Flume Announces ‘Palaces’ World Tour Dates Ahead Of New Album

flume tour dates 2022

Flume just announced his 2022, ‘Palaces’ World Tour to accompany the release of his third album coming later this year.

Earlier this month, he dropped the first single from the album, “Say Nothing” with MAY-A.

The 13-track album will follow up the Grammy Award-winning producer’s album ‘Skin’ from 2016. In a short video that announced the upcoming tour, Flume announced a host of supporting acts that are set to join him, from Channel Tres, Chrome Sparks, EPROM, Jon Hopkins, Oklou, Magdalena Bay, Tinashe, Tkay Maidza, and more.

While details have only been announced for the first North American leg of the tour starting off on April 14th in Las Vegas, the video mentions decals on the bike representing Germany, France, Portugal, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, and the U.K. but we don’t have any confirmed dates on details on that front other than the video.

Flume will be taking the tour to both weekends of Coachella, Governors Ball, and Bonnaroo among the other stops he’s already announced from April through the beginning of September 2022.

While only one track has still been released, an official press release touts the album as Flume’s “most confident, mature and uncompromising work to date, a true testament to nurturing the relationships that make us whole and bring us peace.”

Tickets go on Pre-sale on February 15th, and the general sales will follow starting February 18th. Complete details of the tours and tickets can be found here .

Australian producer Flume will return to North America for his first tour dates in nearly three years this April, in support of his forthcoming album ‘Palaces’.

Flume had previously been announced as part of the 2022 Coachella line-up in April, as well as Bonnaroo and New York City’s Governors Ball this June. Headlining shows for the producer have now been announced that are largely based around these festival dates. The tour will culminate with two nights at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado in early September.

He made his official return last week with ‘Say Nothing’ , featuring Australian pop singer MAY-A, which serves as the lead single from ‘Palaces’. Damon Albarn , Caroline Polachek and Kučka are also set to appear on the album, which is set for release on May 20.

Flume’s 2022 ‘Palaces (Stage 1)’ North American tour dates are:

Flume shows the love with four upcoming PNW tour stops in 2022

' src=

Ahead of his upcoming third full-length album, Palaces,  world-renowned producer Flume unveiled the remainder of his supporting tour stops for his 2022 US Tour. Finally, we’re seeing more than we could have asked for in terms of PNW representation with a whopping four stops in our region. Flume is showing the PNW love on a big scale.

View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Flume (@flume)

With 36 stops across the US and Europe (and more promised to come), the Palaces tour is going big. The four PNW stops from the 10th-16th of September include Seattle, Vancouver BC, Bend, and Boise. Pre-sale goes live on Wednesday, April 27th for each.

Although it’s been roughly four years since we’ve seen Flume venture over to the PNW for a performance at Bumbershoot , he’s stayed plenty busy. Headlining festival slots around the world and releasing a critically acclaimed full-length mixtape, Hi This is Flume , the Australian producer continues to enjoy the fruits of his labor.

We may not be sure what we can expect for a set but after the release of Palaces on May 20th, we might have a better idea. So far his four released album singles to date include everything we love about Flume. They’re produced with mastery, thoughtful vocals, and a fresh sound with every track.

Check out the full details for the four PNW Flume shows below, and find ticket links to each.

September 10, 2022: Seattle, WA . At the WaMu Theater. Openers: Prospa, A.G. Cook, and Quiet Bison.

flume tour 2022

Flume’s U.S. Tour, in support of his new album “ Palaces ”, has just swept through the East Coast with a run of shows including stops in Pennsylvania, Washington D.C., and at Governor’s Ball in New York, N.Y. before it will head to the United Kingdom, Europe, and Australia in the Fall of 2022.

Flume’s Tour Photos

As a 30-year old Australian music producer and DJ, Flume is no stranger to putting on a good show. After coming off a massive Coachella performance, his music selection for the set poured energy throughout the sold-out crowd at Red Hat Amphitheater in Raleigh, NC. Opening support was provided by Tinashe & Jim-E Stack.

Flume, also known as Harley Streten, has grown his success in the non-traditional “experimental” electronic music scene.

While his songs might not have the typical build up followed with a “drop” commonly found in house and bass electronic dance music, his unique style, and use of synth’s, and off count drum beats provide fans with a unique live electronic music experience.

His tour stage closely resembled his Coachella setup most notably with two tables on the left and right that held a wide array of music equipment, synths, and DJ controllers.

Behind the tables stood a giant white fabric archway that served as a background for live projection visuals allowing lights to cut through the back creating abstract colors and scenes.

The archway seemed to change and expand throughout the set which made his stage dynamic throughout the show.

Flume’s set included a variety of his catalogue including songs off his new album,  Palaces, which just released in May of 2022. Palaces is Streten’s third studio album and most exciting attempt at his experimental style of electronic music.

The best part of the show had to be when MAY-A (Maya Cumming), a 20-year old Australian singer-songwriter, came out and performed live alongside Flume.

Her elegant vocals on “Say Nothing” were enchanting in addition to “Never Be Like You”, originally sang by Kai creating a beautiful addition to the show.

Flume didn’t leave fans short by playing a multi-song encore including “On Top” off his self-titled 2012 album and finishing the night off with his smashing Lorde remix of “Tennis Courts”.

Hints and tips for improving your chances of getting Flume tickets

Make sure you have a my ticketmaster account.

Get the basics covered before tickets go on sale by logging in and checking your Ticketmaster account ahead of time. If you don’t have a Ticketmaster Account then make sure you sign up in advance –  Ticketmaster.com.au .

Sign into your My Ticketmaster account ahead of time

Remember to triple check your passwords, account information, and billing information are all filled in correctly in advance, that way you’re not facing any last-minute account updates when trying to process your order.

Keep your options open with ‘Best Available’

Save time by searching “Best Available,” which scans all sections fast – it’s quicker than searching sections one at a time.

Keep an eye on the clock

There will be a time limit applied to all transactions as they’re progressed through the ticket purchasing stages. Remember to keep an eye on the timer on your screen and move through the processing pages as quickly as possible (this is even easier when you’ve completed the account set-up stage we mentioned above).

Don’t refresh your screen

Stick to one window while you’re in the  Waiting Room  and when you’re being pushed through  the Smart Queue  and always resist the urge to refresh.

Hitting the refresh button means you’ll lose your place in the queue and, as frustrating as it can get, patience is the only way to win this game. Ticketmaster is equipped with sophisticated systems that are designed to manage and process ticket purchases as quickly as possible. The queuing system that appears on your screen will place you at the front of the line as soon as possible.

Remember: there are a lot of fans

We’re expecting this to be a very popular event. When a popular event goes on sale there are hundreds, and sometimes thousands, of customers all attempting to purchase tickets at the same time. Tickets are sold as long as seats are available, and sometimes they go very quickly.

Be sure to follow the above tips to ensure you have the best chance of snapping up some tickets.

Flume will bring his new album Palaces to venues around Australia in November and December 2022. Tickets are on sale via Ticketmaster.com.au.

French citizen arrested in Moscow on charges of collecting military data

MOSCOW (AP) — Russia's top state criminal investigation agency on Thursday announced the arrest of a French citizen accused of collecting information on military issues, a move that comes as relations between Russia and France have grown increasingly tense over the fighting in Ukraine.

The arrest was announced just as France hosted world leaders on the 80th anniversary of D-Day on Thursday. Russia wasn’t invited.

Russia's Investigative Committee said the suspect, whom it didn't identify, is accused of failing to register with authorities as a foreign agent while collecting “information about military and military-technical activities of the Russian Federation.” It added that the information could be used to the detriment of the country's security.

It posted a video showing officers detaining the suspect at a cafe and driving him to the committee's Moscow offices for interrogation. The charges carry a penalty of up to five years in prison.

There was no immediate comment from French authorities.

The arrest comes during a strain in Russian-French ties that followed French President Emmanuel Macron's statements about the possibility of deploying the country's troops in Ukraine.

Moscow has warned that French soldiers would be legitimate targets for Russia if they are sent to Ukraine.

The charges against the French citizen are based on a recently approved law that requires anyone who collects information on military issues to register with authorities as a foreign agent.

Human rights activists have criticized the law and other newly endorsed legislation as part of a multi-pronged Kremlin crackdown on independent media and political activists intended to muzzle criticism of its actions in Ukraine.

Arrests on charges of spying and collecting sensitive data have become increasingly frequent in Russia since it sent troops into Ukraine in February 2022.

Recent high-profile arrests include Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich, who was arrested on espionage charges in March 2023, and U.S.-Russian journalist Alsu Kurmasheva, who was taken into custody in October 2023 for failing to register as a “foreign agent.”

Russia's Lavrov takes anti-western tour to Chad

R ussian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Wednesday arrived in Chad, the last leg of a tour of African nations marked by strong anti-Western sentiment and the promise of greater military backing against jihadists.

The veteran diplomat has offered to strengthen economic, trade and above all military cooperation with Guinea, Congo and Burkina Faso, his first stops.

The Kremlin has seen relations with the West plummet since Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022 and has doubled down on efforts to boost its influence in Africa, replacing western powers, above all France.

"It's not peace that the Westerners want to preserve," in Ukraine, Lavrov told journalists, but "the following principles: you have to choose between supporting Russia or supporting" Ukraine.

"And if you support Russia, you will be punished," he said.

Chad is one of the last pieces Moscow is trying to put together in the Sahel region, which not long ago was France's sphere of influence.

France has seen its troops dismissed from Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso by their military regimes since 2022.

Mercenaries from Russia's Wagner group have arrived, all presented as military instructors.

Paris still deploys about 1,000 soldiers in Chad, and says it intends to stay there, if in reduced numbers.

- Russian military instructors -

Rumours of armed Russians working alongside Chadian soldiers, notably in the south, are rife on social media.

But officially for now, N'Djamena is the last hold-out against the Russian influx.

Lavrov held talks with Chad's General Mahamat Idriss Deby who has just been elected president after three years at the head of a military junta.

Deby paid a visit to Moscow in January, raising questions about his plans to broaden his international allies.

"For six months we've seen a veritable warming of relations between Russian and Chad," African studies expert Vsevolod Sviridov told AFP in Moscow.

Paris has remained solidly behind Deby even though other western capitals have voiced concern at the contested election and the violent crackdown on all opposition.

"Our friendship with Chad will not influence its relations with France," Lavrov said in N'Djamena.

"France has a different approach: either you are with us or you are against us," he added.

In Burkina Faso on Wednesday, Lavrov said the number of Russian military instructors there "will increase".

"At the same time, we are training in Russia representatives of the armed forces and security forces of Burkina Faso," he said in the capital Ouagadougou.

- 'Destroy terrorists' -

Jihadist rebels affiliated with Al-Qaeda and the Islamic State group have waged a grinding insurgency since 2015 in Burkina Faso that has killed thousands of people and displaced two million.

"I have no doubt that thanks to this cooperation, the pockets of terrorists which remain in Burkina Faso will be destroyed," the Russian minister said.

In Guinea on Monday, Lavrov congratulated the country for being "in the avant-guard of the decolonisation process".

On Tuesday, in Congo, Lavrov took aim at the West's support of Ukraine and its supposed "objectives" elsewhere, such as Libya.

Last July, Russian President Vladimir Putin invited African leaders to a summit in Saint Petersburg where he said they agreed to promote a multipolar world order and to fight neo-colonialism.

Putin hailed the "commitment of all our states to the formation of a just and democratic multipolar world order".

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov arrived in N'Djamena on the last leg of his Africa tour

Any French military in Ukraine would be a 'legitimate target' for Russian forces, Lavrov says

Russia’s foreign minister says any French military instructors in Ukraine would be “a legitimate target” for Russian armed forces

OYO, Republic of Congo — Any French military instructors in Ukraine would be a “legitimate target” for Russian armed forces, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Tuesday during a tour of Africa , where frustration with the West has swayed several countries toward Moscow.

Lavrov made the remarks at joint news conference with the Republic of Congo’s Foreign Minister Jean Claude Gakosso.

“As for the French instructors, I think they are already on the Ukrainian territory,” Lavrov said, referring to the military instructors that France could send to train Ukrainian troops. “Regardless of their status, military officials or mercenaries represent a legitimate target for our armed forces.”

Ukraine’s top commander said last week he had signed paperwork allowing French military instructors to access Ukrainian training centers soon. But French President Emmanuel Macron said last week he would not comment on “rumors or decisions that could be made.” He said he would elaborate on France's support during the 80th anniversary commemorations of D-Day later this week.

Macron’s office said it would not comment on Lavrov’s remarks. Also Tuesday, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said that “instructors who train the Kyiv regime’s troops don’t have any sort of immunity, and it doesn’t matter whether they are French or not.”

Lavrov has visited the African continent several times in the past few years as Russia seeks to shore up support amid Moscow’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. A number of African countries in recent years have expressed growing frustration with their traditional Western partners like France and the United States. Some of them have instead turned to Russia to seek help in fighting Islamic insurgencies.

Lavrov on Tuesday also dismissed the Ukraine peace conference due to take place later this month in Switzerland. Russia was not invited.

“This conference in Switzerland has no meaning,” he said. “The only meaning it can have is to try to preserve this anti-Russian bloc which is in the process of crumbling.”

Republic of Congo was the second stop in Lavrov’s tour. He visited Guinea on Monday and met with the foreign minister.

Late on Tuesday, he landed at the airport of the Burkina Faso capital Ouagadougou, the country’s authorities said in a statement on social media. Lavrov was scheduled to meet on Wednesday with Capt. Ibrahim Traore, the country’s leader who took power following a 2022 military coup. He was expected in Chad on Wednesday afternoon, the country’s authorities said in a statement.
