The final Eras Tour dates: Where to see Taylor Swift in US, Canada in 2024

Taylor Swift is bringing the Eras Tour to North America for one last victory lap that starts with three nights in Miami Gardens, Florida, the weekend of Oct. 18-20.

She’ll hit five venues on the final leg of a tour she launched at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona – or Swift City as Glendale rebranded itself (albeit symbolically) for the opening weekend — with a 44-song journey through her catalog on March 17, 2023.

The Eras Tour has since become the highest-grossing tour of all time and the  first tour in history to generate more than $1 billion  in revenue.

There’s a concert film, naturally. Released in theaters worldwide on Oct. 13, 2023, "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour" quickly overtook a Justin Bieber movie to become the  highest-grossing concert film in history .

Following The Eras Tour launch, Swift immediately shot to  No. 1 on Pollstar's Artist Power Index chart , ending 2023 as  Time magazine’s perfectly obvious choice for Person of the Year .

Taylor Swift is, at long last, headed back on the road. Following this week’s monumental chart debut of Midnights , her tenth studio album, Swift announced the U.S. leg of her 2023 Eras tour on Tuesday morning (Nov. 1), confirming her first official tour in nearly five years following months of rumors.

“I wanted to tell you something that I’ve been so excited about for a really long time. I’ve been planning for ages and I finally get to tell you: I’m going back on tour,” Swift said on GMA . “The tour is called the Eras tour and it’s a journey through all of the musical eras of my career.”

Swift said that after kicking off in the U.S., the tour will go on an international swing, with those dates to be announced soon.

Support on the tour will come via a rotating cast of opening acts including Paramore, beabadoobee, Phoebe Bridgers, girl in red, Muna, Haim, Gayle, Gracie Abrams and Owenn. The public on-sale date for the tour will be 10 a.m. local venue time on Nov. 18. Swift has partnered with Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program, with fans able to register here for the TaylorSwiftTix presale now through Nov. 9 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Swift’s planned follow-up to the Reputation tour, Lover Fest, was scheduled to take place in 2020 following the 2019 release of her Lover album, but was canceled due to the pandemic. Since the Reputation tour, Swift has released four original studio albums — Lover , 2020’s Folklore and Evermore , and Midnights — as well as two re-recorded albums, Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version) , both in 2021.

This week, Midnights blasted in atop the Billboard 200 albums chart with 1.578 million equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending Oct. 27, according to Luminate — the biggest week for any album in nearly seven years. Meanwhile, Swift made history on the Hot 100 by becoming the first artist to claim the chart’s entire top 10 in a single frame, with “Anti-Hero” debuting at No. 1 to become her ninth career chart-topper.

Taylor Swift's 'Eras Tour' Is Going To Japan, Australia, Europe & More

The singer announced more international tour dates for the Eras Tour .

Taylor Swift is back on tour for the first time in five years. Since her last tour, she’s put out a whopping four albums, each with its own mythology, color scheme and unique sound to mark whatever era of her life — both creatively and musically — she’s currently in. When it comes to Taylor, there’s something for everyone: There’s the longing cottage-core of folklore and evermore , the self-hating, depressive late nights of Midnights , the dreamy rosy-eyed glasses of Lover . Swift is now revisiting these eras on her latest Eras Tour which, after an extensive 2023 U.S., Mexico, and South America run, will finally make its way overseas in 2024 to Japan, Australia, Singapore, and Europe.

In true Taylor form, she’s bringing her friends along for the ride — who encompass a wide swatch of generations and music tastes as varied as Swift’s own catalogue. Swift is supported by Paramore, beabadoobee, Phoebe Bridgers, girl in red, MUNA, HAIM, GAYLE, Gracie Abrams, and OWENN on the tour’s 2023 U.S. leg. (Yes, you have permission to scream!) While Sabrina Carpenter will take over for Swift’s shows in Mexico, Argentina, Brazil and a few 2024 dates in Australia and Singapore. Paramore will return as openers for her 2024 European shows.

The Eras Tour kicked off March 18, 2023 in Glendale, AZ, the same place her “Reputation” tour began in 2018, with the U.S. leg wrapping in L.A.’s SoFi Stadium on August 9 — the same place she was set to open her 2020 Lover Fest mini-tour. Following shows in Mexico and South America, she embarks on her third leg of international dates starting February 2024.

For everything else we know about attending Swift’s Eras tour, including the full tour schedule, dates, and how to score tickets, read on.

Where is the 2023 Eras Tour Playing?

On June 20, Swift announced the international third leg of the Eras tour, consisting of shows in Japan, Australia, Singapore, and various countries throughout Europe. This run of dates kicks off in February 2024 in Japan, and wraps mid-August in London. See the full schedule below.

Who is opening on the Eras Tour ?

Paramore is opening for Swift across all the European dates of the 2024 international leg of the Eras Tour — that’s a whopping 48 shows.

Sabrina Carpenter , meanwhile, will be the sole opener for the entirety of the Mexico and South America leg of the tour, and on select dates in the 2024 international leg.

For the U.S. leg, Swift had a different opener (or two!) depending on the city and which include entirely women bands. Many of whom are artists she’s collaborated with before and who make music you can cry, or scream to: Paramore, beabadoobee, Phoebe Bridgers, girl in red, MUNA, HAIM, GAYLE, Gracie Abrams, and OWENN.

BREAKING: Inflation cools to 2.5%, slowest rate in over three years

Taylor Swift announces 2023 ‘Eras Tour’ of U.S. stadiums; international dates to come

NSAI 2022 Nashville Songwriter Awards

Taylor Swift  announced Tuesday morning her long-rumored return to the road, with an outing dubbed the “Eras Tour” scheduled to hit U.S. stadiums beginning in March 2023 and running into August, with international dates set to be revealed later.

The supporting acts are very much all about the sisterhood, with a host of acts Swift has championed in the past. Opening acts for the U.S. leg of the tour are Paramore, Haim, Phoebe Bridgers, Beabadoobee, Girl in Red, Muna, Gayle, Gracie Abrams and Owenn.

The tour starts March 18, 2023 in what is apparently a sweet spot for Swift, Glendale, AZ, the same place her last outing, the pre-pandemic “Reputation” tour, began in 2018.

The U.S. leg wraps up four and a half months later with two nights at L.A.’s SoFi Stadium Aug. 4-5 — the venue she was set to open as a concert venue in 2020 with the canceled “Lover Fest” mini-tour.

As for which album we can consider the tour to be supporting, since she has released four original studios albums since her last tour? All of them. Swift described the tour as “a journey through the musical eras of my career (past and present!),” with a graphic showing her look from different phases of her career.

The public on-sale happens at 10 a.m. local time on Nov. 18. As with all major tours nowadays, there will be an earlier rollout of tickets for credit card members, in this case holders of Capital One cards, beginning Nov. 15 at 10 a.m. local time.

As with her previous tour, there will be a Ticketmaster Verified Fan program “to ensure tickets get into the hands of fans.” Aspiring ticket buyers can register for the setup now through Nov. 9  here .

Unusually in the modern era of variably priced “platinum tickets” where fans get little information about set ticket prices, Swift has announced the cost of her tickets in advance. They run from $49 up to $449, with VIP packages that start at $199 and go up to $899.

Swift’s announcement promised that international dates are to follow.

Of all her “Eras,” Swift is really due to represent the modern one on tour, as much as fans may relish the idea of a somewhat nostalgically themed outing encompassing the full spectrum of her career. She has released “Lover,” “Folklore,” “Evermore” and now “ Midnights ” since she last was on the road, along with bonus-track-aided re-recordings of the “Red” and “Fearless” albums, any one of which would have been occasion enough to prompt its own tour in an era before the entire concert scene necessarily hit a pause.

There was an attention to detail in the tour announcement even in the graphics signifying the opening acts at different spots in the tour routing, with Bridgers, for instance, being represented by a tiny ghost, in honor of the skeleton costume she’s used on her own headlining tours.

Not accidental, probably, is how that same graphic breaks the tour itinerary down into two columns of 13 dates each. There will be 26 shows in 20 cities. The venues getting a two-night stand are in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Chicago, Arlington, TX, Foxborough, MA and East Rutherford, NJ.

The reception for “Midnights” upon its October release left no doubt just how strong the appetite for Swift tickets will be. It had the biggest week since Adele’s “25” album, per Luminate this week, with 1,578,000 album-equivalent units.

Additionally, it was announced Monday that for the first time in history, all 10 top slots of the Billboard Hot 100 were filled by a single artist’s songs, with “Anti-Hero” leading the way at No. 1. Fans very much wanted the full album, anyway — of the nearly 1.6 million album units registered for “Midnights,” 1,140,000 were copies purchased in the form of the full album. It became Swift’s fifth album, out of her 10 original studio releases overall, to sell a million-plus copies in the first week out. The figure also represented the best first-week sales for an album by any performer since “Reputation” came out of the gate with 1,216,000.

Taylor Swift endorses Kamala Harris, warns of AI dangers in election

Pop superstar Taylor Swift has endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for president, citing concerns about AI-generated misinformation in the electoral process. Her move could reignite debates around artificial intelligence regulation.

Swift voiced her support for the Democratic ticket on Instagram and expressed unease about AI’s potential to spread false information during the campaign. She boasts one of the largest social media followings globally.

“Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site,” Swift wrote. “It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation. It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.”

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Taylor Swift (@taylorswift)

The incident Swift referenced involves AI-generated images that appeared to show her endorsing former President Donald Trump, shared across all social media platforms. This follows explicit deepfakes of the singer circulating online months ago, which prompted calls for stricter AI regulation from lawmakers and tech industry leaders.

Reigniting AI regulation discussions

Swift’s endorsement and remarks about AI misinformation underscore growing concerns among public figures and policymakers about the technology’s potential to disrupt democratic processes. It also highlights challenges facing tech companies and legislators in balancing innovation with safeguards against misuse.

Federal legislation regulating AI remains elusive, but some states have taken action. Tennessee, Swift’s home state, recently passed the Ensuring Likeness Image and Voice Security (ELVIS) Act , protecting artists against AI impersonation and deepfakes.

In October, the Biden administration issued an executive order outlining the government’s policy positions on AI and directing federal agencies to explore the use of generative AI applications. The order also established the AI Safety Institute under the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Both OpenAI and Anthropic have agreed to send their unreleased models to the AI Safety Institute for safety evaluations.

Last year, the Biden administration appointed Vice President Harris to represent the U.S. at the UK AI Summit . During the presidential debate on September 10, Harris emphasized the need for the U.S. to “win the competition for the 21st century” by leading the world in AI and quantum computing, supported by American-made chips.

Meanwhile, Trump’s running mate, J.D. Vance, has earned praise from tech leaders for his support of open-source AI .

Taylor Swift breaks silence on US elections, endorses Kamala Harris

taylor swift tour us dates

Taylor Swift, a self-declared “childless cat lady,” has endorsed Kamala Harris for president of the United States.

The global megastar broke her silence on the current state of US politics, voicing support for Harris over Donald Trump for the White House, and calling the Democratic candidate a “steady-handed, gifted leader.”

“I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election,” she posted on Instagram in the minutes following a televised presidential debate that saw the candidates face off for the first time, which Swift said she had watched.

“I’m voting for Kamala Harris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them,” Swift wrote.

“I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.”

View this post on Instagram

She signed off her Instagram post by dubbing herself a “childless cat lady,” a swipe at a much-mocked sentiment expressed by Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance which he had wielded in a bid to insult Democratic women.

Until Tuesday, Swift had been conspicuously quiet on the subject, even as many of her fans began organising under the banner “Swifties for Kamala” and raising tens of thousands of dollars for the Democratic hopeful.

Earlier, Swift came under fire for her very public friendship with Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who Trump thanked for her support.

According to Forbes , Taylor Swift fans often watched their favourite pop star like a hawk and searched for hidden meaning in Swift’s everyday actions, which resulted in Swift’s embrace of Mahomes being interpreted as a political act.

With her endorsement of Harris, Swift put those interpretations to bed.

The 34-year-old said that discovering that AI-generated images of her falsely endorsing Trump, which “conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation,” had inspired her to speak up.

“It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter,” she said.

“The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.”

She encouraged her legions of loyal fans to “do your research.” Swift, fresh off the European leg of her blockbuster Eras tour, balked at explicitly telling her ardent supporters to vote Harris, instead saying “I’ve done my research, and I’ve made my choice.”

“Your research is all yours to do, and the choice is yours to make.”

The artist did voice special support for Harris’s choice of a running mate, Tim Walz, praising the Minnesota governor for “standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.” -

‘With love and hope’

A global celebrity with hundreds of millions of social media followers and a wildly loyal — and chronically online — fan base, Swift can move any needle with the tiniest of efforts.

The right and the left have long wanted to count the ‘Blank Space’ singer as their own — but for years Swift stayed conspicuously out of politics, including in 2016 when Donald Trump won the presidency.

Speculation abounded that the superstar was a closet Republican until 2018, when she broke both her silence and the internet by endorsing the Democratic opponent of far-right politician Marsha Blackburn in Tennessee.

Blackburn won anyway, but it ushered in a new chapter for Swift. She later explained that handlers had urged her against wading into politics, telling her it could damage her career — particularly in the country music industry, which despite its complexities is often associated with conservatism.

An opinion piece by Variety stated that the 2018 endorsement was significant because it was the first time she’d spoken directly about electoral politics.

Swift’s Netflix 2020 feature-length documentary titled Miss Americana , hinges on this decision as she tells her father, who’s opposed to her speaking out, “I need to be on the right side of history.”

Swift endorsed Joe Biden in 2020. She also condemned the Supreme Court’s reversal of the federal right to abortion, and has encouraged droves of her fans to register to vote.

But Swift’s massive popularity has also meant she’s a regular target for political misinformation and right-wing conspiracy theories, often fueled by AI and amplified by the likes of Trump.

Speaking out on her own terms gripped the news cycle within seconds of going live, and her post notched more than two million likes after just 30 minutes and read over four million likes in three hours.

“With love and hope, Taylor Swift,” she concluded her message.

After weeks of silence on the US presidential elections race between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, Swift has finally thrown her support for Harris following the two candidates’ debate. Swift’s stance comes just two months ahead of the election.

Swift wrote on an Instagram post today: “I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election. I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them.”

She continued, sharing her reasoning for supporting Harris: “I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos. I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.”

Swift also noted that she was recently made aware of the Trump campaign’s use of AI – which he claims he had no part in – to falsify her support of the former President and convicted felon’s candidacy : “It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation. It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.”

The pop megastar also urged fans to do their own research and make their own decisions on who to vote for, while reminding first-time voters to register: “I also want to say, especially to first time voters: Remember that in order to vote, you have to be registered! I also find it’s much easier to vote early. I’ll link where to register and find early voting dates and info in my story.”

Taylor Swift is now the latest musician to throw her support behind Kamala Harris. Other big-name acts like Charli XCX ,  Beyoncé , Megan Thee Stallion , P!nk ,  Bon Iver , Quavo and more have come out in support of Harris as she continues to campaign ahead of this November’s election.

On the eve of the 2020 election,  Swift shared a video message in which she encouraged fans to vote , having already  formally endorsed Joe Biden earlier in that campaign . Last year, she  led record-breaking numbers of people to the Vote.org website  after encouraging her fans to register to vote.

Though Swift has yet to address Trump in this go-around, she had previously commented on the Republican nominee, slamming him in 2020: “ We will vote you out in November”, and  accusing him of “gaslighting the American public”  a year earlier.

Back in February, Trump responded to claims that Joe Biden was seeking endorsement from the pop star  to swing the next election  in a series of strange posts where he claimed he made Swift “so much money” , and was fond of her boyfriend – “even though he may be a Liberal, and probably can’t stand me!”

Taylor Swift's response to presidential debate? She quickly endorsed Kamala Harris.

Taylor Swift is endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming presidential election, the pop star revealed Tuesday night following the presidential debate between Harris and former President Donald Trump .

In an Instagram post shared after the debate , Swift wrote in a caption of a photo of her with her cat that she "will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz."

"I'm voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos. I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades," she wrote.

Swift's endorsement was posted just a few minutes after the debate ended. She also urged fans to register to vote.

During her 18-year career, Swift has so far publicly endorsed only three candidates, including Biden in the 2020 race for president .

Many were waiting for Swift's endorsement in the 2024 election, knowing the pop star has the power to move her fans, and speculating she would endorse Harris. Swift has more than 283 million followers on Instagram and has used this platform in the past to encourage her fanbase to register and vote. In the fall of 2023, she helped get more than 30,000 voters registered in just one day. Some swing states in 2020 were decided by less than that margin.

Taylor Swift politics analysis: Why do we care who she votes for?

“We’re thrilled about Taylor Swift's endorsement of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz – like we've said since starting Swifties For Kamala, we've had no doubt that Taylor would endorse at the right time and are excited about the momentum she will bring to this campaign," said Irene Kim, co-founder + executive director of Swifties For Kamala, shortly after Swift posted in support of Harris.

The pop icon's popularity seems only to be growing. She is nearing the end of her almost two-year long Eras Tour — the  highest-grossing tour of all time — added two Grammys this year to her total of 14, was named Time magazine's 2023 person of the year , released the chart-topping "The Tortured Poets Department" album , and her Eras Tour concert film is the highest-grossing concert film of all time.

There had been speculation that Swift would appear at the Democratic National Convention, where stars such as Oprah, The Chicks, Pink, Mindy Kaling and John Legend threw their support behind Harris.

Her endorsement addressed subjects from IVF to LGBTQ+ rights. Within an hour of posting, more than 3 million people had liked the post, ranging from Chrissy Teigen and Selena Gomez to Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark and Olympic soccer midfielder Rose Lavelle.

"Like many of you, I watched the debate tonight. If you haven’t already, now is a great time to do your research on the issues at hand and the stances these candidates take on the topics that matter to you the most. As a voter, I make sure to watch and read everything I can about their proposed policies and plans for this country," Swift wrote.

"Recently I was made aware that AI of 'me' falsely endorsing Donald Trump's presidential run was posted to his site ," Swift wrote, referencing Trump taking to his social media platform  Truth Social  and posting several suspected artificial intelligence-generated images alluding to  Swift  and Swifties' support for his campaign, despite the singer  vocalizing disdain for the Republican nominee in the past .

"It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation. It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth," she said.

Trump appeared in the spin room after the debate and spoke to reporters. Asked for his reaction to Swift's endorsement of Harris, he replied, "I have no idea."

Swift, who has helped drive people to register to vote in past elections, apparently will do so again.

"I've done my research, and I've made my choice. Your research is all yours to do, and the choice is yours to make. I also want to say, especially to first time voters: Remember that in order to vote, you have to be registered! I also find it's much easier to vote early. I'll link where to register and find early voting dates and info in my story," she said. Her Instagram story included a link to vote.gov where people can register to vote or update their registration.

She signed the message "With love and hope, Taylor Swift," adding "Childless Cat Lady" in a direct dig at comments made by Trump's running mate, Sen. JD Vance . The Republican vice presidential nominee  came under fire  for his "childless cat lady" remarks in July, when a  2021 interview resurfaced in which he labeled women without biological children, including Harris, as "childless cat ladies" with "no direct stake" in America.

Evolution of Taylor Swift's political voice

In 2012, the singer told Norwegian journalist Fredrik Skavlan why she didn't voice her political opinions. "I just figure I'm a 22-year-old singer and I don't know if people really want to hear my political views," she said . "I think they just kind of want to hear me sing songs about breakups and feelings." The audience laughed, and the host moved on.

The singer stayed mum in the 2016 matchup between Trump and Hillary Clinton. She kicked the hinges off the political closet in 2018 endorsing U.S. Senate candidate Phil Bredesen , U.S. Rep. Jim Cooper in his 2018 re-election bid to Tennessee's 5th Congressional District, and  Biden in the 2020 race for president .

In 2020, the singer explained in her documentary "Miss Americana" why she stopped being afraid to voice her opinion. When warned by her publicist about Trump coming after her, Swift quipped, "I don't care. If I get bad press for saying, 'Don't put a homophobic racist in office,' then I get bad press for that."

The year 2020 was an active one for the singer on X, formerly Twitter. She posted a series of political tweets , anti-Trump tweets and Harris retweets .

She baked cookies with "Biden 2020" frosting and spoke to V Magazine about speaking up.

"The change we need most is to elect a president who recognizes that people of color deserve to feel safe and represented, that women deserve the right to choose what happens to their bodies, and that the LGBTQIA+ community deserves to be acknowledged and included," she said. "I will proudly vote for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in this year’s presidential election. Under their leadership, I believe America has a chance to start the healing process it so desperately needs."

How much pull could Taylor Swift's endorsement have?

Swift's power is massive among her diverse fan base that she habitually has encouraged to register and vote. In the fall of 2023, she helped get more than 30,000 voters registered in just one day. Some swing states in 2020 were decided by less than that margin.

"She has enormous potential to deliver a message, including an endorsement, that could carry considerable weight with some of the voters that both parties need to attract and motivate," says Nancy Gibbs, the Edward R. Murrow Professor of the Practice of Press, Politics and Public Policy at Harvard University. "Influence is not the same as power; it’s more about faith than force, more a skill than a tool. She has shown she can wield it extremely effectively and shrewdly."

Swift has nine shows left in the U.S.: three in Miami, three in New Orleans and three in Indianapolis. Her final of three shows in Indianapolis is on Nov. 3, two days before the election.
