Infested with mosquitoes. Don’t book here if there is rain in the forecast, the entire grounds flood. Complete swamp. Staff was nice but the grounds are very very under KOA standards. Will never stay here again. We tent camped and our tents got flooded and we had to stay in our vehicles. The staff should have been nice enough to relocate us knowing that our sites flood. Even if there was a small chance of rain, they shouldn’t have taken the chance to ruin a family camping trip. Horrible experience. Traffic and trains make for a difficult sleep, chess pieces are all broken, play ground hadn’t been pressure washed in a long time also out dated/old and small. The campground kept loosing power. The pool was very slippery getting in, I fell luckily holding on to the railing, but my daughter in law wasn’t so lucky, she fell hard and got hurt getting in the pool.

The location was perfect to everything we wanted to do in Memphis! The staff was friendly & very helpful. The sites were nice & shaded! The camp store had everything you might forgot & need. Had ample space to walk the dogs.

Stay away from this place made a reservation tried to cancel an hour later when I realized it was the wrong KOA they told me to bad! This is just bad business! I have never experienced such a response and hour after making a reservation!

My family planned a trip from Virginia to Texas and back for spring break to visit family and see the country. We have a 28’ travel trailer that we tow behind a large SUV. We planned to split our travel into 2 legs each way. Our first stay was at the Memphis KOA, just across the Mississippi River into Arkansas. Our first day was just under 14 hours of driving and about 2 hours away from the campground we started to receive severe weather alerts and warnings. We were still heading that direction when we started to receive Tornado warnings for our route and for the area the campground was in. We made the decision to travel south and get away from the worst of the storms adding 5 more hours of drive time. We notified the campground we were diverting due to weather and the staff answering the phones seemed to agree whole heartedly that they were expecting severe weather. We ended up staying at a rest area amongst the tractor trailers who never turn their engines off for some rest before we resumed our trek to Texas. A coupe days later I received an email from Memphis KOA that I had been charged the entire rate for my cancellation. I emailed the site and corporate and was told it was up to the site manager to either reimburse or reduce the rate of the cancellation fee. I will attach the Memphis KOA response, basically they deal with inclement weather and cancellation all the time. So my advice would be not to make reservations to this facility and if you choose to stay here reserve as close to the date you need to avoid wasting money. As for us we will never utilize this campground moving forward as they value profit above safety. FROM KOA MEMPHIS; We, at Memphis KOA, take the safety of our guest VERY seriously. Our spring can be plagued by sever weather such as tornados and straight line winds. Our general manager and staff constantly monitor the weather when we are under a tornado watch/warning. We inform our guests about the location of our tornado shelter. If a tornado warning is issued we stay on top of the location of the tornado and notify guests as appropriate. This means we will knock on every camper door to let campers know they need to seek shelter until the threat has passed. As for the cancellation policy, the cancellation policy for all KOAs is if a reservation is cancelled less than 48 hours of the arrival date, the guest forfeits their deposit. We had several cancellations last week when the tornado hit Little Rock and Wynne Arkansas. All of those guests forfeited their deposit. We make a notation, in the cancellation window, that weather was the deciding factor in the cancellation. This is a corporate policy and not a policy that Memphis KOA controls. I do hope that you keep your membership as this saves you 10% on all KOA reservations. Thank you for choosing Memphis KOA. Safe travels Crystal

We got into this campground late and got up early, but they offered a great breakfast. (they also offer dinner meals, but we weren't able to take part). The sites seemed spacious and there seemed to be a lot of activities at the park. It was a quiet park and was our last stop on our trip.

We had a wonderful experience at this RV park. Upon arrival the manager and office staff were very friendly and welcoming, they got me checked in and into a spot quickly. The first thing I noticed was this place is very well kept and constantly has workers driving in there golf carts making sure everything is in top top shape. The valet trash (set on curb at 10 am for pick up) was great, even though dumpster is not far and I could have taken it myself no issue. We camped in site D which is away from the highway and very quiet. The pool was awesome and cleaned often. The bathrooms were kept cool and in great condition. The hookups were easy and it was no problem pulling in our 37 foot RV. We had a mishap with our house battery and long story short our slide got stuck out and we had to wait for a repair. The office gave the names of some repair companies in their brochure, Moses RV is open on the weekend and he had some wonderful tips for us!! With our battery issue we were about an hour late pulling out, the manager wAs very kind and understanding even though the spot was reserved for tonight. I felt very taken care of. Very happy with my stay and absolutely would stay again!! Thank you guys!!

Very conveniently located off the highway and to the heart of Memphis. A quick drive and we were downtown. The staff was very friendly. The bath and showers are dated yet they are clean. Nice food options, you can get a BBQ pulled pork sandwich delivered right to your site.

Sites are close together similar to most KOAs.

Nice little campground with clean bathrooms, an outdoor kitchen area, and more. Just a warning, the interstate is loud. Jake brakes all night long!!!! Writing this review at midnight in my tent. This is probably a much less of an issue for an RV guest.

One of the nicest KOAs I have stayed in. I accidentally booked the campsite for the following night but the lady at the desk, Carolyn, was kind enough to make room for us. The showers and restrooms were very clean. It was a little loud because it was right next to the interstate, but overall a great campsite.

Standard KOA Campground. We were here to explore Memphis, Tennessee and this campground met our needs. We didn't realize at first that the campground was actually located in Arkansas. It is about 20 minutes north from Memphis and is an easy on/off from the highway making this location convenient.

We stayed in the tent section, which was conveniently located close to the bath house and included electricity and water. We visited this campground at the end of February 2016, and it wasn't crowded. Despite being right next to the highway, it was pretty quiet.

The bath house was basic, but clean and offered hot showers. There was a lounge that a closed at 5:00 pm and laundry facilities that were open 24 hours. The wifi offered worked and was pretty quick.

There are a few shopping areas, including grocery stores, just down the highway on the road towards Memphis.

NOTE: The $22.02 was for electricity/water and included the KOA 10% discount.

It’s ok for a KOA. A little run down. Quite even though it’s right off the interstate. Sites close together. Gravel. Won’t have time to check it out any more than that.

The Memphis KOA carries the KOA “Journey” branding aimed at campers on the way to somewhere else and it’s fit for this campground. It’s right on top of the expressway without much around it.

We found road noise to be louder than most campgrounds near the expressway and were surprised the other two reviews mentioned it being quiet. It wasn’t unbearable or anything, but you know you’re near the road.

The bath house was very clean, the staff was clearly on top of it. The camp store is better stocked than most. The grounds themselves could use some cleanup and maintence.

This was only our second KOA. Our first KOA was extremely nice, so we were very disappointed with this KOA. It was fairly old and run down. The spaces were also very tight. We did not like that they offered fire rings, as our neighbor's fire rings were literally only a couple feet from our RV. Thankfully they did not have a fire as we would normally never start a fire that close to our rig.

Also, we had booked a 20/30 Amp site because they didn't have any 50 Amp sites available. They almost refused to let us stay because our rig can use 50 Amp. I guess their older electrical system has issues handling rigs that may try to pull more than 30 Amps. According to the workamper there, this is not an uncommon issue, but this was the first time we encountered this issue.

Cell service was okay at this location as we were able to work remotely. Unfortunately I cannot remember if we used AT&T or Verizon.

Location is good to anything you would need in or around Memphis, TN, park is located nearby to I-55 which is both it's best and worst feature. We happened to be in a spot in the front of the park which is borderline too loud for me and I consider myself a fairly deep sleeper. The second half of our stay is in a different site further away from the expressway so perhaps it will alleviate some of that. Sites are fairly close together however they are sufficient, staff is pleasant, our check in process was a total jumbled mess, apparently we came in on a day where their system was down and they have a new manager. It was rough, but everyone we encountered was super pleasant and honestly wasn't even really an inconvenience for us, just noticed the office in a bit of a disarray. Camp store is well stocked in case you forget some things, propane on site, grounds are decent except the roads, the potholes are really bad, just take your time and you'll be fine. If your rig made it through the Memphis roads it will survive this I promise. Hookups were very well maintained, and our spot number 49 even had two sewer hookups one about midway in the site and one toward the rear for those of you with big rigs and/or 1.5 bath models. Cable is good, wifi is usable, some noticeable speed declines during peak usage times but that is to be expected. Overall the park can't help the loud interstate traffic, I have deducted one star for that, and one star for the embarrassing state of the roads in the park. A truckload or two of gravel, and half a days work would make this a solid 4 star park.

The campground is good overall but is in much need of money and know how to make it better. Drainage for the campground is bad. A survey needs to be done and a drainage plan formed so that water has somewhere to go. The middle of the campground is higher so pick a site towards the middle if possible. Stay away from the muddy end sites. The access road around the periphery is filled with pot holes. They attempt to smooth but next rain brings them right back. Wi-fi is sufficient most times to support streaming, so that is a plus. They have cable TV hookups. Some sites have concrete pads but at least half of those are broken and not level. Our gravel site was level. Staff in the office are friendly and helpful. Laundry room is open 24 hours but requires quarters ($2 per load washer and dryers) and there is no change machine. Must get from office which, due to COVID-19, doesn’t open until 9 am. Try to book at rear of park to get away from interstate traffic noise as much as possible.
