Taylor Swift is, at long last, headed back on the road. Following this week’s monumental chart debut of Midnights , her tenth studio album, Swift announced the U.S. leg of her 2023 Eras tour on Tuesday morning (Nov. 1), confirming her first official tour in nearly five years following months of rumors.

“I wanted to tell you something that I’ve been so excited about for a really long time. I’ve been planning for ages and I finally get to tell you: I’m going back on tour,” Swift said on GMA . “The tour is called the Eras tour and it’s a journey through all of the musical eras of my career.”

Taylor Swift Is ‘IN SHAMBLES’ Over ‘Midnights’ Dominating the Hot 100 Top 10

Swift said that after kicking off in the U.S., the tour will go on an international swing, with those dates to be announced soon.

Support on the tour will come via a rotating cast of opening acts including Paramore, beabadoobee, Phoebe Bridgers, girl in red, Muna, Haim, Gayle, Gracie Abrams and Owenn. The public on-sale date for the tour will be 10 a.m. local venue time on Nov. 18. Swift has partnered with Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program, with fans able to register here for the TaylorSwiftTix presale now through Nov. 9 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Registered fans will get a code with exclusive access to purchase tickets on Nov. 15 starting at 10 a.m. local venue time.

Previous Lover Fest Verified Fan purchasers will get preferred access to participate in the TaylorSwiftTix presale; make sure to register with the same Ticketmaster Account as your Lover Fest purchase. Capital One cardholders will have priority access to purchase tickets on Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. local venue time through Nov. 17 at 10 p.m. local venue time or until supplies last.

Swift’s planned follow-up to the Reputation tour, Lover Fest, was scheduled to take place in 2020 following the 2019 release of her Lover album, but was canceled due to the pandemic. Since the Reputation tour, Swift has released four original studio albums — Lover , 2020’s Folklore and Evermore , and Midnights — as well as two re-recorded albums, Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version) , both in 2021.

This week, Midnights blasted in atop the Billboard 200 albums chart with 1.578 million equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending Oct. 27, according to Luminate — the biggest week for any album in nearly seven years. Meanwhile, Swift made history on the Hot 100 by becoming the first artist to claim the chart’s entire top 10 in a single frame, with “Anti-Hero” debuting at No. 1 to become her ninth career chart-topper.

Couldn't get tickets to see Taylor Swift's The Era Tour in person? You're very much not alone.

Taylor Swift performing on The Eras Tour.

But don't worry, Swifties, there's a way to experience the pop culture juggernaut.

"Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour" will be premiering at AMC Theatres across Maryland starting on Friday, Oct. 13 (obviously) with tickets going on sale Thursday, Aug. 31. Showtimes will run Thursdays to Sundays.

Standard showings are priced at $19.89 (cute!) for adults and $13.13 for seniors and children (of course).

The concert film, which will run 2 hours and 45 minutes long (or short), and will use footage from her first three shows at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

“The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful, electric experience of my life so far and I’m overjoyed to tell you that it’ll be coming to the big screen soon,” Swift said on social media. "Eras attire, friendship bracelets, singing and dancing encouraged… 1, 2, 3 LGB!!!! (IYKYK).”

To avoid a Ticketmaster like debacle, AMC said it has upgraded its website and ticket engines to handle more than five times the largest influx of ticket-buying traffic the company had experienced.

Thankfully, AMC has a large presence in Maryland with theaters in Columbia, Beltsville, Baltimore, Owings Mills, Oxon Hill, Greenbelt, wheaton-Glenmont, Gaithersburg, Waldorf, Lexington Park, Largo, Annapolis, Bel Air, Bethesda, and St. Charles.

How to buy Taylor Swift tickets: Eras Tour dates and prices compared

Taylor Swift's reign continues as she ramps up for the next leg of The Eras Tour. The singer-songwriter will kick off the European portion of her world tour in Paris in May, which will continue throughout the summer. From there, she'll return to North America to tour Canada and a few remaining US cities in the fall. If you're hoping to attend, we've compiled all of the details of The Eras Tour, including how to get Taylor Swift tour tickets.

Swift's Eras Tour has taken the world by storm since March 2023. The three-plus-hour tour features hits from each of Swift's album eras, from "Lover" to her Grammy Award-winning "Midnights." Each show also features surprise songs and occasional guests, so fans never quite know what they're in for. Swift released her latest album, "The Tortured Poets Department," in April, so the Swiftie hype will continue through the summer.

Getting tickets has become its own battle and many fans have waited hours in the Ticketmaster queue to hopefully snag some seats, if they could get a presale ticket code in the first place. While Swift continues to extend the tour, including new US dates, tickets remain hard to come by.

Below, we've put together a guide on everything to know about The Eras Tour, including the tour schedule, ticket purchasing details, resale ticket prices, and the concert film streaming options . You can also peruse resale vendors like StubHub and Vivid Seats at your leisure.

Taylor Swift international tour dates

The Eras Tour international dates resumed on May 9 in Paris. The European tour will run until August 20 in London. UK prices are listed in pounds, and start times vary from city to city. Multiple shows have age restrictions for younger kids and specifics on seating and adult accompaniment. A few venues check that a ticketholder's ID matches the name on the tickets. US dates start in October and can be found under the following table.

Taylor Swift North American tour dates

The Eras tour will return to the US on October 18 in Miami. In addition to the Miami shows, Swift will perform multiple dates in New Orleans and Indianapolis. On November 14, Swift will head to Canada for several shows in Toronto and Vancouver. All North American shows start at 7 p.m. local time.

How to buy tickets for Taylor Swift's 2024 tour

Original standard tickets for Taylor Swift's 2024 sold out long ago for both international and domestic dates. All US tickets and many international tickets were sold through Ticketmaster , although select international locations used different services.

Tickets for most dates are available on resale websites like StubHub and Vivid Seats . These are generally higher-priced than the originals, which are no longer available. Keep in mind that some countries have rules regarding reselling tickets.

On StubHub, UK tour dates come with a note that ticket terms don't permit resale through unauthorized channels and might not be valid for entry. If this ends up being the case, StubHub notes that its FanProtect Guarantee will cover purchasers.

How much are Taylor Swift tickets?

Ticket prices vary by date and location. International resale tickets tend to be a bit cheaper than US resale tickets. It's worth noting that some of the cheapest tickets have restricted views.

StubHub's cheapest European tickets ranged from $190 (Madrid, Spain, on May 29) to £954 (London, England on August 19). The latter is around $1,200 in USD. The lowest prices for most shows are around $200 to $1,000. On Vivid Seats , the cheapest tickets for these dates go for $278 and $963, respectively.

When it comes to North American shows, the cheapest StubHub tickets range from $1,447 (Vancouver, Canada, on December 7) to $2,520 (Indianapolis, Indiana on November 2). Most of the cheapest tickets are priced between $1,500 and $2,250. On Vivid Seats, the cheapest Taylor Swift tickets on these dates start at $1,368 and $2,227, respectively. The two resale vendors generally have similarly priced offerings, but this varies from show to show.

Who is opening for Taylor Swift's tour?

Taylor Swift has a variety of opening acts, from up-and-coming singers to established groups. Opening acts vary by date. For the European leg of the tour, Paramore will open for Swift. In the US and Canada, Gracie Abrams will be the opening act.

Will Taylor Swift add more dates to the Eras Tour?

Taylor Swift has already added additional stops to her tour due to popular demand, including her US tour dates this fall. She also added additional dates to some of her European city stops, including bonus performances in France and the United Kingdom, among other locations. It's unknown whether Swift will end up adding even more tour dates, but by the end of the upcoming US leg she will have been touring for almost two years, so fans shouldn't be surprised if she takes a break.

Will The Tortured Poets Department be a part of the Eras Tour?

It's good news for fans of "The Tortured Poets Department," Swift's new album that dropped on April 19, 2024. Swift is incorporating several of the new tracks into the Eras Tour, as evidenced by the first shows of her European leg. "The Tortured Poets Department" songs currently featured on tour include "But Daddy I Love Him," "So High School," "Down Bad," "Fortnight," "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?," "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived," and "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart."

Since the Eras Tour is already pretty long, this means that Swift is also cutting down a few songs from past Eras that previously made the tour setlist. The songs that were removed from the setlist include "The Archer," "Long Live," "The 1," "The Last Great American Dynasty," "'Tis the Damn Season," and "Tolerate It."

Where can I stream The Eras Tour concert film?

If you'd rather watch The Eras Tour from home, you could always stream it on Disney+. Check out everything you need to know about streaming The Eras Tour concert film in our guide .

Note: Certain services and regions prohibit the resale of tickets. Business Insider does not endorse or condone the illegal reselling of tickets, and entry into an event is at the venue's discretion.

PHILADELPHIA, PA — A Baltimore woman is thanking pop superstar Taylor Swift after the singer stopped in the middle of a Philadelphia concert to defend the woman during an apparent dispute with a security guard.

In a video seen more than 6.2 million times on Twitter, Swift stopped during her performance of "Bad Blood" to address someone offstage.

"She's fine," the singer says before adding, "She didn't do anything."

Swift briefly continued the song before pausing again. "Hey, stop!" she says twice.

It's unclear in the video what was happening or who the pop star was addressing. However, Kelly Inglis of Baltimore — a mother and elementary school teacher in Timonium, CBS News reported — explained in a video shared on friend Caitlin Gabell's TikTok account .

In the caption, Inglis wrote, "Its me, hi, im the problem," referencing Swift's song, "Anti-Hero."

"Basically, the (security) guard had been harassing our group all night just to, like, he kept telling us not to touch the rail, and every time we did anything, he was like on top of us," she said in the video posted Sunday. "We're dancing, we're having fun, and he didn't like it. And Taylor noticed that I was having fun and that he didn't like it, and she didn't like it."

According to Inglis, the security guard was escorted out of the concert, and she and her friends were offered free tickets to the following night's show.

CBS Baltimore reached out to concert venue Lincoln Financial Field for comment. A spokesperson for the stadium said the issue was addressed and resolved internally.

In a follow-up post on her own TikTok , Inglis thanked Swift for her actions.

"I have been a huge fan, Taylor, since I was 17 years old," Inglis said. "The fact that you did that for me last night and you stood up for me meant so, so, so much."

Inglis continued, "You did that for me and for your fans, and if there's anything that I know about you, you just want your fans to go to the show and have fun, and that's all we were doing."

Taylor Swift Says She'll ‘Never Forget a Second' of Her ‘Magical' Eras Tour Concerts in Madrid

Taylor Swift is screaming "long live" all the magic she made with her fans at her two Eras Tour shows in Madrid this week.

One day after wrapping up her two-night stay at Estadio Santiago Bernabéu, the pop star gushed about the time she spent with her Spanish Swifties on Instagram Friday (May 31). "I LOVE YOU FOREVER MADRID!!!" she wrote, sharing a few photos of herself performing on stage. "No ability to convey my thoughts other than to just YELL that."

"We just got to spend 2 magical nights dancing and singing with the most electrifying, passionate crowds and I'll never forget a second of it," she continued. "I can't thank you all enough."

In anticipation of her two shows at Décines-Charpieu in France kicking off June 2, Swift added, "See you 🔜 Lyon!"

The "Fortnight" singer's stay in Madrid was definitely one for the books, with Swift singing mashups of "You're On Your Own Kid" and "Long Live," "King of My Heart," "Jump Then Fall" and "Our Song," "I Look in People's Windows" and "Snow on the Beach," and "Sparks Fly" and "I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can)" as surprise songs . Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds and their three daughters attended , as did the Haim sisters.

Swift is fresh off the release of her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department , which recently nabbed its fifth week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 . The 14-time Grammy winner has been performing tracks from the LP on the European leg of her Eras trek, which kicked off earlier this month in Paris and will run through August before swinging back around for a second North American stint in October.

Taylor swift eras tour concert film coming to movie theaters in october.

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is coming to movie theaters.

Swift announced Thursday that the concert film “Taylor Swift – The Eras Tour” will open in North American theaters Oct. 13. The theater chain AMC, anticipating high demand from Swift fans, said the film will play at least four times a day Thursday, Fridays, Saturday and Sundays at all of its U.S. locations.

“The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful, electric experience of my life so far and I’m overjoyed to tell you that it’ll be coming to the big screen soon,” Swift said on social media channels.

Prices will be higher than usual movie tickets. An adult ticket will cost $19.89 ( “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” is coming soon) and a child ticket is priced at $13.13 (seemingly a nod to her favorite number ). Advance sales began Thursday.

In an usual move, AMC is also acting as distributor for the film. (“The Eras Tour” will additionally play in other chains.) AMC said in anticipation of the announcement, it upgraded its website to handle more than five times the largest ticket buying rush it’s experienced before.
