Taylor Swift is channeling looks from her past 10 albums on her Eras Tour. Take a look at her best outfits, including custom pieces from Versace, Roberto Cavalli and more

Taylor Swift is proving she never goes out of "style" with her recent tour.

On March 17, the singer returned to the stage as she kicked off her highly anticipated Eras Tour . From show-stopping performances to creative transitions , the 3-hour and 13-minute set is a true spectacle but one of the best parts is Swift's stunning costumes.

As Swift takes fans through her extensive music catalog with her 44-song setlist , she perfectly pays tribute to her past 10 albums with custom outfits.

While some pieces are inspired by her different eras (the dazzling Versace bodysuit during the opener encapsulates her Lover aesthetic), other looks are direct references to past tours, including her Roberto Cavalli two-piece for her 1989 set and Nicole + Felicia gown for Speak Now .

Take a look at Swift's Eras Tour outfits ahead.

Taylor Swift's Atelier Versace bodysuit for her Lover set

As Swift opened the show with "Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince" from Lover , she wore a custom Atelier Versace bodysuit adorned in pink and blue jewels, reflecting the dreamy pink and blue skies featured on the album's artwork. She paired the look with silver Christian Louboutin knee-high boots and a bedazzled microphone. During her Las Vegas show on March 24, Swift added a flower necklace by Versace to the ensemble.

During her second night of the tour, Swift surprised fans by wearing a completely different sparkling bodysuit. This look, also by Atelier Versace, was covered in blue and gold jewels, with a matching chain necklace and Christian Louboutin knee-high boots.

During her New Jersey show, Swift wore a new bodysuit by Versace, which included fringe tassels and beading. She paired the look with ombré boots and a Versace butterfly necklace, which was a co-design collaboration with Versace ambassador Dua Lipa.

Taylor Swift's Versace blazer for her Lover set

Before singing her hit song " The Man ," Swift completely transformed her look by adding a Versace blazer that complemented her Christian Louboutin knee-high boots.

Taylor Swift's black blazer for her Lover set

In addition to wearing a different Atelier Versace bodysuit during the second night of her tour, Swift also switched up during her performance of "The Man" by wearing a black pinstripe blazer with sequins.

Taylor Swift's Roberto Cavalli dress for her Fearless set

Swift donned her best dress by Roberto Cavalli as she performed a few songs from her album Fearless . The gold fringe dress was reminiscent of a similar look the designer created for her Speak Now Tour in 2011. She paired the look with Christian Louboutin boots and a bedazzled guitar .

For the second night of the tour, Swift donned a different Roberto Cavalli dress, which was slightly longer and featured gold and silver sequins in an ombré pattern.

Taylor Swift's Etro dress for her Evermore set

Swift went for a whimsical look as she performed various songs from her album Evermore in a yellow Etro dress that featured a corset top and beading detail down the front. For her bewitching performance of "Willow" she added a matching Etro cape.

During her New Jersey concert, Swift wore a new dress for her Evermore set, which was created by Marco de Vincenzo for Etro. This dress played into the woodsy nature of the Evermore album with a darker burgundy color and ruffles throughout.

Taylor Swift's Roberto Cavalli catsuit for her Reputation set

Swift slithered into a Roberto Cavalli catsuit as she performed her Reputation set on stage. The outfit, which featured an intricate pattern resembling snakes intertwined down the one long leg of the ensemble, was reminiscent of the many bodysuits Swift wore during her Reputation Stadium Tour as it was covered in black sequins resembling scales.

Taylor Swift's Nicole + Felicia gown for her Speak Now set

Despite only performing one song during her Speak Now set, Swift nonetheless left fans wonderstruck as she donned a Nicole + Felicia gown for her performance of "Enchanted." The gold gown certainly felt like a homage to Swift's Valentino ballgown from her Speak Now Tour.

Taylor Swift's Zuhair Murad gown for her Speak Now set

During night two, Swift looked like a real-life princess as she wore a Zuhair Murad ballgown , this time in a pink hue that popped against the stage's violet lighting.

Taylor Swift's Elie Saab ballgown for her Speak Now set

During the first night of her Tampa concert, Swift wore a new dress for her Speak Now set, dressing up in an Elie Saab Haute Couture silk tulle ballgown embroidered with gardenia-colored organza petals.

In New Jersey, wore another Elie Saab ballgown in a pale pink. The dress also featured lots of tulle and detailing on the front.

During her Speak Now release weekend, Swift debuted another dress for her Speak Now set, wearing a custom Nicole + Felicia gown. The dress featured multiple layers, with varying colors of purple as a tribute to her third album.

Just before announcing 1989 (Taylor's Version) on Aug. 9, Swift donned a blue dress by Nicole + Felicia during her Speak Now set. She continued to wear different blue outfits throughout the concert.

Taylor Swift's Ashish shirt for her Red set

At the beginning of her Red set, Swift recreated her iconic look from her "22" music video, in which she wears a shirt that reads "Not a lot going on at the moment" with a fedora and shorts. For the concert, she made one critical change, dropping the "not" from the T-shirt slogan. The shirt was custom by Ashish paired with Christian Louboutin loafers and a Gladys Tamez hat.

Swift recreated her "22" music video outfit again for night two, thought this time the shirt featured a lyric from the song: "Who's Taylor Swift anyway? Ew."

While performing in Arlington, Texas, Swift wore another version of her "22" shirt, this time with the text "We are never getting back together. Like ever."

Taylor Swift's Ashish romper for her Red set

As Swift moved on to other songs on her Red album, including "I Knew You Were Trouble," she took off her "22" inspired shirt and hat to reveal a sequin Ashish romper in red and black.

Taylor Swift's Ashish coat for her Red set

Swift threw on an Ashish coat over her romper as she performed her 10-minute version of "All Too Well" on stage with a coordinating red guitar.

Taylor Swift's Alberta Ferretti dress for her Folklore set

Swift was back in boho for songs from Folklore , in a flowing lilac Alberta Ferretti gown similar to the dress she wore during her 2021 Grammys performance . She even brought back the Folklore house for the performance.

During night two, Swift wore another Alberta Ferretti dress, this time in an off-white hue covered in crystal embroidery. The gown's flowing, cape-like sleeves were made for twirling.

For her March 24 show in Las Vegas, Swift debuted a third Alberta Ferretti dress as she performed her Folklore set. This dress combined various features from her previous two dresses, with a soft pink hue, cape-like sleeves and sequin details throughout.

During night one in Tampa, Swift wore yet another Alberta Ferretti dress for her Folklore set. This look was in bright green featuring a plunging neckline, mesh detailing and leaves embroideries.

Taylor Swift's Roberto Cavalli top and skirt for her 1989 set

Swift recreated one of her memorable 1989 World Tour outfits as she wore a matching Roberto Cavalli top and skirt. The pink set was perfectly paired with dazzling Christian Louboutin boots.

On night two, the star stepped out in a similar beaded matching set by the brand, but this time in a vivid green shade that continued onto her Christian Louboutin boots.

As she performed her 1989 songs, Swift opted for an orange Roberto Cavalli two-piece set with matching Christian Louboutin boots.

Taylor Swift's blue top and skirt for her 1989 set

As she performed her 1989 songs, Swift wore a new variation of her top and skirt set, this time in a striking blue color.

Taylor Swift's Jessica Jones dress for her acoustic set

As Swift performed a few acoustic songs during night one, including "Tim McGraw" from her debut album, she donned a Jessica Jones dress that featured cap sleeves and pleats. The designer has created many of Swift's most iconic looks, including numerous outfits from her Reputation stadium tour and her gold bodysuit at the 2019 American Music Awards when she accepted artist of the decade .

Taylor Swift's green dress for her acoustic set

Swift opted for a similar dress, this time in green, as she performed alongside Marcus Mumford for her acoustic set in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 25.

As Swift started wearing her orange Roberto Cavalli two-piece set with matching Christian Louboutin boots for her 1989 set, she began wearing a yellow dress on top of her outfit as she performed her acoustic set.

Taylor Swift's blue dress for her acoustic set

During the last leg of her U.S. tour, Swift donned a blue dress for the special announcement of 1989 (Taylor's Version) , which she debuted the album cover art for on stage. She followed up by playing the hit "New Romantics" from the album.

Taylor Swift's Oscar de la Renta t-shirt and jacket for her Midnights set

For the beginning of her Midnights set, Swift wore a similar look to the one seen in her "Lavender Haze" music video as she paired an Oscar de la Renta crystal t-shirt with an Oscar de la Renta faux fur coat.

Taylor Swift's Oscar de la Renta bodysuit for her Midnights set

As she performed "Midnight Rain," Swift did a quick costume change on stage as she took off her Oscar de la Renta t-shirt to reveal an Oscar de la Renta bodysuit. The outfit, which was in the perfect shade of (what else?) midnight blue, was bejeweled with various beading throughout giving it the appearance of a midnight sky. She paired the look with matching Christian Louboutin boots.

Taylor Swift's Zuhair Murad bodysuit for her Midnights set

For her March 24 show in Las Vegas, Swift switched up her Midnights outfit with a custom look by Zuhair Murad. The midnight blue bodysuit was covered in blue crystals and beaded fringes and even had a matching garter.

During her Los Angeles shows, Swift debuted a new bodysuit by Zuhair Murad for her Midnights set, which was fittingly in midnight blue bodysuit and "adorned with shimmering crystal embellishments, cascading intricate beaded fringes, and accompanied by a coordinating garter," per Zuhair Murad's Instagram .

The European leg of the Taylor Swift's 'Eras' tour kicked off in Paris last night and, as you might expect, the impressive three-hour set features a string of high-octane, custom-made looks.

The show, which previously travelled across America before heading off internationally, is split into different sections to represent each of Swift's albums, with bespoke outfits for every era.

"The tour represents a very important moment in Taylor's career, because she conceived and built it as a journey through the different moments, or as the title suggests, the musical eras defining her career," explained Alberta Ferretti, one of the designers behind one of Swift's many on-stage ensembles. "I'm honoured that she asked me to design dresses for this special occasion. I have always been fascinated by women who constantly question and challenge themselves and Taylor, with her work, has demonstrated to be a multifaceted artist, able to constantly transform and evolve."

Each look was carefully considered and designed to represent the feel of each album: a floaty lilac Alberta Ferretti gown and a ruffled orange Etro design for Folklore , for example, or a one-legged snake-motif Roberto Cavalli jumpsuit for Reputation. As the tour has progressed, Swift has debuted the occasional new piece at each destination, switching up the wardrobe slightly from venue to venue.

Here, we chart some highlights from her impressive tour wardrobe, from designer sketches to up-close details:

Vivienne Westwood

Taylor Swift kicked off her Eras Tour in Glendale, Ariz. last night, delivering a 44-song set that lasted more than three hours. Somehow, the only time Swift paused throughout the night was to make a quick outfit change, disappearing into thin air only to return in a brand-new (and often bejeweled) look.

Instead of journeying through her 10 albums chronologically, Swift opted to mix up her musical eras, starting with 2019’s “Lover” before transitioning into 2020’s “Evermore.” “Reputation” was up next, followed by a short stint in “Speak Now,” during which she only performed “Enchanted.” Songs from “Red,” “Folklore” and “1989” came after, and then Swift performed a short acoustic set consisting of “Mirrorball” and “Tim McGraw” from her first, self-titled album — a tradition she said she’ll change up for every show, without repeating a song. Swift ended the night with her most recent release, “Midnights,” bringing fans back to the present.

Each era was accompanied by jaw-dropping sets, stunning choreography and, of course, custom outfits to represent each specific moment in Swift’s life and career. See all of the looks from the first night of the Eras Tour below.

Taylor Swift is officially in her “Eras” era. On March 17 and 18, the singer kicked off her Eras tour in Glendale, Arizona, which temporarily renamed itself Swift City, ERAzona, in honor of the start of the tour.

It might only be the first leg of her Eras Tour , but Swift is already delivering when it comes to fashion. During her Glendale set, the singer sported looks from Oscar de la Renta, Alberta Ferretti and Versace, among many other notable designers. While her fans are attending the tour for the music, Swift is poised to give a mini-fashion show at each leg. WWD has rounded up some of the singer’s looks so far.

Swift unveiled another sequin Versace number during the Las Vegas leg of the Eras Tour. The silver sequin blazer dress was coordinated with silver sequin Louboutin boots that hit below the knee.

Swift donned another version of her custom bodysuit from Versace for her Arlington, Texas performance. This bodysuit came with a different color scheme, featuring sequins in bronze, gold and aqua.

Nicole Felicia Couture

Swift looked like a Disney princess come to life in this Nicole Felicia custom ballgown. The costume alluded to a previous gown Swift wore on the “Speak Now Tour” that was designed by Valentino. Swift also wore this designer in her “I Bet You Think About Me” music video.

Oscar de la Renta

For the finale act of weekend one of the Eras Tour, Swift wore two looks from Oscar de la Renta. The first was a black sequin bodysuit with fringe trim paired with sparkling black Louboutin boots, and the second was a midnight bodysuit, crystal T-shirt and lavender faux fur coat, both inspired by her “Midnights” album.

For her MetLife Stadium leg of the tour, Swift brought out Ice Spice to perform the remix of her song “Karma.” Swift wore a custom midnight blue sequin bodysuit from Oscar de la Renta.

Roberto Cavalli

Another standout look that set the internet abuzz was an asymmetrical sequin bodysuit with a beaded pattern of snakes on it referencing what some fans called her “snake era.”

In a classic Taylor Swift look, the singer wore a sparkling fringe dress with sparkling silver boots. She wore a similar gold fringe dress from Roberto Cavalli for the opening of her Speak Now Tour.

A stylie that was a testament to the craftsmanship of the Roberto Cavalli brand was a dégradé look created using thousands of hand-applied Swarovski crystals. The outfit was paired with knee-high sequin Christian Louboutin boots.

Alberta Ferretti

Swift wore two custom Alberta Ferretti gowns for her Glendale dates, both featuring Grecian and cottagecore inspiration. Both gowns were made from chiffon and featured airy fluid silhouettes.

Channeling her “Folklore” era, Alberta Ferretti created this dress for Taylor Swift channeling a wood nymph fairy. This green dress with its leaf design detail is a custom look from Alberta Ferretti’s spring 2023 collection worn for the Tampa leg of the Eras Tour.

Zuhair Murad

For another bohemian cottagecore look, Swift wore an orange ruffled, tie-front dress. The one-of-a-kind dress was created by Etro’s creative director Marco de Vincenzo.

Swift poked fun at herself in this custom T-shirt from Ashish Studio. Underneath the T-shirt, she wore a sequin bodysuit that looked like a regular pair of shorts.

On the East Rutherford leg of her tour, Ashish draped Swift in this custom red sequin duster with a trench-style silhouette. The duster contrasted with her sparkling black guitar.

Swift was the bell of her own ball for the night one of the Tampa Swift leg of her tour wearing a dark beige silk tulle ballgown featuring a silver crystal embroidered bodice with long sleeves, scoop neckline, and a dramatic, cascading skirt fully embroidered with gardenia-colored organza petals from Elie Saab’s fall 2022 couture collection.

Jessica Jones

Swift unveiled her red tiered pleated dress custom designed by Jessica Jones during the Tampa performance of the Eras Tour. She joined fellow musician Aaron Dessner on stage as they did a guitar duet.

Here’s Everything Taylor Swift Wore and Sang During the Eras Tour Opening Night

By Emily Tannenbaum

Taylor Swift Eras Tour

Scoring a ticket to the Eras Tour may have felt like the eighth circle of hell , but it sounds like Taylor Swift's opening night was pure heaven on earth.

On March 18, Swift kicked off the tour in Glendale, Arizona (a.k.a. Swift City ), performing for a crowd of 80,000 for the first time since her last tour in 2008. Celebrating all 10 of her albums—including the latest LP, Midnights —Swift's set included 44 songs, 16 backup dancers, and at least 13 outfit changes. According to People , the entire show lasted three hours and 13 minutes, which, of course, is the artist's favorite number.

The trick to the quick change is keeping everything else simple, as Keira Knightley would agree . Throughout the entire night, Swift wore her hair straight, her eyeliner winged, and her lips her signature shade of red. Here's everything Taylor Swift wore and sang on the first night of the Eras Tour. Warning: Set list spoilers past this point.

Taylor Swift Eras Tour

According to Elle , Swift began with Lover , taking audiences through “Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince,” “Cruel Summer,” “The Man,” “You Need to Calm Down,” “Lover,” and “The Archer.” To represent the album, People reports, Swift wore a sparkling Versace bodysuit before switching into a boardroom-approved sparkling suit jacket perfect for “The Man.” Personally, I'm drawn to her sparkling Christian Louboutin boots, which appeared multiple times throughout the night.

Taylor Swift Eras Tour

For Fearless , Swift rocked a golden Alberta Ferretti fringe dress to perform “Fearless,” “You Belong With Me,” and “Love Story.” Baby, just say yes.

Taylor Swift Eras Tour

Swift then opted for a sweet embroidered orange corset dress to perform multiple songs off Evermore for the first time live, including “’Tis The Damn Season,” “Willow,” “Marjorie,” “Champagne Problems,” and “Tolerate It.”

Perhaps the most interesting look Swift rocked, however, was the asymmetrical, half-leg bodysuit she changed into for her Reputation era. The pop star reportedly belted out “Look What You Made Me Do” in a black sequined ensemble covered in vibrant red snakes, which seem to reference her infamous feud with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West .

In stark contrast, Swift referenced her sequined Valentino look from the Speak Now tour with a romantic gown by Nicole + Felicia, per People . “Enchanted,” indeed.

Based on the photos, my favorite portion of the night came when Swift embraced her Red era. To start, she performed “22” in a new version of her sequined T-shirt from the 2013 music video , switching the text from “Not a lot going on at the moment” to “A lot going on at the moment.”

Taylor Swift Eras Tour

After passing her hat off to a fan , Swift removed the shirt to reveal a black and red sequined Ashish romper for “We Are Never Getting Back Together” and “I Knew You Were Trouble” before adding a matching long coat for the full 10-minute version of “All Too Well.”

Taylor Swift Eras Tour

Next came Folklore. Swift reportedly performed all seven of her chosen songs—“Invisible String,” “Betty,” “The Last Great American Dynasty,” “August,” “Illicit Affairs,” “My Tears Ricochet,” and “Cardigan”—in a dreamy lavender dress by Alberta Ferretti.

“A sort of a running theme in my music is that I love to explain to men how to apologize,” Swift told the crowd of “Betty.” “I just love it. It's kind of my thing. I love to tell them, step-by-step, here's how simple this is to fix things. If you just follow these easy steps that I'm laying out for you in a three-minute song…. Just love the idea of men apologizing.”

Taylor Swift Eras Tour

For 1989, Swift kept things light and fun, performing “Style, “Blank Space,” “Shake It Off,” “Wildest Dreams,” and “Bad Blood” in a pink crystal skirt and top set by Roberto Cavalli.

Swift followed up 1989 with an acoustic performance of “Mirrorball.” However, she told the audience she plans on switching things up for each show.

This content can also be viewed on the site it originates from.

Swift was dressed in a tiered magenta gown, which she kept on to sing “Tim McGraw” from her debut album, Taylor Swift .

Taylor Swift Eras Tour

Swift closed out her show with one of her most dramatic transitions, diving under the stage in her purple dress and emerging in a short sequined number and climbing up a ladder into the clouds, where she added a purple coat. Could there be a more perfect intro to Midnights ?

Taylor Swift Eras Tour

From Midnights , Swift performed “Lavender Haze, “Anti-Hero,” “Midnight Rain,” “Vigilante Shit,” “Bejeweled,” “Mastermind,” and “Karma.” But she wasn't all out of tricks yet.

In the middle of “Midnight Rain,” Swift whipped out yet another quick change, falling gracefully behind a wall of umbrellas before stepping out of the fray in a sparkling blue Oscar de la Renta bodysuit and matching Christian Louboutin boots.

Can we have a bit of commotion for this rainbow fringe jacket?

Yeah, this was well worth the wait.

Taylor Swift Kicks Off Her Eras Tour in Fully Bejeweled Fashion

By Christian Allaire

Taylor Swift Kicks Off Her Eras Tour in Fully Bejeweled Fashion

Taylor Swift kicked off her much-anticipated The Eras Tour on Friday night in Glendale, Arizona (renamed “Swift City” on Friday and Saturday for the occasion). You’ll recall that the singer broke records with the tour, selling 2.4 million tickets in a single day, so it’s safe to say that Swifties were eager to see what the singer had in store. Over the course of her three-hour-long set list—which included 44 songs—the star certainly didn’t disappoint with outfits. She sported custom designs from labels such as Versace, Roberto Cavalli, and Oscar de la Renta. Her performance attire paid homage to all of her past eras—from rocking “Bejeweled”-worthy bodysuits, to edgy snake looks that nodded to her  Reputation  days.

Diehard fans of Swift could easily catch how her new costumes nod to her past. Styled by Joseph Cassell Falconer, they served as modern updates to signature Swift looks. Her gold, fringed mini dress by Roberto Cavalli, for instance, referenced a similar Cavalli dress that Swift wore during her  Fearless  tour back in 2011. “We chose a beautiful champagne color, which is very Taylor,” Roberto Cavalli designer Fausto Puglisi tells  Vogue . The designer also created the embroidered Rhombus top and mini skirt for her  1989  set, as well as the embroidered snake catsuit Swift wears to perform songs from her album Reputation. “It’s more of a badass, rock and roll look,” says Puglisi.

Swift famously adopted the slithery imagery during her  Reputation era, when her haters flooded her social media with snake emojis. She reclaimed the term and symbol as a power move. “I wanted to send a message to you guys that if someone uses name-calling to bully you on social media, and even if a lot of people jump on board with it, that doesn’t have to beat you,” Swift said on stage during her opening night. (Fans have even been creating  their own snake looks to wear to the show.)

Each outfit was aligned with the message and vibe of the era Swift referenced, showcasing the different audio and visual aesthetics she’s embraced over her nearly two-decade-long career. Swift opened with her songs from the  Lover  album, and channeled the album’s visual pastel vibes with a glitzy Versace bodysuit. (All of the looks were also complete with shimmery Christian Louboutin boots.) While performing  Midnight’s “Lavender Haze,” she chose a faux fur lavender coat by Oscar de la Renta, complete with a beaded bodysuit. During her more ethereal  Folklore  section, Swift leaned on gauzy prairie gowns by Alberta Ferretti and Etro.

In Alberta Ferretti

The most dramatic, of course, was the full-on princess gowns by Nicole + Felicia that Swift wears to perform “Enchanted” in—an enchanted design indeed. With each look more dazzling the next, there was an intentional choice from Swift to use her stage fashion to speak to the music she performs. The same sentiment came from the designers themselves, most of whom did custom creations. “I always want to create couture for the music,” says Puglisi. “We took an artisanal approach to craftsmanship—when you create for a concert in a stadium with so many people, everything must be eye-catching.” In other words, best believe she’s still bejeweled.

Below, all of Swift’s best fashion moments from her Eras Tour so far.

Taylor Swift has some incredible Eras Tour outfits

Who designs Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour outfits?

Taylor has been bringing out the big guns for her global tour. Notable designers include Fausto Puglisi who heads up Italian fashion house Roberto Cavalli. Fausto describes himself  as a Sicilian maverick. He designed 12 of the looks from Taylor’s Eras shows, including the skintight snake catsuit from the Reputation era, and the gold-fringed minidress from her Fearless era.

And Taylor isn’t the only superstar he has dressed – J-Lo and Zendaya have also had the honour. He also designed the cape that Madonna wore on her Madame X album.

Another designer that has been tapped by Taylor for her stage costumes is Donatella Versace. The legendary designer was the mastermind behind Taylor’s bejewelled bodysuits that feature in the Lover section of her shows.

And rounding off the Lover looks are a pair of custom-made, jewel-encrusted, knee-high boots from none other than Christian Louboutin. With their signature red soles, Louboutins are the footwear of choice for the rich, famous and impeccably dressed.

Italian dressmaker Alberta Ferretti also has a starring role on the Eras Tour. Her ethereal and dreamy gowns complements the Folklore section of Taylor’s shows completely.

Taylor has also selected a number of lesser-known names to wear alongside fashion powerhouses like Oscar de la Renta and Ellie Saab. Indie designer Anish Gupta created the sequin slogan T-shirts emblazoned with her iconic lyrics “WE ARE NEVER EVER GETTING BACK TOGETHER, LIKE EVER”

And with that impressive list of designers, we couldn't resist the urge to round up all the Eras Tour stage ensembles she's worn so far, check out all the Taylor tour looks (as well as her newest additions)...

Taylor Swift's Eras Tour Outfits: See All the Looks She's Worn on Stage, Divided by Eras

Taylor Swift performs onstage for the opening night of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium on March 17...

Taylor Swift's long-awaited Eras Tour has finally started and the singer is delivering on all fronts — from performance to vocals and, of course, fashion.

On opening weekend, Taylor Swift gave us plenty of whimsical, elegant, and nostalgic looks as we traveled with her through the eras of her career. She wore a handful of familiar styles, with slight tweaks to fit her current style, and gave us plenty of sparkle and shine. Throughout 15+ more stop stops (and counting), Taylor has given us even more memorable fashion moments.

If you are scouring the internet to find out where each look is from, fret not. Here's a look at all the looks Taylor Swift has from during her Eras Tour — from opening night in Glendale, Arizona, to some of her most recent shows in New Jersey and Chicago — and what you can expect to see her wear if you plan on attending one of the upcoming shows.

1. Lover era

Taylor Swift performs onstage for the opening night of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium on March 17...

The first era is  Lover , a time that signified growth, comfort, and basking in the glow of the daylight. Taylor starts the night off in a  custom Versace bodysuit , bright and bold. She pairs it with an equally shiny pair of  custom, studded Louboutin boots . Night one's bodysuit was a playful, iridescent purple color, and she opted for a slightly more elegant, gold-colored one for the second night of the Eras tour kickoff weekend.

The shoes are sparkly, but they aren't really the star of the show until she puts on a blazer, also studded, and also Versace, and performs "The Man." The shoes instantly grabbed the spotlight as she kicked her heels up and flashed the red bottoms. This is the first of several pairs of custom Louboutins that Taylor wears throughout the night – they're the  sole footwear provider for the tour , just like during the  Reputation  tour.

At her show at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, the star debuted a new Versace bodysuit that sparkled even brighter than the original one she wore. There are brighter crystals, shining in purple, and extra details, like tassels down her thigh. She paired the new bodysuit with a pair of ombré bedazzled Versace heels, also in purple. Adorning her neck was the Versace Crystal Butterflies Chain Necklace to complete the look.

In a seamless transition to the era that sealed the deal for her as a stage performer and style icon, the  Fearless  era portion of the night brought back shimmery dresses made to move around. The boots stay on, but she trades out the sparkly bodysuit to dance in a storm in her best dress.

One of the big themes in her clothes throughout the night is fringe, which becomes an accessory to the singer as she moves around the stage and dances around singing her best hits. This  custom Roberto Cavalli dress  allows her to do just that, move around freely and shine bright.

On the second night of the tour, Taylor opted for fringe down the legs in  another Roberto Cavalli custom dress  embellished with Swarovski crystals. Again, the movements looked just as mesmerizing in this dress as the first night.

As the tour has continued, Taylor has debuted another equally stunning dress to embody the  Fearless era. The dress is similar to her custom Roberto Cavalli dress with fringe down her leg, but in silver.

3. Acoustic interlude

Taylor Swift performs onstage for the opening night of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium on March 17...

During the opening night, Taylor referenced her debut era playing her first-ever hit song, "Tim McGraw." This era falls into an acoustic set, where Taylor does one of her favorite things: She plays two surprise songs each night to give every fan a unique experience during the show they choose to attend.  The acoustic, slowed-down portion of the show gives the fans a breather, a time to connect with their favorite singer as she’s able to take a seat at the piano and chat with the crowd before she gives a surprise performance.

During this segment, she has so far worn a  Jessica Jones  dress with ruffles that hug her frame as she sits by the piano. The first night she wore a magenta-colored version of the dress. On night two, it was green. We first wondered if we'd see more colors as the tour continued and TSwift delivered. She’s also worn the stunning dress in a yellow shade as well.

4. evermore era

Taylor Swift performs onstage for the opening night of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium on March 17...

Next up is  evermore  era, for which Taylor wears a simple but bright mustard dress from  Etro , also custom. To perform the songs from this quaint but grand era, the stage is set with trees along a foggy backdrop. The tone of the show shifts here. This is where Taylor gets to sit at the piano and commandeer the crowd with her lyrics. There is no need for fringe and sparkles as the crowd sings along at the top of their lungs to "champagne problems" to accompany her.

5. Reputation era

Taylor Swift performs onstage for the opening night of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium on March 17...

During the  Reputation  tour, Taylor made a bold choice to abandon the pants and embrace the bodysuit. She brings that energy back to represent this era with one of the fiercest ones we've ever seen her in; an asymmetrical, show-stopping  black and red colored custom Roberto Cavalli one . As we've realized by now, nothing on this tour will be dull on the sparkle, and this number features sequins studded along the leg in that infamous snake pattern familiar to this era.

6. Speak Now era

Taylor Swift performs onstage for the opening night of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium on March 17...

To sing one singular song from the  Speak Now  era, the fan-favorite "Enchanted," Taylor emerges ready to impress. You can't help but be enchanted by the soft glow reflecting off the sparkles of the  Nicole + Felicia Couture bespoke gown  she's wearing. This is reminiscent of the Valentino gown she wore when she sang this song on the  Speak Now  tour but grander, and of course, with more bling.

On night two of the tour in Glendale, Arizona, Taylor switched up this look and gave the audience an equally shiny but slightly different look, opting for a  Zuhair Murad Couture custom gown  with a starburst design embellishment.

Taylor Swift performs onstage during Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium on March 18 2023 in Swift City...

This portion of the show is where she’s been able to switch it up the most. As the tour progressed, the star has given us plenty of glorious gowns to “ooh” and “aah” at. Another Zuhair Murad Couture custom gown was added to the  Speak Now era collection, with thousands of sequins sewn on in a starburst design.

Some nights, she graces the stage in an Elie Saab Fall 2020 Couture gown that is full of tulle and drama. Other nights, she opts for something a bit more simple, but elegant: an Ellie Saab Couture gown from Fall/Winter 2022, straight from the runway that has fabric flowers sewn down the bottom half of the dress. This dress’s train drags behind her as she walks down the catwalk of the massive stage softly and slowly, matching the tone of the song.

The next era is introduced in a spirited manner as Taylor revisits a popularly recreated look: the "Not A Lot Going On At The Moment" T-Shirt from the "22" music video. This look is paired with a Gladys Tamez hat that she gives to a lucky audience member during the performance.

On the second night of the tour, she opted to poke a bit of fun at herself with a T-shirt that read "Who's Taylor Swift Anyway? Ew" after lyrics from the song "22" instead.

As the North American tour reached its halfway point, she introduced another shirt that says, “We Are Never Getting Back Together, Like Ever.” The sequined shirts are all  custom by Ashish , who also made the original shirt in the “22” music video. Once the t-shirt is removed, a beautiful red-to-black ombré bodysuit is revealed, fittingly so for the  Red  era.

When it's time to sing her magnum opus, "All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor's Version)," a sparkly red overcoat is added atop the already striking bodysuit. She puts her best foot forward for a song that has a story as remarkable as her career, with a red guitar to match.

She also used this time, for the first half of the tour, to bring out her collaborator and tour opener  Phoebe Bridgers to sing their acoustic and emotional song “Nothing New.” On Bridgers’s last night on the Eras tour, Swift showed off a chain around her neck that held a small pendant. It was later revealed that the pendant was the  Give You The Moon Charm from Phoebe Bridgers’ Catbird collection. Her footwear for this portion of the show is a seemingly comfortable pair of  loafers from Louboutin .

8. folklore era

Taylor Swift performs onstage for the opening night of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium on March 17...

For the  folklore  portion, we see the singer in a beautiful, muted  purple Alberta Ferretti dress  full of ruffles and flares. It's "fairy in the woods meets cozy baking in a cottage," which are exactly the right vibes of this imaginative and rustic era.

During her performance of "august," Taylor uses body movements across the stage to express her frustration, and the lavender-toned dress added the perfect amount of drama and flair to the performance. As she moved, the  chiffon fabric  moved along with her seamlessly. On night two, she wore a similarly graceful  Alberta Ferretti dress , but in white. It had curtain drapes with delicate hanging threads, adding a  beautiful texture  to its movement.

Taylor loves to swiftly move around the stage in various Alberta Ferretti dresses during the most emotional portions of the  folklore  era. She’s shown us two more versions of custom dresses that were created for this portion of the show.

9. 1989 era

Taylor Swift performs onstage for the opening night of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium on March 17...

As the night progresses, we see more and more fringe. How else would we see the iconic "Shake It Off" movements except in another  Roberto Cavalli custom two-piece set  covered in chunky fringe with sequins in various shapes and sizes? This look is similar to what the singer wore on her  1989  tour.

On the first night of the tour, the co-ord set was  magenta . On the second night of the tour, she swapped it for the same set, except in bright green.

As the tour has continued, the pop queen has added an additional color to the 1989 co-ord repertoire. We’ve now seen the same Roberto Cavalli set in orange as well. How many colors will we see in total throughout the tour?

10. Midnights era

Taylor Swift performs onstage for the opening night of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium on March 17...

As we reach the present-day era,  Midnights , we get to the peak of extravagance and pomp. It's time to celebrate the eras past that have allowed Taylor to become the artist and performer she is today. The dress she chose to perform the culmination of her career is a custom  Oscar De La Renta  that's looser fitting but still heavy and studded in iridescent crystals. It's paired with a new set of custom Louboutins studded in black crystals. To add more drama, she has a fur coat on, also a custom piece from Oscar De La Renta. Everything about this look screams "Bejeweled," a song placed near the end of the setlist but a vibe that's exuded for the entirety of the night.

As this era progresses, she sheds layers. The dress is shed to reveal an  Oscar De La Renta custom bodysuit , an article of clothing she seems to be very comfortable performing in. This time, there's black detailing. It's soft but striking and just sexy enough to perform the Cell Block Tango-esque choreography to "Vigilante Sh*t" with chairs and all. She even added a garter to her thigh to give a bit of a sexy edge to complete the look.

Taylor Swift performs onstage for the opening night of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium on March 17...

To finish off the show, another layer is added with even more fringe and even more sparkle, if that's even possible. This multi-colored statement piece is fabulous, and it's a perfect way to physically represent just what the last three hours and 15 minutes were all about: Taylor celebrating and shining with the 70,000 other people in the room with her.

Behind-the-scenes videos and sketches show how some of Taylor Swift's sparkliest Eras Tour looks were created

  • Taylor Swift's Eras Tour started in Glendale, Arizona, on Friday.
  • Swift performed in a slew of custom, designer looks styled by Joseph Cassell Falconer.
  • The looks ranged from sparkly bodysuits to ball gowns.

Roberto Cavalli's creative director, Fausto Puglisi, designed a sparkly pink set for Swift.

TikToks shared by Variety  and  Rolling Stone showed that Swift wore the custom, crystal-adorned look when she performed songs from her album "1989," including "Style" and "Blank Space," during the first two shows of her tour, which took place in Glendale, Arizona.

A short behind-the-scenes video about the set was shared on the Roberto Cavalli Instagram account on Monday. The video included clips of the ensemble being made as well as the original sketch for the look.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Roberto Cavalli (@roberto_cavalli)

The video noted that both the crystals and fringe adorning the hot-pink set were crafted and applied by hand.

Puglisi also nodded to Swift's 2015 tour for "1989," as she often wore sparkles and coordinating sets. She paired the outfit with coordinating, custom Christian Louboutin boots.

Puglisi also designed the gold dress Swift wore when singing songs from "Fearless" on the first night of The Eras Tour.

taylor swift eras tour wardrobe cost

The custom Roberto Cavalli minidress was completely covered in tiers of sparkly, gold fringe that shook around Swift as she performed, accenting her custom Christian Louboutin boots.

She wore the dress when performing "Fearless," "Love Story," and "You Belong With Me" on the opening night of the tour. The gold color scheme nodded to "Fearless," as both the original album and " Fearless (Taylor's Version) " had a gold color scheme.

The brand shared the original sketch of the dress on its Instagram .

Swift wore a different gold Roberto Cavalli dress for her performances of "Fearless" songs on her second night in Glendale, Arizona.

Like the first night's dress, Puglisi chose a gold color scheme for Swift's "Fearless" look, which Swift paired with custom Christian Louboutin boots.

The second minidress was covered in Swarovski crystals that were hand-applied, as Roberto Cavalli shared in an Instagram post , which included a sketch of the dress.

The dress had an ombré effect, flowing from gold to silver in strips of fabric that flowed out at her thigh.

Swift also wore a custom Roberto Cavalli look to perform songs from "Reputation."

Puglisi designed an asymmetrical catsuit for the "Reputation" portion of Swift's performance, which included songs like "Delicate" and "Look What You Made Me Do."

The sparkly ensemble had one sleeve and one pant leg, leaving her other arm bare and her leg in fishnets.

As Roberto Cavalli detailed on Instagram, sparkly snakes made with diamond, black, and ruby-red embellishments adorned the look.

Snakes were integral to Swift's imagery for the "Reputation" album, tying the look to the 2017 album.

Swift wore a custom Nicole + Felicia ball gown to perform "Enchanted" on opening night.

taylor swift eras tour wardrobe cost

Swift leaned into the fairy-tale vibe of her song "Enchanted" from "Speak Now" for opening night, wearing a custom bespoke ball gown from Nicole + Felicia.

The gown had a fitted bodice and full skirt made of soft-pink fabric, and it was adorned with more than 200,000 sequins and crystals, as the brand shared on its Instagram .

Nicole + Felicia shared an Instagram video of the making of the dress, which included the original sketch of the gown and shots of it being hand-beaded.

A representative for the brand also told Insider via email that the beading was made of slightly different colors, including silver, gold, champagne, and bronze, to give it more dimension.

For night two, Swift performed "Enchanted" in a pink Zuhair Murad ball gown.

Swift's second ball gown was made of tulle and also adorned with sequins, as Zuhair Murad shared on Instagram .

The crystals created a starburst shape in the center of the bodice, which crisscrossed in the back.

According to Zuhair Murad's post , the dress took "over 350 hours of atelier handwork" to make.

Swift's custom Alberta Ferretti look for "Folklore" accentuated the album's tone.

When performing songs from her moody and imaginative album " Folklore " on opening night, Swift changed into a chiffon dress from Alberta Ferretti.

The brand posted a photo of its sketch of the dress on Instagram, sharing that the mauve gown was embroidered with crystals .

The gown also had a low neckline and flutter sleeves.

She wore another custom Alberta Ferretti dress to perform "Folklore" songs on the second night of the tour.

Like the mauve dress, the cream Alberta Ferretti gown had flowing sleeves and a tiered skirt, as the brand shared alongside a sketch of the gown on Instagram .

The dress also included "delicate crystal and micro-beading" in addition to the layers of fabric, according to Alberta Ferretti's Instagram .

Swift ended the show in a "midnight" bodysuit from Oscar de la Renta.

Swift closed her concert with songs from her 2022 album " Midnights ," including "Bejeweled" and "Karma."

Oscar de la Renta designed her custom "midnight" bodysuit, as the brand shared on Instagram . Another pair of custom Christian Louboutin boots completed the outfit.

Layers of sparkles and fringe covered the deep-blue bodysuit and flowed onto Swift's legs. According to Oscar de la Renta, the outfit was hand-adorned with over 5,300 beads and crystals.

Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’: See All the Costumes

The artist’s 44-song, career-spanning set includes more than a dozen outfit changes that reflect the styles of her albums

Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” is a three-hour musical marathon that traces her evolution as an artist. It’s also a reflection of how her style has transformed over the years.

On the first two nights of the tour, which kicked off last week in Glendale, Ariz., Ms. Swift recreated iconic looks from a decade-plus of live performances, such as her shimmery fringe dress from her “Speak Now” tour and her endless array of “Reputation”-era black bodysuits. Read on for a rundown of her tour costumes.

Ms. Swift’s “Eras Tour” setlist begins with songs from “Lover,” her bubbly seventh album. On opening night, she channeled the album’s pink-and-blue motif in a Versace bodysuit and sparkling Christian Louboutin boots.

John Medina/Getty Images

In the middle of the show’s “Lover” portion, Ms. Swift changed into a sparkling silver Versace suit with matching Louboutin boots to perform “The Man,” a cheeky song about gender bias.

To introduce her “Fearless” segment, Ms. Swift pulled out a fringed Roberto Cavalli dress that she wore for her signature twirl while performing the album’s title track.

For her “Fearless” set on night two of the tour, Ms. Swift donned a different fringed Roberto Cavalli number, this time with gold and silver sequins.

Kevin Mazur/Getty Images for TAS Rights Management

In the third act of Ms. Swift’s set, which draws from her 2020 indie-folk album “Evermore,” the singer donned a more subdued, corseted orange dress by Etro.

Ms. Swift dialed the temperature back up for her “Reputation” medley in a Roberto Cavalli bodysuit adorned with red-sequin serpents—a reference to imagery from her 2017 album.

While performing “Enchanted”—from her third album, “Speak Now”—Ms. Swift wore crystal-studded Zuhair Murad ball gowns to complement the song’s dreamy, romantic mood.

John Shearer/Getty Images for TAS Rights Management

To play from her fourth album, “Red,” Ms. Swift wore a coat and romper from Ashish covered in sequins that created a crimson-ombré effect. She then pulled out a matching guitar to perform the fan-favorite “All Too Well (10 Minute Version).”

For her second-night performance of “22” from “Red,” Ms. Swift donned a different Ashish outfit that called back to the song’s music video, in which she wore a T-shirt that said “Not a Lot Going on at the Moment.”

Ms. Swift then shifted into her “Folklore” era with a flowing, boho Alberta Ferretti gown. That album marked the singer’s foray into indie-folk music, with a softer sound and earnest lyrics.

For her second-night “Folklore” medley, Ms. Swift went with another voluminous Alberta Ferretti dress, this one white and with sleeves that evoked wings.

To perform songs from her fifth album, the pop crossover “1989,” Ms. Swift wore a violet Roberto Cavalli two-piece reminiscent of the matching sets she wore while promoting it on tour in 2015.

For her second night performing the “1989” set, Ms. Swift chose another Roberto Cavalli two-piece, this time lime green, with matching Louboutin booties.

To close out the “Eras Tour,” Ms. Swift played from “Midnights,” her 10th and most recent album, wearing an Oscar de la Renta bodysuit dripping with blue crystals and matching Louboutin boots.

Welcome to Swift City! Taylor Knight kicked off her highly anticipated Eras Tour on Friday night (March 17) at the State Farm Arena in Glendale, Ariz.

Swift played to a sold-out crowd, pulling out all the stops while running through a whopping 44 songs with 16 costume changes , and she returned for night 2 with a fleet of new costumes.

Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour: See All the Looks From Night One

For the fashionable Swifties who want to re-create Swift’s stage looks for less, we’ve got you covered.

Below, find a roundup of outfits inspired by The Eras Tour .

Mauve Maxi Dress

The tour is just getting started, and Swift has already worn a number of colorful maxi dresses onstage. The 33-year-old singer looked positively etherial in a mauve Alberta Ferretti dress during her Folklore set. The custom, chiffon, crystal-embellished gown features flutter sleeves with a plunging neckline and lace insert.

Shop the Look:

Channel Swift’s boho style in this textured tiered midi dress from ASOS . The dress has a plunging neckline with lace insert, a tiered skirt and an open back. The dress is available in sizes O-14.

In case the dress pictured above is out of stock, another option is this boho square neck long sleeve maxi ($44.99 at Amazon) .

Free People has a selection of boho maxi dress as well like the Beach Bliss Maxi ($118) and Jewel Maxi ($128) . And if you want to show a little more skin, try this purple floral wrap dress $78 from Lulu’s .

Oversized Sparkly Blazer

Swift performed “The Man” in an oversized sparkly Versace blazer and sequin body suit with custom Louboutin boots .

Oversized blazers are trendy right now and therefore not very hard to find, however a silver, sequin or bedazzled blazer might be harder to get your hands on.

We found a couple of cool (and affordable) alternatives to Swift’s blazer, such as this oversized faux leather blazer from ASOS ($58) . For more sparkle, check out this Extro & Vert oversized sequin blazer ($108) .

Swift’s boots were also custom made, so while you won’t find them in stores, you can find a variety of similar styles such as the rhinestone boots pictured below.

These Blue by Betsey Johnson boots feature a 3.5-inch heel and full zipper closure. If you prefer cowboy boots to pointed toe boots, try the Steve Madden Tyrus Boots ($81.57) . Click here for more silver boot options.

Lavender Haze

Speaking of coats, Swift also rocked a custom lavender number by Oscar De La Renta and purple Louboutin boots.

Shaggy coats are also trendy right now, which means they’re easy to find online, although lavender might be a little tricky. We found a few cool coats like the purple shaggy coat pictured below.

This faux fur shaggy coat is available in sizes S-XXL and you can buy it in over a dozen different colors including purple, red, blue, khaki, black and wine. Another option is this oversized teddy fur from ASOS ($107) . Find more purple coats here .

Roberto Cavalli created a capsule collection for The Eras Tour, which includes a gold fringe dress and asymmetrical sequin bodysuit .

For her opening night performance of “1989,” Swift dazzled in a Cavalli two-piece “diamond-shaped skirt and a matching top drenched in Swarovski crystals in tones of fuchsia.”

“The design, the finishing, the hand application of each crystal and fringe has been hand crafted to match the extraordinary talent that is Taylor Swift,” the fashion brand shared on Instagram on Monday (March 20).

Take a page from Swift’s fashion book in this one shoulder sequin crop top and matching skirt from Nasty Gal.

The top and skirt are sold separately, so you can mix and match or swap out the wrap skirt for this pink sequin mini ($42) or the top for this tassel sequin crop top ($60) . You can also mix and match with this fringe tassel skirt, which is on sale for $15.77 at Amazon and a metal mesh top ($24.99) or this Hurley sequined mini skirt ($90) with a satin top from Revolve ($96) .

Swift wore a similar outfit in green for night 2 of the tour. Find alternatives to her custom look here .

What to Wear to a Taylor Swift Concert

Looking for something to wear to The Eras Tour ? Any of the outfits on our list will work fine, but if you’re craving variety, outside of the merch available on Swift’s official website, we rounded up some must-haves that fans were spotted wearing during the first two nights of the tour.

Heart-Shaped Sunglasses — Don’t forget your shades! If you’re not sure which style to rock, heart-shaped shades are an easy choice. You can find a bunch of different styles and colors at Amazon .

Comfortable Shoes — Comfortable shoes are important for any concert, especially if you plan to see your favorite artists in a large venue like Swift’s stadium tour. The best shoe options largely depend on your style preferences, but a few shoes that tend to work well for concerts include platform boots and heels in addition to comfortable sneakers such as Converse , Vans , Adidas and cowboy boots. Fans have also been wearing knee-high boots and ankle boots to the tour.

Skirts, Skirts and More Skirts — If you search social media for what to wear to a Taylor Swift concert, you’ll find that Swifties love skirts ! Short skirts, long skirts , flared skirts , mini skirts , maxi skirts, denim skirts , satin skirts, pleated skirts, bodycon skirts — you name it. And of course, shorts and jeans are safe choice.

Costumes — Dressing up for concerts can also mean wearing a costume. One devoted Swfitie wore a cape showcasing Swift’s Billboard Hot 100 chart achievements . If you’re thinking of wearing a costume, you should choose something clever but also comfortable.

Venue-Approved bags — Concert venues usually list the kinds of bags that are allowed inside. If you’re not sure what to bring, choose something safe like a clear purse , mini backpack or crossbody bags such as the Adidas Amplifier Crossbody Bag ($32) , Lululemon’s Everywhere Belt Bag ($38) , Athleta’s Excursion Waist Bag ($88) or the North Face Berkeley Field Bag ($45) .

Every Look From Taylor Swift’s ‘The Eras’ Tour Wardrobe So Far Including Atelier Versace & Roberto Cavalli

taylor swift eras tour wardrobe cost

Taylor Swift’s last tour was five years ago, and during that time the singer has released four albums, including the Grammy Award-winning album, ‘Folklore.’

Following the enforced cancellation due to the pandemic, Taylor was back with a bang taking to the stage for her ’Eras’ tour (“a journey through all of her musical eras”) which was an impressive three-hour, fifteen-minute extravaganza, including 44 songs that span across her illustrious career.

I know you’ve seen this concert published all over social media this weekend, so here is your breakdown of all the looks which were curated by her long-time stylist Joseph Cassell Falconer and his team.

I’m going to start with my personal favourite which was this custom Atelier Versace  fully crystal embroidered bodysuit with bustier boning structure and degradé of paillettes, in tones of pink and blue with iridescent elements.

This showgirl look provided maximum impact for her opener which she styled with Christian Louboutin boots.

taylor swift eras tour wardrobe cost

Those boots were perfectly coordinated with her Atelier Versace  double-breasted blazer embellished in iridescent crystals, and accented by silver Medusa buttons which eventually revealed the bodysuit.

taylor swift eras tour wardrobe cost

You may not be surprised to learn that the collaboration with Fausto Puglisi, Roberto Cavalli’s Creative Director, and Taylor Swift began at the Grammy Awards, when Taylor wore custom Roberto Cavalli on the red carpet .

The designer created five looks in total for this weekend, starting with this custom Roberto Cavalli Couture zig zag tiered mini dress embroidered mini dress which appears to have been designed for the country music portion of the show.

taylor swift eras tour wardrobe cost

Another favourite of mine was this Roberto Cavalli Couture embroidered snake asymmetrical black catsuit which I’m confident she wore while performing her hit song, ‘Look What You Made Me Do.’

The three-dimensional embroidered snake motif cascading from top to bottom was enriched by ruby red baguettes, black bezels and diamond crystal accents.

Matching combat boots featured the same detail.

taylor swift eras tour wardrobe cost

I feel that this custom  Roberto Cavalli Couture fuchsia bustier top and mini skirt was part of the pop era.

It has the punchy, fun, effervescing feel thanks to the Swarovski crystals and fringe detailing which I can picture her dancing across the stage while singing “shake it off, shake it off.”

taylor swift eras tour wardrobe cost

A peridot green version of the same Roberto Cavalli Couture look was worn during the show on Saturday with matching green ankle boots.

taylor swift eras tour wardrobe cost

There were more bodysuits, fringed details and Louboutins to be had with this custom Oscar de la Renta midnight blue piece.

It has been a while since we last had a Taylor Swift princess moment, so this custom Nicole + Felicia Couture embellished ball gown gave me plenty of nostalgic vibes.

taylor swift eras tour wardrobe cost

There will be no prizes for guessing that this custom Etro embroidered chiffon dress (which at some point was worn with a dark green velvet cape) was part of the folkloric era.

Along with this custom  Alberta Ferretti mauve gown.

taylor swift eras tour wardrobe cost

And this custom  Alberta Ferretti tiered cream gown with voluminous sleeves and delicate crystal and micro-beading embroidered gown which is part of the set of looks worn for the Saturday night show.

In keeping with Alberta Ferretti’s aesthetic, chiffon becomes the protagonist of the creations, showing airy and fluid silhouettes: they enhance Taylor’s stage presence, while letting her free to move.

The last two are giving me Florence Welch vibes.

“The Eras Tour represents a very important moment in Taylor’s career, because she conceived and built it as a journey through the different moments, or as the title suggests, the musical eras defining her career. I’m honored that she asked me to design dresses for this special occasion. I have always been fascinated by women who constantly question and challenge themselves and Taylor, with her work, has demonstrated to be a multifaceted artist, able to constantly transform and evolve,” explains Alberta Ferretti, who has already dressed the American artist in important moments, such as the 2014 Grammy Awards. “Thinking about these stage dresses for her also pushed me to reflect on my career milestones and I think what we have created reflects this journey where the key elements of my style stand out: lightness, femininity, romance, attention to detail and a delicate, gentle seduction,” said Alberta Ferretti.

Saturday’s Atelier Versace bodysuit was the same as the opening night look, yet this one dazzled in tones of gold and teal.

taylor swift eras tour wardrobe cost

This custom  Roberto Cavalli Couture  light gold dress constructed with strips of embroidery encrusted with degraded crystals from dark gold to diamond that separate to create fringes continued the sparkling theme.

I do wish they switched the boots for this look.

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Wardrobe Is A Walk Down Memory Lane

On the Eras Tour, Taylor Swift pays homage not just to the music, but to the clothes of her albums.

Taylor Swift’s albums have always represented more than her musical interests: It’s one of the reasons for the cult-like devotion behind them. Her albums, or eras, as we’re now calling them — thanks to the historically popular, legislatively significant Eras Tour — is an amalgamation of cultural trends, the current zeitgeist around love, and Swift’s own life, the events of which often are up for public consumption. Swift’s clothing, too, is as essential to the collective memory of her album cycles as her music.

Swift’s Eras Tour is a fitting concept for the artist because it’s not just a collective spin through the jukebox of her greatest hits; it’s a tribute to her chameleon-like qualities. Swift’s songwriting is timeless — but the feeling and aesthetic around the album only lasts an album cycle.

Swift’s style has always mimicked her albums — it’s one of the ways she is one of the most notoriously difficult celebrities from which to separate the art from the artist. For every one of Swift’s eras, she has a new look that’s supposed to encompass her new personality, which lasts the length of an album cycle. These aesthetics are so widely known that each of Swift’s albums inspires its own Pantone color palette , recognizable instantly.

For example, during the Fearless album cycle, Swift rocked long, blonde curls, cowboy boots, floor-length lace eyelet dresses. For Reputation (her best album, controversially) she wore bold black sequin bodysuits; meanwhile, you can’t talk about folklore without talking about how it ushered in her cottage-core era .

This plays out in the fan experience as well: When I saw Swift perform the Rose Garden (RIP) in Portland, Oregon in 2011, my friend and I wore cowboy boots and Free People dresses we’d found on the sale rack at Nordstrom Rack to commemorate Speak Now . Two years later, for the Red tour, we took an identical photo, only this time we wore red lipstick and sequin dresses.

But in the Eras Tour , Swift, with the help of her stylist Joseph Cassell , is weaving the flexibility and porousness of her style into the stage act itself —but with an updated twist. Her outfits are not a costume-like retrospective, so much as an homage to everyone Swift has been, and who we all were when we first consumed those albums. Ahead, a look at Swift’s Eras Tour outfits.

Swift had referential fun with the outfit for the Reputation era, tapping Roberto Cavalli to design a look for her boldest and more infamous album: an asymmetrical bodysuit embroidered with sequin snakes. The Eras Tour Stage: See the Intricate World-Building of Every Set in Taylor Swift’s Most Ambitious Shows Ever

By Katherine McLaughlin

Taylor Swift performs onstage during night three of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour

Since kicking off in March of 2023, the Eras Tour stage has provided an immersive backdrop to Taylor Swift’s most ambitious shows to date. Indeed, there was a joke circling the internet following the opening weekend of the now nonpareil: look at any random collection of photos taken throughout the night—some even snapped mere minutes apart—and you’d never know they all came from the same show. What starts in a hazy pink, cotton candy dreamscape ends in a sultry, sparkling twilight—with plenty of undulating stops in the middle, from ethereal fairytale woods to the energetic skyscrapers of the concrete jungle.

“[The stage] changes for almost every song, which is crazy to think about considering most artists have the same stage for their entire set list,” Maya Minocha, a fan who has attended multiple shows, tells  AD. Broken down by “era,” the concert takes fans on a three-plus-hour journey through nearly every album in the singer’s 18-year career. “The sets absolutely made this possible,” Ginnie Low, a fan who attended the tour and runs the TikTok account The Thrifty Swiftie , says. “I didn’t move from my tiny little seat area the whole concert, but was transported to 10 different worlds.” Ariel Miranda , another concert-goer agrees. “It was such an immersive experience,” she says.

Now, over a year into the global phenomenon, the singer is still keeping fans on their toes with an ever changing assortment of costumes, track lists, and even a brand new set to commemorate her latest release, The Tortured Poets Department . With a distinct focus on world building,  AD takes a look at the incredible set design that helps bring her music to life throughout the triumphant concert.

The Lover Era

Swift opens the show with tracks off of her seventh studio album,  Lover. “It was as if she picked up right from where she left off,” Miranda says, referring to Swift’s COVID-19-induced cancellation of her sixth headline tour, Lover Fest, in 2020. Having characterized the album with yellow, pink, and blue pastels, Swift—outfitted in a shimmering leotard—belts songs like “Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince” and “Cruel Summer” while dancers wielding billowing tapestries perform beneath a rosy glow. Screens show two pink triumphal arcs, which were historically built to honor a person or commemorate an important event—a fitting gesture to begin the one-of-a-kind spectacle.

A familiar dollhouse-like home appears behind Swift later in the set, which many fans recognize from her “Lover” music video. “The screen begins flashing images that eventually piece together to become the Lover House, which was a huge Easter egg,” Miranda adds. In the video, Swift and costar Christian Owens move through various colored rooms  within a house in a snow globe. When the music video first dropped, fans theorized that each room represented one of her existing albums, and with the release of three new albums, many believe the home is now complete .

During The Man” Swift used scaffolding and office props to emulate a corporate environment.

Other notable scenes from the Lover section of the show include a full-scale office cosplay moment during “The Man,” where Swift sings about the sexism she’s faced throughout her career. While it’s been a part of the show since 2023, it certainly fits into the “ corporate fetish ” trend of late, in which offices have become unlikely muses.

Next up in the night, Swift performs three songs from her second album,  Fearless, for which she won album of the year in 2010 at the Grammys (the youngest artist to ever win the accolade). Though she was certainly popular in country circles following her self-titled debut album, it was this second record that established her mainstream success. And not only does the singer bring back some classic circa 2009  dance moves , she also showcases a dazzling gold motif that she employed when promoting the album over a decade ago.

Outfitted in soft curls and sequins, Swift was often portrayed as the girl next door and an American sweetheart during this period. Though she did, at times, lean into this persona, fans remember her determination to be bold, strong, and, yes, fearless. The sparkles and shine acted as visual representation of this.

For fans, perhaps the most exciting Easter egg was a nod to the bedazzled guitar that she toured with during her  Fearless era. In an Instagram story, Swift revealed that it was her parents who artfully stuck the shimmering crystals onto her acoustic instrument just days before the Eras Tour started.

The Red Era

During the European leg, Swift switched up the order of her sets, and moved the Red era to the third spot. The original tour for the album, which took place between 2013 and 2014, was her biggest at the time. It included a seven-piece band, fifteen dancers, multiple costume changes, as well as jumbotrons and multilevel stages. Though the Eras Tour stage certainly honors some of these larger-than-life moments from the first  Red tour, it also shows considerable restraint.

During one particularly emotional moment, Swift sings the 10-minute version of her critically acclaimed “All Too Well” with just her acoustic guitar. However, this doesn’t mean it wasn’t exciting. “Even some of her slower songs like “All Too Well,” where it was just her and a guitar, had insane stage effects that you wouldn’t expect, like snow confetti falling across the stadium and the stage rising when she starts singing a high note,” Minocha tells  AD.

The Speak Now Era

Swift sings “Enchanted” during the Speak Now set.

Though Swift only performs one song from her third album,  Speak Now —much to the disappointment of some fans—she makes sure it counts. The singer belts in a ballgown in a digitally crafted field of flowers, thanks to projections on the screens and the stage floor. The color purple defined the album’s aesthetic, and, though the shade is often associated with royalty, it can also symbolize ambition, power, and independence. Following her historic win at the Grammys for  Fearless,   Speak Now was a pivotal moment in her career. Could she keep up the pace or was she another teen star who lost momentum as they reached young adulthood? Not only did Swift deliver, she proved she could do it on her own: Speak Now was the first album she wrote entirely solo.

The Reputation Era

Spawned from Swift’s 2016 public feud with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West,  Reputation represented the singer’s reflection on fame, public perception, and an opportunity to rewrite the “good girl” narrative she’d carried around for years. Though the album is often billed as defensive and reactive, it remains one of her most misunderstood collections: It’s also full of love songs and sweet moments. The dark stadium and blood red risers certainly support the most common perception of the album; however, it’s hard to miss the lit candles just below her. After all, it’s no coincidence burning is just as frequently used to describe rage and anger as it is passion and love.

During “Look What You Made Me Do,” Swift’s backup dancers perform in doll boxes dressed in outfits inspired by previous looks she’s worn. The moment is a direct nod to the song’s  music video , in which Swift reenacts various moments throughout her time in the public eye in an eruptive, Easter egg-filled video.

The Folklore and Evermore Era

Taylor Swift on an A-frame during the Folklore set

To make room for new material, Swift now combines two albums, Folklore and Evermore, into one set. “I was so obsessed with the  Folklore set because it seemed like Taylor was living her best life in a little remote forest cabin even though some 60,000 people were watching her,” Minocha says of watching the opening night show in Glendale, Arizona back in 2023. (A version of this home was first seen in her  2021 Grammy’s performance .)

Thematically,  Folklore explored a fictional woodland world Swift dreamed up during quarantine, and while a cabin certainly captures that aura, the choice of an A-frame specifically is notable. Because they were relatively cheap and easy to build, the style of home grew in popularity in the United States following World War II as vacation properties—an appropriate connection given the album is centered around an escapist fantasy.

A-frames also represented a unique moment for architects who, with little financial consequences at stake, were able to test out their more speculative creative ideations. In many ways, with lockdowns, limited promotion, and no obvious answer for how or if the music would be performed live, this is what Swift’s  Folklore era represented too: the opportunity to explore,  uninhibited . “I love that album and she really created this whole world for it,” Low adds, “Building the folklore cabin and bringing us all into that world with her was just so cool.”

Swift uses a moss-covered piano for songs during this set.

Swift’s ninth album, Evermore, was positioned as a deeper exploration of the “folklorian woods,” the fictional, cottagecore-inspired place Swift used to direct her first foray into indie folk music. In the combined set, trees circle the singer on the screens behind her while Swift croons behind a moss-covered piano.

The 1989 Era

“Another thing that I loved about the stage design in general was how there are basically three different parts of it that all connected together: the main stage, the diamond stage, and the catwalk that leads to the end of the stage,” Miranda says. “She really utilizes each and every one of these sections of the stage at different times during the night.”

Though examples are abundant, a particularly creative use comes during Swift’s  1989 set, a record which won Album of the Year at the Grammys in 2016. While performing “Blank Space” on the central diamond, the raised portion displays a Shelby Cobra, which Swift and backup dancers “hit” with light-up golf clubs in a live reenactment of an iconic scene from the song’s music video.

The Tortured Poet’s Department Era

Following much speculation, Swift added a brand-new set to the Eras Tour when the show began its European leg in Paris on May 9. Designed for her latest record-shattering album, The Tortured Poet’s Department (TTPD), the stage takes on a noir palette for this portion of the show. Screen projections and props include a UFO ship that beams a spotlight on the singer as well as a rolling bed-table hybrid seemingly designed to resemble a 19th-century hospital bed. “ TTPD feels like its own mini production and it is so beautifully done,” says Molly Swindall, a fan who has attended shows since the set list additions. “The entire set also has elements that feel more like her past tours. I loved all of it.”

Taylor Swift performs onstage during Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour at La Defense on May 09 2024 in Paris France

“For a minute I knew cosmic love,” Swift sings beneath the beam of a UFO.

The Tortured Poet’s set also includes the addition of a new stage piece: an elevated box that mirrors the floor projections, giving the appearance that Swift is levitating around the stage. Some fans have endearingly describe the prop as a “ stage Roomba. ” “The Roomba is what it has been deemed; it’s a smart way to move around the stage quickly,” Swindall adds. “I haven’t seen something like that before.”

The bed recalls Swift’s “Fortnight” music video.

The set ends with a highly theatrical performance of the singer’s “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” in which the stage takes on the appearance of a vaudeville-, burlesque-style theater . Many fans linked the design to Clara Bow, a silent film star who Swift name-checks on the album. However, perhaps the most notable aspect is the simulated proscenium arch. In theater architecture, the detail marks the metaphorical plane separating performers from the audience, similar in concept to the “fourth wall.” It’s a unique addition considering the architectural detail is not possible in a stadium designed for 360-degree views—generally the only venues in which Swift performs.

Swift sings “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” at The Eras Tour in Paris.

It’s particularly impactful when considering a recurring theme on the album: Swift’s complex relationship with fame and fans . In songs like “But Daddy I Love Him” and “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” she sings about the pressure to please fans and her frustration with commentary about her life and decisions. The proscenium could represent a metaphorical separation between Swift, the performer, and Swift, the person, showcasing which version of her she believes fans are entitled to.

The Midnights Era

During the final set of the show Swift performed songs from her newest album Midnights.

During the final set of the show, Swift performs songs from her album Midnights.

The non-stop show ends with cuts from Swift’s 2022 album,  Midnights,  with the stage cast in dark light, representative of both the title of the album and the end of the concert. Standing firmly in the present,  Midnights still has its roots in the past, since the album tells “the stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout my life,” Swift explained in a  Instagram post . It’s easy to follow the way the previous two-plus hours of sonic reflection—aided through the incredible set design—brings her to where she is now. As Minocha summarizes, “I’ve been to almost all of Taylor’s past tours ,and the stage and production has always been above and beyond, but because this one explores all the eras of her career, everything is just next level.”

And here’s a handy guide to exactly how Taylor has been honoring her own fashion history during the Eras Tour.

Taylor opens her Eras Tour set with songs from Lover , wearing a sparkly bodysuit (the one she wore during the tour’s opening night was reportedly custom Versace) and equally sparkly knee-high boots (the pair from night one was Louboutin).

Speak Now doesn’t get much real estate in the Eras Tour set list (“Enchanted” appears to be the only song from the album that’s a permanent part of the show), but it’s a showstopping fashion moment that sees Taylor channeling her inner Disney princess in a ball gown by Nicole + Felicia Couture:

This is one of the looks she switched up on night 2:

Red gets one of the best fashion moments during the Eras Tour, with Taylor re-creating her “22” music video look—but with some edits to the text on her iconic “Not a Lot Going on at the Moment” T-shirt. On night 1, it said, “A Lot Going on at the Moment”:

On night 2, the T-shirt read, “Who’s Taylor Swift Anyway? Ew.”

After performing “22,” Taylor changes looks into a sparkly red-and-black bodysuit that’s reminiscent of her iconic ringleader outfit from the original Red tour.

Finally, Taylor adds a long coat to the look to perform the 10-minute version of “All Too Well,” presumably because the song’s fall vibes are so strong that she actually gets chilly the second she starts to sing it:

Next up is the Folklore section of the playlist and Taylor changes into cottagecore chic to meet the mood. On night 1, she wore a custom purple Alberta Ferretti gown:

This section of the show marked one of the starkest wardrobe differences for night 2, when she wore this flowy dream of a dress, which is also custom Alberta Ferretti :

For the 1989 section of the set list, Taylor goes with sparkly two-piece numbers from Roberto Cavalli . Night 1’s was pink:

Night 2’s variation was almost identical but in lime green:

Taylor’s self-titled debut album doesn’t have much representation during the show, TBH, but on opening night, she did perform “Tim McGraw” during the acoustic break between 1989 and Midnights while wearing this magenta gown:

Night 2’s acoustic look was similar but in green (although it didn’t include any songs from her debut album):

Taylor ends her Eras Tour set list with songs from Midnights , beginning with “Lavender Haze” in a sequined mini with a custom fluffy purple Oscar de la Renta coat :

She ditches the coat to perform “Anti-Hero”:

And then she changes into her final look of the night, a black bodysuit ( also Oscar de la Renta ) for “Vigilante Sh*t” and “Bejeweled”:

Which she adds another fabulous coat to by the time she closes out the show with “Karma”:

The Midnight s looks stayed mostly the same for night 2, except for the “Anti-Hero” mini, which was bright blue:

This is How Much It Costs to See Taylor Swift on The Eras Tour

Taylor Swift Concert Prices

For some, forking over four digits for a concert is just too much, but for others, the experience is worth the money.

Gabrielle Lask isn’t normally a big spender, but when she had an opportunity to purchase two tickets to Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour for $4,000, the Swiftie just couldn’t “shake off” the chance to see the singer with her mom.

“It’s so much money,” Lask says. “I honestly don’t think I’ve ever spent that much money on anything in my life, but I was dying to go to that show. My mom surprised me with tickets for my 11th birthday for the Fearless tour, and this would be a full-circle moment for us to go back together.”

How Lask Covered the Cost

Lask, 24, and her mother first tried purchasing tickets through the presale program for Capital One cardholders , which reportedly offered ticket prices as low as $49.

When that didn’t work out, Lask says they tried several avenues to get tickets before connecting with a ticket broker who could get them the unobstructed, 300-level tickets for $2,000 each.

To cover the cost, Lask says she took $3,000 out of her savings account to pay for the tickets. Her mom paid the other $1,000 and paid for Lask’s flight from Florida to St. Louis, where they met and drove to Chicago together for the concert. Her mother also paid for the hotel room after the concert.

Resale Ticket Prices Have Gone Through the Ceiling

Lask wasn’t the only fan spending thousands on tickets to The Eras Tour – resale ticket prices have skyrocketed, even as the singer has continued to add more tour dates. Earlier this month, Swift unveiled a schedule for previously unannounced North American shows running through November in Miami, New Orleans, Indiana and Canada. After that, she'll take the show abroad.

The average resale ticket sold for the concert at the time of publications is $1,619, according to SeatGeek. By comparison, the average resale concert ticket this year is about $245.

“What makes (Swift’s ticket sales) even more impressive is that she is drawing this level of demand while playing at the largest venues in the country,” says Chris Leyden, director of growth marketing at SeatGeek. “Taylor nearly broke the internet during her Eras Tour tickets sales, and the demand has not subsided.”

Fans Went Way Over Budget

Even fans who managed to get their tickets during the presale at lower prices often spent more than they expected.

Swift may have competition when it comes to fans spending on concert tickets, however. A recent InvestorsObserver survey found that fans of Beyonce were laying out an average of $1,800 each to see Queen Bey perform, about $300 more than the average spend by Swifties.

For some, however, forking over four digits for a concert is just too much. More than 70% of consumers recently told LendingTree that they've opted out of seeing their favorite performers because prices were too high.

But for Lask, who has seen Swift in concert four times, the experience was worth the money.

“She is my favorite artist, and she has released so much new music since her last tour, I couldn’t miss it,” Lask says. “It was so amazing, I cried multiple times. It was surreal being there after the battle and uncertainty of getting tickets. I just couldn’t believe I was there.”

Taylor Swift fans terrified as 'phantom' figure spotted at Eras Tour concert

Taylor Swift's fans were left feeling a little uneasy after spotting an odd figure watching the pop star perform from high up in the stadium during her concert in Madrid.

Prior to heading to Scotland for the UK leg of the Eras Tour, Taylor was entertaining millions of fans at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Spain.

  • Taylor Swift has 250 pairs of Louboutin's for Eras Tour and they cost hefty sum
  • Taylor Swift impresses fans as she handles wardrobe mishap mid-performance

A video shared on X (formerly Twitter) captured the peculiar sight, initially showing the massive crowd before focusing on a shadowy figure in the rafters who appeared to be dancing or playing an instrument.

The mysterious presence left fans puzzled and somewhat unnerved.

"IM SCARED WTF DELETE," one X user posted.

"This is so creepy," another commented, while a third questioned: "iiu he playing a guitar??? up there???"

One fan noted the figure's strange aura, saying: "Like obviously it's a person but... why?? it's so weirdly ominous."

Another echoed the sentiment, asking: "Why is this so creepy."

Some fans likened the figure to the Phantom of the Opera or referenced the recent Doctor Who episode 73 Yards.

However, others offered more plausible explanations, suggesting it could be a security guard or a member of the tech crew enjoying the show.

"It was literally a security man, I was near to that section and he was standing there and checking on us all the time," one fan explained.

It was also disclosed that the stadium has stairs leading to the upper platform, which explains how the figure managed to get a bird's-eye view of the concert.

However, a video of an odd figure observing from the rafters is not exactly what Swift's fans want to see just hours before they finally get to watch her perform live.

The "Midnights" singer will kick off her UK tour with three concerts in Edinburgh, followed by performances in Liverpool, Cardiff, London, and Dublin.

She'll then take a brief hiatus at the end of July before returning to London for a five-show run at Wembley Stadium.
