L.P. is an American pop/rock artist from New York City who is also a songwriter. Singer L.P. was born Laura Pergolizzi and has had a wide ranging musical career signing with various labels throughout her career such as Island Def Jam Music Group and SoBe Entertainment.

In her early days she was first featured on songs with the band Cracker when David Lowery spotted her talent in 1998 and put her on some of the bands hidden tracks. Her powerful voice has a haunting vibrato with a beautiful eerie quality that peaks equally in all her wide ranging tones. L.P. has gained a reputation for her bellowing vocal cords that stay strong in even the highest notes.

There are few artists to compare her unique sound too and she knows how to capture an audience in a way that few can. Her casual style and small stature can be deceiving but those who have seen her live know not to be mislead.

She comes bringing the thunder right out of the gate and from the first moment she steps on stage you will find yourself hypnotized in the silky river of her melodious voice.

I discovered LP in October 2018 and instantly became a huge fan... I was ecstatic to learn she was coming to Houston and I bought 2 tickets (for me and my husband) to, what ended up being, a SOLD OUT show last night!

All I can say is she performed like a SUPERSTAR!!! She did most of the songs on her new album that was just released, and they all sounded like hits!! The venue wasn’t very big, but the energy was amazing and everyone there sang along to every song. I honestly left feeling that is was a privilege to hear such a talented artist perform - I don’t understand why she isn’t more well known. She writes all of her songs and plays the guitar, ukulele, harmonica, and, oh the whistling!!! She wasn’t a big talker, but had loads of energy on the stage and enteracted with the audience brilliantly!

Well the opening act was OK for the 1st song but then everything sounded the same and it became a very long hour. After that it seemed that the stage crew had not done any work before the show because it took almost 40 Min to get the stage ready. When LP finally came out I was not in my most upbeat of moods but before the first song had finished she had not only changed my mood but made me feel privileged to be there. The concert was VERY GOOD, she sounded amazing and her band was on cue every step of the way. It appeared that the audience was miked and some of the screams / shouts amplified back, those decibels were a bit high and unnecessary as the crown was very receptive to a great performance. I've been bragging to people about the concert and look forward to our next LP concert.

There are no words, no picture, or no video that can depict the awesomeness of this woman! I felt like I transcended into a whole new level of existence, and will be forever changed by by the magnitude of her presence and her voice. I am still reeling, and unable to focus on anything else! She is a lyrical genius whose music is poetry in action.

Also, I am so glad to have met so many wonderful people on her show in Fort Lauderdale. I thoroughly enjoyed hanging out and sharing the anticipation with other LP fans! It was a beautiful night...and an experience of a lifetime..

We saw LP at U Street Music Hall in DC on May 28, 2017. LP was one of those rare performers who is not only a virtuoso at her craft (amazing vocals), but also had charisma. She wasn't ultra-talkative, but she still connected with the audience, and everyone had a fantastic time. It was a really impressive performance that went on and on, in a good way. There was a lot of singing along and dancing in the audience. I think of LP as a relatively new artist, but she apparently has plenty of songs in her playbook. She was on stage for at least an hour, and we skipped the encore.

So we are on the other side of the globe and havent had the privilege to see LP live. I've just started tracking her in the hope that one day in the near future ill be notified of an Australian Tour. I run an LP Australia page both on Facebook and Instagram so any Aussies out there that would love to see this amazing artist perform down under, come and like the page. Lets build this under acknowledged artist the fame she deserves

Me and my syster loved the way LP sings and interact with the spectators. Her voice is so special and strong. We really felt her sensibility, with a very strong drive. Love the women. I did not really new her (my sister invited me), except for the hit "Lost on You". Her songs are about love, faith, and I guess resilience. The MTELUS was packed with a "beautiful" montrealers croud on that 28th of february. A night to remember.

LP is an incredible live performer, I'm in love all over again! The visuals were gorgeous for the smallish stage and her voice was so powerful and beautiful. You can tell she puts so much energy into each song. The opening act Korey Dane was funny and played some great songs, I'm a fan now! I'll definitely be going to see LP the next time she tours :)

LP is definitely one of the most gifted, talented, entertaining, gracious and audience-engaging artists I've ever had the pleasure to see live - a thoroughly mesmerizing show. Her vocal ability is almost supernatural, and she whistles like Andrew Bird and catches like Buster Posey. Looking forward to seeing her again, soon and as much as possible!

Potem nic...... I dopiero LP zakochałam się w jej muzyce głosie.... Czekam na kolejne i kolejne spotkanie z lp....

LP announces UK tour dates for 2022: find out how to get tickets

The versatile songwriter will play Glasgow, London, Manchester and more

American singer-songwriter LP has announced a string of UK tour dates for January 2022. Tickets for the shows go on sale at 9am on Friday 24 September.

The tour comes partly in support of her latest album Churches , set for release on Friday 8 October 2021 via [PIAS] Recordings.

Known for her unwavering falsetto voice and catchy lyrics, LP has enjoyed phenomenal success since the release of her debut album Heart-Shaped Scar in 2001, with hit single 'Lost On You' garnering almost 500 million plays on Spotify.

Outside of her own unique pop creations, LP has written songs for a huge number of artists including Cher, Rihanna, the Backstreet Boys, Leona Lewis, Mylène Farmer, Céline Dion and Christina Aguilera. Yet her best work can be found in her career as a solo artist – expect to hear plenty of her hits alongside new material when she arrives on UK shores in January.

LP's 2022 UK tour dates: Friday 21 January – O2 Academy, Leeds Saturday 22 January – O2 Academy, Glasgow Sunday 23 January – O2 Apollo, Manchester Tuesday 25 January – Eventim Apollo, London Wednesday 26 January – O2 Academy, Birmingham.

Tickets for LP's gigs go on sale at 9am on Friday 24 September.

The Long Island-born singer-songwriter, Laura Pergolizzi, performs an acoustic set of her pop-rock originals.

Taking Back Sunday announce 2024 UK shows

Taking Back Sunday have announced a handful of UK tour dates set to kick off in spring next year.

The UK tour is in support of the band’s latest album ‘152’ which marked their first full-length LP in seven years. The shows will kick off on March 26, 2024, at the O2 Ritz in Manchester. From there, the band will play the O2 Forum Kentish Town in London on March 27 before wrapping up at the University Great Hall in Cardiff on March 28.

A ticket pre-sale will be available for the Manchester and London shows on Wednesday, November 29 at 10am GMT. General ticket sales will commence on Friday, December 1 at 10am GMT. Visit here for tickets.

Speaking about the UK gigs in a press release, the band said: “We are very excited to head back to the UK. It’s still amazing to us that we can travel that far away from home and feel the same way we do playing a show close by. Folks over there have been so supportive and welcoming and we’re excited to debut some of the new stuff live along with the old favourites. Plus there’s Nando’s so it’s a win-win.”

In an interview with NME discussing their latest album ‘152’, Taking Back Sunday’s frontman Adam Lazzara said:“Going into the record, we put a lot of pressure on ourselves to make sure everything was miles away from anything we’d done before.”

“When you’ve been doing this for as long as we have, there’s a danger it’ll get to a point where nobody cares that you’re putting out new music,” added lead guitarist John Nolan. “The only way to really avoid that is to make an album so good that it gets people excited and demands their attention.”

In other news, Taking Back Sunday recently surprised a pair of longtime fans by crashing their wedding .

The band up turned up at the couple’s ceremony in Trout Lake in Stroudsburg on the same day they released their new album ‘152’ on Friday, October 27.

The couple’s maid of honour arranged the surprise which saw the band perform ‘I Am The Only One Who Knows You’ and ‘The One’ from their new record. They also presented the couple with flowers and a copy of their new album.

This is the 3rd time ive seen Lp and i have to say she is definitely getting better , her interaction with the crowd is good , i think lost on you has became her anthem just the way she performs her songs which i have to say are all good i have personal favourites like everyone else has . 10/10 i highly recommend her live show ❤️ .

Confidence Man announce UK tour dates and ticket details

Confidence Man have announced details of a headline UK tour – and this is how to get tickets.

The duo will embark on a tour in late 2024 in support of their upcoming album, 3AM (La La La) .

Fans can get their hands on tickets for the tour from Ticketmaster and See Tickets .

The tour will begin on 20 November in Norwich and head to the likes of Nottingham, Newcastle, Glasgow and Sheffield.

They’ll also perform dates in Leeds, Manchester, Bristol and Birmingham, before finishing up the run with their biggest headline show to date at O2 Brixton Academy on 6 December.

The tour will be in support of their upcoming third studio album, 3AM (La La La) which is due for release on 18 October.

It features the lead single “I Can’t Lose You”, which is accompanied by a music video that features band members, Janet Planet and Sugar Bones ride in a helicopter naked over the London skyline.

The LP follows up 2022’s Tilt, which reached number one on the UK Dance Albums chart and features singles “Holiday” and “Luvin U Is Easy”.

This weekend they’ll also perform at Glastonbury Festival including a set on the Other Stage, as well as hosting a club night, among other appearances across the event.

In support of his forthcoming debut country album, the "Pour Me a Drink" singer has announced dates for his F-1 Trillion Tour, set to kick off in September

• The 21-show outing is in support of the rapper/singer's debut country album, F-1 Trillion , out Aug. 16
• So far, he's released album singles "I Had Some Help" and "Pour Me a Drink," featuring Morgan Wallen and Blake Shelton, respectively

Post Malone is pulling out all the stops for his country pivot.

On Tuesday, June 25, the rapper/singer, 28, revealed dates for his upcoming F-1 Trillion Tour, a 21-show outing hitting stadiums, festivals and theaters in support of his freshly announced debut country album of the same name. 

“I love y’all so very much, and I’m so excited to get out and play new music for you,” Malone told fans in his tour announcement. 

He kicks off the new tour in Salt Lake City on Sept. 8 before making stops in New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, Alabama and more. The “Circles” singer concludes his road run with a final show in Nashville on Oct. 19. 

Pre-sale tickets go live on Wednesday, June 26, at 10 a.m. local time, while general sale tickets will be available on Monday, July 1, on livenation.com .

Just last week, Malone released his latest track, “ Pour Me a Drink ,” featuring country legend Blake Shelton , as the mark of his new countrified era. The single — which the collaborators first performed at CMA Fest on June 6 — arrived just a few days after the “Rockstar” artist unveiled the name of his sixth studio album with a giant purple billboard in Nashville.

“Sup motherf---as…F-1 Trillion August 16th,” Malone announced on Instagram , also confirming the LP’s release date. He followed up the next day by revealing the album’s artwork, which pictures an old F-150 pickup truck sinking vertically into a lake.

Malone officially began his country music foray in November when he teamed up with Morgan Wallen and HARDY for a performance at the 2023 CMA Awards . He continued with a feature on Beyoncé ’s Cowboy Carter album in March for their “Levii’s Jeans” collaboration before he surprise performed a slew of country covers at Nashville’s famed Ryman Auditorium the following month.

He then made his ACM Awards debut in May by performing his first F-1 Trillion earworm single and chart-topping hit, " I Had Some Help ," featuring Wallen, and a surprise a cappella version of The Allman Brothers Band's "Ramblin' Man" with host and country icon Reba McEntire .

Malone first toyed with the idea of recording a country album in 2022 during an appearance on The Howard Stern Show , where the 10-time Grammy-nominated star affirmed that he didn’t want to be confined to any one genre.

"To be honest, there's nothing stopping me from taking a camera or setting up in my studio in Utah and just recording a country album [to put] on YouTube," he shared. "I'm allowed to do that. I'm a human being."

"I split my time between a lot of different things because I am happily obligated to do concerts and show love to my fans, and then I'm happily obligated to write music and make beats by myself, and I'm happily obligated to, you know, take care of my family,” he added. “So, it's a lot of time, and it's about finding that space to allot that time. If I get another year to myself, maybe I'll make a f---ing country album."

Singer-songwriter Sabrina Carpenter has announced her upcoming North American headlining arena tour. The “ Short n’ Sweet ” tour, which kicks off September 23 in Columbus, Ohio, includes dates at New York’s Madison Square Garden and Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Amaarae , Griff and Declan McKenna will be supporting Carpenter on this tour. Carpenter has partnered with PLUS1 on this tour to launch the Sabrina Carpenter Fund, which will support the well-being of people and animals, including national and local organizations working on the issues of mental health, animal welfare, and support for the LGBTQ+ community.

Nearly six albums into her career, Carpenter made Hot 100 history with her new single “Please Please Please” debuting at No. 2, and “Espresso” rising to a new peak of No. 3 on the list. The 25-year-old singer-songwriter became the first solo act in the history of the Billboard chart to land two simultaneous top-three hits without having previously charted in that realm.

“Please Please Please” was completed by a cinematic music video starring “Saltburn” star and Carpenter’s real-life boyfriend, Barry Keoghan. The song was co-written with Amy Allen, who also helped pen “Espresso.”

The singles will appear on her new album, “Short n’ Sweet,” due out Aug. 23. “This project is quite special to me and [I] hope it’ll be something special to you too,” she wrote on social media with the announcement. Half of the LP was produced by Jack Antonoff, along with returning collaborator, Julian Bunetta, as reported by Rolling Stone.

Carpenter released her fifth album “Emails I Can’t Send” in 2022 , as well as its deluxe edition “Emails I Can’t Send Fwd” the following year. It became her highest-charting to date and boasted a hot single “Nonsense,” a song that caught fire after she provided alternate closing lyrics while opening for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in South America and Australia. She also toured the album on her own 80-date headlining world tour.
