It was advertised as a "stripped back"show, so I wasn't sure what to expect.

For Elbow, this meant just the 4 members of the band, plus Alex Reeves on drums - none of the usual strings or brass normally found on tour with them, and no fancy back drops and lighting, just a fairly basic light show.

It was a fairly intimate gig in the O2 Ritz, something like 1500 people, and it was amazing! Guy Garvey comes across as the bloke next door who would find any excuse to go for a pint with you. Everyone is his friend.

They played 8 songs, 3 from the new album, and 5 from older albums - and they were amazing! They are great in the big arenas, but even better in a smaller venue!

Guy and the gang did not cease to amaze with pitch perfect vocals and brilliant interaction with the crowd. “Manchester harmony” he called it. The venue is amazing and just the right size with trains passing by to Deansgate. This causes a great response from the crowd and passengers all waving at each other.

My only negative is the sound curfew as it’s a built up area. I’m sure those all sat on their balconies getting it free wouldn’t complain. Well may be about Kylie the night after.

In all, a brilliant set list and performance from Manchester’s finest. Can’t wait for new album.

Up first an eight song set by John Grant fizzling with good humour, swear words aplenty and that beautiful tenor voice Marz and Glacier were outstanding.

Elbow came on stage just after 8:30, Mr Garvey in 90’s handwaving top form, a little demob happy as this was the last gig for some time as he played master of ceremonies though Elbows greatest hits. The voice is just so pure as the music swells around his word pictures and his bro romance with John Grant is hilarious . The whole set was outstanding with light show and back screens to match.Disapointed that there was no sad captains, but the duet between Garvey and Grant made up for it. Loved little fictions, grounds for divorce, Lippy kids but hearing one day like this live for the first time made my night. Come back soon Elbow, until then I will throw those curtains wide.

Elbow have announced tour dates for 2024.

The One Day Like This outfit will return with a 10th studio album next year, which they will support with their first arena tour since 2018.

Guy Garvey and co will kick off their shows at the Brighton Centre on 7th May, before visiting the likes of The O2 London and Glasgow's OVO Hydro.

The dates will also include a huge homecoming show at Manchester Co-op Live.

Tickets will go on general sale on Friday 27th October from 10am via Ticketmaster .

Bury band Elbow have confirmed their return in 2024 with a string of UK tour dates to accompany the release of their tenth studio album. Taking place in May next year, it will be their first arena tour since 2018.

Heading out on tour next May, the 2008 Mercury Prize winners will be commencing their tour in Brighton on May 7, before stopping off in London, Birmingham, Glasgow and Leeds. They will bring the tour to a close in Nottingham on May 15, following a homecoming show on May 14 at Manchester's soon-to-open Co-op Live .

Fans are able to register for a ticket pre-sale for the arena tour from Friday, 20 October by pre-ordering a special limited edition of the new album from Elbow's website. The pre-sale will go live on Wednesday, 25 October at 10am. Tickets for the shows are available on general sale from Friday, 27 October via Ticketmaster .

The dates see Elbow revisit the scene of some of their greatest moments, but also break new ground in Manchester, where they will be among the first acts at the new Co-op Live, the largest indoor concert space in the UK. That night will add another landmark hometown moment for the books that includes shows at legendary venues from Night And Day Café to multiple nights at the Manchester’s O2 Apollo and headline shows at the city’s AO Arena, Castlefield Bowl, and the Bridgewater Hall with the Hallé orchestra.

Formed in Bury , the rock band were winners of the 2008 Mercury Music Prize for their fourth studio album, the multi-platinum selling The Seldom Seen Kid and the 2009 BRIT Award for Best British Group, Over more than two decades, the band have forged a career that has established them as one of the most respected musical forces of current times.

The tour will also celebrate the release of their tenth studio album. The new album was written and recorded in their individual studios in Manchester and London and progressed with a period together in the Cotswolds. Production and mixing were finalised at their spiritual home of Blueprint Studios, Salford, a place central to all elbow albums.

The landmark release of a tenth studio album in March 2024 for one of the UK’s most beloved bands underlines the importance of elbow to the story of contemporary British music. Their nine studio albums to date have seen elbow amass a host of awards, including a BRIT, a Mercury prize, and multiple Ivor Novello songwriting awards. After performing at the 2012 London Olympics closing ceremony the band were granted the freedom of their hometown of Bury.

Manchester rock band Elbow have revealed they will be going on tour in spring 2024. 

The band has been together since 1997, with Guy Garvey as the lead vocalist and guitarist, Craig Potter manning the keyboard and piano, Mark Potter as a fellow guitarist, and Pete Turner on bass guitar. 

The arena tour will be the first one since 2018 and will accompany the release of their tenth studio album, which is due to be released in March 2024.

Talking about their decision to host their concerts in an area, Guy Garvey said: “We love the intimacy of theatres, but we have some very big songs and the electricity of 20,000 people singing along cannot be denied. So, the big rooms it is and big shows they will be. Can’t wait to see everybody again.”

When and where will the Elbow tour concert be? 

The tour will take place between May 7 and 15, 2024. They will be stopping in London for one show during that period.

Tucker Carlson Live Tour 2024: How to get tickets to see Tuckerdumb and Taylordumber be idiots in person

America is gradually becoming overrun with empty-headed egomaniacs, and they’re being welcomed with open arms by the likes of Tucker Carlson .

The sneering Fox News host has been deepening the political divide in our nation for years now, but Donald Trump’s rise truly harkened in his peak era. He’s been thriving for nearly a decade now, as he maliciously twists the truth into a narrative that will net him more money, more influence, and a space at the elbow of our nation’s powerful, self-serving politicians.

It’s all worked out for Carlson so far — enough so, in fact, that he’s now headed on a hate-spewing tour across the same nation he seeks to divide. He’s headed out to several states across the U.S., so people can get up close and personal with the slimy, vacant talking head, and Marjorie Taylor Greene was at the top of the list. She’s already secured a spot next to Carlson on his incoming tour, providing people with the unique opportunity to see two walking, talking turds spread idiocy like it’s COVID-19 in the same sitting.

Tucker will be joined by the boorishly bullheaded Greene at his Greenville, South Carolina stop on Sept. 26, marking a strange sort of holiday for the MAGA crowd. They’ll have the chance to see stupid work to outdo itself as the pair of witless boneheads skewer American politics and lie their way through the event, but they’ll have to pay up to do so.

As it turns out, Tucker Carlson tickets aren’t cheap. Even the least expensive tickets — which are still on pre-sale, no less — run more than $50 on Ticketmaster, and for the South Carolina appearance the presale hasn’t even opened yet . Tickets are all but guaranteed to run even more for the dual dingbat appearance, however, likely costing upwards of $100 even for nosebleed seats.

Every seat in that South Carolina arena is likely to prompt nosebleeds, unfortunately, once two of the dumbest people this nation has to offer start spewing their nonsense. It’s like Captain Planet but the only thing these blowhards summon when combining forces is a disappointing dumpster fire from Queens.

It won’t be cheap to make this particular meeting of the melted minds , but those tickets are still likely to sell out quick. Both Greene and Carlson are popular in the lowest circle of American hell, and they’ll pull in plenty of interest from the mindless MAGA minions who helped provide them a platform in the first place.

A word to the wise: If you find yourself in South Carolina in late September, steer well clear of the Bon Secours Wellness Arena.
