I had heard about lots of Women travel groups. After a lot of research and comparison my sister and I decided to try Women on Clouds for a trip to Leh. Shireen was very friendly and patient as we kept calling her often with queries and doubts till we were convinced. The icing on the cake was our co-ordinator Rashmi Kanwar, an ever-smiling, patient, adjusting and extremely helpful 'anchor' who bonded the group together. Weather conditions were quite tough, but Rashmi was like our Florence Nightingale and took extreme good care of each one of us. Rooms in Leh Nubra and Pangong were clean and spacious and the choice of the hotels in terms of location was perfect. Ample drinking water was provided. Transport arrangement was very good, and the drivers well mannered and helpful. We even had a woman guide on our trip - cheerful assertive and well informed. To sum up - I would definitely go again on a trip with WOC. Thank you for making this happen!

Mumbai is the city that never sleeps of Asia. My heart got stuck over there. As a woman, you obviously get a lot of attention, a lot of looks. I found the best way to handle it was to not look back, keep walking straight as if you know the way. I never had any problems worse than that.

Mumbai is full of people from various backgrounds, ethnically and economically. Having spent 25 years in Mumbai, Mumbai is as safe as it can be. I wouldn’t say there’s no crime rate, but locals are friendly and police officials are present 24/7 for safety. Avoid wandering off alone in a secluded place past midnight.

Hello girlies! Mumbai is quite safe during the day or early morning. It’s divided in certain sections, there are Mumbai suburbs, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai (new Mumbai) and Old Mumbai. The well developed areas are very well lit at night, have a rich nightlife and are quite safe at night. These areas are also somewhat different in terms of living costs. The suburbs aren’t that well developed and nor does it have a night life, it’s where post 9-10pm you’ll find very few people outside but in Mumbai (Bandra/Andheri) side people are out til 1-3am. It’s quite safe overall considering where you go and who you have around. Good luck!

Mumbai is incredibly safe for women travelling alone, even during late hours. Best food to try would be Pav Bhaji at Achija, Chocolate shake at Bachelors. Use auto for local transportation as they are fairly priced.

Its an amazing place thats so fast paced you’d mot know where you day goes. Its very safe for women at all time of the day. The city takes time to get used to and the travel takes longer than you’ll ever assume it would.
