Important Maid of the Mist ticket information

Tickets purchased online are valid any day we are open during the season, but reservations for a specific date or time are not accepted. All passengers, including those with online tickets, will be boarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets purchased in person at our ticket office are only valid on the purchase day.

The prices are in U.S. dollars and include the cost of the elevator, which is necessary to reach our landing.

This legendary boat tour takes place aboard a state-of-the-art catamaran. Hornblower Niagara City Cruises is the official supplier to Niagara Parks, providing Canada’s only Niagara Falls boat tour experience.

Reservations are not necessary and tickets can be purchased at the attraction ticket window. During a typical season the boat rides below Niagara Falls opens in late April or early May and runs until mid to late October.

All guests are issued a disposable plastic poncho to wear during the tour which will keep you reasonably dry. When the boat gets close to the Canadian Falls is where you will encounter the majority of mist. If you wish to stay dry simply move to another location on the boat where there is less mist. The tour lasts 15-20 minutes. For clothing, summer is for shorts and t-shirts. A pair of beach shoes or sneakers work fine but don’t wear anything you wouldn’t want to get damp. For spring and fall weather you need to dress appropriately for the local weather and just expect to get slightly damp. Usually you will have the ability to get great photos right up until you get close to the base of the Canadian Falls. Remember that even a slight mist on your camera lens will ruin any photo!

The entrance is in Queen Victoria Park less than a minute walk from the base of Clifton Hill. Parking is available at one of three very large parking lots near Queen Victoria Park.

Over 70% of visitors rate the Holiday Inn as very good to excellent. Location is great as it’s close to the Falls and the Fallsview Casino. There is also a great selection of nearby restaurants at the Hilton Fallsview and the Casino.

It is only a six minute walk to Queen Victoria Park and fifteen minutes to the Boat ride below the Falls ticket window. If you are not interested in all the kitsch of Clifton Hill and want to be closer to the Table Rock House and Journey Behind the Falls this is the place for you!

While the Best Western is not within walking distance of the Falls we think this is a high quality hotel for the price. Reviews are almost always very good with very few complaints.

For those of you who might visit Niagara Falls during the off-season the large swimming pool is very inviting and of course the kids just love it.

The Wyndham Garden Fallsview  is located conveniently close to many restaurants and is only a 10 minute walk to the Falls. Some units include a sitting area or a hot tub for relaxing after a busy day of sight seeing. All rooms are equipped with Flat-screen TV's. 24-hour front desk and gift shop at the property.

This Super 8 is conveniently located near shopping, many restaurants and only a 10 minute drive to the Falls. Hotel features free Wi-Fi and a seasonal outdoor pool. The guides were very nice and knowledgeable. Reading other reviews stating you have to wait in line, this information is true. our tour end up ending after 5pm. The only thing I didn't like is that our tour guides didn't go with us through our last stop because they wanted to make the last trolley that came at 5pm. If we were told that this was the last trolley we could have decided to get on it with them. we finish walking around our last stop. walk to the trolley stop and sat and waited because they trolley if there is two run come about every 15 to 20mins. We stopped a park worker and they told us the trolleys stop at 5pm. we had to walk in the rain from the of the park to the beginning which was a 17min walk. my family always make the best of our trips because life is not promised. The tour would have gotten a 5 star if the trolley information was given.

Our Guides Angela and her husband Dino were very informative and obviously enjoyed it them selves as well. Great tour. Definitely will recommend it to avoid lines and wasting time,They kept the participants together and ensured a workable pace for the entire tour. Thank you so much.

We signed up for a package, which included the Niagara Falls Trolley, Maid of the Mist, and Cave of the Winds. We were told at the beginning of the tour that they were only able to provide the Maid of the Mist. All others were no longer available by the time we were to be done with the Maid of the Mist. I do not remember who spoke to us, but we were guaranteed a refund of the amount that we did not experience. It seems to be that the park features hours of operation were changing and they could not accommodate the necessary tours as purchased. But over all, my wife and I had a memorable experience. A lot of history included with the tour. The major disappointment we have is with the park parking fee. We were led to believe that it was only $10.00 for the day. My credit card was charged $28.50. There were clearly signs that stated that parking was only $10.00 a day. If we get our refund, I will gladly change the review to 5 stars, but till then.k

VERY disappointing. As visitors to the area we were unfamiliar with Niagara Falls, NY. Our goal was to go on Maid of the Mist. In retrospect we should have just bought our own tickets for the boat ($28.95) because this tour added nothing of value to us and cost us much more. Now, having read the review by Nicole S., I couldn't agree more. There is NO perk to this tour. Oh, and Maryam calls them scammers.

what a scam. I thought I was simply buying tickets for maid of the mist. Instead i bought tickets at twice the price to be herded around with a large group of people by a man telling facts that I couldn't even hear.

Thank you so very much for such a GREAT experience. Special mention to ANGELA, the "Green Dragon Guide", you are A M A Z I N G !!! Definitely will recommend it to avoid lines and wasting time, and the best spot for it is 9:00am on Saturday. I'll be back !!! See you soon !!! Best,

Paul, our guide, was knowledgeable and personable. We started out with a group of 14 and that was pleasant. What wasn't good was that because the company had a new guide starting, our group had to cut out of visit to the 3 sisters island to run to meet up with the new guide's group of 35 people and it devolved from there. Ruined the experience being herded as a group of 50+ so we just left. Disappointing ending and not what we paid for. Also, the older man doing the check in process spends a lot of time listening to himself talk leaving his clients to queue up in the son waiting through a very inefficient process. Thanks to our guide. Not so much to the rest of the experience.

Niagra Falls Tours is a fantastic tour operator. Dave went out of his way to accommodate our wishes. I would travel with them again Kathy.

A waste of time and $. Spent several hundreds of dollars for what we thought would be an informative tour of the Falls park and a ride on the maid of the mist. What we got was walked to the line for maid of the mist, and accompanied through the line. There is no perk to this tour. No faster service or less wait than anyone else with a guide book and Google could do it for 1/4 of the cost.
