The Grand Tour Game  puts players behind the wheel of the cars from Season 3, and brings them to the iconic locations the hosts will visit this season, including  The Grand Tour 's signature Eboladrome test track. In  The Grand Tour Game,  players can not only follow in the guys' tire tracks, but race and challenge each other face-to-face.  The Grand Tour Game  features four-player splitscreen, so players can race against each other—and hurl their best insults—in-person. Cheeky power-ups like High Tea, which spills tire-shredding cups and saucers, and More Horsepowers, which lets you blow past the competition, help make the action unpredictable, and keep racers on their toes.

‘The Grand Tour Game’ is a near-perfect mirror of the show

A curious blend of racing and live-action footage..

When Amazon announced its Grand Tour video game , I imagined a generic racer with crudely digitized versions of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May. The reality, though, is quite different. Amazon Game Studios is developing a title that, in many ways, is a perfect mirror of the Prime-exclusive show. The real-world antics portrayed in the TV series are more than loose inspiration -- they're the template for every race and mission in the game.

Unlike Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport , The Grand Tour Game will be an episodic series. You'll buy the lot as a set -- none of the episodes will be available individually -- and they'll be released on a weekly basis, just like the TV show. Ideally, then, the first instalment of the game will coincide with the season three premiere on Amazon Prime, and match each episode thereafter.

"If you buy it early on, you'll get the new episodes as they come out," Brian Lindley, the game's senior producer explained. "[If] you buy it later, you'll just get all of the content at once, because it's already been released."

The team, made up of former Burnout and Need for Speed developers, is aiming to make every race, review and prank of the show playable. Episodes will be broken down into chapters that are bookended with footage straight from the TV show. If Clarkson is reviewing a car, for instance, you'll watch his opening remarks and then take control of the vehicle in-game. As you fly around hairpin bends, the game will deliver a mixture of original voicework and commentary ripped from the TV episode. When you cross the finish line, the game might flip back into live-action footage to wrap up the segment.

It's a unique approach. Plenty of games, including Quantum Break , have experimented with hybrid games that combine interactivity with live-action drama. The 2015 reboot of Need for Speed , for instance, used full motion video (FMV) for all of its cinematics. Oftentimes, though, these scenes come off as hammy or underdeveloped. In theory, The Grand Tour Game should avoid this problem because it's based on a show that -- in the eyes of fans, anyway -- is high quality. If you dislike the series, however, or have recently watched the corresponding episode, you can hit a bumper button and jump ahead to the gameplay portions.

"We cut it down so that you get the flavor of the cars and you get the context of what you're doing with those cars. But you don't have to rewatch everything," Lindley said.

At Gamescom 2018, I was able to play a smattering of segments pulled from the first episode. These included a lap around the show's 'Eboladrome' test track in a BMW M2, driven by Clarkson. Later, I completed a time trial event in a ferocious hypercar piloted by Hammond. The cars and tracks, while adequately detailed, were nowhere near the standard of Gran Turismo Sport and Forza Motorsport 6 . The handling was fine, too, provided you prefer the arcade feel of games like Burnout and Need for Speed . The hypercar was trickier to control, but still a cinch compared to the equivalent vehicle in something like Project Cars 2 .

The unremarkable driving is buoyed by the personality of The Grand Tour show (provided you like its brand of entertainment, of course.) Amazon promises to emulate most, if not all of the "extreme" challenges that are presented in each show, as well as the presenters' unique brand of humour. During a split-screen multiplayer session, for instance, I was able to pick up coins that granted my car "more horsepowers" -- a temporary speed boost -- and 'texting,' which filled the screen of nearby opponents with irritating messages. The first time someone used texting on me, I flipped my car and triggered a light-hearted scream from Hammond.

At times, the game felt more like Mario Kart than Driveclub

At times, the game felt more like Mario Kart than Driveclub . That's probably by design. The Grand Tour Game is accessible and, I suspect, designed for people who watch the show and appreciate car culture, but don't take games too seriously.

The project is a huge experiment. Nobody has made an episodic racer before -- never mind one that matches the schedule of the TV show it's inspired by. It could be a huge success, or flop spectacularly when it arrives later this year on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The deciding factor, I suspect, will be the price. If it's cheap, the game's episodic nature and bombastic set pieces could tempt casual Prime subscribers and racing game enthusiasts alike.

Not the worst Licensed Game

The Good I Like that you have all Characters of the Real Show. Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond. Also this Game has real Cars not some kinda Fake cars you could get in other 15€/$ Car Games. The Bad The Controls are pretty bad and varies too much with different Cars. Also some Kind of Missions in Story mode are repeating too much like Same Track, Different Car 3 times because you have to do it also with James, Richard & Jeremy. If you finished your weekly Story because you get a new Episode every Friday till Season 3 is finished of the Grand tour Show you kinda don't know what to do. There is no online race and race against AI is also very boring and you don't have many tracks. The Bottom Line This Game is perfect for Fans of the Grand Tour Show. Maybe also if you like James, Richard & Jeremy but it's nothing for you if you want a cheap Forza or Gran Tourismo.

Victoria groce wins jeopardy masters 2024: ‘i feel like the luckiest person that ever was’.

Victoria “The Queen” Groce has officially been crowned the winner of Jeopardy! Masters 2024.

Victoria claimed victory over James Holzhauer and Yogesh Raut in Wednesday’s two-game final with a total of 55,400 points. Yogesh took second place with a total of 45,910 points, and James finished in third place with a total of 38,017 points. 

“I am still absolutely buzzing,” Victoria said of her win during a special edition of Inside Jeopardy!. “I cannot believe any of this happened.”

After picking up two clutch Daily Doubles, Victoria secured the win in Game Two of the finals in a runaway and won the competition. 

“Once I hit that last Daily Double, I was like it’s too difficult with the amount that was on the board to really do the math,” Victoria said. “But I was pretty sure that if I kept it small, I was going to lock the game.”

“I felt triumphant, oh my God,” she continued. 

Competition was stiff in Game One of the finals. But after James picked up a Daily Double and provided the correct Final Jeopardy! response, he won the game with 28,309 points. Victoria took second place with 21,400 points; while Yogesh finished in third place with 19,200. 

Victoria lived up to her nickname of “The Queen” and reigned supreme throughout the competition. She notched a total of five runaway games and provided an impressive 257 correct responses. Even with her success in each round, Victoria said she never felt like she had the competition in the bag. 

“I never felt like I could take anything for granted until I had locked up, you know, the next stage of the competition,” Victoria said. “I have far too much respect for the game and far too much respect for my opponents who are incredible.”

“I don’t think I need to tell any viewers how good these players are,” she continued. “All five of them [are] just fantastic.”

As the 2024 Jeopardy! Masters champion Victoria has won the $500,000 grand prize and Trebek Trophy. For finishing in second place, Yogesh earned $250,000; while James, who came in third place, received $150,000. All three players will receive automatic entry into next year’s Jeopardy! Masters. 

For a contestant who previously only won one game back in 2005 before returning to the Alex Trebek Stage this year and winning the Jeopardy! Invitational, Victoria has proven to be one of the show’s most formidable players.

“This is every dream I would have had for myself as a young kid,” Victoria said of her Jeopardy! journey.

All we know is that, when this low-level British diplomat (who, like all the British characters, whether they hail from London or pine for Yorkshire, speaks in Portuguese) shows up at Mandalay train station, it is 1918, near midnight and he is drunk. The next day, when he goes to pick Molly up from her arriving steamship, his nerve suddenly fails, and before he even claps eyes on her, he scarpers onto the next ship bound for Singapore.

This is the story of “Grand Tour,” but it is not the half of “Grand Tour.” From the beginning, Gomes’ eccentric, puckish sensibilities are in evidence, with every beautifully rendered black-and-white, period-set interior alternating with bustling, bristling contemporary footage of the various towns and countries featured. Between 1918 and now, some of them have changed their names — Burma is now Myanmar, Siam is now Thailand — but none have changed their spirit, a fact that the seemingly reckless but actually deceptively meticulous construction makes clear.

Sometimes in color, sometimes in monochrome, with the narrators speaking the local lingo and knitting Edward and Molly’s colonial-era stories into the Asia of today, we get gorgeous on-the-fly snapshots of modern life across the continent. A rickety Rangoon ferris wheel propelled by hand (and foot). Workers untangling the wires atop Saigon’s overloaded telephone poles. Old Chinese men playing mahjong; Filipino locals riding tuktuks; Lunar New Year fireworks exploding over the Saigon skyline; a portly man in a restaurant moving himself to tears with his karaoke rendition of “My Way” before returning to his noodles, dabbing at wet eyes.

The film also has a recurring motif in the puppet shows that seemingly every culture has developed, and developed differently, as a storytelling medium. There are marionettes and paper silhouettes and two-person representations of — are they turkeys? Ostriches? Who knows? But that we always see the puppeteers as much as we see their puppets seems appropriate to the sense we get, throughout this overflowing cornucopia of worldly pleasures, of a single intelligence, a particular curiosity and a uniquely skewed sense of humor unifying so much that, in our darker moods, might seem actually to divide us.

Gomes shot this extraordinary film in an extraordinary way. Hampered by Covid-era restrictions, a lot of the modern footage — credited to three cinematographers in Rui Poças, Sayombhu Mukdeeprom and Guo Liang — was directed remotely, while the period segments, whether in bamboo forests or Raffles Hotel or aboard a ship whose captain speaks in six different languages over the mooing of a cargo hold full of cows, were creations on a sound stage. But even aside from the occasional deliberate anachronism — like a cellphone dropped in a forest when Molly is on the verge of catching up to Edward — and despite the brash collisions of stock and style, and scripted fiction and found-footage reality, “Grand Tour” is a remarkably coherent, if richly complex experience.

The rumour mill went into overdrive when Rob Rinder said ‘ friendship often does grow into love ’ in reference to his pal Rylan Clark .

Fans became convinced the Eurovision host, 35, and Rob, 45, were in a relationship having struck up a romance after filming their BBC travel series.

The duo have been gallivanting around one of the most romantic countries in the world – Italy – for their show, Rob and Rylan’s  Grand Tour .

It’s hard not to get the feels when you’re drinking an Aperol Spritz in a Venice Piazza – but apparently, the rumours are all tosh.

In fact, Rob’s description of his friendship with Rylan, posted on X, was a Lord Byron quote: ‘Friendship may, and often does, grow into love’.

He likely borrowed the phrase from the romantic poet as he and Rylan were following his and other Grand Tourists’ footsteps in Italy for the show.

Former X Factor star Rylan then poured cold water over speculation of a relationship – after a journalist approached his mum Linda, 71, to get the gossip.

He wrote on X: ‘To the journalist that just doorstepped my mum at her house, as polite as you were, please don’t. She said you was a lovely man but she’s 71 years old and it makes me feel slightly uncomfortable,’ he posted on X on Monday.

‘The answer is no. I’m not dating Rob Rinder he’s one of my closest mates.

‘Next time tweet me. Thanks.’

Rob also denied the claims at the Baftas on Sunday – joking to the Daily Mail that while they were not romantically involved, they were like an ‘old married couple.’

He said: ‘We aren’t a couple. It is what Rylan said, we are like a very old married couple, we row, laugh together and don’t have sex.’

On Thursday’s This Morning, the pair insisted again they were just friends – but not without some banter.

After presenter Ben Shephard grilled them about their relationship status, Rylan quipped: ‘Watching it back, the narrative, the arc throughout the three episodes even something as stupid as in Venice, we were in separate accommodation.

‘In Florence, we were in the same accommodation in different rooms and by Rome I’m waking up with him underneath me: “Get off of me, barrister!”

‘But that’s the narrative of the arc, we started this process as mates and we have finished it as actual genuine friends. That’s been probably the best thing to come out of it.’

In the Grand Tour, Rylan and Rob, who share the same divorce lawyer, travel to Venice, Florence and Rome.

On the show, Rylan shared that after both being through ‘painful divorces’ recently, they were each ready for the ‘next chapter’.

‘We’ve both been through painful divorces recently and are ready for the next chapter,’ says Rylan, who rose to fame on the X Factor and has since become a popular TV and radio presenter.

Rylan was previously married to Dan Neal, with the couple splitting in 2021 after six years, while Rob split from his partner, barrister Seth Cumming, in 2018.
