Bella Kidman Cruise Makes Rare Appearance At Courtney Love’s London Art Exhibit — Photos

Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman's daughter Bella made a rare public appearance at Courtney Love's art exhibit! Her work is featured in the exhibition.

Isabella Cruise made a rare public appearance at singer Courtney Love ’s art exhibit in London. The daughter of Tom Cruise and ex-wife Nicole Kidman (who now goes by Bella Kidman Cruise ), 28, attended a private showing of the exhibit at Parliament Tattoo on September 30. She wore a floral dress and stylish baker boy hat and posed for photos at the showing, as seen in photos HERE .

The exhibit celebrates the 30th anniversary of Pretty on the Inside, the 1991 debut studio album of Courtney’s rock band Hole. All of the pieces donated to the art exhibit will be auctioned Treasures Foundation , an organization that empowers women in the sex industry and survivors of sex trafficking, and Clean Break Women’s Charities , an organization that uses theater to help incarcerated women.

Bella, an artist, contributes pieces to the exhibit, which opens to the public on October 2 and 3 at Parliament Tattoo. At the private showing, Courtney was also in attendance, serving as host of the evening. On Instagram on September 17, Bella shared a promo clip of the exhibit and expressed her excitement to be part of it.

“ Is this real life? *pinches self*” the artist captioned. “I am beyond excited to be taking part in this exhibition with the incredible @courtneylove and @parliamenttattoo, to celebrate 30 years of Hole’s Pretty on the Inside. All for charity. What a dream. There are so many incredible artists contributing to this. You really won’t want to miss out.”

Bella’s Instagram page is mostly filled with her vibrant artwork. Her prints are also available to shop on her official website , where she also sells totes, pins, and clothes that feature her impressive work. Her official bio states that she has been drawing since “her wee hands could pick up a pen.”

Along with Bella, Tom and Nicole share son Connor , 26, together. The Hollywood stars were married between 1990 and 2001. Following the split, Tom went on to marry Katie Holmes in 2006, but the two separated in 2012. The duo welcomed daughter Suri , 15, in 2006, making the actor a dad of three. Nicole has since re-wed, marrying country star Keith Urban in 2006. They share kids Sunday , 13, and Faith , 10, together.

Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman were one of the biggest couples in the world when they were together. Between them they're also, how to put it, extremely rich.

So it is that you might expect daughter Bella to have set her sights on a more lavish lifestyle than her humble one in Croydon when she moved to London.

She also reportedly turned down her dad's £342,000-a-month penthouse.

Isabella Kidman Cruise, 29, has been living in South London in recent years with her British husband Max Parker and their pet reptile.

According to The Mirror, in 2020 low-profile daughter Bella refused to live at her father's £342,000-a-month penthouse in London. Tom and Nicole's adopted daughter turned her back on the spotlight, preferring life in south London over Hollywood.

Her Top Gun star dad apparently has a place at the historic Corinthia Residences in the city with four-bedrooms, an indoor pool and amazing views of the cityscape, the Mirror reports. Located just down the road from 10 Downing Street, it's in the heart of the city.

Bella and her husband Max made the move to Croydon in October 2017 to be closer to Max's parents, reports the publication. The couple had married two years earlier in 2015, a year after meeting through mutual friends. According to The Sun , neighbour, Emma, said of Bella: “I wouldn’t have known her if she’d come up and smacked me in the face. I don’t keep up with celebrity culture.

“They have a reptile of some kind — we can see the red light of the tank. That’s all anybody seems to know. She’s very mysterious. I suppose she’s decided to live out of the spotlight. I don’t know why she’s chosen Croydon, poor child!”

Tom and Nicole adopted Bella in 1992, and then three years later they adopted her biological younger brother, Connor Cruise.

Isabella Jane Cruise: What We Know About Tom Cruise & Nicole Kidman's Daughter

Coming off of the success of their earlier roles in film, Hollywood's heartthrob Tom Cruise and Australia's bombshell Nicole Kidman met on the set of "Days of Thunder" in 1990. The pair displayed a great sense of romantic chemistry on camera but their chemistry carried off camera, resulting in an 11-year-long romance. Isabella was adopted after Kidman's traumatic ectopic pregnancy

Born on December 22, 1992, Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman adopted Isabella Cruise shortly after her biological mother gave birth to her. According to the "Moulin Rouge!" actor, she knew she wanted to have babies shortly after tying the knot in 1990 (via People ). Unfortunately, her complications with pregnancy made this a difficult task. In an interview with Marie Claire in 2007, Kidman revealed that she had an ectopic pregnancy — a pregnancy that occurs outside of the uterus — at the beginning of her marriage to Tom. "It was incredibly traumatic," she told the publication. "What will be will be. It's in God's hands."

Kidman's sorrow quickly turned to optimism as she began to consider adoption. For her, there was no issue in doing so since she felt like there were no differences between raising a biological child versus an adopted one (via YouTube ). Luckily for Kidman and Tom, this worked out and they were able to hold Isabella the same day she was born. She stayed with her father following his divorce

In 2001, Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman's decade-long relationship ended. From marrying the same year they met, Kidman revealed that since they were madly in love, their divorce was a "shock to the system" (via E! News ). While it was a hard time for Kidman, the two had to cooperate as co-parents. Following their divorce, Tom and Kidman shared custody of their kids, Isabella and Connor Cruise. The sporadic nature of their split coincided with Kidman seemingly leaving Scientology — a celebrity-centric religion that garnered a bad reputation for its cult-like practices. From homeschooling to being under heavy supervision, many believe that the cause for Kidman's absence from the Cruise household is rooted in their opposing religious beliefs.

In an interview with Who Magazine , Kidman stated that while she doesn't share the same beliefs as her children, she still loves them dearly. "They are able to make their own decisions," she told the publication. "They have made choices to be Scientologists and as a mother, it's my job to love them."

An excerpt from Leah Remini's memoir "Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology" suggested that Isabella was not on good terms with her mother. Alongside her professional pursuits, Isabella Cruise seemingly built a life in London worth staying for. Although her family resides in the United States, Isabella prefers a secluded life away from intrusive photographers capturing every second of her life. In 2015, Isabella quietly got married to British I.T. consultant, Max Parker. With publications confirming the news one month after it occurred, Isabella opted for a small ceremony with only a few in attendance. Surprisingly enough, not even her parents got an invite for this momentous occasion.

The small ceremony was held at the Dorchester Hotel in London, with her parents nowhere to be found. While this stirred up questions regarding her relationship with her parents, reports state that Tom Cruise paid for the event — suggesting that he approved of the marriage. As for Nicole Kidman, she reportedly didn't know about the wedding, to begin with. Sources claim that the wedding was "Scientology-themed," which could explain the reason for her absence.

Though we're sure Tom and Kidman are happy for Isabella, it raised further questions that the public wanted answers to. In one interview, Isabella attempted to put those rumors to rest saying that she's still in touch with her parents, despite their absence from her wedding. "Of course we talk," she stated (via Hello! ). "They're my parents!"

Isabella is a certified auditor within the Church of Scientology

According to Leah Remini, Isabella Cruise's childhood heavily revolved around Scientology thanks to her father. Through this, she, Connor Cruise, and even Suri Cruise experienced years of homeschooling, Scientology-based camps, and heavy surveillance under the Church of Scientology. Despite Nicole Kidman's opposing views on the celebrity-centric religion, Isabella held on to her beliefs as she grew up. So much so, that she eventually became a certified auditor within the Church of Scientology (via People ). In Scientology, auditors are higher-ups who help others through their self-examination process — ultimately guiding them as they convert to their religious lifestyle. Given the list of responsibilities bestowed on auditors, there need to be preparations in place for those seeking the position.

According to Isabella's testimonial, she revealed that after a string of tests, she finally became an auditor. In her testimonial, she expressed her gratitude toward her father, her aunt (Catherine Cass Mapother), and the church for encouraging her to finish the training. "It turned out it was exactly what I needed," she stated (via Tony Ortega ). "I dragged out the testing and correction, just made it through the drilling and then finally began my auditing adventure, and wow, I wasn't prepared. This is what I had been searching for. The missing piece."

She named her clothing line after her mother

While Connor Cruise has multiple passions ranging from music to competitive fishing, a quick peek at Isabella Cruise's Instagram will show you that she's a person of many interests as well. Though her venture as a hairdresser seemed to be her calling, Isabella is not afraid to flex her artistic skills to her string of followers online. Aside from the occasional selfie, Isabella's feed is flooded with several dark conceptual pieces mixed with portraits of public figures, like Guy Fieri. Isabella, however, used her background in fashion to capitalize on her artistic vision.

In 2018, Isabella flexed her creative muscles when she launched a clothing line named, Bella Kidman Cruise . From T-shirts to tote bags, her online store has a wide range of self-made designs available for purchase. September 17th, 2021, marked the 30th anniversary of Hole's debut album, "Pretty on the Inside." Coming from a punk influence, the band sought to tackle a range of topics regarding self-confidence, religion, parental neglect, and most importantly, women's rights. Paired with intentional anarchic-like instrumentation, this was the band's first major success — selling over 200,000 copies in the United States. To celebrate the monumental milestone, lead singer, Courtney Love, arranged a philanthropic event at Parliament Tattoo in London in October in hopes to support Treasure Foundation and Clean Break Women's Charities — both of which are organizations that represent similar values to their album was built around.

Through this, Courtney Love invited several artists to donate their work. As an artist who resides in London, Isabella Cruise participated in the event. In light of the news, Isabella announced her involvement in the art exhibition and expressed her gratitude on Instagram . "Is this real life?" she wrote. She's seemingly not close with Suri Cruise

Tom Cruise started dating Katie Holmes in 2005. And in yet another sign she's growing up fast, Tom Cruise's 19-year-old daughter Isabella now has revealed that she has a tattoo.

The teenager was spotted with a coloured feather ink design on her forearm as she shared a PDA-filled afternoon with her boyfriend Eddie Frencher.

The young couple shared several kisses after tucking into their fast food and picking up some snacks at their local 7 Eleven.

Recently it was reported that Isabella had turned her back on her luxurious upbringing for a change of pace in Downtown Los Angeles' notorious Skid row district.

She is claimed to have moved in to a small apartment with Eddie in the seedy, crime-ridden area.

Now magazine alleges that the couple moved into the home over two months ago.

Isabella and Eddie, made their public debut at her brother Connor's birthday party in January.

They have been dating for some time but kept their relationship under wraps for months.

In an interview with New Idea magazine, Isabella rubbished allegations that she does not speak to Nicole.

The Batman Begins actor said: 'His first two children are incredible, really smart and kind. They call me Mom.'

Bella showed off her edgy shag, septum nose ring, and delicate accessories. She kept her makeup simple, wearing mascara and lipgloss. She rocked an adorable white top in the snap. Her tattoos were also on display, with what looked like a flower on her chest and various arm tattoos.

The famous exes adopted Bella, the oldest, and her brother Connor shortly after they were born in 1992 and 1995 during their 11-year marriage.

Despite rumors of estrangement, Kidman told Who Australia in 2019, “They are adults. They are able to make their own decisions ... They have made choices to be Scientologists, and as a mother, it’s my job to love them.” She continued, “I am an example of that tolerance, and that’s what I believe – that no matter what your child does, the child has love, and the child has to know there is available love, and I’m open here.”

Isabella Kidman Cruise gave followers a quick peek of herself, sharing a tense clip on Instagram while she watched the England national soccer team

Isabella "Bella" Kidman Cruise, daughter of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman , is making a rare appearance online.

On Wednesday, the 28-year-old artist, who typically sticks to sharing photos of her artwork on her Instagram account, posted a short black and white video of herself on her Instagram Story.

"My face during extra time... fingers crossed," Bella captioned it, adding an emoji of the British flag.

She and her husband Max Parker live together in London. The artist was seemingly showing support for England's national soccer team during the Euro 2020 semifinals before the team won 2-1 against Denmark in extra time.

Earlier this year, she gave followers another rare snap, posting a photo of herself bundled up in a beanie, scarf and coat as she looked into the camera. "Same face, new prints now available on the shop," she wrote in the caption .

Before that, the last time she posted a photo other than art was in August when Bella shared a shot of herself in front of a mirror wearing a black newsboy cap with a glitter Instagram filter.

"All that glitters is gold.. oh wait, it's just another Instagram filter," she captioned the post.

Bella has lived a quiet life outside the spotlight, only making headlines in 2015 for her marriage to Parker. She also launched a clothing line in February 2018 called BKC (Bella Kidman Cruise).

Cruise and Kidman are parents to Bella and her younger brother Connor, 26. The former couple divorced in 2001 and have since respected their children's privacy. A source told PEOPLE in July 2018 that Cruise "loves all his children. And each of them has a right to their own story."

When asked about her relationship with her oldest children by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association in November 2018, Kidman said, "I'm very private about all that," as reported by Australia's Who Magazine . "I have to protect all those relationships. I know 150% that I would give up my life for my children because it's what my purpose is."

Taking to Instagram Stories, the 30-year-old shared a selfie of herself from the waist up, dressed in a white blouse while relaxing on the couch at home.

Bella looked stylish with a bold makeup look, and rocked an on-trend mullet hairstyle. In the caption, she wrote: "What a summer".

Bella lives in London with her husband, Max Parker, who she has been married too since 2015. Neither Nicole or Tom were present at the wedding, reportedly unable to attend due to work commitments.

While Nicole is incredibly private when it comes to talking about her family life, particularly her oldest two children, she previously opened up about Bella and Connor following Scientology.

The Big Little Lies star was previously asked about her children's decision to follow the church, telling The Sun in 2019: "Motherhood is about the journey. There are going to be incredible peaks and valleys, whether you are an adopting mother or a birth mother. What a child needs is love. "They have made choices to be Scientologists. It’s our job as a parent to always offer unconditional love."

Tom and Nicole adopted Bella and younger brother Connor during their 11-year marriage, which lasted from 1990 until 2001.

While the artist often shares her work with her social media followers, she doesn't upload pictures of herself as frequently. In fact, her last selfie appeared to be in March, when she gave a peek at her new ‘do . And while fans are used to seeing Bella's parents up on the big screen, she seems to prefer staying out of the limelight—with her last public appearance being in 2021 when she attended an art exhibition in London hosted by Courtney Love .

Nicole and Tom are also protective when it comes to the privacy of Bella and her 28-year-old brother Connor Cruise —who the stars adopted while they were married from 1990 to 2001—and have said little about them publicly.

Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman’s 28-year-old daughter Isabella shared a rare video of herself in a post to her Instagram Story on Wednesday.

The artist, who goes by the name Bella, posted a clip of herself while watching England play in the Euro 2020 match.

“My face during extra time…fingers crossed,” she captioned the short black-and-white video along with an emoji of England’s flag.

In the post, Bella was seen wearing a graphic T-shirt and a nose ring. She was also rocking curly hair with her winged eyeliner look.

The daughter of Cruise and Kidman has historically been quite private about sharing photos of herself and mainly posts snaps of her art to her social media page. However, every now and then she has shared a photo of herself to her page.

In February, she shared a selfie to her Instagram during a snowy winter day where she appeared bundled up in a hat and scarf.

And in May 2020, she posted a photo of herself that revealed her many arm tattoos, which include a small pineapple.

Cruise, 59, and Kidman, 54, were married from 1990 to 2001 and share two kids together: Bella and 26-year-old Connor.

Connor, who is slightly more active on social media than his sister, also posted a selfie this week and shared a snap of himself at the Stanley Cup final hockey game to his Instagram Story on Wednesday.

The “Big Little Lies” actress also shares two kids with her second husband, Keith Urban.

Meanwhile, the “Top Gun” actor shares daughter Suri, 15, with ex-wife Katie Holmes, whom he was married to from 2006 to 2012. Cruise was also married to Mimi Rogers from 1987 to 1990, though they have no children together.

As time went by, the kids slowly faded away from the spotlight and due to the speech snub, it looked like even their mother had a hard time remembering them. So what happened to their first child Isabella Cruise. Let us find out.

Early Beginnings

Isabella Jane Cruise was born on December 22, 1992, in Florida, USA. Isabella’s birth mother was also a Scientologist who already had two kids and could not afford to raise another child. According to Daily Mail, the church of Scientology helped to connect the mother with Tom and Nicole. Upon moments after the delivery, the infant was placed right into Nicole’s arms and Tom reportedly stayed up all night just to watch his baby daughter breathe. After the court proceeding, Isabella was legally adopted by the couple. Almost two years later, Isabella became the big sister of Connor Cruise who was also adopted by her parents. The siblings were raised with little exposure to the public eye and the times the family would be photographed were even less.

The couple loved being new parents and would take their children along with themselves whenever possible. The family has been photographed while visiting Kidman’s home country Australia to spend family holidays in 1996. During the filming of the movie ‘Eyes Wide Shut’ directed by Stanley Kubrick that starred both Nicole and Tom, their children spent nearly three years in a rented house in England

As for her education, she reportedly did two years of an art degree before opting for a hairdressing diploma with Vidal Sassoon. She then went up to sign up at Delamar Academy of Make-up and Hair at Ealing Studios with the intention of becoming a make-up artist.

Divorce of the Parents

After almost 12 years of marriage, Isabella’s parents Tom and Nicole got separated in February 2001 citing pressures from work. Their divorce was very abrupt and kind of messy as the court documents revealed that Kidman was completely blindsided with the news of the divorce as it came without a warning. Tom reportedly refused any discussion regarding a possible solution or couple therapy instead went on to inform the media within 24 hours.

Many believed that Scientology came between the couple since the church had been upset with Nicole after she left the church within two years of joining. The church was deeply involved with the relationship of the couple and even managed to turn her own children against her.

The custody of the children was decided to be 50/50 but the children choose to be with their father. After the divorce, the Cruise siblings were relatively absent from the media spotlight that used to hover around them during their earlier years.

Being a devout Scientologist

It is a well-known fact that Isabella’s father Tom Cruise is an outspoken advocate for the Church of Scientology since 1990 when his first wife Mimi Rogers introduced him to it. Years later, it was revealed that in the honeymoon period of the couple’s marriage, even Nicole Kidman was enthusiastic about joining and learning more about the controversial church. Nicole reportedly felt the need to be a good wife to Cruise and wanted to understand his religious belief despite being a catholic since birth. With a father with such beliefs, it’s no wonder that his children would also follow his path of faith.

Both Isabella and her brother have been deeply involved with scientology since their childhood. While her brother Connor has largely started to focus on other things, Bella on the other hand became more and more involved with the church that ultimately satisfied her father very much. Apparently, she is being groomed to become a scientology superstar who has so-called superpowers just like her father. She completed her super power course and is gradually rising up in the organization. She is also believed to be working as an auditor for the church which requires her to ask participants questions and monitor their responses through E-meter.

Career Success

Isabella Cruise chose art school at the beginning of her higher studies because she dreamt of being a screenwriter. But eventually thought about pursuing a career in makeup and hair styling. She had little luck in that field too.

After her father’s marriage with actress Katie Holmes, she became very close to her and ultimately started working at Holmes’ clothing line. But following the divorce of Holmes and Cruise, Bella was apparently fired from her job. Her firing process happened too soon that none knows what went wrong with them.

According to different reports, Isabella has now started her own fashion company ‘BKC’ that stands for Bella Kidman Cruise. In 2018, her company dropped a t-shirt line.

Her Personal Life

While her brother Connar did not totally hide from the media, Bella went off the radar for a long time. She reportedly is a very private person and enjoys her life away from the glitz and glamour of Hollywood.

In September 2015, Isabella Cruise married her one year long boyfriend Max Parker, an IT consultant, at Dorchester Hotel in London. None of her immediate family members were present on her wedding day. Apparently, she did not even inform her mother that she was going to get married. The ceremony completed with scientology beliefs so the idea of having her mother there was not something she was very fond of. Tom, however, despite his absence in the ceremony paid the bills for the wedding. As far as we know, her husband is not a Scientologist but there are high chances of him converting to it one day.

Bella also has a tattoo on her arm. She has a private Instagram account with 959 followers. Her net worth is estimated to be somewhere between 1 and 5 million US dollars.

Relationship with her mother: Nicole

After the divorce of her parents, the one who suffered the most would probably be Bella’s mother, Nicole. Not only did the divorce come as a surprise to her, her own kids seemed to be growing distant from her.

After the divorce, Nicole immersed herself into work and became one of the ondemand actresses. She even got her first Academy Award in 2003 for the movie The Hours. Bella accompanied her mother to the award ceremony and Nicole in her acceptance speech acknowledged Bella and said that she wants to make her daughter Bella proud.

As time went by, Nicole got more busy and would not be able to meet the children who were growing up in the environment of Scientology. Their timing of meeting one another seemed to clash a lot but they try to make up for their lost times. Bella even was a bridesmaid in her mother’s second wedding to country singer Kieth Urban in 2006.

The last time the mother-daughter was photographed together was probably in 2007. Their relationship seemed to be gradually strained. According to former Scientologist Leah Remini who encountered the Cruise siblings in 2006 at their father’s wedding to Katie Holmes, mentioned in her book that Bella considered her mother to be a suppressive person. Remini recalled the conversation:

“When I asked if she talked to her Mum, Bella scoffed and said, ‘Not if I can help it, she’s a f*****g SP’. Connor just looked out the window. There was something human about his silence and the sadness I felt in it.”

A suppressive person in terms of Scientology is someone who will “goof up or vilify any effort to help anybody and particularly knife with violence anything calculated to make human beings more powerful or more intelligent.” in simple terms someone who does not support Scientology.

The children reportedly stopped calling Nicole ‘Mum’ rather starting calling her by her name. They also started calling their father’s new wife Katie Holmes ‘mom’. According to various reports, Isabella and Nicole have not met each other for many years. Some say they do talk with each other on phones but there is always a lack of intimacy between them.

Repairing the Broken Relationship

As far as anyone concerned, we might never know the full story behind what really is happening to Nicole Kidman and her older children. She might be in her happy place now but there are still broken things in her life that she needs to mend slowly. Many claimed that her children were taken by her ex-husband and his faith but now since they are adults, they would know what is best for them.

While she might have failed to acknowledge her kids in her Golden Globe acceptance speech, she did redeemed herself by thanking all of her kids for loving her in another award ceremony.

Nicole is looking for opportunities to reconnect with her children and there are sources who mentioned that the number of their contacts has started increasing. She is proud of children regardless of what faith they believe in and we can only hope that the children and the mother would be able to reconnect at some point in their life.

Finding images of Tom Cruise’s adopted daughter is usually a mission impossible — until now.

Isabella “Bella” Kidman Cruise made a rare social media appearance on Sunday, Sept. 17, when she shared a selfie on her Instagram .

In the carefree picture captioned “What a summer,” the 30-year-old looks coyly at the camera. Donning a simple white top with a cute bow decorating her décolletage, the brunette shows off her appreciation of jewelry wearing a number of gold necklaces around her neck and a gold ring in her nose.

Bella, an artist, normally shares images of work with her nearly 52,000 followers.

According to her website , “Bella has been drawing ever since her wee hands could pick up a pen. Since that point in time she’s been evolving in her arts.”

Bella sells her work on reasonably priced totes, pins and limited edition prints. “Her go-to medium was pen and paper for most of her life,” the site explains. “However, she is now venturing into other formats and mediums. Including digital. Which has been a bit of a game changer in her opinion.”

Bella was adopted by Cruise, 60, and Nicole Kidman, 55, in 1992 after the couple married in 1990. The Hollywood pair also share a son Connor, 28.

Bella and Conor have chosen to stay mostly out of the limelight and in the past their superstar parents have chosen to keep their children’s lives out of the public eye as well.

“I’m very private about all that,” the Academy Award-winning actress told Australian outlet Who in 2018. “I have to protect all those relationships. I know 150 per cent that I would give up my life for my children because it’s what my purpose is.”

Kidman is set to be awarded the Life Achievement Award at the The American Film Institute (AFI) ceremony on June 10, but it is rumored that Connor and Bella may not be in attendance although they have both been invited.

“Nicole knows Connor is extremely loyal to his dad so she doesn’t expect him to come, but the invitation is there for both of them,” an alleged source tells New Idea . ‘It’s an event they have every right to celebrate along with the rest of Nicole’s family.”

The source added: “Nicole is trying to limit her expectations, but is clinging to hope Bella might make it.”

Also set to be in attendance at the ceremony are Kidman’s two daughters Sunday, 14, and Faith, 12, whom she shares with her husband Keith Urban.

I have been to Moscow many times, but never as part of a cruise. Was recently on a Baltics cruise and spoke to people who had - it takes it out of them as it was a super long day. In fact they got home so late that third day they slept in and had "sea day" at port.

There is so much to see in Moscow, I it should be a land trip and there are many nice hotels on which you can stay. It is really a 3 day experience. Having said that, if there is not much else you want to see in St Petersburg, and you don't think you will get back to Russia by land, it is a very interesting city with much to do. You will skim the surface, but will enjoy. I would only do if you had limited or no plans in St Petersburg - especially the day after as you return very late at night.

If you do not go, there are many not so well known things to do in SP. The Russian Museum is fascinating for example as is Yuspov Palace. The military museums and sights are interesting as well.

Whatever you decide to do you will have a great time!

Doing a "day-trip" from St. Petersburg to Moscow and back can work well. We did that trip in 2008 with Crystal. Having sailed in the Greek Islands in 2006 with Seabourn on our first cruise, I am sure that the quality would be similar with your cruise line. One change now would be the use of the high-speed train in place of flying back and forth as we did in 2008. Here are more details to consider:

Having three days in St. Petersburg allows enough time to do BOTH in seeing Moscow and going to other places near where your ship is docked. Only a few of the better lines, such as Seabourn and Crystal, have that type of schedule. We used in 2008 the main schedule airline, Rossiya Russian Airlines, for this trip. That line is now part of Aeroflot. The train trip takes long, but lessens some of the added time needed going out to the airport and the train gets you closer to the central part of Moscow.

I'll offer up some added background, along with various pro/con factors for your consideration. My wife thought it was lots of money, but she viewed it as very much worth it after completing the trip as a "once in a lifetime" experience.

CON FACTORS : It's a long day! Leave the ship about 8 am (greeted by a small welcoming band dockside); lots of driving and traffic; get back by return flight to the St. Petersburg airport around midnight and back to the ship a little before 1 am. The cost through Crystal Cruises was not cheap, but it does include everything, including all bus transfers, your jet air flights on regularly schedule commercial airlines, lunch on the bus, dinner in a nice/historic club/restaurant, admissions, etc., etc. Moscow is a super large city of about ten million people. There has been huge growth in the suburbs of this city during the past decades or so. Traffic and time from the airport to the main downtown takes about an hour. You can get a good feel as you travel into town through the coach windows about the “new Moscow” with its suburban growth, commerce, advertising, capitalism, etc.

PRO FACTORS : Moscow has its unique history, sights and sites, from Ivan the Terrible up through Lenin, Stalin and the new Russian leaders of today. After a long ride in from the airport on the outer edge of this large metro areas of 17.3 million (with 10.5 million in the city), we stopped at a new hotel for coffee/tea/break. Then, we rode the Moscow subway and saw a couple of their very unique and artistic stations. Stalin at the time called these stations “People’s Palaces”. This Moscow Metro was first opened in 1935 and now has 182 stations, 12 different lines,187 miles of routes and carries seven million passengers each weekday. It’s the world second busiest subway system. This subway ride offered a good sampling of real life for people who live and work in Moscow. We then saw more key places enroute, including the home of the Bolshoy Ballet, KGB Headquarters, various Stalin era buildings, etc. Then we went to the Kremlin with its 19 historic towers. WOW, we were really there!

Inside the Kremlin are three key “super stars”. First, was the State Armoury with its spectacular Faberge Eggs, plus so many carriages, crowns, gowns, jewels, etc. Second are the various historic Cathedrals within the Kremlin Walls, plus the Tower Bells, Icon art, etc. This includes the Cathedral of the Annunciation built in the 1480’s and having such spectacular wall murals and icons. Third, was the Great Kremlin Palace with its spectacular reception halls, inlaid wood floors, gold and more gold, fancy ceilings, etc. The Czars were crowned here, plus the current heads of the Russian government, etc. You might check whether your cruise trip will take you insider here. The size and scale of these areas are hard to describe in words, let alone reflect and capture the history that has happened in some of these rooms dating back to the late 1400’s. We have seen lots of great palaces all over Europe, but this is something above and beyond for the eyes, heart and brain.

Then, we saw more building inside the walls of the Kremlin. We went outside of the Kremlin Walls and walked next door to adjoining Red Square, seeing St. Basil’s and the re-done Gum Department Store. Red Square is so historic, especially having grown up seeing the military May Day parades there, visuals of Lenin’s Tomb, etc. Have the words “spectacular” and historic been used too much? Maybe, but it fits for many of these unique places. St. Basil’s was built 1555–1561 on the order of Ivan IV (the Terrible). It was the tallest building in Moscow until the completion of the Ivan the Great Bell Tower (266 feet tall) in 1600 inside the Kremlin Walls. To be able to “CONTRAST” and compare Moscow and St. Petersburg during these three short days adds to the benefits of seeing both of these great Russian capital cities. Each is a very different and special city.

We finished with dinner in the Central Writers’ Club, a one hundred years old mansion made into a restaurant with crystal chandeliers, rich wood panelling, fireplaces, and antique balustrades. Finally, we drove back to the airport, passing many of the new suburban commercial development with big box stores and luxury housing, etc.

Is one day too short and limited? YES! You can, however, do and see lots in only that one short day. You get a small sampling above. How often do you get to Russia? The Cold War might not come back in full force, but there are going to be increasing and revisited tensions in future years involving Russia and getting access there. The major cruise lines have done this tour many times and has its details down well and timing perfected. Let me know any questions, thoughts or reactions.

Walking on the famed Red Square of Moscow:

This is the interior for Moscow's most historic church, Assumption Cathedral or the Cathedral of the Dormition, inside the Kremlin walls. It is the mother church of Muscovite Russia. The church stands on Cathedral Square and was built in 1475–1479 by the Italian architect Aristotele Fioravanti. It was erected on the spot of an older 14th century cathedral of the same name:

Kazan Cathedral sits on the northeast corner of Red Square in Moscow. The current building is a reconstruction of the original church which was destroyed at the direction of Joseph Stalin in 1936. The original church was erected as a shrine in the early 1630s to mark the city's liberation from the Polish aggressors. After the Soviet Union’s fall, this was the first church to be completely rebuilt. The cathedral's restoration (1990–1993) was based on the detailed measurements and photographs of the original church:

St. Basil's sits on Red Square and dates back to its 1555-61 construction on the orders of Ivan the Terrible (Ivan IV). It commemorates the capture of Kazan and Astrakhan and marks the geometric center of the city. This location has been the hub of its growth for Moscow since the 14th century. It was the tallest building in Moscow until the completion of the Ivan the Great Bell Tower in 1600. This church was near destroyed in the 1930’s when Stalin was in control.:

We did it with Regent several years ago. We were also docked in St Petersburg for 3 days. We flew to Moscow though. Not sure how long the high speed train takes, but until you get to the airport, through security and your flight leaves it may be the same. It was a great day. I wouldn't have wanted to miss it. We got back about 11 and they had a special dinner waiting for those of us on this excursion. Really did get to see the highlights of Moscow as well as a fabulous lunch.

I did the day trip to Moscow several years ago with Seabourn. Normally, I would never undertake such a grueling day but it was my third time in St. Petersburg and I had seen everything I wanted so I thought why not? It turned out to be a highlight of the trip. Yes, it was a long day but who cares. The day is just as long if you stay on board. Seabourn handled the whole thing extremely well from the flights to the guides to the meals to the private sightseeing. We saw and experienced so much in that one day that I felt I had been there for two or three. Is it better to go and spend a few days? Of course! But if that is not an option and you're not sure if you'll ever get there on your own I think it's a great thing to do.

Everything I said though is only for those who have been to St. Petersburg before. If it's your first time you'll need every minute of those three days there to see even a fraction of what there is to see.

As much as I would like to take an extended tour of Moscow/Russia someday, I've learned that you never know what the future holds and not to let a good opportuity pass you by. Like you, we did the Moscow trip after a couple of trips to St Petersburg. Wouldn't have missed it for the world- totally different feel from SP, or anywhere else in the world. For those of us who lived through the cold war, it brought to life the spy novels I have read all my life.

We were on the Sojourn July/August 2012. We did a private day trip to Moscow using SPB tours via high speed train on our 2nd day in ST P. They picked us up from the ship around 5:30 am and dropped us off at the rail station, and we met our tour guide and a driver for the two of us at the Moscow rail station. It took 4 hours each way for the train, but it went from city center to city center, and it seemed to go by relatively quickly. We had a great time in Moscow- seeing the highlights as described on the tour itinerary, and we could customize it. There seemed to be little English spoken in Moscow, people not as friendly as in St P, and the traffic was horrible. I was actually glad to get back to St P( at around midnight).

It was a busy day, but that didn't stop us from a full day of touring before and after the Moscow trip on private tours by SPB tours. It was quite expensive, but I'm glad we went- and I really have no desire to go back.

Years ago we did a land tour of Russia, so got to spend about 5 days in both Moscow and St Petersburg. I actually like Moscow more than St Petersburg. We have also done a Baltic cruise on Seabourn, so have had another 3 days in St Petersburg, so NEXT time we will certainly do the day tour to Moscow. I would also prefer to do it the way they do now, by train, would have been dubious about a Russian "domestic" flight. ;)

I'd take my chances on a domestic flight with their new fancy Boeing planes (or even an odd Ilyushin). The train was a less than stellar experience. Four hours each way in a straight backed non reclining seat. Some of them had another passenger about 24" in front of you, facing you - so no sticking your legs out. Further they didn't seem to believe in AC so the car just got hotter and hotter. Moscow itself was great, I found it particularly amusing that right across from Red Square they had a capitalist pig-dog mall filled with luxury American and European brands.

Following is a description and personal review of the Seabourn Cruise - St. Petersburg -shore excursion: “MOSCOW BY TRAIN & THE MYSTERIOUS KREMLIN”

On June 18, 2012 – my wife and I participated in the Seabourn Pride’s Moscow Excursion along with 12 other passengers and 2 guides. Most of us had room service breakfast at 4:30am, crossed the flooded river outside Russian Customs and met the bus @ 5:30am for a transfer to the St. Petersburg Train Station. The high speed train (mostly at 130-140 MPH) left the station at 6:30am and arrived in Moscow at 10:15am. The train ride was uneventful and a box snack was provided.

In Moscow, we were met by the local guide and a full size bus. We drove into and around central Moscow for about 30 min. – buildings and sights are interesting, but do not compare to the historical & decorative buildings of St. Petersburg. We then took a Metro (subway) ride in Moscow. The metro is interesting, but not as impressive as St. Petersburg’s. (You will notice that throughout this review, I state that St. Petersburg is better than Moscow, which is true of everything except for the Kremlin, which holds its own and should be the main purpose of this excursion.) (Seabourn states that the Kremlin is closed on Thursday – THEREFORE, DO NOT TAKE THIS TOUR ON THURSDAY.)

After driving around Moscow again to view several areas from the bus, we visited the Kremlin , which is a very large wall enclosed fortress with hundreds of buildings, churches, monuments, fortress walls with many towers/etc. After a long walk (many long walks to come) at an OLYMPIC SPEED PACE (You will walk fast to see everything in the allotted time). We started with the “Armory” museum which was very good and I do not normally like museums. There are rooms with royalty gowns, Czars’ crowns, royalty carriages, suits of amour and weapons, jewel covered bibles, Faberge Eggs, etc. – basically Royal Treasures. From here we walked to the “Churches Square” with It’s 17 churches. We entered the Annunciation Cathedral where most all the Czars were crowned. Outside - took pictures of the largest BELL in the world that has never been rung and the largest CANNON that has never been fired. Took pictures of government buildings and the President’s Palace.

At about 1:45pm, we walked back to the bus for a short ride to a very prestigious restaurant (and it was) for a four course late-lunch with an excellent French Bordeaux.

After lunch, we visited the very large Red Square @ 3:15pm for a tour of “St. Basil’s Cathedral” which was beautiful and very interesting with its many Onion Domes – but I liked St. Petersburg’s “Church on the Spilled Blood” better. We were able to see the front of the Lenin’s Tomb , but it was closed. At the other end of the Square was a beautiful museum and very nice smaller church where recorded services were being played.

We had 45 min. on our own to walk around the Square and after another long fast walk back to our bus, we proceeded to the train station for a 7:45pm departure back to St. Petersburg. A snack and drink was provided. Arriving in St. Petersburg at 11:30pm, with the sun just beginning to set (the mid-night sun), we proceeded to the ship – 18 hour tour/ 21 hour day.

Summary: Is the tour worth $1,000 per person – only if it is important to see Moscow once in your lifetime. See St. Petersburg first ; tour has extensive walking at a very fast pace; you will be going to Moscow to see the Kremlin which is historical and beautiful.

Tom Cruise’s estranged daughter Suri, 18, shares big announcement in rare statement

Suri Cruise has announced the next big step in her life as she’s set to attend the prestigious Carnegie Mellon University in September.

Suri , 18, the daughter of Hollywood icons Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, revealed the news in a rare TikTok post where she and a group of friends each wore a sweatshirt from their chosen college.

The video, set to the tune of Abbi Sutphen’s Always Remember You, has the caption: ‘LaG commitment day.’

Carnegie Mellon’s School of Design is one of the oldest and most highly ranked programs in the US, and it’s believed the 18-year-old is leaning towards studying fashion .

‘She is a smart girl, and she is turning into a very intelligent mature young woman,’ an insider told the Daily Mail .

‘She has a very close group of loyal friends, and she knows exactly where she comes from.’

Top Gun icon Tom, 61, and Dawson’s Creek’s Katie, 45, welcomed Suri on April 18, 2006, the anniversary of their first date.

Suri is reportedly extremely close to her mum, but it’s believed she hasn’t seen her dad for 11 years .

It’s claimed that the Mission Impossible actor helps his daughter financially, but no longer sees her after he and Katie divorced in 2012 and she left the Church of Scientology.

Tom also has two children from his marriage to Nicole Kidman – Isabella, 31, and Connor, 29 – who he is believed to see regularly and are both members of the Scientology church .

Their divorce settlement stated that the actor agreed to pay his ex-wife $400,000 (£314,200) a year until Suri turned 18, and he will pay for all her college fees.

The agreement states that although he might not see his daughter, he has to cover ‘medical, dental, insurance, education, college and other extracurricular costs.’

Around the time of the divorce was the last time Tom was publicly pictured with Suri, taking her to Disney World in 2012.

At the time, a spokesperson said: ‘Kate has filed for divorce and Tom is deeply saddened and is concentrating on his three children.’

It’s reported that Tom has not seen Suri in the 10 years since, with the pair being no contact for the last three years.

A source told Heat magazine: ‘Tom is feeling guilty about missing so much of her life, but insists that he hasn’t completely shut Suri out of his life, and does get updates from time to time.’

Katie has not commented on Tom’s relationship with their daughter and has stressed the importance of allowing Suri to maintain her privacy.
