How to Fast Travel in NBA 2K22 in MyCareer & The City

NBA 2K22 is more advanced than any 2K title we have ever seen.

As a result, there are a lot of places to visit when you're out and about in the City or MyCareer, which means you are away from home for the majority of the time.

But every now and again, you need to get back for something important and that is where the ability to fast travel can be ever so valuable. Here is how to unlock it.

How To Unlock Fast Travel In NBA 2K22

As is the case with any of the perks in NBA 2K22, you will have to earn it in order to be able to use it.

But as far as unlocking the fast travel ability is concerned, it couldn't be easier.

All you have to do is head to MyCAREER and once you are loaded in, you need to speak to the two Non Playable Characters (NPCs). You won't need to go looking for them, as they are found almost instantaneously when you begin your career.

After a brief chat with regards to whether you fancy plying your trade in the G League or going down the College route, you will unlock the ability to fast travel. It's as simple as that.

How To Use Fast Travel In NBA 2K22

Utilising the ability is very straightforward. All you need to do in order to be taken back to your home is hold down the R1/RT button and then select to fast travel back home.

Currently you can only use the feature to travel back to your home, although this may change in the future.

NBA 2K22 brings back The City yet again within its MyCareer mode that includes a large area for you to explore, which will have players wondering how to unlock fast travel to save themselves some time.

The City made its debut in last year's NBA 2K game as an evolution of The Neighborhood, though this time much larger than ever before. With plenty of quests to complete, such as finding Jake from State Farm , getting around the map quicker can be a big help.

To make travel around The City much easier, there is an ability to fast travel, though you have to work to unlock the majority of it.

How To Unlock Fast Travel To Your Apartment In NBA 2K22

Your apartment is essentially your hub in NBA 2K22's Career Mode, which you will consistently be traveling back and forth to while playing.

The good news here is that right out of the gate, you will have access to fast travel in NBA 2K22. The bad news, however, is that you are limited in where you can go.

While anywhere in The City, you can press R1 or the respective button on other platforms to bring up a fast travel option, which will ask you if you would like to fast travel back to your apartment. This is the only "fast travel" location in the game, but thankfully you can unlock something known as Spawn Points as well.

What Are Spawn Points And How To Unlock Them

Spawn Points are essentially a form of fast travel that you can unlock in NBA 2K22, but it is going to take a while for you to get access to them.

To unlock Spawn Points, you will need to complete a certain quest, which starts by going to the NBA Store near the center of the map. Once there, go down a nearby alley to find an NPC named ATM that you need to speak with.

ATM will give you quests to complete, so do whatever he asks until he eventually gives you one called "Unlock Spawn Location." This one is going to be easier said than done though, as it requires you to walk 26.2 miles in the game.

Riding on a skateboard or anything does not count, as only walking and running on foot counts towards the total. In addition, this counter doesn't start until you get the quest, so prepare to do a lot of walking.

There's really no quick way to do this, so just walk around if you want to complete it or let it eventually add up while you are completing other quests.

Once you finally hit the 26.2 mile mark, you will unlock custom Spawn Points that will show up on the map that will allow you to select them. Pick the one that you want to go to and then quit out to the main menu. Now reload MyCareer and it will start you at your near Spawn Point.

While not quite as efficient as the true fast travel to your apartment time-wise in NBA 2K22, loading is very quick on next-gen platforms, which should be much faster than traveling directly.

How to Fast Travel in The City in NBA 2K23

If you’re looking to make your way around  The City in  NBA 2K23 quickly and efficiently, you may instinctively jump to the map as soon as possible. In most games, you’ll be able to select some form of Fast Travel  option directly on it, but if you’re looking to get around this bustling metropolitan area, you’re going to need to find a different way to make this happen.

Let’s see what you’re going to have to do to get from one side of the city to the other in record time, as sometimes, a  Skateboard, Bike, or G0-Kart just won’t cut it. If you’re looking to Fast Travel, this is what you’ll need to do to make that happen in NBA 2K23!

How To Use Fast Travel Stations In NBA 2K23

If you’re looking to get around quickly, you’re going to need to find a  Fast Travel Station , also known as a  Subway . With the amount of branding that is in this game, you could have easily mistaken this as a fast food join t , but this is the real deal, and it will make traveling around much more accessible than ever before.

There are a few different options for finding a subway near you, and one of them is going to be much easier than the other. If you need to find out exactly where you’re going before you get there, you may want to pop open the map and scope out what is going to be around the area that you’re planning on getting off at, but if you just need to get somewhere fast to meet up with friends, you can find the nearest subway with a button press .

That’s right if you hit the R1 on PlayStation, RB on Xbox, or R on Nintendo Switch , you’ll instantly lock on to the subway station that is closest to you, and you’ll be able to make a run for it so you can get to your next destination quickly. This helps keep  The City  flowing, and rather than just appearing at a spot on the map, you’ll actually have to physically run down the stairs into the subway tunnel, and then you’ll be able to select where you’re going to go.

That’s all there is to it! If you’re looking to get to the  West Mall Station quickly so you can deck your character out in the  freshest threads in the game , or if you need to get closer to a quest, this is going to be the easiest way to make this happen. Players can move from park to park with ease this year

The release date of NBA 2K22 is right around the corner and we're getting pumped up now that we've learned more about The City.

Although it's a next gen exclusive, we're still excited to check out some of the brand new features being brought to the game. The most recent, a brand new way to fast travel.

Let's kick off our walking shoes and learn about the new way to move in NBA 2K22 The City.

How to fast travel in The City

Moving throughout The City is about to get a lot easier. After a series of leaks via @2KIntel , we now know that you'll be able to fast travel between parks in The City via subway!

For now, we assume this is going to only be from park to park, so don't toss out the skateboard just yet. However, when traveling on this huge map, a fast travel system is going to be crucial.

Just by taking a quick glimpse at the map you can see how far apart everything is and being able to jump between parks with ease will help you grind out games.

Fast travel between more than just parks?

What we're hoping for, considering The City in NBA 2K22 is going to be much larger than NBA 2K21, is fast travel between notable locations.

We know that we'll be able to move between parks, but what about between Quests? Maybe a way to fast travel close to your MyPLAYER penthouse apartment when you become MVP of The City?

• VC Sports Management

How to Fast Travel in NBA 2K22

NBA 2K22 adds a number of new additions to the popular basketball title. One of the more interesting and welcome additions is the ability to fast travel. This new ability is very useful for players to use when they are out in The City. To learn how to fast travel in NBA 2K22 see our guide below.

Using Fast Travel

You unlock the ability to fast travel in NBA 2K22 fairly early in the MyCAREER mode. Once you’ve spoken to both NPCs regarding going to either the G League or College the option to fast travel will appear. Using this option is very simple. There is a button you can press to be taken back to your apartment. On consoles the button is R1. Pressing the Fast Travel button makes the prompt shown above appear. Select Yes to go to your apartment’s front door.

The fast travel system only works for taking you back to your apartment. If you are wanting to cover distance in The City you will need to use the new methods of travel. These methods include a skateboard, bike, and other interesting ways of getting around.

That’s all you need to know about the Fast Travel system in NBA 2K22 . This new system allows you to quickly return to your apartment if you have a quest or NPC to visit with.

Hello to everyone out there in our incredible NBA 2K community! I’m Erick Boenisch, Executive Producer and VP, NBA Development here at Visual Concepts. Can you believe how close we are to the launch of NBA 2K23? I couldn’t be more excited for all of you to finally get your hands on the incredible work the team here at Visual Concepts has put into our MyCAREER and City experiences! We’ve already unleashed a tremendous amount of information on upgrades to NBA 2K23. GAMEPLAY ENHANCEMENTS

JORDAN CHALLENGE

The City, born in NBA 2K21 and only available in NBA 2K23 for New Gen consoles, set out to bring together a larger community and to surface competition amongst groups in ways we had yet to truly achieve. NBA 2K22 saw a number of improvements, specifically with the seamless integration of MyCAREER mode. NBA 2K23 takes the City in a very new direction based entirely on the feedback from you, our community!

One of the main pieces of feedback we heard from 2K22’s City was the long traversal times when you had to run or skateboard incredibly long distances to make progress in your career or to venture between each of the affiliation court areas. We chose to tackle this community feedback in two complementary ways that I know you will appreciate:

• NBA 2K23’s City is approximately 30 percent smaller in comparison to what you traversed in NBA 2K22. This allows for a tighter, more meaningful City with less unused buildings that served to increase distances between destinations.
• Fast Travel! Scattered around NBA 2K23’s City are Subway Stations that you can hop into any time you want to quickly jump around the City. Finding the nearest Fast Travel station is easy, no matter where you are. Simply press R1 on your PlayStation®5 controller and we will place a ping on the nearest one and guide you directly to it. Once you are there, you can select to instantly travel to any other Fast Travel location in the City. Traveling is instantaneous; there is literally no loading at all!

Feedback from our community is the single most important way we can work together to grow the game into what we all want it to be. It’s important to me that everyone knows that we both hear and actively seek feedback to improve the NBA 2K experience. And speaking of improving the NBA 2K experience, let’s dive into what makes NBA 2K23’s City the best iteration yet, by far! 

AFFILIATION BOROUGHS

I’m sure you’re already looking at the screenshots below, and I don’t blame you. In NBA 2K23, we retired the nooks in the corners of the City that represented an affiliation’s ‘home base’. The non-descript areas served us well in NBA 2K22 with unique urban designs that integrated seamlessly into the landscape of The City. This year, though, we have created thematic destinations that really touch upon the true essence of what those communities represent. Let’s speak no more and dive right in to where you’ll be spending your time playing this year: 

South City Vipers

Taking inspiration from a sprawling jungle setting, the new Vipers affiliation area transports your senses to another world. It’s impossible to miss the centerpiece of the area, a giant temple flanked by two towering Viper statues, each with water streaming out of their mouths and crashing into the pools below. As you move around, you’ll hear the sounds of the jungle, the birds in the trees, and encounter numerous other locations, including bonfires, a village with huts (one of which is where you can equip your MyPLAYER with Vipers gear), a crashed plane that is now becoming one with the environment, and ponds that dot the terrain and surround the court areas.

North Side Knights

Prepare to be whisked away back to the Middle Ages as you trudge up the dirt path and cross the draw bridge into the new home for the North Side Knights in NBA 2K23. This year, the Knights will be playing in a castle setting complete with everything you would expect in such an environment. The baskets and stanchions are elaborately designed wooden structures, coats of arms surround the castle, and wall-mounted torches will guide your way at night in concert with the warm glow of the lights placed around the courts. One of my personal favorite times of day in the castle is around 6PM (in-game time) when the setting sun crests over the looming castle turrets and it casts a golden glow across the entirety of the playing area. The technology behind our visual improvements in the City this year are astounding, and this is one way you can really see that progress.

Western Wildcats

Taking the pathway from the City proper and entering the all-new Wildcats borough is such a contrast as the landscape quickly changes. Set inside a scenic canyon vista, you will instantly get vibes of being in a semi-desert landscape under the blazing hot sun. Defined by its sparse landscape, the Wildcats borough is anchored by a giant pillar right in the middle of the canyon. Surrounding the pillar are plateaus featuring a number of playable courts and any plant life that can survive in this climate, primarily low-lying bushes and succulents. The courts themselves feature rudimentary baskets to fit the environment; cylindrical posts dug into the ground with aging wooden backboards with chain nets mounted to them. Make your way to the highest plateau in the borough and turn around to be treated to one of my favorite views in the City.  Creeping up over the steep canyon walls, you will see the tops of the tallest buildings the City has to offer, including the all-new Pink Diamond Plaza (which looks even better at night!). It really helps to understand the scope of the City and the work the team has done this year to make each and every location feel completely, 100 percent unique!

Beasts of the East

Set inside the caldera of a once dormant volcano, the Beasts will be cranking up the heat in NBA 2K23 in their home grounds. The entrance to the park has hints of being idyllic with its luscious grove of palms and beach-like sand. This environment quickly gives way to the now active portion of the landscape, where you will find molten lava dotted walls, cracks, and fissures. The red glow of the lava is unmistakable, particularly at night when it dominates the color palette of the locale. The baskets on each court have hints of molten in their cores, but are quickly cooling as they enter their igneous state. The incredible level of detail in this borough, in my opinion, really helps to immerse you into this rugged landscape as it perfectly defines the tone for those that hail from the East!

Located in the exact center of the City is our newly created mecca of competition, the Block.  Here, you will find all of your favorite ways to play competitively encased in one community-driven initiative. The Block features: 

• The Theater (all-new for NBA 2K23, details below)
• Pro-Am (an all-new building featuring unique 3v3 and 5v5 experiences)
• The REC (an all-new building exterior and interior)
• Black Lives Matter court (new design and now a 3v3 experience)
• Kobe court (new design and now a 3v3 experience)

With all of this great content in one central hub, I fully expect this locale will be absolutely hopping 24/7 with people to play with and against. I’m particularly excited with the bringing in of the Kobe and BLM courts to this new area. They have long been under-utilized, and with their flipping to 3v3, I look forward to being able to find a game on either whenever I’m waiting for my 2K friends to jump on! 

THE THEATER

I really buried the lead on this one above, purposely. The Theater is about to become your new favorite place to play in the City! Replacing the Warehouse buildings that were scattered throughout the City in 2K22, this one central location will serve as a dynamic way to play instant matchmaking games. The Theater building is set up thematically to look like a movie theater from the outside. On the exterior of the building are four giant ‘movie posters’ that detail the four events that are taking place inside the Theater at the current moment. Upon entering the Theater itself, you will find yourself in the lobby where you simply enter whichever theater/auditorium you are ready to play in. It’s quick, it’s easy, and best of all, it’s a seamless way to play 2K basketball!

My favorite aspect of the Theater is its dynamism. Every Friday morning (Pacific Time), the four event playlist will completely swap out to four new events! This means you will be playing a steady stream of new and rotating events all year long, with every week being a different experience for you and your crew! In fact, here is your Week 1 schedule for the Theater that will run from launch day on September 9th until the following Friday, September 16th:

• Theater 1: Loser’s Out - A 2v2 experience where you can come alone or bring a friend with you. Only catch is, as the name implies, the opposing team gets possession after made baskets.
• Theater 2: Hustle - A 3v3 experience where you can come alone or bring your friends.  Hustle features a 12-second shot clock to keep a non-stop lightning pace of play.
• Theater 3: Comp: Squads Only - A 3v3 experience where you bring your own crew.  Sure to be a favorite for the true 2K vet, Comp modes bring competitive game tuning to the table where only the strongest will survive. Time to sweat!
• Theater 4: Rooks: No Squads - A 3v3 experience where squads aren’t allowed. A great place to level up your MyPLAYER; the only players allowed entrance are those rated 75 and under.

This kind of a format allows us to create some creative new game types that you haven’t experienced in NBA 2K before.  As always, we will be requesting and expecting your feedback all year long on what events you like, dislike, and want to see return in future weeks.  I don’t really want to detail everything we have up our sleeves for this year, but here are a few events you will see at some point this year: 

• Double or Nothing : Earn Double XP when you win.  Losing teams earn 0. 
• In The Bank : Shut down your opponent and a point is added to the vault.  First team to hit a shot from beyond the arc will collect the current balance.  Bring your perimeter defenders here!
• Pulling Weight : Every player on the team must contribute towards their offense equally (more on this one when the time comes!)
• Living The Dream : Your MyPLAYER will play to their true potential.  Attributes and badges are maxed for that build during this event.

These can be configured in different and unique ways.  Example, they can be 2v2, 3v3, 5v5, Squads Only, No Squads, Level 40s only, Vipers only, etc.  There are actually a LOT of game types and I’m keeping some of my personal favorites under wraps until their week arrives!  The flexibility of The Theater is something we’ve never had before and really opens up an experience we can all work on together to bring the community together.

As you venture out into the City on launch day to explore the sights and sounds of our new urban environment, it will be impossible to miss the Arena. This is a full-scale NBA arena that you will navigate towards to play your NBA games in MyCAREER. As you can see from the above screenshot, there is a sprawling plaza out front that contains people hanging out, meeting up with their friends, conversing, and just waiting to enter the arena to watch YOU put on a show! As you head closer to the front doors, you will see the lines of people heading through security and entering the building. But you, you’re an NBA star in the making! Your Player’s Only entrance is over on the left!

Upon using your Player’s Only entrance, you will find yourself in an all-new area for NBA 2K23 that allows you to prepare for your upcoming NBA game, perform a Russell Westbrook-esque fashion walk in front of the waiting media, complete any quests if applicable, and more. After finished games, you will travel through the underbelly of the arena to meet with the press in the Press Conference Room and more. This dynamic environment seamlessly connects the fabric of The City with your MyCAREER as the arena grounds the entire experience right into the heart of the City. As your star builds in MyCAREER, take a look at the denizens that inhabit the City. Some will be wearing clothing from your arch-rival Shep Owens. Others might be wearing your jersey. One of your many quests in MyCAREER this year will be to win over the city and its inhabitants. With a little sweat, they’ll all be wearing your jersey in no time!

DREAMVILLE, FEATURING J. COLE

Located in the southeast, not far from the Beasts’ borough, you will find a new studio that has rolled into the City for NBA 2K23…Dreamville Studio. Founded by the Grammy-nominated artist and producer J. Cole, Dreamville Studio is a location your MyPLAYER can eventually gain access to. But only if you prove you have what it takes to meet Cole himself. During your journey, you will meet Dreamville artist Bas, who will help you get your footing so you can get recognized by J. Cole. Cole himself is a tremendous basketball player; befriend him and he can perhaps help you in your quest to win over the City.

EVENT CENTER

The Event Center returns in NBA 2K23 with an all-new design and look that adds a whole new level of flair—fitting for such an important building. This year will feature returning favorite events and, of course, all-new events with some prizes you are absolutely going to want to compete for. As for the building exterior itself, this behemoth of a building condenses to a significantly smaller building when it is inactive. Come event time, the entire City is going to know it’s about to go down. The building goes through an elaborate transformation as it grows and expands to its full size, complete with a full fireworks show to ensure everyone in the City makes their way over. We have some fun content planned for the Event Center this year including events planned in partnership with the 2K League that I think the community will enjoy.  We’ll see you there!

JORDAN CHALLENGE BUILDING

Towering over the Block, directly across the street on the north side, you will find the Jordan Challenge building. Featuring a cutting-edge design that glows a signature red come nightfall, the Jordan Challenge building provides you with an easy-access portal to participate in NBA 2K23’s Jordan Challenge game mode. This landmark experience is our love letter to the NBA 2K community; the amount of effort that went into this near-perfect recreation of a bygone era is one that I promise will grab your attention and not release it until you have completed all 15 challenges on offer. If you are able to complete enough of the challenges we present to you during the experience, you will unlock three exclusive items for your MyPLAYER to wear in the City. Unavailable anywhere else in the game, these three apparel items will signify your mastering of Jordan’s career defining moments. 

The rewards are: 

• UNC Michael Jordan jersey for your MyPLAYER
• Gold Jumpman necklace for your MyPLAYER
• No. 23-emblazoned calf sleeve that provides a +1 boost to your MyPLAYER’s Dunk rating

BECOMING A LEGEND

The race for Legend is back! In NBA 2K22, achieving Legend status required you to reach Level 40 in four different seasons—that’s it. For NBA 2K23, we are mixing up the formula, based solely on the feedback from you, our community. This year, there are four different objectives for you to complete. Achieving those objectives will require an incredible amount of time, patience, and pure skill. For those who show the perseverance required to reach this summit, I can say with confidence that you are going to enjoy the Legend prize this year. I’m not going to give any hints on what it is, but I will say it is part cosmetic and part performance enhancing. In addition to that, the Legend prizes on Current Gen on the G.O.A.T. Boat, and The City on New Gen are both unique, and great. Will anyone in the community manage to get both?!

Debuting in NBA 2K22, Seasons was a huge success for our community. The format was quite simple: Earn rewards for simply playing the game types you were already playing. And the best part, it was completely free! Thinking back to NBA 2K21 (and years prior), Seasons offers so much more value to you, the player. The static model it replaced prized somewhere between nothing and very little—quite the upgrade! With Seasons, we have a fresh set of rewards available to earn every 6 weeks. I’m very pleased to announce that Seasons will be returning to the City in NBA 2K23, and we’ve got a whole host of rewards planned for this coming year to improve upon the experience from last year. Seasons in NBA 2K23 will once again allow players to access new content and earn rewards simply or playing with no additional cost! We will have information on Season 1 coming to you soon, stay tuned!

Fastest Way to Travel Around the City in NBA 2K22 Next Gen

The new City in NBA 2K22 Next Gen has been retooled to be sprawling with NPCs, POIs and views that make the map truly feel alive. Despite this, however, there are some legitimate growing pains that come with having to navigate across the map for things as simple as new clothes.

Whether you're heading to your next quest objective, the mall or another park, here are the fastest ways to get around the City in NBA 2K22 MyCareer on Next Gen.

NBA 2K22 Fastest Way to Travel Around the City

Fast travel.

Starting off with the fastest and most convenient way of maneuvering in the City is the Fast Travel system. At the tap of the R1 or RB button for those on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, players can teleport to the front of their apartment door from anywhere in the City. This is especially helpful at the beginning of the game when you need to go to your Practice Facility often, or Erick's Vinyl for some music trivia . Unfortunately, the feature doesn't go beyond that one destination, however.

The second and most obviously way of traversing the City is by using your Skateboard. Simply hold L1 or LB to bring up the equipment wheel and point your right stick to the top right bring out your board.

BMX Bike and Inline Skates

Two other human-powered vehicles available for players to use in NBA 2K22 Next Gen are the BMX Bike and Inline Skates. Both are faster than the default Skateboard but come at a premium price. While the BMX can be purchased at Wheels starting at 65,000 VC, the Inline Skates can only be purchased once players hit Level 30.

While it was rumored that players would be able to fast travel between each of the four major parks in the City via the subway system, it just isn't the case in NBA 2K22 Next Gen. Instead, the subway functions just as in past 2Ks as a way for players to find new servers of the same park.

Spawn Locations

Similar to NBA 2K21 Next Gen, players can unlock the ability to set their Spawn Locations in the City after completing a City Quest from ATM. In the "Unlock Spawn Location" quest, players must travel 26.2 miles in the City. Upon completion, you can choose to spawn on the Map across various POIs, such as the Rec, Pro-Am and the Mall.

Lastly, the Penthouse rewards players who earn 1,000,000 MVP points not only with 10,000 VC and a killer view of the City, but also a zipline that allows you to fast travel to any of the four Affiliation parks .

NBA 2K23 has continued to evolve and upgrade the NBA 2K series in new and exciting ways. This latest entry in the long-running franchise has managed to fix or otherwise improve many lingering design problems of previous entries. One of these improvements comes in the form of a new Fast Travel system. If you have played NBA 2K22, then you know that getting around the City was one of the most tiresome parts of the game, thanks to its lack of proper Fast Travel. Luckily for all of us, NBA 2K23 has Fast Travel in the City , and we are here to explain exactly how it works.

How to Fast Travel in NBA 2K23

Previously, the only way you could get around the City was either on foot, or by using a vehicle. While this latter option was much quicker, it isn’t ideal, because you still have to manually get from point A to point B. Now, this has changed with the inclusion of real Fast Travel. All you need to do is to find one of the many Fast Travel stations that have been placed all over the City. These are very easy to spot, since they look just like subway stations that go underground, with “Fast Travel Station” written on the side of the entrance.

Additionally, these Subway Stations are also clearly visible on your map, so you can head to the nearest one and then use it to Fast Travel to your desired location. While it would be even more convenient if we could automatically travel to any marked location like in games such as Skyrim, this is definitely an improvement over NBA 2K22. Overall, NBA 2K23 is filled with little tweaks and welcome changes like this and the, for example, option to change the camera angle in College .

• If you are confused about locating a Fast Travel Station, then you can press RB on Xbox, R1 on PlayStation, and R on Nintendo Switch to locate it on the map.
• In addition, you can also create a Spawn point by selecting a Fast Travel station in NBA 2K23. Later, whenever you’ll load the game, you’ll spawn in the city of the station you selected.

The City has reduced in size by nearly 30 percent in NBA 2K23 compared to last year. You can still, however, expect to cover a lot of ground while traveling from one location to another.

You previously had to use bikes and skateboards (or walk) for miles before being able to unlock a spawn location. That has been changed in NBA 2K23. You can now access a more efficient way to fast travel in the City to save precious time.

The following guide will tell you how to fast travel in NBA 2K23 for your various missions and challenges.

How to ride the subway in NBA 2K23

There are a number of subway stations in the City that you can use for fast traveling. You just need to open the map to see the closest subway station.

Once there, find a station closest to your intended destination. Thankfully, the City has been designed in a way that there is always a subway station close to most of the important locations or markers.

Simply select a subway station to fast travel there in seconds. The following are all of the fast traveling locations in the City:

• North Station
• Knights Station
• Arena/One City Plaza
• Wildcats Station
• West Mall Station
• East Mall Station
• Vipers Station
• Event Center
• Beasts Station

Remember that each subway station acts like a spawn location . You do not have to fast travel every time. When you reload the game to get back into the City, you will automatically spawn at the closest subway station in your area. That is something to note when exiting the game or when you decide to take a break.

How to go to the City in NBA 2K23 MyCareer

For those who are still unaware, the City is only available on the next-gen versions of NBA 2K23. That means you need to play the game on either PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X to get access to the City.

Start by going into MyCareer on the main menu. You will then need to either select an existing build or create a new build for your MyCareer journey.

Once done with your build, you must choose a team through the options bar at the bottom of the screen. You will now see a couple of cutscenes. When they end, you will automatically spawn in your apartment or office building.

Make your way to the elevator and hit exit to enter the City. You can now freely roam around or open the map to check the nearest subway station.

Scientists might make interstellar travel a reality

Warp speed, hyperspeed, whatever you call it we might get that fast one day.

There have been some awesome inventions in the world of science fiction over the years. Whether it’s the Tardis from “Dr Who ” and its miraculous traveling abilities or the teleporting talents of the protagonists in “Jumper,” sci-fi has a knack for dreaming up marvelous modes of transport. Now, however, scientists believe one sci-fi invention could, in fact, become a reality: the warp drive .

Let me start by saying this is all theoretical, and NASA hasn’t yet created a means of hopping between planets with ease, but the tech still sounds awesome. Now that the fun sponging is out the way, let’s talk about this development that’s out to prove that warp drives could one day exist to help us zap around the cosmos with ease.

Scientists from an American university just filed a paper outlining how warp drives could work, according to a report from Space.com . The paper includes talk of complex things like stable matter, shift vectors and something called the Alcubierre metric. In normal speak, this all means that it could be theoretically possible to create an engine that could power us across the cosmos at speeds close to lightspeed.

The paper, which was published by the University of Alabama, has outlined what it would take to create a craft capable of such speeds, meaning that a jump warp speed may be closer than we think. As Space.com reports:

“This study changes the conversation about warp drives,” lead author Jared Fuchs, of the University of Alabama, Huntsville and the research think tank Applied Physics, said in a statement. “By demonstrating a first-of-its-kind model, we’ve shown that warp drives might not be relegated to science fiction.” The team’s model uses “a sophisticated blend of traditional and novel gravitational techniques to create a warp bubble that can transport objects at high speeds within the bounds of known physics,” according to the statement.

The timing of the paper couldn’t be better, as a group of international researchers recently launched its own project to make warp speed a reality.

According to a report from Popular Mechanic , the development has come from Applied Physics, an international body of researchers out to prove that Star Trek’s warp drive could become a reality. The team has created an online tool that it says has the sole purpose of figuring out how to speed up space travel, as Popular Mechanic reports:

“Physicists can now generate and refine an array of warp drive designs with just a few clicks, allowing us to advance science at warp speed,” Gianni Martire, CEO of Applied Physics, said in a press statement. “Warp Factory serves as a virtual wind tunnel, enabling us to test and evaluate different warp designs. Science fiction is now inching closer to science fact.” As Public Benefit Company, Applied Physics is ponying up $500,000 in potential grants for aspiring warp drive theorists. However, those grants come with a few caveats, mainly that the idea is to produce a physical warp drive based in classical relativity, which means not relying on “negative energy or superluminal matter” to make your time-bending engine work.

That’s a sizable chunk of change being put up to anyone who thinks they can crack warp speed. However, in space terms it’s actually just pocket change. Boeing’s Starliner mission , which launched just last week, had an operating budget of around $4 billion, the budget for NASA’s Artemis missions is closer to $8 billion.
