The Pro Series Aluminum Travel water scoop is designed with you in mind. We have taken all of the most important features of a long handled water scoop and condensed them down to a travel size. The scoop breaks down in to just two pieces. The lower shaft that is just 23" in length and the upper shaft that is 24" in length. At just 3 pounds, 8 ounces you will speed through the airport and arrive at your destination ready to hunt for hours without fatigue!

The Pro Series Aluminum travel water scoop is hand crafted in the United States. Each sand scoop is machined using the finest materials and techniques. With proper care, this scoop will provide you with many years of service.

Advanced Design, Superior Performance

With years of customer feed back in hand, this sand scoop was designed to provide all the features that our beach hunting customers have been asking for. At just 3 pounds, 8 ounces, we are sure that you will enjoy the rugged design, quality components and overall comfortable weight of this long handled travel scoop. The pole is rugged and is produced from 1 and 1/4" aluminum. The pole is reinforced and welded to the bucket at a 20 degree angle. This 20 degree angle allows you to easily apply pressure with your foot to push the scoop into the sand. For added strength, there is an extra aluminum bar at the base of the bucket which gives the sand scoop extra durability. The handle alone is 40" long and with the bucket measures an overall length of 47". The handle has a reinforced rubber hand grip for durability and comfort.

Aluminum Sifting Basket

The quick drain design of the aluminum sifting basket is perfect for use in the water. The bucket has a 5" overall diameter and measures a full 9 inches in length at the longest edge. The bucket is produced of thick cut, machine welded aluminum. The bucket has the popular 5/8" diameter holes throughout the sides and the back of the scoop. The holes are large enough to sift sand and gravel quickly, yet small enough to keep coins, rings and other precious objects from slipping through.

The aluminum bucket has 5/8" diameter holes punched into the sides; the bottom is made of 1/2" heavy duty welded screen with a 1/4" protective curved bar for a foot plate. The bucket of the sand scoop is 6 " in diameter by 11" long. The aluminum 1-1/4" diameter handle is welded at a 20 degree angle so you can use your foot on the back of this scoop to push it into the sand. There is a T-top reinforced aluminum brace to give this scoop added durability. The screen will help you sift the wet sand easier. The bucket of the sand scoop is 5" in diameter by 9" long. The bucket is a little bit longer than our RTG # 721 sand scoop pictured above and will take a little bit more sand while scooping. The anodized handle is welded to the top of the sand scoop. The handle has a curve in it for easy digging and has an orange rubber grip for comfort. For as long as I've lived in apartment buildings with older plumbing, I've relied on a water filter to make my tap water more palatable. My first choice was one of the best water filter pitchers , as it seemed easy to maintain and a cost-effective alternative to buying bottled water. I dabbled with a filter attached directly to the faucet and even a water delivery service when my husband and my hydration needs outgrew our filter's capacity.

While getting water delivered might make sense in a home with space to store multiple 5-gallon jugs, I longed for a water filtration system that didn't make us dependent on a subscription service. Enter the Berkey, a freestanding, gravity-fed filter that promises clean drinking water anytime, anywhere you have access to water. 

The stand-alone water filtration system uses gravity and activated charcoal filters to remove contaminants and store potable water in the 1.5-gallon lower chamber.

All Berkey systems are built similarly: a lidded stainless steel chamber with two filters sits on top of another stainless steel receptacle with a plastic spigot. I own the Travel Berkey, which measures 7.5 inches in diameter and 18 inches tall, large enough to hold 1.5 gallons of filtered water at a time. If you have the counter clearance, you can set the Berkey on the edge of your sink. There's also a wire stand to keep the filter system higher off the countertop if you prefer. 

The Travel version is a bit of a misnomer. It's not lightweight, but it is perfect for a household of one to three people. The Berkey comes with two Black Berkey Elements, filters made of a "carbon composite containing high-grade coconut shell carbon combined with a proprietary blend of 5 other types of media", according to Berkey. Essentially, it's activated charcoal and then some. Larger models can run on two filters with space to fit eight filters for quicker filtration and an option for additional fluoride filters.

The filters allow for microfiltration, absorption, and adsorption. Berkey's microfiltration uses six different media types to create tiny holes that physical pollutants — think dust, sediment, bacteria, and parasites — cannot pass through. Then, heavy metals like chromium, lead, and copper are removed from water through an ion exchange. Lastly, adsorption creates a barrier between the filters' micropores to block additional contaminants, resulting in potable water. Berkey's website has a full list of contaminants the filters target and more documentation of the testing that garnered these results.

The initial setup takes a little time. You have to prime the filters by soaking them, then test them with red dye to make sure they're working correctly. Once you finish setting up, one of the biggest pluses of this type of filter is that it works anywhere and doesn't require electricity. This was a big selling point for my "always be prepared" husband, who loves that we could be stocked with drinking water even in an emergency.

The main issue for many is the initial cost: the smallest Berkey system will set you back around $330, with the largest system price at $478. In comparison, a Brita filter pitcher starts at $20. Replacement filters aren't cheap either, averaging about $140 for a set of two. The upside is that the filters are good up until around 6,000 gallons, which averages anywhere from two to six years, depending on your water consumption. 

Another consideration is that the Berkey needs time to process unfiltered water. With a flow rate of 2.75 gallons per hour, you'll want to ensure that you're refilling the Berkey as fast as you tap it. If you need a lot of filtered water at once and empty the bottom chamber, it will take a while to replenish.

What are your alternatives?

When we had a smaller apartment, I relied heavily on the Aquasana Clean Water Machine . This countertop model is about the size of a Nespresso or Keurig machine and forces water through an internal filter which results in quick filtration. It does require electricity and can be a bit noisy. If you like the idea of a Berkey but find it too industrial, the newly launched Boroux Legacy is an elegant option. It's currently only available in a 3-gallon size, but it is also a lot less expensive than the same size Berkey.

The Berkey systems are tried-and-true — I've been using the Travel Berkey at home for nearly two years now with no issues. It requires no electricity and can be placed anywhere in your home. While the upfront costs might seem high, this filtration system has already saved me countless dollars on buying bottled water, and it will be at least another year or two before we need to replace its filters.

1. SUP ( standup paddleboarding)

One of the most popular and accessible water activities that does not require special skill or preparation. Just grabbing a board and a paddle and you can glide along the water surface, taking in picturesque landscapes. In Moscow, you can now go SUP surfing (with or without an instructor) in many places and almost everywhere with big water.

You can try out ‘SUP SPOT’ in the Stroginskaya floodplain (there, you can even do some SUP yoga!) or check out a few SUP points in Serebryany Bor; you’ll also find SUP surfing spots on the Moskva River near the center, as well as at Krylatskoe, Beloye Lake and Borisovskie ponds.

2. Wakeboarding & Wakesurfing

Have you already learned how to distinguish between these two activities? If not, it's time! In wakeboarding your feet are fastened to the board, just like with snowboarding, while, with wakesurfing, you have to get on the board again every time, but it does give you more maneuverability. In both cases, the rider is pulled by a boat.

Today, you can go wakeboarding (and, in some places, also waterskiing) in many places in Moscow. Among them are ‘RiverClubSurf’ near the ‘Alye Parusa’ apartment building complex, ‘Wake People’ near ‘Tushinskaya’ subway station, ‘Wake Club Wakeforia’ near Shchukinskaya subway station, ‘WakeDivision’ in Serebryany Bor, ‘Waketeam’ on Khimki Reservoir or, for example, ‘Wakestyle’ in Krylatskoe District.

This is considered one of the most spectacular water activities. When a person takes off over the water surface like Superman and powerful water currents keep them in the air. At the same time, the athlete also makes pirouettes - it is impossible to take your eyes off it. And, it turns out that everyone (who weighs from 40 kg to 120 kg) can master flyboarding.

For a thrill, head to ‘Moswake’ on the Moscow Canal, ‘Flyboard’ in Serebryany Bor, ‘Flyboard Sports and Entertainment Center’ in Strogino or ‘Flyboard School’ at the ‘Royal Bar’ beach club near the Vodny Stadion subway station.

• Exhaust heat damage is not covered under warranty. Please use the included heat shield and follow the installation instructions carefully.
• On dual-exhaust bikes or bikes with especially high/exposed pipes, you will need a second heat shield, available for purchase in our website's Hardware & Parts section.
• Contact between soft luggage (no matter how soft) and your bike's plastics or painted surfaces will cause cosmetic wear to the bike over time because accumulated dirt is abrasive. If that is important, try applying a clear protective film (like  Allstar Performance Tape or  3M Polymask Protective Tape ) to your bike.
• Different bikes and installation approaches present different wear points to the Reckless 40 harness. After installation, go for a short test ride, then check for wear points. Adjust the harness position, file down sharp rack edges, or apply a sacrificial wear patch as needed. Continue to check for high-wear points over time, but remember that the harness is made to take a lot of abuse. Some visible wear is normal, and in no way does it affect the strength or waterproofness of the luggage.

Key features, the 2 bag system.

Tough bag on the outside, dry bag on the inside. The outer bag is engineered to resist punctures, abrasion, and tears. The 100% waterproof inner drybag is constructed of 22oz 840D TPU with welded seams, keeping water out and your stuff bone dry.

Infinite Expandability

Hypalon MOLLE panels allow you to customize and configure your Reckless system exactly the way you want it. MOLLE accessory pouches enable you to expand the capacity of your panniers for things like fuel bottles or a hydration reservoir. The expandable rear Beavertail creates a convenient spot to tuck a motorcycle jacket or store wet things you don't want inside your dry bag.

Compatible With Most Bikes

The R40 doesn't require pannier racks and offers two-width settings – narrow and wide – allowing it to fit small enduros up to larger ADV bikes. Making it an excellent choice for fly-to-ride trips or riders who own multiple bikes.
