How to Plan a Successful Campus Tour of Boston’s Top Colleges

Each year, we partner with schools and community organizations around Massachusetts to plan campus tours for their students. They receive quality transportation, professional drivers, and attentive customer service.

This year, we’ve gone one step further to make your trip run even smoother. We talked to five of Boston ’s top colleges to learn everything there is to know about group tours on their campuses.

Boston University

Overlooking the Charles River, Boston University’s campus is home to nearly 18,000 students. With a student to faculty ratio of 10-to-1, the school offers students a highly-personalized education.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in-person on-campus tours are suspended. For future reference, the university welcomes groups of 10 to 50 students to schedule a tour by filling out their request form or by calling admissions at 617-353-2300 . Group tours are conducted by a current BU student and are available for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors only. Schedule your visit at least three weeks in advance to ensure availability.

Your bus driver can drop students off outside the visitor’s center at 233 Bay State Road. Though the university doesn’t have guest bus parking on campus, your driver can park off-campus and meet you back at the visitor center at the end of the tour.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Visit the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge to learn about its prestigious academic programs, admissions process, and campus life. Students who are interested in science, engineering, and research will especially benefit from visiting their campus.

On-campus tours are suspended due to the global pandemic, but you can plan and schedule a self-guided tour for your group. For future reference, when you book a visit, your students will receive a 75-minute tour which includes the Stratton Student Center, Zesiger Athletic Center, and Kresge Auditorium.

MIT will waive the tour fees it’s booked by a teacher or school counselor. There are specific times of the year when campus visits can not be accommodated, so read their guidelines carefully before requesting a date.

Harvard University

Harvard is one of the top Ivy League schools in the country and typically has tours available for groups from 15 to 100 participants. However, due to the global pandemic, all public and private campus tours are suspended.

For future reference, you can schedule a tour in advance through the Harvard University Visitor Center. Once you arrive in Cambridge, ask your driver to drop students off at Mt. Auburn Street between Holyoke Street and Plympton Street. Tours begin at the Harvard Information Center and are led by current students.

Your guide will use their personal experience at Harvard to teach students what to expect. They’ll also be available to answer questions about housing, admissions, financial aid, extracurricular activities, and more.

Northeastern University

Students who attend Northeastern University have a unique opportunity to learn from real-world experiences. Over 90% of undergraduates complete co-op programs during their four years at the university.

High school and college transfer students can book group tours through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Request a tour at least two weeks in advance, and contact the school if your group has over 40 participants.

The tour begins at the Visitor’s Center at 40 Leon Street, and your driver can drop students off on Forsyth Street near Ruggles Station.

Boston College

Groups of 10 or more participants can tour Boston College’s campus to see its beautiful Gothic architecture and learn more about the school. Schedule your tour two weeks ahead of time on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

The Eagle Eye Campus Visit, which lasts two hours, includes an information session and campus tour. A current student will show participants around the school and answer any questions they may have.

The school’s staff suggests that buses unload on their lower campus, which is a short walk from their office at 140 Commonwealth Avenue. Your driver may park at Boston College’s Newton campus a mile away and return for pickup after the tour.

Tips for families to maximize their college visit to Boston, which is the college-visit capital of the country.

Boston: home of the Red Sox, clam chowder and what would appear to be a college or university on every corner. In the Greater Boston Area, there are more than 100 schools. While this figure may be overwhelming for those interested in a Beantown education, here’s a guide to help you plan a visit to several campuses on one trip with ease.

In the fall, September and October are the best months to visit. School is in session, the leaves are changing color, the weather is cool and mild. If possible, try to avoid busy holidays like Columbus Day and Veterans Day. In the spring, April is an excellent time to visit, but check each school's spring break calendar and avoid the hotel reservation hassle of the Boston Marathon.

Where to stay

If you stay in the heart of the city you can get a feeling for the community surrounding each campus and utilize the subway (the T) to quickly get around. Centrally located hotels, with access to both the subway and the turnpike (if you’d like to include schools in neighboring suburbs), include the Boston Marriott Copley Place , Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel and the more affordable Midtown Hotel (rates start at $89). When you make your reservation, inquire about a campus visit discount. Many hotels offer them.

What to see—sample itinerary

Here’s a travel plan for a two- to three-day tour of the major schools in the Boston/Cambridge metropolitan area; with travel times, distances and points of interest for each.

Start at Northeastern University , in the heart of the city. Enjoy the unusual abundance of green space on the urban campus, explore the underground tunnels linking campus building or take a walk through the surrounding Fenway Cultural District.

Afterward, head north to Boston University , about 15 minutes away (1.7 miles). If it’s warm, join students hanging out at the “BU Beach” behind Marsh Plaza. The Allston neighborhood near campus, nicknamed “Allston Rock City” for the many resident artists and musicians, has a wide selection of cafes and music venues. Or, head south of campus to the Brookline neighborhood for an independent film screening or book reading.

Go across the Charles River, about 10 minutes (1.3 miles) north of Boston University to reach Massachusetts Institute of Technology . While MIT is renowned for academic achievements, the campus itself has not been given much credit. However, Frank Gehry’s Stata Center, Steven Holl’s Simmons Hall or Charles Correa’s Building 46 are all interesting architectural additions worthy of a look.

Staying in Cambridge, head 10 to 15 minutes (2.1 miles) north to Harvard University . The world-renowned institution centers on Harvard Yard, full of academic buildings, administrative offices, main libraries and most of the freshman dorms. The adjacent Harvard Square offers an array of shops and restaurants. Visit the Grolier Poetry Bookshop or the Harvard Coop (now run by Barnes and Noble).

Drive out to one or two of the schools in the surrounding suburbs. Boston College is six miles from downtown Boston in Chestnut Hill; simply enjoy a walk around this campus known as “Oxford in America.” Brandeis University is nine miles outside of Boston in Waltham; while there, be sure to visit Usen Castle, a national historic landmark that features quirks like staircases to nowhere. Tufts University is six miles north in Medford; visit the Aidekman Arts Center here.

As a Boston area hotel salesperson (full disclosure) I would recommend trying to plan your trip not in Sept/Oct when demand and rates are at their highest and the same for May (graduation time) Early-March -April or the Summer or November to early December are all lower-rated times. Besides college tours there is so much to see and do make it a vacation and bring the family.

As the home of 35 colleges and universities, Boston is a magnet for those on the college touring circuit. We’ve outlined a four-day itinerary with some of the most frequently requested schools, but there are plenty of others to consider. We suggest staying in the Back Bay area of the city, which makes a great home base for exploration. Many sites are walkable from here, but Boston’s subway, known as the T, is an easy way to get around.

Be sure to give ample focus to the fun aspects of the trip. Days with your soon-to-be college student are dwindling, so try to make this as much of a chance to savor your time together as to identify next steps. More tips about timing, general pace and how to approach college touring can be found in our New York-area edition , the first in this series.

Boston College Tour Vacation Ideas

Northeastern University is a private research university founded in 1898. It is extremely well located, a stone’s throw from Back Bay, and makes a great place to start. Northeastern is known for its strong co-op program that integrates classroom knowledge with professional experience. Look for the tunnel system that connects some of the major academic buildings for use during inclement weather. Without making it a big issue, this is a way to get a feel for your student’s take on attending school in an area where cold weather is definitely a factor.

For lunch, try local institution Chicken Lou’s. Word on the street is that you should try a TKO: baked chicken, melted Swiss, bacon and honey mustard.

In the afternoon, explore the area around Boston Common. An excellent option is the Freedom Trail, a 2 1/2-mile journey that connects 16 historically significant sites related to the American Revolution. Either opt for a 90-minute tour or explore on your own; keep an eye out for the signature red line connecting each stop.

If you still have energy to burn, head out on a sunset kayaking tour through Paddle Boston on the nearby Charles River. You’ll be treated to fabulous views of the area and glimpses of many local schools.

Commonly called BU, Boston University is a private school situated along the Charles River in the Fenway-Kenmore and Allston neighborhoods. BU boasts a tremendous number of noted alumni — Alexander Graham Bell even invented the telephone in a BU lab. The school serves more 30,000 students and the Boston University Terriers compete in NCAA Division I sports.

For lunch, try Mei Mei. This creative Chinese spot started as a food truck and after gaining popularity, established a brick-and-mortar restaurant. Or go healthy and try By Chloe for creative vegan food.

In the afternoon, explore the Back Bay neighborhood and Copley Place. Window shop along Newbury Street with its trendy stores and art galleries. Keep an eye out for artisanal doughnut shop Blackbird if you need to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Tonight, take in a Boston Red Sox game or a tour of Fenway Park. Known as “America’s favorite ball park” and home to the Green Monstah, Fenway is an iconic outing. Try a brown butter lobster roll at Eventide Fenway or look for the Green Monstah ice cream sandwich from the Cookie Monstah truck.

Next up is Boston College . This private Jesuit school in Chestnut Hill is nicknamed “The Heights” because of its hilltop location. Explore the campus and then have lunch at student favorites Eagle’s Deli or Crazy Dough’s pizza.

For the remainder of the day, explore the popular Quincy Market Complex, including Faneuil Hall, the meeting hall and marketplace dating back to 1743 and known as the “cradle of liberty.” Stroll through the stores, try some authentic Boston “chowdah” and settle in to watch the sights and all of the street performers.

If you’re looking for a different vibe, go hang on the grown-up tire shaped swings at the highly Instagrammable Lawn on D in the Seaport District, the city’s tech hub.

Today is devoted to visiting Harvard University . As the oldest institution of higher learning in the United States, this Ivy League school hardly needs introduction. Harvard’s notable alumni range from Nobel Prize winners to Rhodes Scholars as well as eight U.S. presidents. Located in Cambridge just over the Charles River, the campus is known for its ornate architecture, styled similarly to colleges in England.

Leave time to soak up the atmosphere in Harvard Yard, where all freshman live and which is home to student events. Then spend some time in Harvard Square with its cafes, shops and restaurants. Don’t forget to check out Harvard Coop, the official campus bookstore, for souvenirs. For lunch try Mr. Bartley’s, a throwback burger joint that has been serving since the 1960s.

Spend the rest of the day taking it all in along the banks of the Charles at Riverbend Park or head back to Back Bay for some more city exploration.

TIP: Unstructured time such as shopping or sitting in a park is a great chace to let your student talk at their leisure about reactions to different schools, campuses and approaches to higher learning. It is easiest to have these gut-check conversations when a bit of time has passed and you are not on campus but all of the experiences are still fresh. Don’t force it, just let the conversations happen.

Tonight, cap off the trip with dinner and jazz at the The Beehive, an all-ages venue named one of the top 100 jazz clubs in the world.

Based on time, interests and the desire for a contrasting look at some smaller schools, consider adding (or replacing) visits to Tufts University , Babson College , Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) , Brandeis University or noted women’s college Wellesley .

Campus Visits Boston Universities & Colleges

Boston, home to over 100 colleges and universities, has earned its reputation as the best “college town” in the U.S. With so many schools in close proximity, it’s easy to compare colleges that represent a wide range of selectivity, campus settings, and sizes. In many ways, it’s the perfect place to begin your college search!

To make the most of your trip to Massachusetts, we suggest taking a realistic approach: if you’re short on time, focus on schools that are in range (where your scores and grades are similar to those of admitted students). See, for instance, the Accepted Student Profile for Tufts University and Boston College to better gauge how your data points compare to their freshmen classes.

BOSTON-AREA CAMPUS VISITS : SAMPLE ITINERARY

Day 1: cambridge campus visits.

When you visit, begin your day at Tufts University where you can attend a 70-minute campus tour led by current students (don’t forget to pre-register!). Stroll past the “The Daily Cannon,” a replica of the U.S.S. Constitution cannon that’s painted over on a nightly basis with colorful announcements and messages. As a member of the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC), Tufts offers a comprehensive liberal arts education and 150+ majors and minors. It also boasts a particularly strong reputation for its internationalism. The average class size at Tufts is 20 and the student-faculty ratio of 9:1 ensures an intimate and individualized learning experience. The academic quad, home to many of the academic buildings on campus, is often filled with students playing frisbee or studying in small groups. In the afternoon, head over to the Harvard College Admissions Visitor Center in Cambridge, MA for your campus tour. Be sure to ask about Harvard’s unique residential system, which consists of 12 Houses, or residential undergraduate communities. Your tour guide can also shed light on the many interdisciplinary concentrations for undergraduates—there are more that 3,700 courses in 50 undergraduate fields of study available! Both schools are easily accessible on the T, Boston’s subway system, and provide a useful contrast between a smaller liberal arts college and large research university. In between campus visits, you can grab coffee at the popular Tatte Bakery & Café, browse for a new book at the Harvard Coop, or watch rowers practice on the Charles River. At the end of a busy day, debrief over dinner in bustling Harvard Square. Don’t forget to take notes!

Day 2: Boston Campus Visits

If you’re interested in a more urban campus, Day 2 is for you! BU and Northeastern are located less than 5 miles apart in the heart of the city, near Boston’s historic Back Bay neighborhood.

Boston University hosts in-person tours and information sessions where you can experience campus and meet current students. According to Forbes, BU is ranked #7 for international students, with 150 countries represented on campus. It is also known for its seasonal events and school spirit—as a BU student you can watch the ice hockey team compete in the Beanpot Tournament, attend the annual Lobster Night in the dining hall, and cheer for runners in the Boston Marathon (or run it yourself!) alongside your classmates. Northeastern University is best known for its emphasis on experiential learning and signature co-op program. Through this curriculum, students are able to alternate semesters of academic study with full-time work to gain valuable real-world experience. On campus, Northeastern students are active in more than 400 student clubs and often pursue multiple academic interests at once through the many Combined Majors available. Register for an in-person information session led by admissions staff and attend a tour of the Boston campus with a current student Husky Ambassador.

Are the Red Sox in town? After your campus visits, walk to Fenway Park in Kenmore Square to root for the home team. Or, if you need a more low-key activity after a busy day, plan a visit to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, the site of a famous art heist, to contemplate works by Rembrandt, Titian, and John Singer Sargent.

Day 3: Chestnut Hill Campus Visits

Boston College , a private Jesuit school, is located in scenic Chestnut Hill. In addition to its lively football and hockey fans, BC is also known for its meaningful traditions like the First Flight Procession, a lantern-lit journey for freshmen that mirrors the path students will follow on graduation day and ends with a blessing. While you visit campus, be sure to ask your tour guide about the rigorous core curriculum and check out the newest facility to open on campus: the Schiller Institute for Integrated Science and Society . Depending on your time, interests and school range, we suggest amending the itinerary above by adding (or replacing) campus visits to Emerson College, Babson College, MIT, and Brandeis College . Female-identifying applicants might want to add a trip to Wellesley College , a noted women’s college in the Boston suburbs.

Days 4-6: Bonus Campus Visits

If you’re able to plan a longer trip to Massachusetts, rent a car and drive down Route 2 to Western Mass! On your scenic road trip to see top-ranked liberal arts colleges like Amherst and Williams, you’ll drive past Clark University and Holy Cross in Worcester. Other schools in the Pioneer Valley include UMass Amherst, Hampshire College, Smith, and Mount Holyoke. While you’re in the neighborhood, don’t miss top-notch cultural institutions like the Clark Art Museum and MASS MoCA.

Even with an abundance of online college information, nothing beats a personal visit. During a campus visit, you can personally experience the details that make a college special and gauge if it might be a good fit for you. It can also be very helpful when trying to decide between different colleges. Even better, college visits can actually increase your chances of being accepted. For example, Tufts University includes in their acceptance criteria whether an applicant has actually visited the school or just dropped an application.

To get the most benefit from a visit, make sure you do thorough college research online and build a list of potential colleges you are considering. From that list, you can then come up with a visiting plan.

The Best Times to Visit Boston Area Colleges

Visiting during summer vacation before the senior year is popular because it does not interfere with school and can be combined with summer vacation travel. Since many colleges start in mid-August, you may want to visit during that time so you can see the school in action. Visiting earlier in the summer can work too, but of course there will be fewer or no students present.

Fall is a great time to visit Boston colleges. Not only is the weather amazing, but the fall colors make each college shine. You will also find that the energy on campus is at its best.

Many college advisors recommend visiting in the spring during your junior year. This is a good strategy if you plan to apply for an early decision in the fall. Of course, it requires your college research to be done early.

The Best Days to Visit Boston Area Colleges

Each college has its own schedule for visiting, and some are open seven days a week, others only a few days a week. Generally, weekends are not a good time to visit, as colleges operate on a weekend schedule. Many Boston colleges offer Monday through Friday for visits, but sometimes Friday is not the best day to visit as students get ready for the weekend. Make sure you don’t visit during holidays or special exam days. Checking with colleges is best before you plan a visit.

Visiting multiple colleges

Visiting multiple colleges on the same trip is a great idea. Grouping them by general location will make that easier. In the table below, you will see the general location of each school.

Metro Center: This indicates that you can reach it via the subway (called the T).

Metro North, West, and South: best visited by car, Uber, or, in some cases, commuter rail.

These popular Boston area schools represent a good mix of size, setting and admissions selectivity. All are easily accessed via public transportation, and given their relative proximity you can squeeze in two campus visits a day if necessary.

For a taste of smaller schools in more rural locations, consider driving to western Massachusetts to visit Amherst , Williams , Hampshire College , Smith or UMass Amherst . If you're interested in engineering, check out Olin , UMass Lowell and WPI , and if you're interested in entrepreneurship visit Babson .

Though we've contained the list to schools in NYC, it's easy to venture out into upstate NY, Connecticut, New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania if you're game. Cornell is four hours away, but if you head up that way you can also visit Colgate and Hamilton to give you a taste of small, medium and large schools in rural settings.

College tour season is about to kick off. Here are 10 tips from college tour guides to have a successful campus visit.

As spring starts, colleges around the country welcome parents and students to campus for tours.
College tour guides want people to arrive on time, ask the right questions, and have fun.
They also recommend students take the tour on their own, without their parents.

Spring break is right around the corner, and for many high school students and their parents, that means many will be hitting the road to tour colleges around the country.

To make the most of your visit, Business Insider spoke with college students and tour guides. They know the campuses like the back of their hands, and they know how to walk backward.

Here are the dos and don'ts of college tours from student guides.

1. Get there with no time to spare, but don't be late

You won't get points for arriving early, so try to arrive on time. But if you do happen to arrive late , there's no need to worry.

"If something comes up and you are late, ask your guide what you missed once the tour finishes," Skyler Kawecki-Muonio, a senior at Sarah Lawrence College, told BI. "They will happily fill you in."

2. Dress to impress, but don't sacrifice comfort

It's important to look nice, but you don't have to don a jacket and tie. Tour-goers should put their best foot forward with a sturdy pair of walking shoes , and don't forget to dress for the weather.

"At Fairleigh Dickinson, tours go out rain or shine, so make sure to wear clothes that will keep you warm," Emily Bone, class of '25, said.

3. Don't forget to sign in, but skip the CV

Most schools have a check-in desk where you'll receive a campus map and other literature. But don't bother furnishing schools with your portfolio.

"Students can leave their resumes at home," Henry Millar, a senior at William & Mary, said. "Tour guides generally do not have any sway in the admissions process whatsoever, so feel free to save the paper."

4. Pay attention on the tour, but do it solo if possible

Some schools offer the option of letting parents and kids take separate tours, which has advantages.

"Get excited about your child's potential future in college, but give them some space to see what they think of that school on their own," Nathan Weisbrod, a junior at Wesleyan University, told BI.

Students can comfortably ask questions without a parent present and compare notes afterward.

5. Ask all your questions, but avoid personal interrogations

This is the time to inquire about any aspect of campus life , and don't feel shy about speaking up.

"Tour guides love getting questions because it allows us to cater the tour, especially in small groups, toward the needs and interests of the families on that specific tour," Halle Spataro, class of '24 at Bucknell University, said.

But some topics are off-limits, so don't ask your tour guide about their SAT/ACT scores or what they wrote about in their essay.

6. Speak up, but let the student take the lead

Parents may be tempted to raise their hand again and again, but this tour is about the student, so there should be space to let them shine.

"Try to take the backseat — or the passenger seat — but refrain from driving all of your child's interactions," Julian Jacklin, class of '25 at Reed College, said. "Students who feel they can own that experience usually ask the most questions and engage with the tour more."

7. Say thanks, but don't leave with questions unanswered

Maybe your guide didn't hear you, or your kid was reluctant to speak up. You can still get the information you want before leaving.

"There's a lot of information students are getting that day and a lot of excitement with being in a new place, which can make people forget to ask certain questions," Lorenzo Mars, a junior at Pepperdine University, said.

Therefore, get your tour guide's email address so that you can follow up afterward.

8. You may know exactly what school is right, but keep an open mind

Don't be surprised if a city-living kid is suddenly intrigued by a small-town setting.

"The college search and college experience are all about getting to know yourself better and growing, so on a tour, students have to trust themselves and their judgment of the 'world' they've just stepped into," Thomas Elias, class of '24 at University of Scranton, said.

9. Take in as much as you can, but remember to have fun

Sure, preparing for the next four years can be scary and stressful. But it's also an exciting milestone, so enjoy the ride.

"These tours serve as great opportunities to learn more about colleges — along with their cities, culture, and people," Connor Gee, a sophomore at the University of Mississippi, said. "Have fun with it!"

10. Weigh the pros and cons of the school, but don't stop there

Your tour may be over, but you can still learn other ways to immerse yourself in college life .

2024 ncaa division i baseball championship bracket announced.

INDIANAPOLIS – The field of 64 teams competing for the 2024 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship was announced today by the NCAA Division I Baseball Committee.

The national top 16 seeds are Tennessee (50-11), Kentucky (40-14), Texas A&M (44-13), North Carolina (42-13), Arkansas (43-14), Clemson (41-14), Georgia (39-15), Florida St. (42-15), Oklahoma (37-19), NC State (33-20), Oklahoma St. (40-17), Virginia (41-15), Arizona (36-21), UC Santa Barbara (42-12), Oregon St. (42-14), and East Carolina (43-15).

The Southeastern Conference (SEC) leads the way with a record 11 teams selected from the conference. The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) has eight teams in the field followed by the Big 12 (6), Sun Belt (4), Big Ten (3) and Pac-12 (3). The American Athletic, Big East, Big West, Conference USA and Missouri Valley all have two teams in the field.

High Point, Niagara, and Northern Kentucky are making their first appearances in the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship, while Evansville is making its first appearance since 2006.

Vanderbilt has the longest active streak with its 18th straight appearance. Other notable consecutive streaks include Florida (16), LSU (12), Oklahoma State (11) and DBU (10).

Selection of the eight super regional hosts will be announced on www.NCAA.com/mcws , Tuesday, June 4 at 10 a.m. ET . The Men’s College World Series begins play Friday, June 14, at Charles Schwab Field Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska.

Very good app. Maps need improvement

Overall, I think this app is pretty well put together, and anyone visiting a National Park or NPS-maintained site should have this app downloaded. It is very nice that you can download individual parks for offline use. This is especially helpful for parks where there might not be cell service. However, there are a couple things that I would change about the app. First, there should be a way to link your park passes (daily entry, tours, A the B, etc.) to the app. That way you can have everything organized in one place. Second, the maps for individual parks, especially the larger ones, are way too cluttered. Using Yellowstone as an example, there are 515 unique markers on the Yellowstone map. Before it was shuttered, the old Yellowstone app had the PERFECT setup for the map. It would have large markers for the most used points of interest (Old Faithful, Grand Prismatic, Mammoth Hot Springs, etc.), while having smaller markers for less used points (trailheads, vault toilets, picnic areas, etc.) Then, when you zoomed out on the map, you would only see the large, important markers. As you zoomed in, the smaller, less used markers would appear. This helped tremendously by keeping the map from being too littered with markers and by making it easy to find the famous points of interest that most people will be looking for.

Useful app but info not available from other devices

The information on the NPS Park app is very helpful. It contains detailed information about the parks, history, access, parking, lodging, and other amenities. A few areas of improvement would be: 1. to be able to retrieve information saved on one device from another device For example, if you save all the parks that you have visited over the years onto one phone, you can’t retrieve it from a tablet or laptop. On top of which once you get a new phone there’s no way to transfer the information. You have to enter it all over again since there’s no way to retrieve that history. 2. The app has a lot of good information but is not the most intuitive to navigate. Frequently you are told where you can locate information, but there is no link provided to let you go to that page. 3. A note to the NPS developers. While there are buttons on each page that ask whether the page was helpful, there is no place to provide general feedback so that the end-user could provide suggestions.

Awesome start. Hoping for many more features.

Honestly this is one of my favorite apps. Even if I’m not traveling, I like to load the app and explore parks from afar. I love how much love and energy went into this app. It’s obvious that the content comes from people who love the parks as much as we do. Here’s what I’d love to see: Improve offline access: being able to save parks for offline use is awesome. However, the app spends a really long time trying to load when you don’t have internet access before finally giving an error message and then loading after a delay. I wish the app would start in offline mode (offline is default) and then access the internet once the app is loaded. Sort by ability or activity level: I wish I didn’t have to load every single item in a list to see if a trail or thing is ADA accessible. Maybe add an icon to the items on a list… or add a filter. Passport stamp locations: I love this feature. Can the items on this list be clickable? Take me to the entry for that visitors center, so I can find info on accessing it. More pictures: I’m disabled and physical access can be an issue. It’s so cool to be able to see places I’ll never be able to visit. Show me the super advanced hikes I’ll never get to. And show us more wildlife we might have trouble seeing on our visit! I’ve got a million suggestions but you all are busy people. Thanks for making a cool app. Looking forward to updates.

Virtual tours are live: You'll join a Zoom chatroom with a current graduate student for a preview of campus.

The Office of Graduate Enrollment Management has launched a virtual campus tour option for prospective grad students. The tour will be "live," so a prospective student would join a tour guide (a current grad student) via Zoom and walk through a video of campus.

Tours will last 30 minutes and will give prospective students a chance to 'see' campus and ask questions in real time. Spring 2021 tours will run from mid-January to mid-May.
