Great experience

Lovely Safari Park, I think is the best one so far. I will definitely go again and recommend to friends.

Simply the best value for money day out!

This has to be one of the best attractions for a perfect day that is packed with so many things to do and enjoy... and, at such a great price, coupled with a free return visit. Awesome!

Best family day out

Love it!! Plenty to do and see for all ages, clean and tidy. All staff pleasent and friendly, been going at least once a year for over 30 years and still love going.

Fabulous place Great staff. Spotlessly clean

I have an annual pass so use WMSP a lot. It never fails to impress. Today we did the minibus safari tour with Clive, our tour guide and driver. He was so knowledgeable and helpful. It was a lovely experience.

Great day had by all

Lots of close ups with the animals. There was plenty to do and see. Lots of information available regarding the animals.

As West Midland Safari Park opens up late for the whole of August, discover the perfect way to enjoy the lazy, hazy days of summer.

Come face-to-face with over 1,700 animal encounters and take advantage of extended admission times and even later night rides. This is a marvellous opportunity to visit West Midland Safari Park during the long school holidays, when visitors will have the chance to go on an amazing four-mile safari up to 7pm and see some brilliant animals, from cheetahs to tigers and baby elephants to giraffes! There are plenty of other baby animals around too – how many will you spot? There’s also the chance to visit the African Village, Meerkat Mayhem and Walking with Lemurs, not forgetting Penguin Cove in Discovery Trail and the all-weather facilities that include Lorikeet Landing, Creepy Crawlies, Seaquarium, Twilight Cave and Mark O’Shea’s Reptile World. Don’t forget the Sea Lion Shows, performed throughout the daytime and each evening from the Sea Lion Theatre arena.

West Midland Safari Park will reopen from Monday 15 June as a safari drive-through only - please check the website through the link below for more information.

West Midland Safari Park

The situation.

The leisure industry closed their parks during the pandemic resulting in heavy financial losses. As restrictions began to ease in 2021 West Midland Safari Park opened the doors to kick-start their business and make the most of their budget.

THE CHALLENGE

The goal of this summer campaign was to encourage families to consider West Midland Safari Park for their day out, amongst a myriad of leisure options through implementing a new integrated TV strategy with a shift towards digital video. This allowed TV and digital to work in sync, reaching the target Midlands audience on a frequent basis. The campaign’s aim was to drive awareness of the reopening in a competitive post-lockdown market and maximise the budget to convert brand awareness into online ticket sales.

THE SOLUTION

  • I mplemented a data-led TV & TVOD strategy targeting core regional areas using ITV. Defining customers to regions enabled us to index audiences and align TV schedules to customer purchase behaviours.
  • Secured a very competitive radio competition with Heart traffic & travel sponsorship.
  • Ultra-targeted, data-led display and video marketing were launched for maximum exposure around high footfall areas in Birmingham and other central Midlands areas. All display aligned and synced with TV activity to drive incremental reach and generate brand interest.
  • Online display targeted users who are family focused, have children and are in the market for days out with 1.25-hour drivetime geo targeting around the park. We used insights from summer 2020 activity to inform the strongest audiences, inventory, time of day/day of week, and formats. We also retargeted non-purchasing visitors to encourage subsequent sales.

THE RESULTS

Could the next success story be yours we think so.
