New York City is traditionally broken up into five-boroughs: Manhattan, the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island. To the west, there's the island of Manhattan where you'll find most of the iconic attractions like Central Park, The Empire State Building and Times Square. It might be a good idea to give yourself plenty of time to explore this borough. To the north of Manhattan is the Bronx, known for Yankee Stadium and famous Bronx Zoo. Over on the eastside is Queens where you can explore a variety of museums off the beaten path like MoMA PS1, Queens Museum and New York Hall of Science. Central Park : You could easily spend all day at this park. It's home to numerous movie filming locations like Wollman Rink, known for most ice-skating scenes in New York City and Bethesda Terrace, that gorgeous arched terrace with the fountain outside of it with the angel on top, popular with romcoms. Just walk around the park and you'll get a sense of deja vu. The park is also home to the Central Park Zoo and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Statue of Liberty : A gift from the French, she's become a symbol of America. You can only reach her by ferry so make sure to book your ticket in advance to get an up-close and personal look and learn more about this piece of American history.

Empire State Building : Songs have been inspired by this building, the New York skyline wouldn't be quite as stylish without it. While not the tallest building in the city, this 102-story art deco inspired building still offers an amazing view of the city.

Times Square : If you're brave enough come for the epic New Year's Eve ball drop, otherwise come to marvel at the brightly lit square in all its glory on any other day of the year. It's located at the junction of Broadway and Seventh Ave and is surrounded by popular attractions, restaurants and shops.

Trip Itinerary

New York Arrival

Arrive in New York City and transfer independently to your hotel where you will meet with your Tour Director in the evening.

New York – Philadelphia – Washington D.C.

We depart New York for Philadelphia, where we spend the morning exploring the historic district of the City of Brotherly Love and the birthplace of a Nation. See the Liberty Bell, and stroll through Independence National Historic Park and Mall. Then continue to the Nation’s capital, Washington, D.C.

Washington D.C.

Enjoy a city tour with such highlights as the U.S. Capitol Building, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, the White House and Arlington National Cemetery, site of the JFK Memorial. Spend the remainder of the day exploring some of the many museums comprising the Smithsonian Institute or simply stroll the banks of the Potomac River.

Washington D.C. – Gettysburg – Niagara Falls

Today, visit Gettysburg National Military Park, site of one of the most decisive battles during the American Civil War, and the place where Abraham Lincoln gave his famous address in 1863. We then travel through upstate New York to Buffalo and finally cross the international border into Canada, where the thundering noise and mist of Niagara Falls permeates the air.

Niagara Falls – The Great Lakes – Detroit

Spend the morning sightseeing at Niagara Falls. Stroll along Table Rock and view the thundering waters of Horseshoe Falls. In the late afternoon, return to the United States, crossing the border and continuing to your hotel in a suburb of Detroit, known as “Motor City USA”. Enjoy an evening at leisure.

Detroit – Chicago

This morning starts with first a visit to the Rouge Factory followed by the Henry Ford Museum. After time exploring the many exhibits of the museum we will visit the nearby Ford plant and watch a modern production vehicle roll off the ever busy factory floor. We then leave the Motor City behind and travel inland to the south of Lake Michigan to reach Chicago for our overnight stay.

Today we will enjoy a short tour of the city’s highlights including Lake Shore Drive, the Magnificent Mile and Navy Pier. The Windy City’s stunning high rise architecture and one of the world’s tallest buildings, the Willis Tower (admission not included), provide a dramatic backdrop for this cultural and financial center. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Chicago – Mississippi River Crossing – Sioux Falls

Travel through Midwest farm country abundant in corn fields, wheat fields and dairy farms. Then we cross the mighty Mississippi River and travel into the state of Iowa to arrive just as Lewis & Clark did 200 years ago on the banks of the Missouri River. Overnight in Sioux Falls.

Sioux Falls – Badlands National Park – Mt. Rushmore National Memorial – Deadwood / Rapid City

Travel westward through the grasslands of South Dakota and onwards to Badlands National Park, once home to the buffalo and antelope, and filled with strange shaped and colorful rock formations. Then we continue on to the Black Hills, sacred to the Plains Indians and home to Mount Rushmore, an enormous monument to four of the great presidents of America: Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln and Roosevelt.

Deadwood/Rapid City – Bighorn Mountains – Cody

Enter the state of Wyoming, which has twelve mountain ranges intermixed with deserts and rolling grasslands, and continue to Cody for the night. If overnight in Cody is not possible due to weather or adverse road conditions in Yellowstone, overnight will be in Billings/Livingston, Montana.

Cody – Yellowstone National Park

Drive past the mountains in Wyoming to Yellowstone, America’s first National Park, and enjoy a sightseeing tour of this immense geothermal wonderland, including: geysers, waterfalls, wildlife and canyons. Highlights will include Yellowstone Lake, Old Faithful, Mammoth Hot Springs, Yellowstone Canyon’s majestic falls, and the beautiful Hayden Valley.

Yellowstone – Grand Teton National Park – Salt Lake City

Travel through Grand Teton National Park (weather permitting) and see awesome mountain peaks towering over 13,000 ft. (4,000 meters). Visit the Snake River Outlook and try your eye at capturing the stunning landscape made famous by Ansel Adam’s iconic shot. This prairie land is home to wild buffalo (Tatonka!), moose and elk. Later, arrive in the Mormon State of Utah and take a short city tour of its capital, Salt Lake City. The followers of Brigham Young built one of the best-planned cities in the country. See the State Capital building and visit famed Temple Square and the Tabernacle before arriving at the hotel for the evening. May we suggest dinner at the Rooftop Restaurant for panoramic views of Temple Square (optional).

Salt Lake City – Bryce Canyon National Park

Continue today to spectacular Bryce Canyon, where a tour through a multi-colored world of sandstone spires and pinnacles, "hoodoos", will dazzle the eye. This evening, weather permitting, be sure to gaze upon the spectacular night sky filled with sparkling stars & brilliant constellations.

Bryce Canyon - Lake Powell - Grand Canyon - Flagstaff

Depart Bryce Canyon this morning and journey to stunning Lake Powell, where crystal blue water laps against towering red-rock canyon walls. Lake Powell is the second-largest manmade lake in America, and one in a series of lakes formed by the damming of the Colorado River. Then visit colossal Grand Canyon National Park, one of the seven great natural wonders of the world. Stop at the Canyon rim to fully experience this mile-deep canyon’s plunging gorges, rising spires, extinct volcanoes, and below the rim, the winding Colorado River. Overnight in Flagstaff, a famed stop on historic Route 66.

Flagstaff – Seligman/Route 66 – Las Vegas

This morning depart Flagstaff and travel on to Las Vegas, the dazzling “Entertainment Capital of the World”. Along the way, pass through Seligman, a town built along the famed Route 66 that looks as if it were frozen in time sixty years ago. The remainder of the day is at leisure for you to explore the famous Las Vegas strip.

Las Vegas – Mojave Desert – Beverly Hills – Los Angeles

Travel to Los Angeles via the Mojave Desert, home of the world’s tallest thermometer, at 134 feet (41 meters) high. Clusters of unique Joshua trees dot the mountainous landscape. Upon arrival in Los Angeles you will enjoy a tour through the City of Angels including Hollywood, Sunset Strip and parts of Beverly Hills, after which your tour concludes.

What people love about USA Tours from New York City

A hectic and fast paced trip, starting with early mornings. Loved Niagara Falls and being able to go to the Canadian side for one night (remember to apply for a Canadian Esta and bring your passport). Pennsylvania and Amish country side was a treat. Wish we had more time there. Love hearing about American history. Then Washington DC- amazing city. We disembarked after touring DC monuments and aeronautical museum and spent two more days in DC. Wharf, eateries, sights and monuments within reach.

A lot of travelling but you get to see a lot in a short amount of time. Excellent guides!

If you’re one of the projected record-breaking 70.9 million travelers going on a Fourth of July trip, get ready to pack some patience. 

“With summer vacations in full swing and the flexibility of remote work, more Americans are taking extended trips around Independence Day,” said Paula Twidale, senior vice president of AAA Travel, in a statement. “We anticipate this July 4 week will be the busiest ever with an additional 5.7 million people traveling compared to 2019.”

Whether you’re going by airplane or car, traveler numbers are hitting historic highs. An estimated 5.74 million people will fly to their Independence Day destination, a 7% increase from 2023. (We can thank domestic airfare being slightly cheaper this year for that.)

This year, 2.8 million more people will travel by car than last year, for a total of 60.6 million travelers. According to AAA partner and rental car company Hertz, cities like Dallas, Los Angeles, Denver and San Francisco are showing the highest rental car demand.

As is typical with holiday travel, the early bird will catch the worm, which means encountering the least traffic. Drivers should depart on their Independence Day road trips before noon on July 3 and 4. To return home, drivers should leave before 11 a.m. on July 7 and after 7 p.m. on July 8. 

What are the worst times to drive for Fourth of July week?

“Drivers in large metro areas can expect the worst traffic delays on Wednesday, July 3, as they leave town, and Sunday, July 7, as they return,” Bob Pishue, transportation analyst at INRIX, said in a statement. “Road trips over the holiday week could take up to 67% longer than normal.”

On July 3 and 4, drivers should avoid being on the road between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., when traffic will be most congested. On Friday, July 5, the worst traffic will be between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. 

On Saturday, July 5, the worst traffic for travelers returning home will be between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. The worst traffic is expected July 7, so drivers should avoid the road between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. 

“Travelers should monitor 511 services, local news stations, and traffic apps for up-to-the-minute road conditions,” Pishue said.

That’s always entertaining and fun and gets people off to a happy start. There’s songs from the ‘[A] Momentary Lapse of Reason’ and ‘The Division Bell’ albums. I mean, I think ‘High Hopes’ is as good as anything we ever did at any time.”

Timberlake was arrested early June 18 in Sag Harbor Village, on the eastern end of Long Island. Police officials told The Times last week that the singer failed to stop at a stop sign and failed to remain in his lane.

Since then, several reports have shed light on the arrest. CNN published surveillance video of Timberlake driving in the Hamptons, and Page Six reported that the singer allegedly told a cop unaware of his celebrity that the arrest was “going to ruin the tour.” When the officer asked “What tour?” Timberlake replied, “The world tour.” The report quickly went viral with social media users meme-ing the singer’s remark .

A bartender for the hotel where Timberlake allegedly drank before his arrest confirmed the singer’s claim that he had only one martini before his arrest, People reported.

“If he was drinking more, it wasn’t here,” another hotel employee told the outlet.

Another day, another photo of Ben Affleck looking less than thrilled.

The “Deep Waters” star was spotted leaving his Los Angeles office Thursday with a stern face after his wife, Jennifer Lopez, visited him there following  her solo Europe trip .

The movie star appeared to wrap up a long day of meetings as he headed out dressed in a black suit with a white dress shirt. He carried a briefcase in one hand and (unsurprisingly) a coffee in the other .

It’s unclear if he was rocking his wedding band , which he seemingly takes on and off depending on the day.

Affleck’s unenthusiastic walk out of his office also came after he moved out all of his belongings from his and Lopez’s $60 million marital home they purchased last year and are now reportedly trying to offload .

Earlier this month, People reported that Affleck, 51, “never liked” the 38,000-square-foot Beverly Hills, Calif., mansion because it was “too far away from his kids.”

Meanwhile, the “Dance Again” singer, 54, reportedly thought the sprawling estate was “too big.”

Divorce rumors have been swirling ever since Lopez attended the Met Gala in May solo.

Since then, it has been reported that the singer thinks she has done everything she can to save their reportedly rocky marriage.

“Jenny has had enough and she really tried but she can do no more, it’s not getting any better, it’s worse,” an alleged music industry insider previously told the Daily Mail.

Furthermore, a source told Page Six in May that Affleck would “divorce on grounds of temporary insanity” if he could.

“He feels like the last two years was just a fever dream, and he’s come to his senses now and understands there is just no way this is going to work,” our insider added.

Affleck and Lopez  eloped in Las Vegas  in July 2022 and held a formal ceremony for family and friends at his Georgia estate the following month.

Their five combined children were present at the wedding as well.

Affleck shares Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner , while Lopez has 16-year-old twins, Max and Emme , with her ex, Marc Anthony.

Lauv Plots Special ‘One Night In’ Mini-Tour

Pop singer-songwriter Lauv has announced a special “One Night In” mini-tour for this fall that will include a handful of dates on the East and West coasts.

The short-run kicks off Sept. 21 in Boston at the Leader Bank Pavilion before continuing Sept. 23 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Following a performance at the Love Letters Festival in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Sept. 28, Lauv will play two separate Greek Theatres — first in Berkeley, California, on Oct. 2, the second in Los Angeles on Oct. 3. Alexander 23 will provide support at Lauv’s four headlining shows.

Tickets for all four shows will go on sale Thursday, June 27, at 10 a.m. local time, while artist presale is scheduled for June 26 at 10 a.m. local time. Fans can sign up for pre-sale access on Lauv’s website now.
