I have been absolutely OBSESSED with OMG and hype boy by Newjeans….they are the next BLACKPINK but BLACKPINK will never die down. No hate btw.I also like ditto and attention. I mostly watch the choreography videos because I like to learn the dances and record myself so the dances to see what I can improve. Newjeans has helped with improvement of the dancing. Newjeans has an easy, cute, kind of outgoing concept, that is my favorite part about them. If you don’t like Newjeans….just give them a chance. YOU WILL LOVE THEM!

NewJeans make surprise new single album announcement and tease 2025 world tour

The K-pop girl group also announced a two-day fanmeet at the Tokyo Dome this June

NewJeans have made a surprise announcement of two new single albums and a 2025 world tour – find all details below.

The K-pop girl group have been teasing new music since the beginning of this month, and have unveiled not one, but two new single albums. NewJeans shared the announcement via their app Phoning, where they revealed the first single album will drop on May 24, and then on June 21.

The first single album will be called ‘How Sweet’ and will feature its title track and another song called ‘Bubble Gum’. Then, they will release a Japanese single album to mark their official debut in Japan, with a title track called ‘Supernatural’ and a second song called ‘Right Now’. Both single albums will include instrumental versions of their two songs.

To celebrate, NewJeans will hold a two-day fan-meet concert called the ‘Bunnies Camp 2024’ on June 26 and 27 at the Tokyo Dome.

Finally, NewJeans have also announced they will embark on a world tour in 2025. Dates have not yet been released for this tour.

NME  spoke with NewJeans last year , where they opened up about their Y2K revivalism: “It’s kind of like bringing back the old trends from maybe when our parents were our age,” Hanni said.

“I like that whole cycle of trends being connected. And also, it means that our parents can kind of connect to the Y2K trend because of all the retro, ’90s styling and stuff. For that to be a part of our music and image also leaves us a lot of room for creative expansion as well. It doesn’t really hold us into one area.”

We also reviewed their debut EP ‘Get Up’ last year , which we gave five stars: “As first years go, NewJeans’ had been nothing short of a dream even before ‘Get Up’. Now, though, with six more flawless songs and yet more songwriting credits for Haerin and Danielle, they’re capping off their first 12 months and introducing the next round in divine style.

“Thanks to this mini-album, all eyes will continue to be on them and we couldn’t be more excited to see where they go next.”

NewJeans took the stage at Tokyo Dome for its Bunnies Camp 2024 fan meeting on Wednesday (June 26), the first of two days the breakout K-pop group performed at the venue for its first-ever headlining show in Japan .

The venue brimmed with intense anticipation before the show began, and when NewJeans actually appeared on stage, the crowd erupted into a fierce frenzy that felt like it would blow off the roof of the stadium. But the five members — including Hyein, who had been on hiatus to recover from a foot injury — showed no signs of nervousness in the face of such a spectacle and went on to hype up the audience with live renditions of their signature songs such as “Attention” and “Cookie,” amplifying the energy of the original songs many times over with assistance from a band consisting of guitarist Kazuki Isogai (SANABAGUN.), bassist Kazuki Arai (King Gnu), keyboardist Yudai Ohi (SANABAGUN.), and drummer Soy. Although there were concerns about Hyein’s condition, she looked well and made a strong comeback, impressing fans with her vibrant, cool performance.

The girls also covered J-pop songs ranging from classic to contemporary to the delight of the audience, including performances of Vaundy’s “Odoriko” (Dancing Girl) by Minji, Mariya Takeuchi’s “Plastic Love” by Hyein, and Seiko Matsuda’s “Aoi Sangosho” (Blue Coral Reef) by Hanni. Moreover, the girls not only sang these songs, but also created a unique space where the content of each song and the members’ personalities were fused together, as in the performance of “Odoriko,” where Minji threw down her bag with a determined look on her face and started running, a complete change from the cool demeanor she maintained in the first half of the set. NewJeans is known for its beautiful and fragile image, spearheaded by label head Min Hee Jin, and this aesthetic was brilliantly carried through here as well.

The fan meeting also featured guest acts on both days, and J-pop duo YOASOBI appeared on Day 1 (Rina Sawayama took the stage on Day 2) — not as an opening act, but incorporated into the main set. YOASOBI singer ikura joined the group for “Right Now” as if she were the sixth member, surprising the audience with their coordinated formation. The two acts then segued into YOASOBI’s song “Biri-Biri,” smoothly performing the Pokemon-inspired number featuring a cute melody and solid drum and bass beat that perfectly matches NewJeans’ style.

The members closed the main set with “Ditto,” bringing the show to a happy ending with its pleasant groove and familiar dance moves. Answering calls for an encore, the group returned to perform the last song of the evening, “ASAP,” ending the fan meeting in style covered in a huge amount of confetti. The overwhelming satisfaction from the live performance itself — hard to believe it’s only been two years since the group was formed — as well as the tremendous response on social media after the show (with focus on the unexpected covers), will no doubt lead to even greater enthusiasm for the group.

On march 26, ador announced through the fan communication app phoning that newjeans will release a double single in korea and japan on may 24 and june 21, respectively..

In addition, they announced that the group would hold a fan meeting at Tokyo Dome in Japan on June 26-27 and affirms a world tour in 2025.

NewJeans will have a double single released in Korea in May and Japan in June.

Minzy, Hani, Daniel, Haerin, and Hyein begin full-fledged activities in 2024, starting with the release of a double single in Korea on May 24. This single contains a total of 4 songs, including the title song “How Sweet”, the b-side song “Bubble Gum”, and each song’s instrumental.

Correspondingly, “Bubble Gum” is scheduled to be released as a Japanese advertising song and TV program theme song in the subsequent month.

NewJeans officially debuts in Japan with the release of their Japanese double single on June 21st. This single consists of a total of 4 songs, including the title song “Supernatural”, the b-side song “Right Now”, and instrumentals for each song.

“Right Now” will be released first as a commercial song in Korea and Japan in May. Although it is a Japanese single, they promised to increase accessibility by simultaneously distributing it in Korea and globally.

Accordingly, the group decks their Japan’s first solo performance at Tokyo Dome.

Following the release of their Japanese double single in June, they will hold their second fan meeting Bunnies Camp 2024 Tokyo Dome at Tokyo Dome on June 26th and 27th, and will perform their first solo performance in Japan. NewJeans will set an unprecedented milestone by entering the Tokyo Dome in the shortest period of time (1 year and 11 months) since debut as an overseas artist.
