ULTIMATE RIDE TO WINE AND DINE

‘The Ultimate Ride to Wine and Dine’  will take you on a journey through the magical world-renowned Boranup Forest.

Riding the exceptional dual suspension  GIANT brand of mountain bikes,(or maybe you prefer an Electric mountain bike?) you’ll be immersed in some of the most ancient scenic vistas, highlighted by the natural forest of stunningly tall Karri trees, native to the South West of Western Australia.   Learn about the oceanic influences on the region, the geology and history of the land and discover the magnificent local flora and fauna enroute to Leeuwin Estate.

The ride time is approximately 2 hrs at a leisurely pace.

On arrival at the Estate, enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour, learning about the wine-making process and philosophy, as well as learn about Leeuwin’s famous annual Concert Series.  Celebrating the Art of Fine Wine, Leeuwinn Estate adorns the labels of its premium Art Series wines with paintings commisioned from Australia’s leading contemporary artists, which are displayed in the Leeuwin Estate Art Gallery, which you visit during the tour.

Next enjoy a tutored wine tasting of five iconic Art Series wines, each complimented by a perfectly matched canapé.  A great way to enliven your taste buds in preparation for your two course lunch from the seasonal restaurant menu, accompanied by a glass of wine from the Prelude Vineyards range.

🚑 Should I buy Australian travel insurance?

100% YES!  — Australia has “free” healthcare but it’s only for citizens and permanent residents. Foreigners visiting need travel insurance in case anything happens on their visit. I like SafetyWing  – their Nomad Insurance starts at just $1.50 USD a day!

🚗 Should I rent a car in Australia?

Yes  —  Renting a car  is a necessity in most of Australia! If you want to go on road trips or adventures outside of the major cities, and even if you’re staying in a major city, you’ll want to rent a car. If you are visiting Margaret River, it will be even more important that you hire a car, you’ll need it to be able to get around and see all the great attractions and wineries!

🏨 What’s the best way to book my Australian accommodation?

My go-to for Australian hotels is  Booking.com . Pretty much all registered accommodation use Booking.com (but not necessarily any of the other major booking platforms), and even most of the holiday homes and caravan parks use Booking.com too!

If you’re planning a trip to Australia where you will stay at multiple locations, it’s super handy to have all your accommodation listed in one place, and accommodation owners like Booking.com because it’s easy to contact the guests using the messaging platform if the guest has an international phone number.

I sincerely hope you enjoy your visit to Margaret River!

"I opted for the full day experience with Margaret River Tours, and I wasn't disappointed. What a great day. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable, and the locations were outstanding. The wine wasn't bad either! No, the wine was - as you'd expect - top notch, and so too were the locations and staff/owners involved. If I could give more stars I would, I couldn't recommend more. Help protect the vines that make our special wines.

Margaret River is one of the unique wine regions in the world that can grow vines on their own root system due to the absence of the vine pest Phylloxera (fil-ox-era). The minute aphid-like pest attacks grapevine roots and causes decline in vine health and ultimately impedes the vine’s capacity to produce. For more information visit the Phylloxera website .

Your shoes and clothing can spread pests and diseases.  Please ensure you help protect Margaret River vines from phylloxera and other pests and diseases whilst visiting our region.

  • Please don’t walk amongst our vines.
  • Please do not enter vineyards without permission
  • Please observe biosecurity protocols during your visit.
