This area has been expanding and becoming more and more popular, for good reason. Not surprisingly, the seaport district of South Boston is located beautifully along the water.
Everything to Know About Visiting the ICA Watershed
The Watershed is a seasonal space, meaning it'll be open from Memorial to Columbus Day every year. Anmahian Winton Architects (AW) designed the renovation and restoration, which cost $10 million. The ICA is leasing the space from Massachusetts Port Authority. Every summer, ICA will use the space for a different modern installation.

The former ICA building located at 951/955 Boylston Street, now occupied by the Boston Architectural College. The Institute of Contemporary Art was founded as the Boston Museum of Modern Art in 1936 with offices rented at 114 State Street with gallery space provided by the Fogg Museum and the Busch-Reisinger Museum at Harvard University.

The ICA is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm (until 9 pm on Thursday and Friday). Admission is free for kids 18 and under. General admission is $20, with discounts for students and seniors. The museum reccomends advanced ticket purchases . The ICA offers free admission on Thursday nights from 5pm to 9pm.
