À la manière de Blanche Gardin, voici une demoiselle qui dit des horreurs avec des airs de Sainte-Nitouche. Vérification faite déjà deux fois sur la scène de l’Espace Malraux, puis au Vinci de Tours. Puisque la demoiselle fait le plein à chaque coup, on retrouvera Laura Laune au Centre de congrès tourangeau le 7 mars 2024.

Laura Laune rejouera donc les vilaines petites diablesses au Centre de congrès Vinci le Tours le 24 mars 2024. Grosso modo, dans un an à partir de la date où nous écrivons. Ce qui laisse le temps de trouver une place mais sans en perdre trop. La cogneuse belge fait le plein à la vitesse d’un éclat de rire à chaque fois… 

Laura Laune revient avec  Glory  Alléluia , un spectacle qui joue sur les mots (ceux qui connaissent auront décrypté le titre, les autres tenteront de le faire en regardant l’affiche où des micros traversent les murs vers la main de l’artiste)…

Si vos enfants vous demandent pourquoi, dites-leur de chercher sur internet, s’ils ne l’ont pas déjà fait. Sinon, ils attendront leur majorité.

Et puis, de toute façon, ce n’est pas parce que Laura Laune raconte des histoires qui ressemblent à des contes de fées, ni parce qu’elle a été prof (elle a enseigné le dessin technique et la technologie pour… les soudeurs et bétonneurs) qu’il faut amener les gosses… 

Dans un humour noir décapant et une irrévérence totale, la folie angélique de Laura Laune et de ses personnages emplis de paradoxes donne des frissons : est-elle innocente ou méchante ? Consciente de ses propos où simplement folle à lier ?

Das Heiva I Tahiti ist zweifellos der schönste Ausdruck der polynesischen Kultur. Es ist die Begegnung zwischen einem Volk und seiner Kultur, die jahrhundertealt und immer noch im Alltag der Polynesier verankert ist. Internationales Festival des ozeanischen Dokumentarfilms (FIFO)

Das FIFO ist ein unumgängliches Treffen für Liebhaber von Dokumentarfilmen. Es ist ein Fenster nach Ozeanien und lässt jedes Jahr die Stimmen, Kulturen und Probleme Ozeaniens über die Grenzen unseres großen Ozeans hinaus erklingen.

Es ist auch eine einzigartige berufliche Gelegenheit für die Medien und den audiovisuellen Sektor im Pazifikraum: die Möglichkeit, die Regisseure und Produzenten der ausgewählten Filme zu treffen und an Konferenzen, Workshops und anderen Veranstaltungen teilzunehmen, die Sie in die audiovisuelle Welt des Pazifikraums eintauchen lassen.

Das Festival feierte 2023 sein 20-jähriges Jubiläum und befasst sich weiterhin mit verschiedenen Themen wie Kultur, Umwelt, Gender… Ozeanien steht im Zentrum der großen zeitgenössischen Herausforderungen.

Olympische Spiele Surfen

Paris 2024 wird eine einzigartige Feier des olympischen Geistes sein. Vier Sportarten werden zum ersten Mal bei den Spielen vertreten sein, eine davon ist das Surfen. Im Rahmen des Engagements, jeden Winkel des französischen Territoriums in dieses großartige Sportfest einzubeziehen, wurde Teahupo’o als Austragungsort für den Surfwettbewerb gewählt. Es ist das erste Mal, dass ein französisches Überseeterritorium direkt an den Olympischen Spielen teilnehmen wird.

Teahupo’o 2024 wird nicht nur ein großartiger Schauplatz für einen Surfwettbewerb sein, sondern auch eine Gelegenheit, die Schönheit und Authentizität der Inseln von Tahiti zu zeigen und zu fördern.

Hawiki Nui Va’a hat sich für die Tahitianer und viele andere im Südpazifik zu einem der größten Sportereignisse des Jahres entwickelt.

Rennen in Schaukelkanus (Va’a auf Tahitianisch), allein oder im Team, die Tahitianer sind die Könige dieser Disziplin bei internationalen Veranstaltungen.

Mehr als 2000 Pirogenfahrer treten zu diesem 80 Meilen langen Rennen an, das an drei Tagen zwischen den Inseln Huahine, Raiatea, Taha’a und Bora Bora stattfindet. Hunderte von Fans feuern sie an, von den Booten aus und vom weltberühmten Strand von Matira bis zur Ziellinie in Bora Bora.

Das Hawiki Nui Va’a-Rennen ist die ideale Gelegenheit, die Gesellschaftsinseln (Huahine, Raiatea mit der UNESCO-Weltkulturerbestätte Taputapuatea) zu erkunden und die traditionelle polynesische Lebensweise am Leben zu erhalten.

Xterra-Triathlons

Die Xterra Tahiti vereint verschiedene Sportveranstaltungen über mehrere Tage hinweg. Gov. Laura Kelly recognizes Juneteenth as state holiday

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - With an important proclamation, Governor Laura Kelly celebrated the Juneteenth holiday with the Kansas African American Affairs Commission.

“I’m just delighted that after years of trying to get this done, the African American Affairs Commission was able to get through celebrating Juneteenth as an official state holiday,” said Kelly.

Even though Kansans of color have observed Juneteenth for years, Kelly has officially recognized the holiday since 2020.

“We’ve been celebrating for a while, but to have the holiday as a statewide holiday, and the governor sign the proclamation, that’s big,” said Pastor Carl Frazier, Executive Director for Topeka Center for Peace and Justice.

While it’s important to commemorate days like Juneteenth now, some believe it’s just as necessary to look at the holiday’s history.

" I think it’s hugely important that our children learn from our past, all children learn from our past because it’s not just black history, it’s American history,” said Anthony Lewis, a commissioner for the Kansas African American Affairs Commission. " And so I would encourage all educators to embrace, and teach all of the history so that we won’t definitely repeat it.”

It’s also a time to reflect on current inequities in Kansas and beyond.

“I believe that this is an opportunity for us to talk about that, honor our diversity, and celebrate our diversity,” said Lewis. “But also think about the barriers that are impacting access and the barriers that are impacting opportunities for all Kansans.”

The Juneteenth holiday is June 19th, this Wednesday. There will be a parade that day, starting at 11 a.m. in Downtown Topeka. Afterward, there will be a program at Evergy Plaza. Food trucks will be available.

Amid 60 acres of jungle stood a stately, crumbling hacienda, a portico of Moorish arches stretching out 120 feet. When the new owners closed their eyes, they could see the flickering tea lights and billowing white curtains, hear the din of chatter and laughter at a long table, feel a dog brush by underneath. That would all come to fruition, but first it would have to stop raining.

Kirar and Frazier hadn’t been looking for a house, but routinely they’d travel. In addition to the inn and shop, Mesón Hidalgo , she runs in nearby San Miguel de Allende , the interior designer has projects in Mexico, the U.S., and overseas and new collections with Arteriors and Kallista in the pipeline.

On the road “we’d fall in love with something, and I’d have it designed on the plane before we got home,” says Kirar. “But this was not that.” What it became was an ambitious undertaking for this designer who harbored a dream of hosting her siblings and all their kids—seven under the age of 15.

With rooms dating to 1680, and newer sections from the 1890s, the project has been part restoration and part “contemporizing,” as the designer calls it. A decade in, Hacienda Subin, named for a local tree, now has dozens of rooms revived, a new pool and a coral pink poolhouse, and terraced gardens and courtyards built as if they were simply unearthed. In a way, they were—nearly all the stone was sourced from compromised foundations.

The main decor thrust was to leave well enough alone. Much of the property was left intentionally in a state of ruined splendor, albeit now structurally sound. “It breaks my heart to see renovated old houses, especially here in Mexico, with the age taken out of them,” says Kirar.

The most notable new element, the poolhouse, with casement glass windows inside a plaster shell, wears a coral pink matched from patches on another structure’s ancient walls. Kirar posits that shade was once iron-oxide red, now subdued by centuries of elements and echoed in the living room and salon.

The guest bedrooms are clad in local pasta tile (a colorful cement tile traditional to this part of Mexico) in a conventional pattern but placed offset to add a touch of modernity. The built-in wardrobes are trimmed in a ziggurat pattern inspired by an existing architectural detail. These new design decisions were based on close listening, not a feverish plane-ride brainstorm. “We were constantly asking the house what it wanted to be and it told us,” Kirar says.

But how do you listen to a house exactly? The designer recounts her thinking around one of the property’s stone structures tumbling on three sides, archaic, and theatrical. A magical site for a studio, she had deemed. “I’ll leave the walls and build new ones inside them, glass and steel, double height,” she recalls. As the restoration began, her gut told her to pause. “I thought, You don’t have to do something to everything.” She left it as is.

Piles of seashell-encrusted limestone were evidence of other structures on-site, offering plentiful materials for terraced gardens and a sunken patio, an ideal dance floor for future parties. It felt in keeping with the Spanish Colonial styling to place a fountain in its center, but Rana season states otherwise, the couple learned—any body of water is a playground for the tiny jungle frogs with their outsize voices.

“They’re quite, quite loud…and those stone walls act like an amphitheater,” Kirar says, wincing. This is not what she means when she talks about listening to the house. A “water mirror” was the solution, a sheath of water recirculating around an ancient Mayan stone column. Lo siento, frogs.

The Kirar family has made many a pilgrimage, but more often Hacienda Subin is animated by Kirar and Frazier’s chosen family, whom they call for regular get-togethers, typically potluck, pool, and pétanque. A pair of friends was married in the chapel, its ceiling beautifully unrestored.

And about that tumbling-down room, the would-be studio site: “When I was actually in that space, not looking at it on paper, those walls were saying, ‘You don’t need to dress me up. I’m fine the way I am.’” And soon it was co-opted as a center pit for cooking in the traditional Yucatecan style. “We’ve prepared many a Thanksgiving turkey that way,” Kirar reports, saying folks come to watch and help and then mosey back to dine at that long table with the flowing white curtains framing the scene. “I talk as if this house is a person,” says Kirar. “And it tells me it’s the happiest when it’s full of people.”

Kirar sets a lively dinner party scene on the portico with a color blocked tablecloth (Gregory Parkinson for Kneeland Co. ), hand-woven sisal placemats (Laura Kirar Design), vine-covered antique Oaxacan dinnerware, and guava-hued hand-loomed cotton napkins adorned with papier-mâché napkin rings (both Mesón Hidalgo ).

In a guest bedroom dubbed Cuarto Japonese, Kirar refashioned an antique Japanese bamboo screen into a headboard. Cuarto Morocco Bathroom

For a guest bedroom named Cuarto Morocco, Kirar designed a fanciful bath pavilion complete with a gold leaf crown.

In Cuarto Gemellos, a pair of antique Mexican twin beds, whose headboards are crowned with religious oil paintings, are dressed in matching striped coverlets ( Zara Home ) and 1940s floral saltillo blankets. Gray bed pillows, Calvin Klein .
