There are lots of posts about how the new Instagram algorithm has changed and lowered engagement but no matter I still like using it. One of the best ways I have found to increase engagement within my niche is to use good hashtags. Hashtags I particularly like are those that are used in Instagram communities. for those of you that don’t know what this is, it means that when you use the hashtag, the creators and followers of this hashtag are likely to engage and secondly you have a chance to be featured in (the usually) roundup of the best posts featuring this hashtag. Getting Ready to Travel Instagram Photos and Facebook Posts

They say the joy of travel is divided into three parts: anticipation, participation and memory.

You can start to enjoy your trip, and share it, even before you walk out your door. Let folks in on the packing process. Tell your followers why you selected a particular bag to pack in. Seek (and get) valuable advice from others who have been there and done that.

Try on vacation outfits/items, snap photos and ask for feedback.
Take a photograph of your calendar with the date you will be travelling circled (optional: do a countdown in stories)
Show your packing process
Snap a picture of your bags by the door or curb
Share your plan for your pets, if applicable and get a photo of them in your suitcase (obviously they want to come.)
Show your luggage loaded in the car (best for group travel when it all barely fits!)

Vacation Instagram Posts & Social to Share En Route

You may think that people aren't all that interested in what you ate at the airport and where you sat on the plane but you would be wrong! Sharing your experiences, both good and bad, helps others plan for their own travels. This makes those posts both valuable and interesting. People actually do want to see what the food is like on different airlines, whether you can get decent coffee at the airport, and what the seatback entertainment options are on your route. Family and friends also enjoy traveling along with you, virtually. And last, of all, these posts will serve as a memorable journal that you'll be happy to review in the future.

Snap a photo of your boarding passes
Take a photo of the departures board at the airport/train station
Show the view out the window of the car/plane/taxi
Capture a photo of the airport sign, or an airport feature such as a mosaic floor (with your feet in the photo).
Take and share a photo of your plane/bus/train with info about the type of vehicle you'll be traveling on and about your travel route
Snap a photo of your airplane seat/row for your stories. Include friends and family traveling with you.

Now we are diving in! Although you may not end up posting all of these images, take as many as possible. These types of photos really give you a sense of place, and will bring back all the feels of what it was like to be there. Think about the places where your eyes naturally linger. It’s estimated that there are some 1.074 billion (yes, billion ) Instagram users worldwide, with new accounts signing up daily. With so many Instagram accounts out there, how do you choose which ones to follow?

I love Instagram for travel inspiration, in particular for finding new destinations to discover with my own kids. So, putting together a list of some of my favourite family travel influencers on Instagram was an easy task. There are lots of travelling families out there who inspire, inform and uncover some of the coolest spots around the world. Some travel full time, others make the most of school holidays and there are a handful of families who have chosen to up sticks and live overseas.

Rather I’ve chosen them for their beautiful photography, for sharing their stories and for being inspiring. I like to follow family travel influencers who travel responsibly, who visit interesting destinations, who have a cohesive feed (so no random photos of lunch if they don’t typically post food shots), and who post regularly.

Get The Most Out Of Your Hashtag Strategy

While it’s tempting to go for the top hashtags that have millions of posts, it’s best to keep to this smart strategy:

About 2 hashtags that have more than 1 million posts
6 to 8 that are between 500,000 and 1 million posts
6 to 8 that are between 250,000 and 500,000
8 to 10 under 250,000

This gives you anywhere between 22 to 28 hashtags that you’re using, enough to give you visibility.

Instagram’s maximum recommended total for hashtags is 30.

I tend to use about 20 hashtags, as that’s my sweet spot – but for me, lately, it’s mostly home decor posts as I’m doing less travelling (that’s when this list of home decor hashtags comes in handy).

Savvino-storozhevsky monastery and museum.

Zvenigorod's most famous sight is the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery, which was founded in 1398 by the monk Savva from the Troitse-Sergieva Lavra, at the invitation and with the support of Prince Yury Dmitrievich of Zvenigorod. Savva was later canonised as St Sabbas (Savva) of Storozhev. The monastery late flourished under the reign of Tsar Alexis, who chose the monastery as his family church and often went on pilgrimage there and made lots of donations to it. Most of the monastery’s buildings date from this time. The monastery is heavily fortified with thick walls and six towers, the most impressive of which is the Krasny Tower which also serves as the eastern entrance. The monastery was closed in 1918 and only reopened in 1995. In 1998 Patriarch Alexius II took part in a service to return the relics of St Sabbas to the monastery. Today the monastery has the status of a stauropegic monastery, which is second in status to a lavra. In addition to being a working monastery, it also holds the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum.

Belfry and Neighbouring Churches

Located near the main entrance is the monastery's belfry which is perhaps the calling card of the monastery due to its uniqueness. It was built in the 1650s and the St Sergius of Radonezh’s Church was opened on the middle tier in the mid-17th century, although it was originally dedicated to the Trinity. The belfry's 35-tonne Great Bladgovestny Bell fell in 1941 and was only restored and returned in 2003. Attached to the belfry is a large refectory and the Transfiguration Church, both of which were built on the orders of Tsar Alexis in the 1650s.

To the left of the belfry is another, smaller, refectory which is attached to the Trinity Gate-Church, which was also constructed in the 1650s on the orders of Tsar Alexis who made it his own family church. The church is elaborately decorated with colourful trims and underneath the archway is a beautiful 19th century fresco.

Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is the oldest building in the monastery and among the oldest buildings in the Moscow Region. It was built between 1404 and 1405 during the lifetime of St Sabbas and using the funds of Prince Yury of Zvenigorod. The white-stone cathedral is a standard four-pillar design with a single golden dome. After the death of St Sabbas he was interred in the cathedral and a new altar dedicated to him was added.

Under the reign of Tsar Alexis the cathedral was decorated with frescoes by Stepan Ryazanets, some of which remain today. Tsar Alexis also presented the cathedral with a five-tier iconostasis, the top row of icons have been preserved.

Tsaritsa's Chambers

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is located between the Tsaritsa's Chambers of the left and the Palace of Tsar Alexis on the right. The Tsaritsa's Chambers were built in the mid-17th century for the wife of Tsar Alexey - Tsaritsa Maria Ilinichna Miloskavskaya. The design of the building is influenced by the ancient Russian architectural style. Is prettier than the Tsar's chambers opposite, being red in colour with elaborately decorated window frames and entrance.

At present the Tsaritsa's Chambers houses the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum. Among its displays is an accurate recreation of the interior of a noble lady's chambers including furniture, decorations and a decorated tiled oven, and an exhibition on the history of Zvenigorod and the monastery.

Palace of Tsar Alexis

The Palace of Tsar Alexis was built in the 1650s and is now one of the best surviving examples of non-religious architecture of that era. It was built especially for Tsar Alexis who often visited the monastery on religious pilgrimages. Its most striking feature is its pretty row of nine chimney spouts which resemble towers.
