American air travel is soaring to new heights

The US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) screened a staggering 2.99 million passengers at airports across the country on Sunday — the highest number in a single day.

But it’s only going to get busier as summer travel takes full flight.

This coming Friday, the TSA says it expects to screen more than 3 million plane passengers ahead of Independence Day.

The number of Americans taking to the skies is up substantially when compared to last summer, with the TSA predicted to scan 32 million between Jun. 27 and Jul. 8 — an increase of 5.4% on those days last year.

Meanwhile, the agency says seven of the top 10 busiest travel days ever have occurred in the past month.

“We expect this summer to be our busiest ever and summer travel usually peaks over the Independence Day holiday,” TSA Administrator David Pekoske said in a statement on Tuesday.

“The traveling public is on the move, which is a sign of a healthy economy. We are ready, along with our airline and airport partners, to handle this boost in passenger volumes,” he added.

The TSA is prepared for the increased number of travelers, saying they are “staffed to meet its wait time standards, which are 10 minutes and under in TSA PreCheck lanes and 30 minutes and under in standard screening lanes.”

Industry group Airlines for America said US carriers have also prepared for the increased demand in flights.

Between Jun. 1 and Aug. 31, the carriers are operating more than 26,000 daily flights — up 5.6% over 2023.

However, if your check-in goes smoothly, don’t expect to get off the ground on time.

The Federal Aviation Administration is struggling to address a persistent shortage of air traffic controllers, which will likely delay flights across the country.

Terminal Maps

When I'm traveling, I like to take a few minutes to learn about the airports I'm flying out of, through, or into. That way, I can learn where my gates are, what's nearby, and where to eat if I have a few extra minutes. Oneworld members can reference this webpage for maps of oneworld airports and terminals , as well as information on oneworld-related lounges.

In larger airports, oneworld transfer desks and customer service desks will be marked with the oneworld logo. At the desks, staff can assist oneworld members with connections or transfers.

Keep in mind, as one of the benefits of the oneworld program, baggage will (generally) be transferred between member airlines, through to your destination.

Baggage Information

No matter where I'm traveling or which airline I'm traveling on, I always have to double check baggage requirements. They've been changing so often, and so fast, that I don't want to take the chance of taking too many bags, or packing too much into my bags, so that I get charged for excess baggage.

Columbus life.

Columbus Life offers a wide range of riders to customize your policy with affordable premiums. The company also allows you to convert term policies to whole life insurance policies until the end of your term (generally around age 70). For this and many other reasons, customer satisfaction is high.

When using living health benefits (otherwise known as accelerated death benefits), buyers are allowed to pull money from policies early to pay for medical bills, living costs, etc. under certain circumstances. Most companies use a discounted death benefit, which reduces your final payout using two models. Columbus uses the lien method, which makes it easier to calculate the financial impact of pulling money out early.

Allianz life.

Allianz Life plans are geared towards high-income adults looking for more tax-free income. Allianz offers a 40% multiplier bonus with a 1% annual assets charge. North American Company offers term policies alongside accelerated death benefits for critical, chronic, and terminal illnesses and more. The company allows one conversion on a 20-year policy at 15 years or 70 years old (whichever is earlier). The conversion cannot happen later than the five-year marker regardless of which policy you choose or the length. North American Company also offers a term policy with a lower premium renewable up to the age of 95 for qualifying insureds.

Types of Life Insurance

While there's many different types of life insurance policies , broadly speaking, there are two types of life insurance: temporary and permanent. Let's go over each in detail.
