Legendary metal band Judas Priest comes to Sioux Falls this September
A legandary heavy metal band, with a storied history of more than 50 years, is headed to Sioux Falls this September.
Judas Priest will rock Sept. 22 at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center as part of their Invincible Shield Tour, with special guest Sabaton expected to open show. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, starting at $39.50.
Influencing generations, the group formed in 1969 in Birmingham, England, but they didn't hit their stride until the mid-to-late '70s, according to a press release from the Center.
That came with four albums that helped put the band beyond others in the genre, with 1977's "Sin After Sin," 1978's "Stained Class" and "Hell Bent for Leather," and 1979's "Unleashed in the East."

That launched the group into the 80s, with four more albums, some of which brought notable anthems like "Breaking the Law," "Living After Midnight," "Heading Out to the Highway," and "You've Got Another Thing Coming."
The band members Rob Halford, Glenn Tipton, Ian Hill and Scott Travis were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022, and they remain on the map with 2018's "Firepower" being the highest charting album of their career and a 2010 Grammy Award win for "Best Metal Performance," the release states.

Tour of Homes returns to Siouxland homes

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — After offering tours in apartments and hotels the past two years, Big Brothers Big Sisters is returning its tour of homes event to Siouxland homes.
The organization announced Tuesday its residential route for the 2022 Tour of Homes. Some of the featured homes will be in in the Whispering Creek area. They’ll be decked out with festive decor from area interior designers.
The holiday extravaganza isn’t just for show. Tour ticket sales benefit big brothers big sisters operations.
“You cannot surround enough positive adults around kids, right? but they at least need one. The Big Brothers Big Sisters and the impact that they have on these kids that maybe don’t have those individuals in there life is the biggest reason why we’re very happy to open our homes to all the great people of Sioux City,” said participant, Jeff Carlson.
This year students with the Sioux City Career Academy will be desgining one the homes as aprt of their interior design class.

Services are provided to patients living within a thirty-mile radius of the Hospice and Home Care office. We do not discriminate against age, race, religion, sex, nationality, color, handicap, or the ability to pay.
Reimbursement
Hospice and Home Care at Sioux Center Health is a licensed and certified provider of independent & assisted living for seniors . Services are typically covered by Medicare, Medicaid, or other insurance carriers. Hospice and Home Care will provide services regardless of ability to pay.

The Sioux Center Tour of Homes will once again be held this year on Nov. 18-19 as a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. The tour will take place on Friday, Nov. 18, in the evening from 4-8:30 p.m. Saturday's event will run from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. This will be the 14th Tour of Homes and the organizers can't wait for this year's event.
