Regent All Inclusive Scandinavia Cruises

regent cruises norway

Bergen, Norway

Norway's second-largest city, Bergen is the gateway to the country's mesmerizing fjords. Walking, Segway and double-decker bus tours bring you to Bryggen wharf, the 12th-century trade center that now is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the district's shops, galleries and art studios, and visit the Hanseatic Museum to learn about the merchants who once lived and sold here. The city is surrounded by seven mountains, and a funicular railway ride to the top of the tallest peak, Mount Floyen, reveals postcard-worthy views. Other notable attractions include St. Mary's Church, the town's oldest structure; the seasonal fish market, with its fresh seafood, fruit and vegetables; the Bergenhus Fortress Museum, which highlights Norway's role in World War II; and an aquarium, where you can observe sea lions, crocodiles and more. On a catamaran cruise to the picturesque Osterfjord and Mostraumen strait, sample ice-cold mountain water your captain captures from a waterfall.

Norway is a true celebration of the great outdoors. With a population of just five million inhabiting this staggering landscape of fjords and mountains, a holiday to Norway is the ideal choice to find an uninterrupted slice of wilderness.

Norway holiday experiences vary with the seasons. In winter snow sports like cross-country skiing and snowshoeing introduce visitors to Norway’s natural environment. When May comes around, the vast expanses of snow recede to the mountaintops, uncovering an alluring landscape of craggy boulders and rugged peaks, glacier-carved fjords and verdant green valleys.

Tromsø , Norway’s Arctic capital, provides the perfect base for a winter adventure, with whale-watching trips departing from the city harbour, reindeer, dog sledding and snowmobile safari’s just a short drive away, and northern lights viewing opportunities abundant.

In fact, with winter aurora safaris boasting a sighting success rate of over 90%, this is one of the best places in the world to see the northern lights.

For something a little different, consider Alta or Kirkenes , two of Norway’s more remote, Arctic communities. Think snow-swept fjords, Arctic tundra, wild reindeer and experiential properties like luxurious log cabins , the world's northernmost igloo hotel , or Norway’s very own snow hotel .

Lofoten and Vesterålen   are two of Norway’s prettiest archipelagos, where traditional red fishing villages cluster at the feet of soaring mountains, home to sea and white-tailed eagles, entice hikers and photographers alike. Ideal for independent travellers, this idyllic stretch of coast is well suited to summer fly-drives  or cosy northern lights getaways .

Norway's famous fjords come alive during the summer months. Geirangerfjord is renowned for being the most beautiful fjord in the world. Norway’s King of the Fjords , the Sognefjord is Norway’s largest and one of the most stunning, and the gentler slopes of the Hardangerfjord provides a beautiful contrast between the turquoise waters and the sloping fruit fields and orchards.

Norway’s two largest cities, Oslo and Bergen are excellent places to start a fly drive or scenic rail holiday and offer vibrant city life, while southerly Stavanger is an excellent choice for a city break to the magical Lysefjord which boasts some of Norway’s most famous hiking trails .

For intrepid travellers, the remote island of Spitsbergen provides adventure of epic proportion; situated half way between the northern tip of mainland Norway and the North Pole, the winter months are illuminated only by the northern lights as the sun sits below the horizon for 24 hours, while in the summer the sun rises and never sets allowing visitors to bask in the Arctic under the midnight sun. I sailed on two Norwegian cruises — one that's $685 a night and one that's $130. Here's how I think they compare.

  • Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings operates three brands: Norwegian, Regent Seven Seas, and Oceania.
  • Mass-market Norwegian and ultra-luxury Regent Seven Seas target travelers from different demographics.
  • See how NCLH's cheapest and most expensive cruise operators compare in amenities, price, and overall experience.

Insider Today

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings isn't always known for its caviar dinners and complimentary Champagne. But to some wealthy cruisers, these luxuries could be synonymous with the company.

The cruise giant oversees three brands: mass-market Norwegian Cruise Line, premium Oceania Cruises , and ultra-luxury Regent Seven Seas Cruises. As the cheapest and most expensive operators, the former and the latter couldn't be more different.

See how two of Norwegian and Regent Seven Seas' newer cruise ships compare — and which could be the best for you.

Norwegian Cruise Line's Prima — the traditional option with splashy, family-friendly amenities

In October 2022, Norwegian Cruise Line invited me on the Norwegian Prima's non-revenue inaugural sailing. At the time, the 3,100-guest vessel was the newest addition to the brand's family and one of its most popular products yet.

The cruise line touts itself as a "family-oriented" brand. And after four nights on the 965-foot-long Prima , I agree.

Like many new mass-market ships , the $1.1 billion vessel was as much a floating resort as it was an amusement park.

The Prima's upper decks are a dream for any bored child. Here, families can indulge in the water and dry slides, escape rooms, virtual reality arcade, and tri-level go-kart track, to name a few amenities.

Most of these seemed like unusual additions to a cruise. But after going on a very casual virtual alien-slaughtering rampage by way of an uncomfortably bulky headset, it's easy to see why these flashy activities have made the Prima a hot cruise for families .

It's not everyday entertainment on land, nonetheless a ship.

These decks' booming sound effects, bright structures, and hyperactive children could be overwhelming for any adult.

That's when it's time to head to the adults-only pool lounge, comedy club, or cocktail bar.

For some reason, the go-kart track has a bar as well. Don't think too much about its implications.

In the theater, Prima's entertainment could appeal to cruise show haters. Performances during my sailing included "The Price Is Right Live" and "Summer: The Donna Summer Musical."

As a sometimes cruise cynic, I must say both were unexpectedly enjoyable.

And as far as staterooms go, my family balcony cabin was roomy and flexed plenty of storage, modern details, and an unfortunate eye-sore of a mural.

But like other mass market cruises, travelers could easily blow past their vacation budget once on board.

The Prima's most enticing amenities — the VR arcade, mini-golf course, and go-kart track — are all pay-to-play.

If you get bored of the five complimentary dining venues, the Starbucks and eight specialty restaurants — including sushi and Italian pasta — will also cost extra.

However, one of the "free" options includes an 11-venue food hall, which is still one of my favorite cruise dining experiences.

Norwegian has since welcomed its 19th vessel, the Norwegian Viva .

In 2024, Viva's itineraries start at $1,200 per person for a 10-day cruise, while Prima's cheapest is $900 per person for a seven-day sailing.

Related stories

As sister vessels, many of their amenities are the same.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises' Grandeur — the ultra-luxury option with ultra-expensive fares

Regent Seven Seas is smaller than its mass-market sibling, both in the size of its fleet and vessels.

The operator only has six ships. Its newest, the Seven Seas Grandeur , accommodates 746 guests.

Its fares are as exhilarating as the Prima's go-kart track. The Grandeur's cheapest 2024 itinerary starts at $4,800 per person for seven nights.

A cool $685 per night might seem expensive. But hear me out: What you pay is what you get.

As an all-inclusive cruise line , this fare can include roundtrip flights, pre-cruise hotel, and food, alcohol, and excursions.

Need to do laundry? No problem. That's included as well.

In December 2023, Regent Seven Seas invited me on the Grandeur's non-revenue "christening" sailing. The best part was the food.

The $516 million floating hotel doesn't serve run-of-the-mill cruise meals. During my three nights at sea, I dined on sturgeon caviar, seared foie gras, and black truffles — and they'd all be at no additional cost to passengers.

For all the drinkers, the wine and cocktails flowed as freely as the lobster and filet mignon.

The Grandeur was built to be luxurious, tranquil, and generally kid-free.

There are no loud waterslides, arcades, or go-kart tracks. Instead, travelers can spend their afternoons at a cooking class, reading in the library, or playing bocce.

Parts of the Norwegian Prima can only be accessed by guests who've booked more expensive cabin categories.

But because everything on the 735-foot-long Grandeur is included in its price — sans spa treatments and some expensive wines and excursions — almost nothing on the ship is off-limits.

This includes afternoons in the sauna, cocktails at the lounges, and espressos at the coffee shop.

With no overstimulating onboard activities, I thought I would feel bored for most of the sailing. But to my surprise, I was relaxed — an emotion I had never associated with cruises.

Sure, the gym was too small, the nighttime "Marauders' Ball" show too cringe, and the $6 million in on-board art (including pieces by Pablo Picasso) too ostentatious.

But these negatives were quickly forgotten during the peaceful afternoon tea service and whenever I returned to my concierge suite .

The 332-square-foot cabin, my most sumptuous cruise stateroom to date, came with an unexpectedly spacious balcony, a walk-in closet, and a marble-accented bathroom with — wait for it — a bathtub.

Forget a cruise ship! I want those amenities in my New York City apartment. I would've moved into my Grandeur cabin if I had the money.

Norwegian Cruise Line and Regent Seven Seas Cruises couldn't be more the opposite

The brands follow two approaches to cruise pricing . Regent Seven Seas is expensive but all-inclusive. Its mass-market counterpart is more affordable but at the expense of having irresistible pay-to-play amenities.

These models then lay the groundwork for the ships' intentions. Norwegian Prima seemed designed to foster exhaustively fun, activity-filled trips. Seven Seas Grandeur is the opposite; instead conducive to a relaxing and quiet vacation.

What's best for you depends on what you want — and what you can afford.

If money isn't a problem, Regent Seven Seas' ships can provide a five-star hotel experience with the convenience of cruising. However, Norwegian is best for families, especially if parents need amusement park-like amenities to distract their young ones.

Norwegian Cruise Investor Day: More Ships, More Premium – And Cost Cuts

Sean O'Neill , Skift

May 22nd, 2024 at 2:55 PM EDT

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings is setting its sights on the premium market, enticing well-heeled travelers with the promise of more balcony cabins and a "ship-within-a-ship" concept that caters to multigenerational cruisers.

Sean O'Neill

Norwegian Cruise Lines Holdings unveiled adjustments to the company’s strategy as part of its investor day for analysts.

The company, whose brands span Norwegian Cruise Line , Oceania Cruises , and Regent Seven Seas Cruises , had a culture established by its founder, Frank Del Rio, who retired last year. Executives said the company now needs a culture more focused on efficiency. “We believe our team can collectively deliver better, and we will,” said CEO Harry Sommer .

Here are key takeaways:

“A Ship Within a Ship”

  • Adding capacity : Norwegian ordered eight new cruise ships, which will add almost 25,000 more berths after they all come online by 2036.
  • Balcony Bump: The core customer base includes travelers in the middle- and upper-income tiers. Thus, many of its new ship designs are tilting premium. They’ll include a higher mix of balcony cabins, which bring in twice the revenue of interior cabins and are more profitable.
  • Changing the cabin mix : When families have multi-generational trips, not everyone can afford the same level of service. In response, Norwegian aims for what’s metaphorically a ship-within-a-ship concept.
  • Something for everyone : “Maybe the rich grandparents want to be in pure luxury, where they have all the amenities, concierge, butler, private dining, but still have the amenities of a big ship, with lots of entertainment, other dining venues, lots of activities to do at night,” said David Herrera, president of Norwegian, in a CNBC interview .

regent cruises norway

Streamlining operations

  • Cutting costs : Norwegian wants to cut $300 million in recurring costs over the next three years. It has created a team looking for surgical cuts. Two-thirds of the planned savings will likely come from ship operating costs, followed by marketing and other functions. “It 100% starts with changing the culture,” said Mark Kempa, chief financial officer.
  • Port power play : One way to save money is to use port facilities more efficiently. Today 65% of the group’s itineraries involve the same top-10 ports for departure. By 2026, the goal is to have 80% of routes depart from those ports. Florida ports are broadly cheaper than sailing out of Europe and Alaska, and the company plans more itineraries from the Sunshine State to the Caribbean.
  • AI to attract guests : Norwegian said it’s investing in AI to streamline operations, from revenue management to customer service. Execs said the company did a better job of monitoring data quality and increased its marketable database by 77% between 2019 and last year. They added that tests of quasi-personalized campaigns were promising.
  • AI to make more efficient route maps . The company uses AI-driven predictive models to optimize itinerary planning by integrating revenue and cost data. These models can also help trim the company’s carbon footprint.
  • AI to enhance pricing . Norwegian taps revenue management systems to predict guest purchasing behavior and discover how to maximize revenue from cabin upgrades and other onboard sales.

New financial targets

  • Margin call : Norwegian aims to increase its adjusted EBITDA margin by 800 basis points to 39% by 2026, a record percentage of revenue.
  • Stemming the tide of debt : The company intends to slash its leverage to the mid-4-times-earnings range by 2026. Its net leverage ratio, calculated as net debt divided by adjusted EBITDA, stood at 7.3-times-earnings at the end of 2023. Last year, Norwegian returned to a profit for the first time since 2019 .

Norwegian Cruise Line Looks to Cut Costs and Debt—‘No Sacred Cows’

N orwegian Cruise Line Holdings’ finances took a hit during the pandemic, as ships stopped sailing, and it had to raise billions of dollars in capital to stay afloat. Now, the company is looking to clean up its balance sheet.

This means generating more cash to pay down debt, which during the pandemic ballooned by more than $4 billion. The Miami-based company behind the Norwegian, Regent Seven Seas and Oceania cruise lines is also planning to slash $300 million in costs by 2026, with $100 million in reductions coming this year. “We are maniacally focused on that,” Chief Financial Officer Mark Kempa said of deleveraging the balance sheet.

“We’re trying to eliminate waste from the business, and that could be from anywhere,” he said. “There are no sacred cows.”

Cruises screeched to a halt in 2020 after Covid-19 cases spread, and the industry was initially slow to rebound. But demand has returned, cruise company executives have said, which along with operational efficiency efforts, gives Norwegian confidence it can improve its cash flows. Norwegian reported record bookings, 8% capacity growth and $2.2 billion in revenue for the quarter ended March 31, up 20% compared with the prior-year period. The company last week raised its guidance for the second time this month, raising expected adjusted earnings before interest, taxes and depreciation and amortization to $2.3 billion from $2.25 billion.

Would-be cruise passengers decide to take a trip nine to 10 months before they travel, Kempa said. Once on board, if travelers aren’t feeling as financially sound as when they booked, they tend to refrain from spending, he said. Norwegian looks at both metrics—bookings and spending on board—to assess its consumers’ strength, and “we are not seeing any sort of cracks,” the CFO said.

The demand helps with paying down debt, Kempa said. The company during the pandemic raised around $8 billion in debt and equity. Of the more than $4 billion in debt, Norwegian has paid down around $2.3 billion through the first quarter of the year, and the CFO expects to pay down around $1 billion in each of the next couple of years. Norwegian’s total debt for the quarter ended March 31 was $13.7 billion.

The remaining portion of the roughly $8 billion came in the form of equity, with Norwegian diluting shareholders by nearly 100% to raise capital, he said. The company may repurchase some of those shares in the future, but paying down the debt is the first priority, the CFO said at an investor day last week.

Norwegian is also looking for $300 million in costs to cut, Kempa said. To do this, an internal group that reports to the CFO is looking across the business for improvements, he said. They benchmark against the company, the cruise industry and the broader travel and leisure sector to determine whether jobs can be done better or differently.

While there is an overall dollar figure to hit, Kempa said he hasn’t set targets for cuts from each part of the business. “I can go in and bang the door and say, ‘You’ve got to find me 5% in cost savings,’ but people are going to look at me and say, ‘You’re crazy,’” he said. The company has approached cuts that way before, but Kempa said it isn’t a long-term fix.

The $100 million in cuts for this year has already been identified, Kempa said. Roughly two-thirds will come from reducing the ship operating cost base as well as marketing, selling and administrative spending. The rest come from all parts of the company, he said. The sources for the remaining $200 million haven’t been identified yet, but they will likely be similar and may also involve head-count cuts, according to the CFO.

Even as Norwegian gives priority to cutting costs, the cruise company will spend to grow, according to Kempa. But the bar is high, he said. “We’re not afraid to reinvest where it makes sense, but we’re very, very critical and we’re very, very choosy on what we want to reinvest in.”

Norwegian’s cost structure has been in need of repair for at least the last 18 months, said Steve Wieczynski, a managing director at Stifel. The company took on debt during the pandemic, as did others in the industry, but it diluted shares more than some peers, he said. Wieczynski pointed out that cruise rival Royal Caribbean’s dilution was in the low 20% range. Norwegian’s costs under previous management also ran higher than peers.

But the company has made leadership changes, including with a new chief executive last summer, and is working to get costs under control, according to Wieczynski. “It seems like they’ve really dug in to get their hands around the cost structure,” he said. “And if they can execute, there’s probably going to be upside.”

Norwegian Cruise Line 2024 Investor Day Takeaways: She Sails Despite Debtweight

Uttam Dey profile picture

  • Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings has underperformed its peers in terms of stock market returns.
  • The company has updated its guidance for FY24, showing slight improvements in net yields.
  • Norwegian's focus on growth areas, such as ordering new ships and investing in private islands, could lead to additional growth in 2024.
  • My models still see ~25% upside after I account for debt servicing.

Investment Thesis

Barring Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings ( NYSE: NCLH ), cruise stocks generally enjoyed 2024 with the organic demand tailwinds in their sail. Carnival Corp. ( CCL ) returned over 40% in 2023, while the largest cruise operator of them all, in terms of market cap, Royal Caribbean Cruises ( RCL ), delivered at least twice the returns as compared to Carnival Corp. in 2023. Compared to them, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings delivered sub-par performance, returning low double-digit returns in the stock market.

On a year-to-date basis, Norwegian’s stock continues to languish at the bottom, as seen in Exhibit A below, after projecting growth targets that missed consensus estimates .

Norwegian Cruise Line’s stock has severely underwhelmed so far in 2024

Exhibit A: Norwegian Cruise Line’s stock has severely underwhelmed so far in 2024 (sa)

Norwegian concluded their 2024 Investor Day, which showed some improvements in contrast to their previous FY24 projections.

Based on my analysis of Norwegian Cruise Lines' improved forecasts, I believe the stock now provides a compelling outlook, leading me to initiate a Buy rating on the stock.

Note: I will be referring to Norwegian Cruise Lines as just Norwegian in this note.

Updates to Guidance in 2024 Investor Day

First, Norwegian’s management batted itself into a corner in their Q1 earnings call when they projected a full-year FY24 outlook for the company’s expected net yield to grow 6.4% versus FY23. Net yields are an important headline metric for cruise operators that accounts for revenues earned from passenger ticket pricing and items passengers spend onboard the cruise, such as dining, massage, onshore activities, etc., after costs such as agent commissions, transportation, and other expenses.

Per Norwegian’s management, this was supposedly an upgrade in their outlook given that they had previously forecasted net yields to grow just 5.4% y/y in FY24. Obviously, this was not well appreciated, especially when Norwegian’s peers were guiding their respective FY24 net yields to grow in the ~10% mark. This definitely put pressure on Norwegian’s management, and they came out on Investor Day with some more updates to their FY24 guidance, with net yields looking slightly better. I have added this to the table below.

Here’s a screenshot from their Investor Day presentation that summarizes key forward-looking metrics in Exhibit B below.

Norwegian’s updated FY24 outlook

Exhibit B: Norwegian’s updated FY24 outlook (2024 Investor Day Presentation, Norwegian Cruise Lines)

Based on their updated net yield growth figures, that should translate to at least $9 billion in expected revenue this year, per slide.

One can see how Norwegian’s previous expected net yields were falling far behind the competition. This either pointed to slowing consumer trends that were uniquely seen in Norwegian’s cruise business or to management being conservative.

But Norwegian’s management sounded more optimistic in their Investor Day presentation versus their Q1 FY24 presentation as they presented growth areas that they were prioritizing.

The Miami-based cruise operator mentioned they have ordered 13 new ships, 4 of which are expected to replace aging ships this year, subject to financing. Each of these 13 ships is expected to increase passenger capacity by at least 9% on a per-ship basis, with their higher-end Oceania cruise ship capacity expected to increase by over 20% and their luxury line, Regent, seeing ships that will increase capacity by 13%. This seems promising since both their Oceania and Regent lines have a share of high-net-worth-income [HNI] cruisers. I’ve added a slide below in Exhibit C that shows how management plans to deploy their ships across cruise locations by 2026.

Norwegian Cruise Ship Deployment Plan by 2026

Exhibit C: Norwegian Cruise Ship Deployment Plan by 2026 (2024 Investor Day Presentation, Norwegian Cruise Lines)

Management also mentioned initiatives around investments that focus on private islands in the Bahamas/Belize region. This was also stated by management in their Q1 FY24 call, where they mentioned investments being made, especially in the Bahamas’ Great Stirrup Cay.

Investing in private islands is a smart idea, in my opinion, and is quite similar to the strategy used by its larger peer, Royal Caribbean, since this expands the scope for passengers to spend more onboard.

The bullish case for growth in Norwegian

There are two reasons why I believe Norwegian could see additional growth in 2024, and one of them is ironically the reason that constrained Norwegian’s from issuing stronger guidance.

First, the entire cruise industry continues to see growth in 2024, and most cruise operators announced record bookings in their individual Q1 earnings reports. According to the CLIA , as seen in Exhibit D, the number of ocean-going passengers is expected to rise by 12.6% in 2024, and growth is supposed to normalize between 2024 and 2026 at a ~4.4% CAGR more in line with the pre-pandemic growth rates of 4.5%.

Cruise tourism to remain resilient in FY24

Exhibit D: Cruise tourism to remain resilient in FY24 (CLIA)

The second reason that I find unique to Norwegian is based on the strength of their cruise passenger demographic, which sees them spend a lot more on the cruise. Per the Investor Day presentation, 84% of the company’s bookings originate from the USA/Canada region and are a mix of GenX and Millennial higher income passengers. The mix of HNI cruisers means more spending while on the cruise in addition to revenues that are earned from ticket bookings. In Exhibit E, I show how higher spend by passengers onboard Norwegian’s cruise vessels meant Norwegian saw relatively higher Onboard Revenue growth in FY23.

Norwegian’s passengers spend relatively higher once onboard the ship

Exhibit E: Norwegian’s passengers spend relatively higher once onboard the ship (Company sources)

In my opinion, this is a very meaningful revenue segment for Norwegian because Onboard Revenue accounted for ~49% of Norwegian’s revenues in 2023. Here’s another slide from their Investor Day that shows how customers spend onboard Norwegian’s cruise ships.

Passengers spend on Norwegian’s Cruise Ships

Exhibit F: Passengers spend on Norwegian’s Cruise Ships (2024 Investor Day Presentation, Norwegian Cruise Lines)

Given that cruise operators have reported strong bookings through Q1, I believe these trends will uniquely boost Norwegian’s outlook as we proceed through the year when most cruises have already set sail. I believe management will be conservative in guiding FY24 numbers since it is usually easier to predict bookings from ticket sales than onboard revenue.

These trends, in my opinion, will create lumpy performances in the first half of FY24 but should get better as we move through the second half of FY24, assuming there are no macroeconomic shocks that reverse the consumer spending outlook.

Norwegian’s Capital Structure Risks

I will admit that Norwegian’s balance sheet is a big risk, especially if the economy swings into recession, halting all consumer spending, especially discretionary spending.

There is no secret here that Norwegian is a debt-heavy business, which has gotten even larger after the company had to raise its debt levels by almost two times while at the same time diluting its share base to raise enough funds to keep the business afloat.

Per its recent 10-Q , Norwegian is severely indebted, carrying ~$14 billion in debt and about half a billion in cash. That means Norwegian will have to walk a thin line, refinancing its debt at interest rates it deems most favorable for itself and its shareholders while raising its cash flow outlook.

But as long as demand sustains and consumers continue to spend on cruises, Norwegian should be able to inch closer to holding debt leverage closer to its pre-pandemic levels. Management has issued some meaningful guidance towards raising cash flow targets into 2026, as I have attached in Exhibit G below.

Norwegian’s FCF targets through FY26

Exhibit G: Norwegian’s FCF targets through FY26 (2024 Investor Day Presentation, Norwegian Cruise Lines)

At the same time, management has also guided towards driving its debt leverage lower to its pre-pandemic levels, as I have illustrated in Exhibit H. While its interest coverage ratios are still low, I expect them to be higher based on my outlook for their adjusted EBITDA and management’s FCF outlook.

Norwegian’s Debt Leverage Goals

Exhibit H: Norwegian’s Debt Leverage Goals versus past trends (Company sources)

Despite its debt load, Norwegian has upside

My valuation models suggest that after I account for all the interest expenses towards servicing its high debt levels, I still believe Norwegian has upside. Here are my assumptions:

As laid out in Exhibit B and other sections, I expect sales will grow faster than their guidance levels. For now, I assume growth rates are in line with the cruise market and its peers in the high single digits. I also expect the total market growth rates to improve through the year, so I may update my revenue growth rates for Norwegian higher through the year.

I expect management to achieve at least 20 b.p. of adjusted EBITDA margin expansion on average per year between 2024 and 2026. Note that management has already guided FY24 adjusted EBITDA of around ~2.3 billion, which represents a margin expansion of 270 bp.

Discount rates of 13.2% to account for higher risk due to its debt load versus some micro-assumptions .

I have assumed a significantly higher share outstanding base of ~470 million. This is because Norwegian’s management has already guided a share dilution of ~$90 million, or ~10%, in FY24 to service some of its debt. I have added slightly higher dilution rates to account for the margin of error. Post FY24, I expect dilution rates to stabilize to ~1% as higher FCF yields should help in servicing debt.

Norwegian's Valuation Model

Exhibit I: Norwegian's Valuation Model (Author)

Based on my forecasts, I estimate adjusted EBITDA to be growing 13–14% while revenue should be growing in the 8–9% range. This should warrant a double-digit forward earnings multiple if I compare Norwegian’s EBITDA growth rate to the S&P 500 . However, after I account for ~$750 million of interest expenses to service debt, the net adjusted EBITDA left for investors to value implies a forward PE of ~5.

Based on my calculations, after accounting for debt servicing, I believe Norwegian still has between 24 and 26% upside. Of course, the company’s capital structure risks make this less appealing, leading me to recommend a Buy rating. Otherwise, I would have attached a Strong Buy rating.

Norwegian Cruise Line does have enough reason for investors to be skeptical about the stock. The inability to guide towards higher growth rates on par with its peers has not appealed to investors so far in 2024. At the same time, the company’s capital structure makes this less favorable to a broader range of investors.

However, I see strong demand in the cruise business, which should keep the momentum going for Norwegian. Plus, Norwegian’s unique customer mix of high-net-worth individuals should propel the company’s revenues higher into FY24.

I recommend a Buy on Norwegian Cruise Line’s stock.

The best Alaska cruises for every type of traveler

Whether you're in it for the sightseeing, wildlife spotting or relaxing among glaciers, there's an Alaska cruise for you

Lauren Dana

Alaska is among the most popular summer vacation destinations since it’s (pretty much) the only time of year the state offers warm, sunny weather and hours of extra daylight (on my summer 2022 trip here, I remember looking at my iPhone and being surprised that the sun still hadn’t set by 9pm!). In my opinion, cruising is, by far, the best way to experience the massive state and all the beauty it has to offer since you won’t need to drive or hop on a handful of flights; plus, you’ll only need to unpack once! (The views, of course, are just the icing on the proverbial cake.)

As you scroll through our top picks for the best Alaska cruises, it’s worth noting that most options include scenic cruising through Alaska’s Inside Passage, a 500-mile-long coastal route world-renowned for its wildlife, glaciers and postcard-worthy scenery. (I’ll never forget the awe I felt when watching a whale breach from the 11th deck of my cruise ship or the glacier-studded views I ogled from the comfort of my private balcony.)

Below, I’ve broken down the best Alaska cruises for every type of traveler, including budget-conscious cruisers, adventure-seekers and luxury lovers alike.

Best Alaska cruises

Holland America Line’s Alaskan Explorer

1.  Holland America Line’s Alaskan Explorer

Best overall experience.

Cruises from: Seattle (roundtrip) Sailing dates: May through September 2024

I was fortunate enough to cruise Alaska with Holland America back in August 2022 aboard the line’s uber-popular, aptly named Alaskan Explorer itinerary. Cruising roundtrip from Seattle, the seven-day journey features scenic cruising through Stephens Passage before arriving in Juneau, where my sister and I embarked on my favorite shore excursion of the trip: A dog sledding adventure! The following day, we cruised through Glacier Bay before arriving at Icy Strait Point for a few hours, which we spent whale-watching—to this day, it is one of my most cherished travel memories. Afterward, we headed to Sitka, where we went rafting and spotted wildlife like puffins and adorable sea otters before wrapping up the adventure in the final two ports of call, Ketchikan and Victoria, British Columbia.

The onboard offerings were equally impressive, with nightly live music and some of the best fish and chips I’ve ever eaten (Holland America is the first cruise line to serve 100 percent fresh and certified sustainable Alaska seafood on board). Just this year, the line unveiled its Glacier Guarantee : Guests are guaranteed to visit a glacier during their sailing; otherwise, they’re entitled to a Future Cruise Credit equal to 15 percent of their cruise fare.

Celebrity Cruises’ Alaska Dawes Glacier

2.  Celebrity Cruises’ Alaska Dawes Glacier

Best upscale option.

Cruises from: Seattle (roundtrip)

Sailing dates: May through August 2024

Celebrity Cruises offers an upscale onboard experience with plenty of chic hangout spaces, stylish restaurants and contemporary staterooms. For the first time, the spectacular 2019-era Celebrity Edge—known for its 29 restaurants bars and lounges plus innovative spaces like the Magic Carpet , which the line has deemed “the world’s first cantilevered, floating platform that reaches heights of 13 stories above sea level”—will homeport in Seattle. She’ll cruise to Alaska via the seven-night Alaska Dawes Glacier itinerary, including scenic sailing through Endicott Arms and the Inside Passage. As you can likely tell by its name, guests aboard this itinerary will cruise alongside the striking Dawes Glacier, which stands over 600 feet tall and can be further inspected via a thrilling shore excursion. Ports of call include Juneau, Skagway and Victoria (British Columbia).

Crystal’s Vancouver to Vancouver

3.  Crystal’s Vancouver to Vancouver

Best luxury cruise.

Cruises from: Vancouver (roundtrip) Sailing dates: July 2024

For a truly memorable Alaska sailing, splurge on Crystal’s seven-night Vancouver to Vancouver itinerary—and thank me later. As you can guess by its name, the 740-passenger Crystal Serenity will sail roundtrip from Vancouver, cruising through Canada’s glacier-studded Seymour Narrows before calling on Sitka and Skagway, respectively. Afterward, you’ll enjoy scenic cruising through the Endicott Arm fjord before one last port stop in Ketchikan. While in port, cruisers can embark on bucket-list-worthy excursions such as wildlife spotting tours, kayaking adventures and fishing. The on-board programming is equally impressive: All passengers, regardless of their room category, enjoy private butler service; Wi-Fi; a selection of wines, champagne, spirits and non-alcoholic beverages like water, soft drinks and specialty coffees; free gratuities; and one complimentary reservation to each of the two specialty dining restaurants, including the first and only Nobu at sea (yes, that Nobu).

Lindblad Expeditions–National Geographic’s Exploring Alaska’s Coastal Wilderness

4.  Lindblad Expeditions–National Geographic’s Exploring Alaska’s Coastal Wilderness

Best for wildlife spotting.

Cruises from: Juneau to Sitka and vice-versa Sailing dates: May through September 2024

Lindblad Expeditions and National Geographic have teamed up to offer a handful of one-of-a-kind Alaska sailings specially suited for true adventure-seekers. The Exploring Alaska’s Coastal Wilderness itinerary, which sails from Juneau to Sitka and vice-versa (depending on your desired sail date), invites cruisers to experience Alaska’s natural landscapes and wildlife up close and personal with guidance and unique insight from an onboard expedition team . Along the way, partake in adventures like hiking through forests, cruising around icebergs via Zodiac, or searching for puffins and mountain goats in Glacier Bay National Park. Little ones can also partake in the fun: Children and teens can learn more about Alaska’s landscapes and wildlife with the National Geographic Global Explorers family program. Cruisers will sail on one of two 100-person vessels, National Geographic Quest or National Geographic Venture, both offer a shallow draft that, per the website, allows the ships’ captains to “navigate the inner reaches and provide more intimate experiences.”

Alaskan Dream Cruises’ 2024 Ice of the Inside Passage

5.  Alaskan Dream Cruises’ 2024 Ice of the Inside Passage

Best small-ship option.

Cruises from: Sitka to Ketchikan

Sailing dates: May through August 2024 This brand-new itinerary from Indigenous-owned Alaskan Dreams Cruises is ideal for cruisers craving an authentic small-ship experience. The eight-day voyage departs from Sitka aboard the 49-passenger Baranof Dream. From there, you'll enjoy scenic cruising through Glacier Bay National Park. It’s also worth noting that, because of the ship’s small size, guests can gain an up-close view of seven different glaciers, including Margerie, Grand Pacific, Mendenhall, Sawyer, South Sawyer and Dawes glaciers, plus a high-speed jet-boat excursion to LeConte Glacier.

After cruising Glacier Bay National Park, it’s off to Juneau, followed by more scenic sailing through the Tracy Arm and Endicott Arm fjords (the latter can be explored via kayak or skiff expedition). This itinerary is also unique since it includes a Kasaan stop where guests can immerse themselves in Alaska's native culture by visiting the Haida community. The final port of call, Ketchikan, is known as “The Salmon Capital of the World.”

Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ Flavors of Alaska

6.  Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ Flavors of Alaska

Cruises from: Vancouver to Seward

Sailing dates: June 2024

Cruise the Last Frontier in style with Regent Seven Seas aboard the Seven Seas Explorer, which offers all-suite accommodations equipped with private balconies for soaking in the glacial views. While there are several Alaska itineraries to choose from, Flavors of Alaska , which sails from Vancouver to Seward, is among our favorites since it includes (pretty much) all of Alaska’s most popular ports of call, including Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway and Icy Strait Point, with Hubbard Glacier scenic cruising. As such, it’s an excellent choice for first-time visitors to Alaska. It’s also worth noting that this particular voyage offers up to 50 free excursions, including rainforest and glacier hikes, whale-watching adventures, kayaking and fishing. While this luxury cruise line isn’t cheap, it offers excellent value with numerous amenities already included in the price, such as specialty dining, transfers between the airport and ship, an open bar package, roundtrip air on domestic flights, gratuities and two-for-one fares.

Norwegian Cruise Line’s Alaska: Dawes Glacier, Juneau & Ketchikan

7.  Norwegian Cruise Line’s Alaska: Dawes Glacier, Juneau & Ketchikan

Best for families.

Cruises from: Seattle (roundtrip) Sailing dates:  May through September 2024

Norwegian Cruise Line is renowned for its casual, come-as-you-are atmosphere—for example, there are no set dining times—and breadth of activities and amenities. As such, it’s safe to say this mega-ship line is ideal for families of all ages. This summer, gather the family for an epic Alaska sailing aboard the aptly named Norwegian Bliss, which offers thrilling activities like go-kart racing and laser tag. The itinerary is equally impressive as the vessel itself: After setting sail from Seattle, it’s off to scenic Sitka. The following day, you’ll explore Juneau before scenic cruising through Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier. Passengers will then visit Icy Strait Point (home to the state’s largest native Tlingit village, as well as awe-inspiring wildlife, including orcas and humpback whales, which, if you’re lucky, can be spotted straight from the ship). The final Alaskan port of call, Ketchikan, is renowned for its colorful Creek Street, a former red light district turned tourist attraction, where you can also spot salmon swimming upstream (and even the occasional otter or two). Before heading back to Seattle, you’ll visit Victoria, British Columbia, which just so happens to be one of my favorite ports of call thanks to its charming shops and restaurants coupled with its bustling food scene (fun fact: It’s home to the highest number of restaurants per capita in Canada).

Viking Cruises’ Alaska & The Inside Passage

8.  Viking Cruises’ Alaska & The Inside Passage

Best adults-only.

Sailing dates: May through September 2024

Viking is renowned for its adults-only, all-inclusive cruises (think free spa access; Wi-Fi; one shore excursion per port; wine and soft drinks with onboard lunch and dinner; all-balcony accommodations). Cruisers aboard the line’s 11-day Alaska & The Inside Passage itinerary—where nobody is below the age of 18—enjoy visits to popular ports of call like Juneau, Sitka, Icy Strait Point, Skagway and Ketchikan, along with a stop in Valdez, a small fishing town known for its glaciers, waterfalls and scenic hiking trails, before disembarking in Seward, aka the gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park. The line is also known for its immersive shore excursions, including a visit to Saxman Native Village and animal encounters at the Alaska Sealife Center.

Royal Caribbean’s Southbound Alaska & Hubbard Glacier

9.  Royal Caribbean’s Southbound Alaska & Hubbard Glacier

Best budget option.

Cruises from: Seward to Vancouver

Royal Caribbean is known for its laid-back ambiance and bucket-list sailings aboard its mega-ship fleet, which offer something for everyone, be it water slides, skydiving simulators or escape rooms. With fares ranging from $299 to $625 depending on the date, the seven-night Southbound Alaska & Hubbard Glacier aboard Radiance of the Seas—which offers completely complimentary activities like a rock climbing wall and Broadway-caliber entertainment, not to mention 11 dining options and several bars and lounges—is a great way to experience The Last Frontier without breaking the bank. After embarking in Seward, passengers will enjoy scenic cruising around Hubbard Glacier, followed by port stops in Juneau, Skagway, Haines (famous for its majestic wildlife, including bears and eagles), Icy Strait Point and Ketchikan. Before disembarking in Vancouver, travelers are in for one final treat: Scenic cruising through the Inside Passage.

Princess Cruises’ Seven-Day Inside Passage (with Glacier Bay National Park)

10.  Princess Cruises’ Seven-Day Inside Passage (with Glacier Bay National Park)

Best for foodies.

Culinary connoisseurs can sail to Alaska aboard Discovery Princess, which is among the newest Princess ships to cruise Alaska this season, and the Seven-Day Inside Passage (with Glacier Bay National Park) is one for the books since it calls on Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan and Victoria (British Columbia), along with scenic cruising through Glacier Bay National Park. Also, as part of the line’s “North to Alaska” programming, passengers can partake in unique culinary experiences, including Cook My Catch at the new specialty seafood restaurant, The Cach by Rudi. This unique offering allows cruisers to consume their very own fresh catch caught on a fishing excursion. Foodies can also partake in an onboard salmon cooking demonstration led by expert chefs, along with a four-course seafood feast at the Crab Shack, a lunch pop-up found in the World Fresh Marketplace.

Land programs & hotels.

Discover the natural wonders of southwestern Iceland, a gorgeous landscape of thundering waterfalls, ancient glaciers, geothermal phenomena and unspoiled national parks.

After flying into Keflavik International Airport in Reykjavik, you will proceed to the baggage claim area, and through customs after which you will be met by your driver. Transfer to the Hotel Borg or similar for check in. Once you settle in, you will enjoy the remainder of the day as you please.

Relax and unwind from your flight in your room, enjoy the hotel’s amenities or head out to explore Reykjavik at your leisure.

Your hotel overlooks the beautiful square of Austurvöllur, in the heart of Reykjavík, across from Althingi, the Icelandic parliament and the cathedral. The Borg, which has become one of Reykjavik’s landmarks, is conveniently located within walking distance of variety of restaurants, businesses, souvenir shops, art galleries and specialty shops.

All meals are on your own today.

Check in time at the hotel is 3:00pm

Unused transfers are non-refundable.

Following breakfast and check out at the hotel, you will depart for a full day of touring on the magnificent west coast of Iceland.

Your first stop is at Deildartunguhver, Europe´s most powerful hot spring. It provides 180 l/sec of 100°C hot water.

Most of the water used for central heating in the towns of Borgarnes and Akranes is taken from Deildartunguhver. The hot water pipeline to Akranes is 64 km long, the longest in Iceland and the water is about 78 - 80°C when it reaches Akranes. If you take a shower anywhere within a 65 km radius of the spring, you have already bathed in the hot water from this powerful spring!

Next, get to know little bit about Iceland’s past heroes with a visit to Snorralaug (Snorri’s Sturluson bath) in the small town of Reykholt. Snorri was a poet, historian and politican born into a powerful chieftain family in the 13th century. Although you can no longer bathe here, you will learn how the thermal water from the hot spring Skrifla is led to the basin through a conduit.

Continue your drive to Hraunfossar Lava Falls, a beautiful and unusual natural phenomenal that has been protected since 1987. Clear, cold springs of subterranean water seep through the lava and run as tiny waterfalls and rapids into the Hvita River.

Next, stop at another waterfall, Barnafoss “Children´s Fall”, a magical site in and of itself, twisting, turning, foaming and churning as it races down a narrow valley, from which you can view it from above. Barnafoss has also been a protected site since 1987. You will then head to lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch, another adventure awaits you at the largest of all caves in Iceland, Víðgelmir. It is the size of 148,000 cubic meters, and one of the largest lava caves in the world. It has beautiful ice formations and deep inside there are lava stalactities and stalagmites. Víðgelmir lava cave is considered by specialists to be one of the most remarkable caves on earth.

Finally, you will reach your accommodation for the evening - Hótel Húsafell or similar countryside hotel. A three-course dinner is included.

Following breakfast and check- out, you will depart for the Golden Circle tour ending in Reykjavík.

Drive towards Þingvellir National Park, a remarkable geological phenomenon and the most important historical site in Iceland. Þingvellir is situated by the biggest lake in Iceland called Þingvallavatn, the site of the world`s oldest democratic parliament founded in the year 930. The beautiful canyon running through the park is actually the meeting point of two of the earth`s tectonic plates and the area`s combination of natural phenomena and historical significance make it inseparable from the fabric of Icelandic national life. In 2004 the site of Þingvellir was inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List.

The next stop is Gullfoss Waterfall, which roars through a rugged canyon before plummeting more than 100 feet down. The water from the White River falls in two stages, which adds even more drama to its descent. Gullfoss means Golden Waterfall in Icelandic because of the color of the water, which originates from a sediment-rich glacier.

Drive to Geysir, geothermal area where your will have the opportunity to see hot springs in abundances as well as the famous geyser "Strokkur" that spouts every few minutes, shooting column of piping hot water up to 20m (60 feet). After exploring the highlights on the Golden Circle, the group will enjoy a unique food experience at Friðheimar, a family-owned restaurant.

Followed by lunch guests can opt to take a dip at The Secret Lagoon natural hot springs, located in the geothermal area near the village of Flúðir. The Secret Lagoon was made in 1891 and is one of the oldest swimming pools in Iceland. The pools natural surroundings and steam rising into the air give the place a magical feeling. Around the lagoon you will find several hot spots and a walking path so guests can have a closer look at the boiling hot springs.

NOTE: There are change facilities at the Secret Lagoon and towels will be provided

Your overnight is back at the Hotel Borg or similar and dinner is on your own.

Enjoy breakfast, check out and depart for a drive through the rugged lava fields of the Reykjanes peninsula en route to Iceland´s most popular attraction - the incomparable Blue Lagoon. The Lagoon’s aquamarine coloured water, the steam and the lava landscape surrounding it succeed in creating a unique and memorable atmosphere. Here you will have the option to enjoy a unique bathing experience in the lagoon. Towels will be provided and changerooms are available.

Returning to the city’s hustle and bustle you’ll drive to Perlan or The Pearl, one of the city’s landmark buildings, where you will find a viewing deck that offers great panoramic views over Reykjavik as well as the world’s first indoor ice cave, learn about the forces of nature and witness how Iceland was formed.

Next drive through the older parts of the city, dominated by the imposing Hallgrímskirkja Church whose tall tower is one of Reykjavík’s most recognized landmarks. Moving closer to the city centre, drive past the City Hall, Lækjartorg square and Harpa Conference & Concert Hall, past the famous sculpture the Sun Voyager and finally end at the port for embarkation.

In June, Iceland celebrates their longest days of the year. And literally, for a few weeks – the sun simply doesn’t set at all.

The average temperature in June is 48°F / 9°C

The average temperature in July is 51°F / 10.7°C

The average temperature in August is 56°F / 13°C

Program Excludes for guests:

•Meals or beverages not listed above

However, each program varies, and participants should be prepared to negotiate a mixture of surfaces which may include inclines, cobblestones, sand, and gravel or natural paths. There may also be a need to climb steps or stairs on occasion. Guests who utilize a wheelchair and those with mobility concerns are advised to check with the cruise line in advance to see if any portion of the tour program may not be considered suitable for their individual situation. This sophisticated venue, exquisite with chandeliers and bold Versace dinnerware, offers a multitude of choices to customize your meal. You’ll find time spent on board the ship to be just as enriching as time ashore. Relax by the pool, compete in a friendly game of trivia or bocce ball, indulge in treats at afternoon tea and gain insight from an expert lecturer.

  • Atrium Often described as the crossroads of the ship, our Atrium is an inspiring testament to the grandeur of luxury ocean travel. A cascading stairwell makes it a natural gathering place for guests, and on Seven Seas Splendor® it opens upon Compass Rose, our signature restaurant, to create a dazzling foyer. You’ll surely find yourself in the Atrium many times throughout your voyage, surrounded by magnificent art pieces and a dazzling chandelier.
  • Bocce Court The originators of bocce ball 7,000 years ago couldn’t have imagined their simple game being played high atop a glorious ocean liner... but you’ll be able to do more than imagine while playing it onboard Seven Seas Splendor®. Bocce ball – also known as Italian lawn bowling – is played with a pallina and 8 larger balls, all of course provided.
  • Card Room The beautifully decorated space is an inviting and tranquil oasis for friendly competition. Gather your favorite teammates for a lively afternoon or evening of board games, enjoy a social game of Bridge or participate in an ACBL Tournament on select voyages.
  • Culinary Arts Kitchen No ordinary shipboard cooking class, our Culinary Arts Kitchen will make you believe you’ve stumbled into one of the world’s prestigious cooking schools. As a guest you’ll always know where to find our General Manager, whose sole responsibility is making sure things are running as they should – and that includes providing you with superior customer service.
  • Golf Net The glorious ocean vistas you’ll admire every day won’t necessarily have you thinking of golf course fairways, but if you find yourself wishing you could be practicing your fairway swing, head to our Golf Net. All the clubs and golf balls you need are available. Who knows? Maybe you’ll return home from your voyage with a few kinks worked out of your golf swing...
  • INFINITY-EDGE PLUNGE POOL Surrounded by an inviting teak-deck terrace filled with plush, partially covered lounge chairs, our refreshing Infinity-Edge Plunge Pool is a perfect place to soak and take in dramatic views, as the pool contours to the stern of the ship.
  • Paddle Tennis Court One look at our Paddle Tennis Court and you’ll know it’s a place of serious competition. All the equipment you need is nearby, the court is completely screened and the surface is immaculate. Whether you find yourself in a tense match or something more leisurely, you and your fellow players will be enjoying fresh ocean air and fantastic views from high atop your ship.
  • Pool Bar When you envision the type of activity you’re only likely to do while on vacation, sipping a frozen drink at a pool bar onboard a glorious cruise ship is probably near the top of the list. You can tick that box at our Pool Bar, where you and new friends can enjoy leisurely conversation over cocktails and frozen drinks in a delightfully relaxed atmosphere.
  • Pool Deck If it’s a day by the pool you desire, our Pool Deck is one of the most elegant at sea. Outfitted in teak accents, it features a lavish pool and two whirlpools in a blissful setting. Lounge the day away under the warm sun or read a book in a shady nook with an amiable and dedicated crew on-hand to bring refreshing beverages and plush towels.
  • Putting Green While the Golf Net is meant to help you improve your fairway swing, our Putting Greens are less about self-improvement than group fun as your ship travels from one destination to another. A popular pastime is gathering friends after an afternoon cocktail and heading to the top deck of Seven Seas Splendor® for a spirited competition as twilight approaches and a delicious dinner in one of our stellar restaurants looms.
  • Shuffleboard This isn’t the sleepy version of shuffleboard. From high atop Seven Seas Splendor®, you’ll be enchanted by ocean vistas stretching horizon to horizon as you engage in a game that dates back to 15th-century England. All equipment is well-maintained and available for use – all you have to do is bring a team, or perhaps join one in need of a player.
  • Sports Deck You may visit our Sports Deck after a relaxing visit to Serene Spa & Wellness™ to jog a few laps around our track or practice your fairway golf swing. Then again, you could head up to Deck 12 after an afternoon cocktail to take on new friends in games of bocce ball or paddle tennis. Whatever you do, you’ll enjoy the freshest ocean air and vistas you’ll never forget.
  • The Study In an atmosphere that’s reminiscent of a personal library in an elegant, stately home, Regent Suite guests may gather in The Study to privately dine on meals from the adjacent Chartreuse and Prime 7 restaurants. Such an exclusive opportunity further establishes the Regent Suite on Seven Seas Splendor® as the pre-eminent luxury accommodation on the high seas.
  • The Casino Inspired by the iconic gaming halls of Las Vegas and Monte Carlo, our Casino is an elegant and exciting destination unto itself. Whether you’re a player or spectator, the excitement is contagious, the drinks are delightful and the staff is welcoming. Challenge friends to poker and blackjack or cheer on your number at the roulette wheel. Find your way to our Casino through stylish glass doors – and may Lady Luck treat you kindly.

This guest favorite is many things: a hallmark, a much-loved hideaway, an elegant gathering place for good conversation and bonhomie. Aboard  Seven Seas Splendor ® it’s also a modern space with oversize leather armchairs and signature works of art placed tastefully throughout. Stop in and test the conversational waters over a fine cigar or fine cognac, both available for purchase. As you would guess, smoking is permitted here.

  • Constellation Theater Plush seating and pleasing sightlines make every seat a great seat in our state-of-the-art show hall. Stretching two decks, the Constellation Theater boasts lavishly staged, high-energy shows created and produced by our own team of Broadway choreographers and directors. Sit in comfort or get up and dance to stories brimming with romance, intrigue, singalongs – even a tear-jerking tribute to the days of disco.
  • Meridian Lounge Elegantly appointed and comfortably furnished, this sleek lounge is a showstopper, with an expansive bar serving your favorite cocktails. Warm lighting and sophisticated ambiance are integral to its charm, but its vibe is the intangible draw. Meet for a drink before a show at the Constellation Theater or to continue your unforgettable evening with performances by resident musicians afterwards.
  • Observation Lounge Our fleet abounds with spectacular suites, restaurants, and lounges, but the Observation Lounge on Seven Seas Splendor® is truly magical. It offers staggering views as the ship enters and leaves ports of call, but its interior is lush with upholsteries inspired by the fluidity of flower petals, giving it the feel of a sunlit English garden. At night, a whimsical chandelier and hand-painted glass screens work in tandem with a cocktail pianist to perfect the scene.
  • Splendor Lounge A magical place to laugh and unwind. Enjoy signature cocktails in a space designed to arouse the senses, from soulful sounds floating on ocean breezes to plush chairs cradling you in comfort to a lounge so spectacularly designed it will dazzle from every angle. What better way to prepare for a delicious dinner than chatting with fellow guests while musicians perform on an intimate stage beneath a grand proscenium?
