Alice's newest tour, entitled Ol' Black Eyes Is Back, is out of this world! I've been to so many Alice shows over the years, so I had gotten used to his show in the last five years. I loved that show, the set, and all of the songs, but his new tour really deviates from the past few years. Alice usually carries over a lot of concepts from his previous tours, so the whole show was a huge surprise! He threw in so many old songs--songs he hasn't done in decades! The set was completely new, from the huge baby wandering on stage to the chandeliers above the set. The stairs leading to the platforms/tower in the back were astounding and the perfect background to the set. Alice sounds just as good as ever, and his attitude (including facial expressions!) while he sings shows that he's still on the top of his game at age 71!
But one of Alice's best assets hasn't changed: his band! They have always been stellar, and his band of the last five years has really brought their A game to every show. Ryan Roxie, Chuck Garric, Glen Sobel, Tommy Henriksen, and Nita Strauss all deserve their own honorable mentions. They are all unique in their own way and bring something different to every show!

A Paranormal evening with Alice Cooper was a great show at the Ordway in Saint Paul, MN. Alice delivered an exciting show as is par for Alice, I have seen Alice Cooper several times and I never get bored with his act. He truly is the Godfather of Shock Rock, Alice Cooper and all of the members of the band are true entertainers, Alice played some material that I have not heard before and they were songs that have very relevant lyrics speaking to the way people are behaving and feeling (particularly here in the USA). If you have never had the extreme pleasure of seeing an Alice Cooper event you are missing out on one of the true great performers that are left. The only song Alice didn't play that I feel should be a staple in the act is Welcome to my Nightmare but I understand that when you have a catalog of hits like Alice has; it has to be hard to pick which songs to play and which to cut out of the show.
Exceptional show from beginning to end. The set list blew my mind since I have been listening to the band since 1969, and he played most of my Loved and favorite songs. He sounds and looks very very good for 73 years of age. The band included original band member Dennis Dunaway on bass, and the other members who have been playing with him for quite some time as well. Nita Strauss is amazing!!!! The entire stage set up, and the entire stage performance was mind blowing to me. He did something very SPECIAL at the end of the set list and before the Encore. As they left the stage, there were 2 screens located 1 on each side of the stage, they came on and his voice brought our attention to the 17 Students shot here in Florida last month and he paid a beautiful homage and his respects to the Families and friends of the students. He Encored with an amazing Schools Out. As I said at the beginning, Exceptional Show.

ALICE COOPER ANNOUNCES FALL 2021 TOUR DATES
TOUR FEATURES FORMER KISS GUITARIST ACE FREHLEY AS SPECIAL GUEST
COOPER’S NEW ALBUM DETROIT STORIES OUT NOW
ALICE COOPER will make his long-awaited return to the road on a headline tour this September and October. The tour kicks off September 17 in Atlantic City and runs through October 23 in Atlanta. Original KISS guitarist Ace Frehley will appear, as special guest on all shows September 18 through October 22. All confirmed dates are below.
Cooper, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, usually spends up to six months a year on the road, bringing his iconic brand of rock psycho-drama to fans both old and new, enjoying it as much as the audience does. Known as the architect of shock rock, Cooper (in both the original Alice Cooper band and as a solo artist) has rattled the cages and undermined the authority of generations of guardians of the status quo, continuing to surprise fans and exude danger at every turn, like a great horror movie. Alice Cooper concerts remain a “not-to-be-missed” attraction!
Cooper’s universally acclaimed new album Detroit Stories is out now via earMUSIC. The record is a celebration of the sound and spirit of the Golden Era of Detroit rock, and debuted on the Billboard Album sales chart at #1 upon release in February.
The Associated Press called Detroit Stories “a masterpiece of classic rock, soul and R&B in homage to the city that produced him,” while Entertainment Weekly proclaimed the release “a love letter from Cooper to his city, and one that encourages a deep dive into his own back catalog and that of his peers.” Variety deemed the album “a delicious tip of the hat to ’70s classics such as ‘Killer’ and ‘School’s Out’ without sounding like a throwback.” Rolling Stone enthused, “That spirit of rock & roll abandon still exists in Cooper’s music half a century later, and his inherent showmanship is why people still fill theaters to see his guillotine act. It’s also why his records are still fun to listen to: You never know where he’s headed.”
Get it here .
“We’ve always had fun touring together and it should be a heavy rock show with Ace and a great way to get everyone back to live concerts again,” says Cooper. “It should be a great night of virtuoso guitars!”
Ace Frehley, KISS co-founder and 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, continues his reflections on a lifetime in music with Origins, Vol. 2 . No stranger to cover versions throughout his musical history — having recorded, rebranded and repossessed such notable nuggets as “New York Groove,” “Do Ya” and “I Wanna Go Back” over the course of his eight previous studio efforts — this new collection presents a thoughtful and exciting selection of songs that inspired and helped shape the legendary guitarist. Foremost of importance to the original Spaceman is delivering an album his fans will enjoy, but one where every song also has a place in his life’s jukebox.
“I’ve known Alice for over 30 years,” says Frehley. “We’re good friends, and we’ve toured together numerous times and always had a blast. Our musical roots are very similar, and the combination of our two bands make for a great event that nobody is gonna want to miss. Being off the road for more than a year because of the pandemic has been tough on everyone in the music industry, and I’m really looking forward to seeing all of the fans happy, healthy, and ready to rock.”
Pre-sale tickets are available Tuesday, May 18 at 10am local time. Venue and radio pre-sales are set for Wednesday, May 19 at 10am local time. The general on-sale is set for Friday, May 21 at 10am local time. Get tickets here .

The fall dates were his first since the coronavirus pandemic began. "Everyone's trying to remember where everything is, all the little moves," Cooper told UCR before hitting the road. Alice Cooper Announces 2022 North American Tour Dates
There's no rest for the wicked. Just ask Alice Cooper , who having just finished a run of U.S. dates will be back on the road just after the holidays!
Cooper will kick off a brief winter tour on Jan. 28 in Cincinnati at the ICON Music Center, with a series of shows that will lead up to his appearance on the Monsters of Rock Cruise that sets sail Feb. 9-14. He'll then hit the road in March with Buckcherry as support before playing a duo of dates with Ace Frehley in April. You can see all the dates, cities and venues listed below.
The VIP pre-sale for the run starts tomorrow (Nov. 2) at 10AM local time in each market, while the general public on-sale is set for this Friday (Nov. 5) at 10AM local time. Check Cooper's website for ticketing details.
Cooper is currently touring in support of his Detroit Stories album, a record that owes a nod to the city that helped birth his music career. The album serves as a celebration of the golden era of Detroit's rock history.
The singer's legendary stage show reveals his darker side, one that he cultivated as a young musician. Recently speaking with the Rock Classic Radio With Jenn podcast on Apple Music, Cooper recalled , "Rock 'n' roll needed a villain. True rock 'n' roll didn't have a villain," the singer recalled from his early days in rock. "We had all these Peter Pans... no Captain Hook. And .... I looked around and went, 'I will gladly be that villain."
But it's not all "bad," as he added, "I wanted Alice to be threatening and yet funny at the same time, you know? I wanted that combination of not exactly knowing what he was going to do, but you know, he may... he may slit your throat, but he would never swear at you ...know what I mean? He was a gentlemen villain and arrogant and condescending. And yet I didn't mind him slipping on a banana peel once in a while for the laugh. You know, there's nothing funnier than a guy like that, blowing it in front of an audience and then having to recover."

On July 11, 1972, Alice Cooper headlined the largest rock concert Pittsburgh had yet to see.
During the 1970s, the wild showman and his band rode a streak of four consecutive platinum albums and five Top 40 hits: “I’m Eighteen,” “School’s Out,” “No More Mr. Nice Guy,” and “Elected." Their show and sound was perfect for huge venues.
Originally scheduled for June 23 with Humble Pie and Uriah Heep opening, the show had been pushed to July due to Hurricane Agnes which killed 122 people and forced more than 100,000 Pennsylvanians to evacuate.
Once the storm had cleared, 40,000 fans arrived at the two year old Three Rivers Stadium, home of the Steel Curtain Pittsburgh Steelers and the World Champion '71 Pittsburgh Pirates led by Roberto Clemente. These fans, though, were there to rock, unlike Uriah Heep who couldn't make the rescheduled date.
As Humble Pie - who had just lost their guitar wunderkind Peter Frampton to his desire to go solo - finished their set with a blazing "Hot and Nasty" led by Steve Marriott, the fans rushed the field and even got into the dugouts.
According to news reports Alice was holed away partying with the press who were enjoying champagne cocktails (it was a different time) while teens rushed the stage -- some even ended up backstage. Once security got control of the situation, Cooper and his band took the stage shortly after 11pm and rocked the joint.
It was the kickoff of the School's Out Tour which would see the band play stadiums, speedways, coliseums, and convention centers all around the US and Europe. At the Hollywood Bowl, they handed out diplomas to attendees for making it through the show.
Despite Cooper's popularity, credit for the Three Rivers Show should also be doled out to legendary Pittsburgh concert promoter Pat DiCesare for making such a huge show come true. DiCesare is also known for being the guy who brought Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, and Janis Joplin to the City of Bridges.
Fifty-one years later and Alice is still out on the road, making new music, and re-releasing his classics. The albums School's Out and Killer received the deluxe Rhino Records treatment recently with newly pressed vinyl and insightful liner notes.
In August, 75-year old Alice is scheduled to release his 29th studio album, Road, which he has described as a concept album. He will support that by going on tour with Motley Crue and Def Leppard. Then in September he will co-headline a tour with Rob Zombie. If you are the type of fan that just wants to see this legendary performer in smaller venues minus the Crue and Leppard, Alice's Too Close For Comfort Tour which began in April, still has a few more dates in August.
Go to Alice's website for tickets to all of his shows.
