Here Is Killer Mike’s ‘High And Holy Tour’ Setlist

Killer Mike is currently on his High And Holy Tour , promoting his new album Michael . Most recently, he stopped at The Fillmore in San Francisco, while tonight (July 31), he’s playing the Ace Hotel in Los Angeles. We’ve got the setlist — courtesy, as always, of Setlist.fm — below. In addition to tracks from Michael , Killer Mike has also been playing tracks by Big Boi (“Kill Jill”), Bone Crusher (“Never Scared”), and Purple Ribbon All-Stars (“Kryptonite [I’m On It]”), on which he had standout verses throughout the early 2000s.

Despite very recently releasing a full-length album, Mike said he had even more songs recorded, including one featuring a seven-minute André 3000 verse . He followed up by claiming that André was working on an album of his own , but later insisted that he was only joking . Of course, with André 3000, anything is possible; even the Killer Mike collab that appeared on Michael , “Scientists & Engineers,” was nearly nixed by the mercurial Outkast-er until he heard the full version with Eryn Allen Kane’s vocals.

Killer Mike has announced a new solo headline tour of North America, set to take place this summer in support of his upcoming solo album, MICHAEL .

The Run The Jewels rapper will head out on his first major solo outing since touring in support of his 2012 album R.A.P Music in July. Billed as Killer Mike and the Midnight Revival, the star will kick off The High & Holy Tour in Birmingham, Alabama, on July 10, before making his way across the US.

Along the way, he will perform at iconic venues like Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, New York’s The Apollo, and Minneapolis’ First Avenue and appear at Chicago’s Pitchfork Music Festival. The dates will wrap in New Orleans on August 5.

Killer Mike’s new solo album MICHAEL will be released on June 16 via Loma Vista. The record will introduce the world to the totality of Michael Render, a lifelong rap fiend whose consciousness is seeped in the sounds of the community that raised him–multiple eras of southern rap flows, Sunday church service, and barbershop discourse. The album is his most autobiographical and independent album to date.

So far, the rapper has shared three singles from MICHAEL – the El-P-produced “Don’t Let The Devil,” “Run,” and “Talk’n That S__t.” Before “Run” was released, the song appeared in a Killer Mike-starring nationally televised Cadillac campaign, “Black Future” for the Escalade V Series, which debuted in June 2022.

Killer Mike has announced a summer tour behind his forthcoming album, Michael , which is out June 16 via Loma Vista. The touring act is called Killer Mike and the Midnight Revival, and the dates take place in July and August of this summer. Find those dates below.

Killer Mike is set to perform at Pitchfork Music Festival , which takes place July 21-23 at Chicago’s Union Park. Tickets are on sale now .

Killer Mike Announces 2024 Tour Dates

Killer Mike has announced North American tour dates behind his latest solo album, Michael . The rapper’s Down By Law - Summer 2024 Tour kicks off May 4 in Memphis and winds through Washington D.C., Atlanta, Toronto, New York, Chicago, Denver, and additional cities, before closing out in Los Angeles on October 15. Killer Mike will be joined by his choir the Midnight Revival throughout the trek. Check out Killer Mike’s full itinerary below, as well as a new music video for the Michael cut “Exit 9,” featuring Blxst .

The Shane Smith-directed visual for “Exit 9” features Atlanta landmarks like the Cascade roller rink and the Blue Flame Lounge gentleman’s club, as well as a cameo from Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens.

Michael , which came out last June, marked Killer Mike’s first solo full-length in 11 years. The album earned him three Grammy Awards at this year’s ceremony; the Atlanta rapper won Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for the Michael track “ Scientists & Engineers ,” while the LP took home Best Rap Album. The “Exit 9” clip concludes with audio from Killer Mike’s Best Rap Album Grammy acceptance speech.

Following Killer Mike’s Grammys sweep, he was arrested at Crypto.com Arena and booked for misdemeanor battery. A security guard allegedly called for a citizen’s arrest, claiming Mike injured her while trying to go through the wrong entrance inside the venue. “As you can imagine, there was a lot going and there was some confusion around which door my team and I should enter,” Killer Mike later explained . “We experienced an over-zealous security guard but my team and I have the upmost confidence that I will ultimately be cleared of all wrongdoing.”

Killer Mike recently performed “Exit 9” on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert , backed by the Midnight Revival and DJ Trackstar.

Killer Mike Joins the National Symphony Orchestra in Concert

Three-time 2024 grammy award ® –winning rap artist, killer mike  joins the national symphony orchestra  , may 21, 2024 kennedy center concert hall.

(WASHINGTON)—Rap artist, civic leader, and activist Killer Mike—winner of three 2024 Grammy Awards®—will join the National Symphony Orchestra in a new, original orchestra program. The evening-length concert will feature new arrangements from Killer Mike’s critically acclaimed album Michael , led by Principal Pops Conductor Steven Reineke. This will be the orchestra’s first self-produced collaboration with a rap artist since its concert with Common in 2017.

Michael , Atlanta rapper Killer Mike’s sixth solo album and his first in over a decade, was awarded Best Rap Album last month at the 2024 Grammy Awards®. The album was hailed for its “musical adventurism” by Slate and for its “startling depth and warmth” as it reflects on his personal journey.

The National Symphony Orchestra has a long history of artistic innovation, collaborating with artists across genres. Most recently, the NSO’s collaboration with Maxwell sold out the Kennedy Center Concert Hall for four consecutive nights, and the orchestra has pushed the boundaries of orchestral music by performing with luminaries such as Nas (2014), Kendrick Lamar (2015), and Common (2017). Additionally, recent collaborations with artists Bob Weir and the Wolf Bros, Audra McDonald, Anoushka Shankar, Pharrell, Black Girls Rock, Jacob Collier, Laufey, and NSO Artistic Advisor Ben Folds and his Declassified series, underscore the orchestra's commitment to diverse and boundary-pushing programming.

Coming off the announcement of his new album, Michael , set to be released in June featuring André 3000, Lil Wayne, Dave Chappelle, 6LACK and more, rapper and activist Killer Mike has announced a U.S. tour, returning to Charlotte this summer on Saturday, July 15 to The Underground. The High & Holy Tour will hit 19 cities including Pitchfork Music Festival with his full choir, The Midnight Revival, performing songs from his new album as well as hits from R.A.P. Music , PLEDGE , and more.

Killer Mike first came to prominence on Outkast’s 2000 album, Stankonia , and has also released four studio albums with producer and rapper El-P as Run the Jewels. Michael is his sixth solo studio album and first since 2012’s R.A.P. Music .

Pre-sale starts Wednesday, May 3 at 10 a.m. (code: ICONIC) , and tickets go on sale to the public  Friday, May 5 at 10 a.m.

The Top 10 Get Up Anthems from Atlanta were crafted through a blend of editorial expertise, data-driven analytics, social impact and personal sentiment, to create a ranked list of the songs which inspired, captivated, and energized the A. In a historical dive from 1973 to present day, the city’s playlist [click HERE to play] features hometown hits that are synonymous with the city’s rich history and culture, hand selected by Atlanta’s very own, Killer Mike and London on da Track, Billboard editors, Damien Scott and Trevor Anderson, and moderated by Rocsi Diaz.

10. “Never Scared” – Bone Crusher feat. T.I. and Killer Mike (2003)

A single from Bone Crusher’s debut album AttenCHUN! and produced by Avery Johnson, “Never Scared” features booming bass, aggressive beats, and an anthemic hook delivered with Bone Crusher’s raw, gravelly voice. T.I. and Killer Mike add their distinct flows, contributing to the song’s powerful, confrontational vibe. Peaking at No. 26 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 8 on the Hot Rap charts, the lyrics of this anthem celebrate resilience and defiance, capturing the tough, unapologetic spirit of Atlanta’s street culture and crunk music scene.

Released in 2003, “Damn!” is a hit single from YoungBloodZ’s second album Drankin’ Patnaz . Sean P and J-Bo of YoungBloodZ deliver assertive verses, while Lil Jon’s production provides a relentless, high-octane backdrop. Released in 2006, “Shoulder Lean” from Young Dro’s debut album Best Thang Smokin’ peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. Produced by Lil’ C, its minimalist beat and danceable groove, coupled with Young Dro’s confident delivery, made it a hit in Atlanta’s vibrant nightlife.

André 3000 and Big Boi’s distinctive, Southern-inflected flows and clever, narrative lyrics paint a vivid picture of life in the South in “Player’s Ball.” Featured in their debut album, Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik , the track is celebrated for its foundational work in introducing the world to the distinct sound of Atlanta hip-hop. Released in 1993, the song’s smooth blend of funk and rap, produced by Organized Noize, along with its celebration of Southern culture, set the stage for OutKast’s legendary career and established Atlanta as a major hub for innovative hip-hop.
