Standing at Concerts
Standing and Dancing at Concerts: DPAC is proud to welcome all types of concerts to our stage. Sometimes during the course of a concert performance, audience members will show their enthusiasm by standing and dancing, especially when encouraged by the performers to do so. Unless directed by the show, we do not ever enforce a must sit policy at concerts. For most concerts, this would not be acceptable to the performers on stage who often love it when the crowd is moved enough by the performance to stand. This is especially true for rock shows and for seats closest to the stage.
Please know that DPAC does not have a “no standing” policy and in most situations will allow guests to stand even if they block the view of the stage for other guests. If your view is ever blocked by a standing or dancing guest, please contact an usher and we’ll attempt to find alternative seating.
- Most tickets buyers purchase right from our website using the Buy Ticket s button on this page.
- In addition to purchasing online, DPAC offers several other ways to purchase the seats you want to the best Broadway, concerts, comedy, family shows and special events in North Carolina.
- Our computerized ticket system enables you equal access to great DPAC seats whether you buy online, by phone, or in person at DPAC.
- For more details, visit our Purchase Seats page for complete information on purchasing great seats for all events at DPAC.
- All tickets for DPAC events are fully digital and only accessible via your mobile device. A mobile ticket is the safest, most convenient, and flexible way to receive and manage your tickets while increasing protection against fraud. To learn more about mobile entry, please visit our Mobile Entry FAQ .
Video Screens
Currently, this event has not approved using our video screens. Please feel free to check back closer to the event for updates. If approved, we will post notice here.
For many concert, comedy, and special events at DPAC, we offer added views of the stage with two big screens (size: 16’ x 9’) hung to the sides of the stage or above the stage. These big screens can add to the visual experience of our concert, comedy, and special events and give guests seated farther from the stage what we like to call “a tenth row view”. Approval to use these screens always rests with the visiting show and about half of all concert and comedy events do use these screens.

From March through August, Salvatore “Sal” Vulcano, James “Murr” Murray and Brian “Q” Quinn will tour all over North America as part of their ongoing ‘Drive Drive Drive Drive Drive Tour.’
On this spring and summer leg, the trio will bring their signature pranks and patter to New York City’s Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, May 5.

Soon after, the merrymakers close their NY/NJ run with gigs in Bethel (July 19), Saratoga Springs (July 20) and Syracuse (Aug. 23).
For those who are wondering how the oft-laugh out loud show translates to the stage, you don’t have to worry — the Jokers have already figured that out.
“It’s more of a multimedia show,” Sal Vulcano told Cincinnati.com . We show videos, we tell stories. There’s some crowd stuff, interaction. It’s more geared toward our specific fans of ‘Jokers.’”

Review: ‘Impractical Jokers’ Is Played for Laughs Live at Radio City
By Jason Zinoman
- Jan. 31, 2016
“ Impractical Jokers ” is just dumb fun, but what do you expect from a prank show in which loud comics accost strangers on the streets?
Perhaps more than you did before the premieres of “Nathan for You” and “Billy on the Street.” Fair enough. “Jokers,” entering its fifth season on TruTV, is not of that caliber, but it has earned a devoted audience because of the camaraderie and frat house charms of its four stars, old friends from Staten Island who dare one another to ask strangers to, among other things, sign an anti-rain petition or shake hands in a department store.
These comics (Joe Gatto, James Murray, Brian Quinn and Sal Vulcano) sold out three shows at Radio City Music Hall over the weekend. On Saturday night, in an atmosphere resembling a fan convention, audience members shouted lines from the television show as the guys played clips from it, told stories, mugged and looked generally amazed that they were performing at such a storied theater. At one point, they brought their nieces and nephews onstage.
Since they can’t pull pranks live, the comics, who make up the Tenderloins troupe, need to rely on more traditional jokes. As a consequence, the live show feels like a meal without the main course. These comics don’t deliver punch lines so much as hammer them, always finishing with a boisterous cackle. Nothing is left to the imagination. If one of the four comics does a funny walk, they all laugh. Then another says “You walk funny” before a third ends any ambiguity about the source of the joke: “That’s why everyone thinks you’re gay.”
Their puerile humor veers from the locker room to the borscht belt to the kiddie pool. (“You’re not Channing Tatum. You’re Fatting Chatum.”) Mr. Gatto favors broad physical gestures, while Mr. Vulcano has the funniest delivery, mixing an occasional deadpan into the raucous riffing. Mr. Murray is the most emphatic, slapping his knee, but also perhaps the most shameless in going for the gross-out joke. Toward the end of the live show, he tells a story of going to the bathroom prematurely in the parking lot of a hotel. His humiliation is played for laughs by his friends, but a sense of embarrassment is tempered by their grand finale, in which they play a clip of Mr. Vulcano daring Mr. Murray to swallow dog excrement.
When he gulps it down, the camera pans to his friends doubled over in laughter, then back to Mr. Murray. From the triumphant smile on his face, you can guess what he’s thinking: The audience members are going to eat this up.
“Impractical Jokers ‘Where’s Larry’ Tour Starring the Tenderloins” ends its run Sunday night at Radio City Music Hall; 212-247-4777, ticketmaster.com.

The Trump campaign sees Kamala Harris’s laugh as a vulnerability to exploit. But far from a liability, it is one of her most effective weapons , our comedy critic weighs in.
Ali Saddiq's autobiographical epic , spanning more than six hours and four chapters on YouTube, resembles a solo version of “The Wire” more than any stand-up special.

Joe Gatto is unlikely to return to Impractical Jokers, but there's a catch
Joe Gatto probably won't return to Impractical Jokers, but he may still work with the guys again.
Andrew Korpan
While Oasis reunited after 15 long years , do not expect Joe Gatto to return to Impractical Jokers. The series, which has lived on since his departure in 2021 with original members Brian “Q” Quinn, James Murray, and Sal Vulcano, will probably never see Gatto search for Larry again.
Speaking with ClutchPoints amidst his Let’s Get Into It Tour, which commenced on September 6, 2024, Gatto sounded content if he never reunites with the boys. However, that does not mean the childhood friends will not continue to collaborate.
“It’s funny because I’m still friends with those guys in real life — we’re just not coworkers anymore,” said Gatto. “So, will I work with them again? There’s a good chance. Is it [Impractical] Jokers? Probably not.”
He cited Quinn, Murray, and Vulcano finding a new formula for the show as one potential reason. They now bring celebrity guests in as a fourth member of the Impractical Jokers. He also acknowledged that he has “moved away from it.”
When did Joe Gatto leave Impractical Jokers?
Joe Gatto left Impractical Jokers, never to return, in the middle of Season 9. They have since filmed and released a tenth season and are in the midst of the eleventh.
It is great to hear that Gatto is still on good terms with the rest of the Jokers. Despite his absence, they figured out a way to continue the show without him. And for Gatto, he seems at peace with his other ventures (he is now a children’s book author, podcaster, and touring his stand-up material).
Gatto is at the beginning of his 63-date tour, which opened with shows in West Virginia. The tour will keep Gatto busy until March 2025.
The Let’s Get It On Tour consists of all new material from Gatto. He will also release a new comedy special, Messing with People, on YouTube on September 17.
What is Impractical Jokers?
Impractical Jokers is a hidden camera reality series that originally featured Brian “Q” Quinn, James Murray, Sal Vulcano, and Joe Gatto. They would compete in various challenges, competing for thumbs-ups.
The four are from the comedy group the Tenderloins. They were formed in 1999 and are still together. Additionally, they have embarked on tours together.
At the end of the episode, the Joker with the most thumbs-downs would be punished. These punishments usually resulted in some kind of public humiliation.
The series has been a huge hit. The originally aired on truTV until March 2024, when it moved to TBS. In addition to the 11 seasons, Impractical Jokers: The Movie was released in 2020.
The movie follows the guys as they embark on a road trip for redemption, competing in challenges along the way. Despite coming out shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic, Impractical Jokers: The Movie grossed nearly $10.7 million on a budget of $3 million.
Without Gatto, the rest of the Impractical Jokers have had large shoes to fill. Since he left, Eric André, Colin Jost, David Cross, Chris Jericho, Paul Rudd, Post Malone, MJF, and Brooke Shields are some of the celebrities they have brought in.
