Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Ahmedabad - Jamnagar (315km/6hrs)

Today, proceed to Jamnagar. On arrival visit Lakhota Lake &Lakhota Museum. In the evening, visit Bala Hanuman Temple known for its nonstop Ramdhun since 1956 and it mentioned in Guinness Book of World Records. Evening is free for Shopping. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2 : Jamnagar - Dwarka (150km/3hrs)

Today, proceed to the sacred town of Dwarka Major Tourist arrives for Dwarka Tourism.VisitDwarkadeesh Temple. In the morning depart to Porbandar (75km/1.5hrs) at Porbandar visit KirtiMandir – the place where Gandhiji was born and Sudama Temple – The only Sudama Temple in the world. Later proceed to Somnath (130km/2.5hrs) on arrival visitBhalkaTirth, TriveniSagam, GeetaMandirChopati& Somnath Temple. Dwarka Somnath Tour Itinerary Package

Day 1 : Arrival at Jamnagar

On arrival, you will be guided to your allotted hotel where you will be provided a fulfilling dinner along with an overnight stay.

Day 2 : Jamnagar – Dwarka (3 Hours / 150km)

Post breakfast you will be taken to the sacred town of Dwarka. There, upon arrival, you will be taken on a spiritual tour of various temples like Dwarkadheesh, Nageshwar Jyotirlinga, and Beyt Dwarka, which are situated along the coast where you will be a part of the holy evening Aarti. Finally, you will be taken back to your hotel to relax and for dinner.

Day 3 : Dwarka – Porbandar – Somnath (4 Hours / 200km)

After an early breakfast, you will depart for one of the most widely acclaimed tourist destinations in India, Porbandar which is one and a half hour away (75km) from Dwarka. There you will be made to visit Sudama temple and Kirti Mandir. After these visitations, you will then be taken to Somnath which is 2.5 hours away (130km).

Somnath Mandir is one of the 12 Jyotirlinga shrines of Lord Shiva. Upon arrival in Somnath, you will be made to stay at a hotel along with the serving of delicious dinner.

Day 4 : Somnath

This day will be dedicated to visiting the famous Somnath temple, Triveni ghat which is one of the oldest pilgrim centers in India and Bhalka Tirth, well known as the place where Lord Krishna was hit by an arrow by Jara. Attending the evening aarti is a complete spiritual experience in itself, which is guaranteed to create a lifetime of memories. After an eventful day, you will be made to stay at your hotel for the night along with a fulfilling dinner.

Day 5 : Somnath Departure

After the morning breakfast, you will then be assisted to the Somnath railway station from where you can continue onwards towards your destination.

• Somnath Jyotirlinga Temple

Somnath Temple  is the first among the  12 holy Jyotirlingas . This sacred temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva . The word Somnath translates to ‘ The Lord of the Moon ‘ which is a form of Lord Shiva.

2. Dwarkadhish Temple

Dwarkadhish Temple , one of the  Char Dham Pilgrimages, is dedicated to Lord Krishna. It is historically considered as the capital city of Lord Krishna’s empire.

3. Nageshwar Jyotirlinga 

Nageshwar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the 12 Jyotirlinga Shrines  mentioned in Shiva Purana. The major attraction of this temple is a 25-meters tall statue of Lord Shiva in a large garden with a pond surrounding the statue.

4. Bet Dwarka

Bet Dwarka is a beautiful island that is not only pleasing to the eyes but also soothes your soul. Also known as Shankhodhar, this place holds great significance as Sri Krishna ruled over Dwarka, residing in this place.

5. Rukmini Dwarka 

You might already know that Rukmini Dwarka temple is dedicated to Sri Krishna’s wife, Rukmini Devi. You can experience the most magnificent sunrise and sunset from this beautifully carved temple located 5km away from Dwarakadhish temple.

6. Moola Dwarka 

‘Moola’ Dwarka, which means ‘main’ Dwarka, is believed to be the original Dwarka mentioned in the Mahabharata. You will be surprised to know that this temple also is the first spot in Dwarka where Lord Krishna stepped in while he was entering the land.

7. Sudhama Dwarka 

Sudhama or Sudama, Lord Krishna’s childhood friend, visited him to lend some help for his survival. However, he left Dwarka without expressing his misery to Sri Krishna. This place was named ‘Sudhama Dwarka’ to memorialize the unconditional friendship between Sri Krishna and Sudhama.

No mobile phones, cameras, or electronic appliances are allowed inside the Somnath temple. Leather belts, auto car keys, and purses or handbags are allowed inside the premises for safety issues.

Shivraj beach is the most famous in Dwarka, and Somnath Beach is the best in Somnath.

It is not allowed to touch the Shivalinga in Somnath temple as one is not allowed to enter the sanctum. Visitors are allowed to watch it from a distance and offer their prayers.

All places as per plan covered and also when time permitted extra places or sight seeing also arranged. 4. Sufficient care was taken as travel agents were responsive taking our concerns positively. 5. Travelled recently 4D/3N with family ,(senior citizens and teenager)from Ahemdabad to Dwarka (via Jamnagar)stayed for 2 days .Covered all relevant temples.Reached Somnath via Porbander.stayed overnight at Somnath, visited all temples and Triveni ghat.Saw Gir forest and reached Ahemdabad.Innova was very comfortable ,tooks breaks as and when required.Driver was polite and curteous.Hotels booked were best..as asked for! I had taken services of Myoksha Travels for my long pending Dwarka and Somnath tour in December 2017. Although it was a last minute program but well coordinated by Myoksha. Cherry on the top was our travel companion “Mr. Patel”, who was well versed with locations and also fun to be part of this road journey. Darshan at Dwarka, Somnath, Nageshwar, Bet-Dwarka was without any issues and will be part of our memory life long. Hotel at Dwarka (Mercure) was very good and well placed in small town of Dwarka. Hotel at Somnath (Hotel Sun Plaza) was OK with other hotels being fully booked. Way Back “Mr. Patel” also took us to Gir Forest Tour which is addition to our itinerary. Overall trip was a very good and definitely recommend to others.

In total an awesome experience . Initially was apprehensive about trusting myoksha. But reading about them in google reviews by other people made me take a chance to book a trip to dwarka ,somnath & Ahmadabad along with my parents. This was one of the best decisions that i ever took . From the very start , the trip was very well planned and phased out. Myoksha staff were constantly in touch with us through out the trip .A big thanks to the very courteous driver [ Mr DixitGujjar ] who was ever smiling and ready to take us to every new place in dwarka and somath . My husband and I undertook a tour of Dwarka Somnath recently . It was a three nights four day package custom made as per our convenience . • About Place

About The Location: The revered site is home to one of the 12 jyotirlingas (self-manifested shivalinga) in India. The red building lies at a short distance from the town. At the end of a large hall is the main sanctum with the shivalinga. Close to the temple is another important spiritual spot called Gopi Talav Tirth, a lake that is connected to the legends of gopis visiting Lord Krishna and eventually offering their lives to merge with the soil here.

Brief History: Legend goes that it was here that a demon called Daaruka imprisoned a Shiva devotee called Supriya. The chants of ‘Om Namaha Shivay’ by Supriya invoked Lord Shiva who arrived here and vanquished the demon. A self-manifested Shivalinga appeared here and is prayed to this date.

Best time to visit: The best time to visit is between November and February, and during Shivratri which is celebrated with great fervour.

A small hump on the outer periphery of the ‘lower beak of a macaw’ – that is how ‘Devbhoomi’ Dwarka looks like when seen on the Indian map of state Gujarat. The ancient city, synonymous with the name of Lord Krishna, is situated on the right bank of the river Gomti. It’s also very close to the Gulf of Kutch on the north and the Arabian Sea on the west.

The original city of Dwarka dates back to the Puranic era, and an archaeological site at the nearby island Bet Dwarka even belongs to 1570 BC! Starting from the reign of the Yaduvanshis or the clan of Lord Krishna, Dwarka’s history is primarily intertwined with sanatan dharma and mythology. Historically, the city had been invaded by both the Muslims and the British, who plundered its wealth and tried to desecrate its temples. However, it has been resurrected each time, being rebuilt in the hands of those who were religious and wanted to build abodes for the gods.

By Air : The nearest airport at Jamnagar is 137 km from Dwarka. You can take cabs from the airport to reach Dwarka.

By Train : Dwarka (DWK) station lies on the Jamnagar-Okha metre gauge route of the Rajkot division of Western Railway and can be reached from different corners of the country via railroad.

By Road : Dwarka is well-connected to the Indian states by road. There are several private and state buses from Dwarka to cities like Ahmedabad, Porbandar, Amerli, etc.

This beautiful architectural edifice is a 5-storey intricately carved building resting on 72 pillars having a 78-metre high spire atop sporting a large, bright coloured triangular flag. Out of the two entrances, the north-facing main entrance is called the ‘Moksha Dwar’. Dating back to almost 2500 years, this awe-inspiring shrine is also one of the Chaar Dham founded by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th Century. Temple houses a deity of Lord Krishna and remains open from 6 am to 1 pm and 5 pm to 9:30 pm. It’s located 2.5 km from Dwarka railway station and 1.3 km from interstate bus terminus.

Nageshwar Jyotirlinga

The first among the 12 ‘swayambhu’ (or self-existing) jyotirlingas distributed all over the world, the tour to this temple at Darukavanam, 15 km from Dwarka city,  can be clubbed with that of the Beyt Dwarka island. This is a great place of pilgrimage for the Shaivites. The temple complex houses an 80-feet stunning sitting idol of Lord Shiva. The temple’s timings are 6 am to 12:30 pm and 5 pm to 9:30 pm. It’s also one of the most important places to visit in Dwarka . This is the second jyotirlinga of Gujarat, next to the one in Somnath temple. Location is 19 km from Dwarka city and entry is free for all.

Swaminarayan Temple

Dedicated to Lord Swaminarayan, an avatar (incarnation) of Lord Vishnu, this relatively newer beautiful temple is one of the most serene places to visit in Dwarka .

This marble-clad temple is 1 km from Shree Dwarkadheesh temple and just 1.5 km away from the Dwarka bus stand and houses many idols of Hindu gods and goddesses. The foundation stone was laid by Gunatitanand Swami of the Swaminarayan samraday in 1826. The Temple complex has a meticulously maintained garden that adds to the beauty and serenity of the place and makes it a place worth meditation. It also has a cheap dharamshala where pilgrims can book ac and non-ac rooms.

Rukmini Temple or Rukshmani Devi temple

Rukmini, or Rukshmani, was the puranic chief queen of Lord Krishna. She was purportedly cursed at an incidence by the ill-tempered curse-bestowing sage Durvasa of Hindu mythology to live separately from her husband, Krishna.

Hence her temple is about 2.5 km away from the Dwarkadheesh Krishna temple. Location is about 2 km from Dwarka city. This is an architectural masterpiece dating back to the 12th and 19th centuries and is richly carved with human and elephant motifs on the wall panels. The temple observes a ritual of Jaal Daan or offering water to the deity. Temple timing: 6 am to 12:00 pm; 1 – 5 pm. 

Entry fee: Free; However, Jaldan may cost anything between INR 20 to 1500 depending upon scarcity of water.

Bhadkeshwar Mahadev temple

Bhadkeshwar Mahadev temple overlooks the tranquil waves of the Arabian sea and is surrounded by it on all sides barring a narrow passage that connects it to the mainland. Built  atop a hillock, this temple is located near the confluence of river Gomti and the Arabian sea.

The temple is located 3.7 km from Dwarka railway station.

Supernatural vibes are said to be felt during the evening aarti at this temple amidst crashing waves all around. The narrow pathway gets submerged during high tides and the temple becomes cut-off, however,  it is well-built and remains completely usable during ebb tide. It dates back to a jaw-dropping 5000 years and is said to be built by Jagatguru Shankaracharya.

It’s customary to take a holy dip in the confluence of river Gomti with the Arabian sea at the Gomti ghat and then visit the Dwarkadheesh temple just ahead of it. It’s just 56 steps down from the Swarga Dwar of the same temple.

This ghat is located 3.3 km from Dwarka railway station. Gomti Kund is the point where this holy dip has to take place. If such dips are followed by sacred rites to forefathers, then it is said they get liberated from their earthly sins, as Lord Krishna himself had taken dips here several times. Gomti being a tributary of holy river Ganga this becomes one of the must-be-there places to visit in Dwarka .

Sudama Setu

Situated just 3 km from Dwarka railway station Sudama Setu is a nice little cable-stayed bridge built by Reliance Industries Ltd in collaboration with Gujarat Tourism Department and Gujarat Pavitra Yatradham Vikas Board. The completed bridge came into use in 2016.

Spanning across the Gomti river, the bridge connects the Dwarkadheesh temple with the Panchnad or Panchkui Tirth on its southeast. The bridge not only serves a religious purpose of pilgrimage but also gives access to the island that has five sweet water wells (named after the Panch Pandav) or panch kuans.

Charming views of the Arabian sea, river Gomti and Dwarkadheesh temple can be seen from the bridge. During winter, camel and ATV bike rides also take place across it.

Timing: 7 am to 1 pm and 4 pm to 7:30 pm; Entry fee: INR 10 (adult) and INR 5 (children).

Samudra Narayan Temple

A temple dedicated to the river Gomti and built almost on the edge of the Arabian sea. The sea waves continuously break on the temple walls creating reverberations inside. Inside it, along with Mata Gomti, other gods and goddesses like Samudra Dev, Mira Bai and Mata Asta Bhavani are enshrined. As per Hindu mythology, Sage Vashitha brought the river Gomti from heaven after the epic war of Ramayana so that Lord Rama could take a holy dip and purify himself. After this event, Gomti became embedded at the ghat, and its flow disappeared in the Arabian sea. The temple complex houses a ceremonial tank. The Panchnad and Panchkui Tirth are on the southeast on the other bank of the river. Do remember that this temple is one of the must-go places to visit in Dwarka .

Temple timing: 6 am to 7 pm. There is no entry fee.

Dwarka Lighthouse & Shivrajpur beach

Lying by the Shivrajpur village, this is a serene beach with a beautiful white sandy bay line. On the way to Beyt Dwarka, this beach provides breathtaking views of the blue waters of the Arabian sea. Nearby Dwarkesh Beach Resorts and Water Sports can arrange for scuba diving at INR 2000 for 20 minutes.

A 43 m tall lighthouse that was inaugurated in 1962 is situated 1.5 km to the south of  Bhadkeshwar Mahadev temple. It’s 4 km from the railway station and a great point to view sunsets at the sea.

Beyt Dwarka & Dunny point

Beyt Dwarka ferry boarding point is 33 km from Dwarka railway station and 35 km from ISBT of Dwarka via NH 947.

Beyt Dwarka is an island off the Gujarat coastline, which can be reached by ferries leaving from Okha jetty. It is home to a number of temples like the Beyt Dwarkadheesh temple, Abhaya Mataji temple, Makardhwaj Hanuman temple, and Neelkanth Mahadev temple. This island boasts beaches featuring white sands and corals. Dolphins are also sighted here. This is also believed by people as the original ancient abode of Lord Krishna. 

Dunny point at the northeast extremity of Beyt Dwarka is an eco-tourism spot known for night trekking, dolphin watching, exploring corals or just sunbathing. Adventurers are known to camp often here.

Beyt Dwarka Temple hours: 9 am – 1 pm; 3 pm – 6 pm. Ferry ticket price: INR 10 per person, one way.

Blue Coriander, Chappan Bhog Multi-cuisine Restaurant, Atithi restaurant, Shreenath Dining Hall, Kathiawadi Rasthal and Charmi restaurant are some of the eateries in Dwarka for quenching gastronomic thirst.

Day 1 : ahmedabad arrival and sightseeing.

On arrival at Ahmedabad station/airport you’ll be greeted by our tour representative who escorts you to hotel. Check in, freshen up and later proceed to visit some of the famous places of Ahmedabad such as ISKON Temple, Akshardham temple, Vaishno Devi temple, Adalaj stepwell, Gandhi ashram. Day 2: Ahmedabad-Jamnagar and Jamnagar Sightseeing

Day 4 : Dwarka-Somnath and Somnath Sightseeing

Next day we hit the road for Somnath. En route we visit the Sudama temple and Kirti Mandir of Porbander. On reaching Somnath, check into hotel and later proceed to visit the Somnath jyotirlingam, Geeta Mandir, Bhalka Tirth and Triveni Sangam. Back to hotel for dinner and night stay.

Day 5 : Somnath-Gir and Jungle Safari

Day 6 : Gir-Ahmedabad and departure
