Traveling necessities in one place: Starbucks Subway to eat Fenced in dog area that my wiener dog can do his business without the threat of being run over Gas Gummy worms in the mart Clean bathrooms My favorite
We stop here regularly. It has it all...We get gas, take a bathroom break for us and grab a snack or food (drink), but we really love it for our dogs to do their business in a dedicated area just for pets! It is very clean, inside and out...especially the modern bathrooms. It has good lighting at night, plenty of covered gas pumps and it is very easy on/off access. The dog park is fenced and has a double gate system. They provide "pickup bags" and a disposal center for easy cleanup. It is located to the left of Subway (and Starbucks). It is mowed regularly, and there are two long benches for humans, a tree and even a fake fire hydrant, well done! Popeyes is next door (always check your order prior to driving off, trust me!!) and there is also a Deny's too.
Clean bathrooms, super convenient. They even have a dog park! It was the perfect stop for gas, Starbucks and bathroom break for our us and our puppy on our 16hour long road trip.
Clean clean clean! Fresh donuts, tons of snacks, and my favorite beverage station with vanilla and cherry!
Nice place, easy to use the gas pumps and clean and efficient inside. It's on the west side of 95, so if you are north bound it's not easy on and off. But overall, a good experience.
This was an awesome place to stop. They have different types of food, fuel, coffee, drinks and even games. The best part about it was the little dog park they have out front. This is rare to see that you have an actual enclosed area for dogs to play in instead of staying on the leash the whole time. I hope we get a chance to stop here on the way back through heading to VA
what a wonderful rest stop. HUGE advantage is how dog friendly it is, the dog park was beautiful and a huge relief as pet owners when traveling from mass to florida. so glad we stopped here! thank you!
Stopped here on our way back from the Myrtle Beach area en route to Baltimore. Desperately needed a coffee and bathroom break and this fit the bill perfectly. Clean with ample space for everyone. Starbucks was Starbucks which is PM always amazing. Also stopped in the market for some snacks and had one of the weirdest experiences ever. Basically I guess the two sides of the stop have differing gas stations, and you can pay inside the market but have to pay on the side you're getting gas at (?). As someone unfamiliar with the location this would have been news to me, as it was the guest in front of me. He tried to pay for his gas and the cashier said she couldn't help him as she only could help with the stations on her side. The guy was confused, but became unnecessarily rude and accused her of being racist for not helping him. After he finally walked away her distaste for him was clear. She then proceeded to tell my friend and I how she would very much like to "kick him in the nuts". We laughed bc, well, it was funny. Then she went on to tell us about how she would also like to kick her step-son in the nuts until he couldn't procreate, quite possibly 'doing the world a favor' in the process. At this point we were like "Um can we pay for our snacks?" and I couldn't resist trying to sneak in "...also we parked over there and need gas..." but my friend started hitting me and the woman, still enraged, didn't even hear/comprehend my joke. This was months ago and my friend and I still talk about this woman almost daily. Go pay her a visit, but please park on the correct side if getting gas.
This place is enormous. They have showers. Those two sentences are the essentials you need to know about Davis Travel center. Especially the showers. I have never seen such a thing. The main store screams enormity and the Starbucks is welcome on a long drive. There's only so many ways to describe a place that has essentially everything. So I will end with this: They have showers.
Stop here for gas (Exxon) and to use restroom on a weekday nights. This is probably one of the best "travel center" I have stopped on the east coast. The restroom is clean. The food bar and the drink brew area are also clean. The cashiers are very friendly and nice. I feel very welcome here. The place literary have almost everything. From large foods/snacks to drinks to road supplies to different device car charger to some car replacement parts (ie: windshield wipers, anti freeze fluids, etc) to souvenirs. They have 24/7 Starbucks and I think the Subway is also 24/7. If I travel down south again, I would definitely try to make this one of my stop.

Davis Travel Centers Meets the Community’s Needs
Editor’s note: Darren Schulte, NATSO vice president of membership, frequently visits NATSO members to review their locations and offers impactful merchandising and operations improvements. Contact Schulte at [email protected] or (915) 526-5820 to learn more about the costs and details of this service.
For Davis Travel Centers, which operates three locations in Virginia, meeting the needs of the traveling public and the community has always been a priority, and the location in Stony Creek offers everything from special treats for those traveling with pets to healthcare.
Earlier this month, a doctor’s office opened at the location, repurposing office space to create an exam room and a waiting room. Bill Decker, manager of the location, said the space used to hold a lottery machine and a checkout room where cashiers would close out their registers.
Decker said Davis Travel Centers has partnered with a local physician that is affiliated with South Hyde Medical Hospital. The new medical office is open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and accepts insurance. It has also partnered with a local pharmacy so patients can get their prescriptions filled there. In addition to treating drivers, the location can perform drug testing.
More and more professional drivers and travelers are taking their pets along with them when they are out on the road, and Davis Travel Centers has seized the opportunity. There is a dog park at the location, and those with pets will find plenty of fun offerings within the location’s Bark Zone inside the store.
A fun touch is the pet of the month feature. Customers can visit Davis Travel Center’s Facebook page and upload a picture of their pet for a chance to be featured.
The location also has an exceptional mix of food offerings, which is so important to capturing the many different types of customers that walk through the door.
There are hot offerings on the counter, grab-and-go items, and a beautiful display of pastries.
About a year ago, Davis Travel Centers opened a Wendy’s and Popeye’s at the location. Decker said sales have exceeded expectations.
The location has also found success with its Beer Cave and has a nice selection of wines.
Everything is well marked, making it easy for customers to know where to go.
The location is branded Mobil on the gasoline side and Davis Travel Centers is an AMBEST member.
The location is warm and inviting.
Everything is clean and bright and draws you in and makes you feel welcome.
