Among the exciting and immersive activities, guests can pay a visit to Barbie’s iconic Dreamhouse, chill out in Barbie’s full size camper van, travel to intergalactic destinations aboard Barbie’s Interstellar Airways shuttle, grab the mic and record their masterpiece in Barbie’s Music Studio, revisit Barbie dolls, and so much more!

• Interior Design Studio: This space features designer vignettes of a hobby room, a lounge, a kitchenette and a beauty studio
• Barbie Laboratory: From a Barbie styled periodic table to microscopes and chemical reactions, every fan can discover their inner scientist in this laboratory
• Music Production Studio: Guests can play DJ, try out instruments from Barbie, and move to the beat of some epic tunes
• Barbie Interstellar Airways: Visitors can travel among the stars aboard this one-of-a-kind space shuttle, track objects on radar and report back to mission control
• Fashion Runway: A fashionista’s dream come true! Guests will be able to walk a pink carpet and pose inside of one of six iconic Barbie boxes
• Barbie TV Centre: Visitors will have an opportunity to interview guests, deliver the weather report, and broadcast breaking news complete with a teleprompter on the set of The Barbie Show
• Camper Van : Fans can take the driver’s seat in this full-size camper van, built by leading car customization shop, West Coast Customs, or simply relax in a hammock
• World of Barbie Museum: This installation will showcase the evolution of Barbie via a style gallery that features the Barbie dolls and Dreamhouses from different decades and an array of her vintage cars
• World of Barbie Café: Guests can take a pause for some sweet treats and enjoy afternoon tea in true Barbie style. Online reservations are available with select VIP ticket purchases. Walk-up guests may be served on a space available basis
• Barbie Dreambuilder: Exclusive to World of Barbie, this experience allows guests to create their very own customized Barbie set. Unleashing their creativity, fans can select from dozens of dolls, fashions and accessories to build a set as unique as they are (price for Barbie Dreambuilder kit: $65)

The Global Debut of World of Barbie in Canada

The life-size World of Barbie interactive attraction opens its doors in a stand-alone space at Square One Shopping Centre in Mississauga on Friday, July 22nd, 2022. Local fans have an exclusive opportunity to step into the awe-inspiring, 30,000-square-foot interactive attraction before anyone else does. The space features life-size installations that are sure to capture the imaginations and hearts of many generations.

Kilburn Live, one of the fastest growing live event companies in North America, and Mattel, a global leader in children’s entertainment that specializes in the design and production of quality toys and consumer products, have brought to life this exclusive idea.

At the interactive attraction guests can pay a visit to Barbie’s iconic Dreamhouse with exquisitely designed rooms, a patio, and a ball pit pool, then stop by Barbie Laboratory, where every fan can discover their inner scientist, or play DJ and try instruments from Barbie in Music Production Studio. A fashionista’s dream may come true in Fashion Runway, where guests have a chance to walk a pink carpet and pose inside one of six iconic Barbie boxes. A pause can be taken in World of Barbie Café for some sweet treats and afternoon tea in true Barbie style. The real fans can enjoy the installation that presents the evolution of Barbie via a style gallery that features the Barbie dolls and Dreamhouses from different decades and an array of her vintage cars. If you loved playing with Barbie Dolls and her dream house as a child, then I've got some exciting news for you.

Toronto is getting an immersive Barbie experience this summer so you can live out your dreams of living in the Barbie DreamHouse.

The World of Barbie will be kicking off its tour this summer starting in Toronto and will be making its way across North America with stops in New York, Chicago, and Dallas.

Walk into a human-sized version of the imaginative world of Barbie and take a tour through not only her famous house but also through her neighbourhood streets.

Explore the different sets of her home and neighbourhood and even take a seat in the life-sized version of Barbie's famed pink camper van. The van also features a hammock you can relax in, a signature feature of the toy camper.

You Can Walk Through Barbie's Dreamhouse & Fulfill Your Childhood Dreams This Summer

In the iconic words of Aqua, “I’m a Barbie Girl, in a Barbie Woooorld.”

Admit it: You’ve imagined what it would be like to be Barbie. Hot pink shoes, perky hair, the most amazing collection of accessories, ever. Barbie is an icon for a reason! Now, your wildest dreams are about to come true. Like Tyra Banks in Life-Size , you too will soon be able to transform into a real-life doll at World of Barbie. (Yes, this is the perfect time to break out in a rendition of Aqua’s “Barbie Girl” — “Life in plastic, it’s fantastic!”)

Step inside a dollhouse more amazing than you’ve ever imagined at World of Barbie , an interactive exhibit created by Kilburn Live, a global market leader in branded live entertainment, and Mattel, Inc., the leading global toy company. The attraction will be touring across North America this summer!

At World of Barbie, you can walk through Barbie’s Dreamhouse, in all its pretty pink glory. “Explore intricately designed rooms and jaw dropping photo ops in Barbie’s Dreamhouse, set on the beaches of Malibu,” stated a press release. “Guests can start their own patio party complete with a DJ kit to mix their own music ‘poolside.’”

You can also wander through her neighborhood, stop in several interactive rooms, and sit inside her life-sized camper van, fitted with fabric by Ryan Friedlinghaus and his team at West Coast Customs. This working camper van has hidden surprises tucked away in true Barbie fashion, and plenty of places to take photos including the driver’s seat or the cozy hammock.

Dress your best for this exhibit because you’ll want to look good in the fashion studio, where you strut down the pink carpet and pose in a huge Barbie box. Once you’re TV-ready, head to the TV studio, where you can pretend to be a news anchor for The Barbie Show.

If you’re feeling adventurous, go to the space center, where you can take a journey through the galaxy in Barbie’s space shuttle. There are opportunities to interact with mission control, track objects on the radar, and listen to sounds of space through the audio transference device.

“The immersive exhibition invites guests of all ages to imagine a world of possibilities, such as becoming a scientist, designer, music producer, astronaut and more,” according to the press release.

MATTEL is bringing Barbie's dream house to cities throughout North America in an immersive experience.

Those wishing to visit the dream house will be able to walk through and stroll down the streets of Barbie's neighborhood.

When is the World of Barbie?

Mattel partnered with Kilburn Live to bring the immersive World of Barbie to fans of all ages.

The Barbie dream house will be a main focal point and was first created in 1962.

The immersive experience is now providing individuals of all ages with the opportunity to step into their childhood playset.

Kilburn CEO Mark Manuel said in a press release to the US Sun, “We were asked to bring Barbie’s playset to life. Who can say no to that opportunity?

“Barbie is as relevant today as she was when she was first introduced to the world 63 years ago, if not more.

"I watched my daughter live and play in her world, I believe it helped shape her sharp and lively imagination, just like it has for millions of other children growing up. So there were a lot of reasons we needed to get this right.”

Other features will include a lifesize version of Barbie's pink camper van, patio, and a fake swimming pool.

The tour will kick off in Toronto , Ontario in July 2022 and People reported Barbie's dream house will travel to New York , Houston, Texas , Los Angeles, California, Chicago , Illinois , and more.

More locations are expected to come but tour dates have not yet been released.

Why is the barbie dream house going on tour.

The Barbie dream house will provide a sense of nostalgia for fans who grew up with the playset and will bring back memories of their childhood, the CEO of Kilburn Live, Mark Manuel told People .

For younger Barbie fans, Manuel said this is an opportunity for people of all ages to immerse themselves in Barbie's world.

"Stepping into Barbie's real-life dream house, being transported to Malibu, sitting down in her camper van…there's no age limit to that," Manuel said.

"You also have an older generation who's going to walk through and be brought back to their childhood days," he added.

Barbie's dream house came during a time when women didn't have many rights but promoted a doll who had a career and her own home.

 “Throughout her history and numerous careers, Barbie has represented a world of limitless potential,” Julie Freeland, Senior Director of Location Based Entertainment at Mattel said in a press release to the US Sun.

“With this exquisitely designed attraction, we were intentional about delivering an exciting experience that would leave younger fans with the sense that they could do anything or be anything.

"And, for those who grew up with Barbie, we wanted to spark a little bit of nostalgia, give these fans a chance to step back, re-invent themselves, if only for an afternoon, and spend a day in the Dream Life!”

What attractions will be at the World of Barbie?

The press release says the following attractions will be included in the World of Barbie immersive experience:

• Barbie Dreamhouse – Visitors will be able to explore the designed rooms of the Barbie Dreamhouse, complete with a patio party and a DJ kit to mix music at the side of Barbie's pool.
• Barbie Camper Van – The life-size van will be parked in front of the dreamhouse and will allow guests to sit in the driver's seat and relax in Barbie's life-size hammock.
• Fashion Studio – Guests will be able to walk Barbie's pink carpet and pose inside of one of the six life-size Barbie boxes.
• TV Studio – Visitors can step onto the set of The Barbie Show and deliver headlines, give the weather report, or interview other guests.
• Space Center – Visitors will be able to board Barbie's space shuttle to interact with mission control and track objects on radar.

World's largest Barbie exhibition in Montréal

One of the best-loved dolls of all time now has her own exhibition at  Les Cours Mont-Royal  in downtown Montréal:  Barbie Expo  is the largest permanent exhibition of Barbie dolls in the world, and features more than 500 Barbies, including Hollywood stars, unique one-of-a-kind Barbie dolls and glamourous outfits created by famous fashion designers.

It’s a Barbie world

Admission is free to Barbie Expo which features Barbie dolls dressed by such world-renowned designers as Christian Dior, Vera Wang, and Diane von  Fürstenberg . Legendary show business designer Bob Mackie has also dressed some 30 Barbie dolls on display at Barbie Expo.

“Since the first model released in 1959, Barbie has always kept up with the trends and her never-ending wardrobe is full of every style from classic silhouettes to quick come-and-go fads,” says Valerie Law, Vice-President of Marketing and Communications for Les Cours Mont Royal. “If you look back at Barbie throughout the years, you will be able to see decades of the biggest trends styled in miniature proportions.”

There are also entertainment industry Barbies, including Beyoncé, Cyndi Lauper, Elvis, Grace Kelly, Lucille Ball and Cher dressed in her classic “If I Could Turn Back Time” outfit. Custom-made, one-of-a kind Barbie dolls include Kate Middleton, Marie Antoinette and Coco Chanel. There is also a fashion-show display complete with photographers (with flashing camera bulbs!) and models on a moving runway.

Celebrating diversity

Barbie Expo also celebrates diversity and features dolls of all sizes and skin colours. Says Law, “A lot of the dolls were donated by collectors and designers from around the world.”

Law adds, “The haute-couture Barbie Expo is about fashion embodied by Barbie and Montréal is a fashion-forward city. Since Les Cours Mont-Royal is located in the heart of downtown Montréal, and is the city’s most prestigious shopping centre – offering designer brands, unique European fashions and exclusive boutiques – having Barbie Expo at our location is a perfect fit.”
