The actor can see his daughter Suri up to 10 days a month, a source told Us Weekly exclusively in October 2018.

Not Worried

Katie actually talked about her daughter becoming a teenager back in August 2017. She said on the Today show, “She is 11 and a half and she’s a great girl and she’s doing so well and I’m enjoying this time … I’m not so worried yet about the teenage years.”

But that was a while ago! Now, Suri’s turning 14, which is obviously quite the milestone.

Suri’s mom seems to keep her too busy to get into too much trouble, though. They actually visited a refugee camp in Greece in March 2019. How many teenagers can say the same?

Because photos of Suri are not all that common, everyone is always curious which of her famous parents she’s shaping up to be the most like. A source told Radar Online in November that she’s turning into a Tom mini-me.

An insider told the online outlet, “Suri is morphing into her father’s image in more ways than one, and it’s even taken Katie by surprise. It’s not just her features – Suri’s personality is becoming more like Tom’s every day.”

The source further claimed that Suri is “meticulous about her diet and what she eats and how much, and she’s even started to get into her exercise. She’s quite bossy and likes to prove her point with over the top gestures, too,” which Radar compared to Tom’s own behavior and mannerisms.

Hopefully, some of Katie’s personality is rubbing off on her daughter too — although she did admit on Today that it won’t be her “coolness” that her daughter inherits. When Matt Lauer admitted that his daughter doesn’t find him as cool as she used to, Katie said, “I never was cool, I got nothing to lose.”

Happy Birthday, Suri! Katie Holmes Celebrates Daughter Turning 15 with Sweet Throwback Photos

In November, Katie Holmes called spending time in quarantine with her teenage daughter "the most precious gift"

On Sunday, Katie Holmes celebrated her only child's latest milestone with a sweet Instagram post, featuring a trio of rare black-and-white images of her daughter.

In the first photo, a younger Suri is seated in a kitchen with two boys, while the second and third show her being hugged by her proud mama.

"Happy 15th Birthday Sweetheart! I love you!!!!!!!! ❤️💕😘," Holmes, 42, wrote in the caption . "I can't believe you are already 15!"

Holmes is relatively private when it comes to offering glimpses of her daughter on social media (and rarely shows her face), but seems to make exceptions for her birthday .

Last year, the former Dawson's Creek star shared a photo of a floral wall decoration designed in honor of Suri's birthday and wrote a touching message to her teenager: "💕 Happy Birthday Sweetheart!!!!!!! 💕 I am so blessed to be your mom. May this year be incredible! 💕💕💕💕."

She later posted another image, which showed Suri from behind, donning a pink-and-white floral crown. Holmes captioned the latter snapshot , "Birthday vibes 💕💕."

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight that summer, the Pieces of April actress called the socially distanced party "a beautiful moment," adding, "This year is a reminder that the simple things are really beautiful. I think when you have less, you are more creative."

As the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown continued, Holmes wrote a piece for Vogue Australia's November issue , explaining that the unusual year allowed for more introspection and quality time with her daughter.

"Hobbies such as sewing, painting and writing became new hallmarks of satisfaction and having had time at home to just be. To listen," she wrote at the time. "To live for a moment in time without the pressure of results and instead appreciate the natural rhythms of mother and daughter was the most precious gift ."

The Batman Begin actress went on to recall how, during isolation, she reinforced her mantra to be more present in her daily life.

"During this time of uncertainty, remembering to be creative and positive has been something I have tried to keep at the forefront of my mind," said Holmes. "Throughout this experience the through-line for me has been a heightened awareness of each moment and really taking it in and appreciating it."

Katie Holmes celebrates Suri's 15th birthday with rare black-and-white pics

Katie Holmes celebrated her daughter Suri Cruise's 15th birthday by sharing rare photos of the teenager on Monday.

Holmes, 42, posted three photos to Instagram . One shows Suri as a child, sitting in a kitchen with two other children. The other images show Suri and Holmes together, hugging tightly; one photo seems to be from when the pair celebrated Holmes' mother's birthday in 2016 .

"Happy 15th Birthday Sweetheart! I love you!!!!!!!!" wrote Holmes, along with a string of emoji. "I can't believe you are already 15!"

Holmes rarely posts photos of her only child, though she does seem to make exceptions to celebrate Suri's birthday or other major milestones.

In 2017, Holmes told Town & Country that it was "very important" that Suri had a "stable, innocent childhood." Holmes has raised Suri as a single parent since 2012, when she divorced actor Tom Cruise.

"My child is the most important person to me, and her upbringing is paramount to my work right now," Holmes said at the time, when Suri was 10 years old. "It's very important that I'm present and she has a stable, innocent childhood. I feel so blessed to do what I do, but there's nothing in the world better than watching your child succeed."

In 2018, Holmes told TODAY Parents that her parenting goal is "to raise good humans."

“I do a lot to put perspective on life," Holmes said. "We help out the homeless. We do small acts of kindness. Again, it’s a daily thing. I don’t over-gift. Holmes told the Australian newspaper The Daily Telegraph in 2020 that she prefers to "keep (Suri) out of" her interviews but did share some details about the pair's time together in quarantine.

"I will say that this time of quarantine has been such a lesson, just really looking at everything you have and celebrating the simplicity of making dinner and (spending) that time together," said Holmes. "I feel strongly that the power of your own attitude definitely influences those around you, including your children."

Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise have places to go and people to see.

The mother-daughter duo was photographed at Los Angeles International Airport Monday night ahead of a flight to an unknown destination.

The “Dawson’s Creek” alum, 44, and her 17-year-old mini-me already bear an uncanny resemblance, but they were also dressed alike during the rare outing.

Holmes sported a dark gray sweatshirt atop a white T-shirt, which she pared with black sweatpants, Adidas sneakers, and an orange baseball cap.

The actress completed her look with a brown purse, opting for no jewelry or makeup.

Meanwhile, Cruise rocked a light gray zip-up hoodie, white joggers, black sneakers, and a canvas tote slung over her shoulder — just like her mama.

Holmes spoke about her desire to keep her teenager safe in an unusually personal interview earlier this month.

“What has been really important for me with my daughter, because she was so visible at a young age, is I really like to protect her,” she told Glamour magazine .

The “Batman Begins” actress went on to describe Cruise as “an incredible person” and said she felt “grateful” to be her mom.

Holmes is likely doubly protective of her only child given her highly publicized and seemingly traumatic divorce from Suri’s dad, Tom Cruise.

A source exclusively told Page Six last month that Tom, a devout Scientologist , has no part in his youngest kid’s life and has not seen her in a long time .

During a deposition for his 2012 defamation lawsuit against Bauer Media — which was  later settled  — the “Top Gun” franchise star was asked whether his ex-wife had ended their relationship “in part to protect Suri from Scientology.”

He responded at the time, “That was one of the assertions, yes.”

The actor, 60, notably distanced himself from Suri after Holmes left him. According to former Scientologist Leah Remini, that’s because the “First Daughter” star is a “suppressive person,”  which is considered an “enemy” to active members of the controversial organization.

Katie Holmes is shining a spotlight on her love for daughter Suri Cruise .

Holmes, who shares the 16-year-old with ex-husband Tom Cruise , gushed about collaborating with her teen daughter in her cinematic work  in an interview with Glamour magazine published Wednesday. Suri lent her vocals to songs featured in two of Holmes’ recent films, the 2022 romantic drama "Alone Together" and the upcoming "Rare Objects," both of which Holmes directed.

"I hope she always does something on my films. I always ask her," Holmes told the magazine. "But both of those experiences came out of the same sense of what I love about our industry, which is, you have these projects and you become a family with people."

Holmes added: "So it comes out of love for me to include someone who I love dearly. That’s how I like to work. I like to have that kind of feeling. It was very meaningful to me to have her there, because she’s my heart."

Holmes, who is famously private about her daughter, also spoke about her protectiveness as a mother.

The 17-year-old, who is the daughter of  Tom Cruise , 61, and  Katie Holmes , 44, was seen keeping cool in the shade on a hot day in New York's Soho.

Suri opted for a sheer white vest top and black joggers for her outing.

She completed the look with a pair of black trainers and a shoulder bag with a floral strap.

The teen styled her hair into a middle parting and let her locks fall naturally past her shoulders.

Suri also sported a natural make-up look.

It’s been rumored for years that the Top Gun star is no longer involved in Suri’s life because of his ties with Scientology. The Daily Mail reported in March he has been out of the picture since 2013, a year after his divorce from Katie. “Suri does not know her father anymore and she has not spent time with him in a decade,” said the insider. “She does not go to see his movies and he has no part in her life.” He does however provide economic support. TMZ previously reported that since the divorce, he would pay $400,000 a month in child support until Suri turned 18 years old.

While he’s known as Mission Impossible’s  secret agent Ethan Hunt to most of the world, to Tom Cruise’s kids , he’s simply dad—and there’s truly no greater role than that.

Suri Cruise

Suri is Tom Cruise’s youngest child. The Academy Award-nominated actor welcomed his daughter in April 2006 with his then-wife, Katie Holmes, whom he first started dating in June 2005. The former couple reportedly got engaged that same year after only seven weeks of dating. Around the same time, Holmes, who was raised Catholic, reportedly began converting to Cruise’s Church of Scientology. The pair ultimately split in 2012, and it is believed that the Dawson’s Creek alum filed for divorce from Cruise in part to “ protect ” their daughter Suri from Scientology.

Holmes talked about how she wanted to give her child a normal childhood. She told Town & Country at the time, “My child is the most important person to me, and her upbringing is paramount to my work right now. It’s very important that I’m present and she has a stable, innocent childhood. I feel so blessed to do what I do, but there’s nothing in the world better than watching your child succeed.”

Connor Cruise

Tom Cruise’s only son, Connor, was born in January 1995. The  Risky Business  star adopted Connor shortly after his birth with his then-wife, Nicole Kidman. The former couple, who got married in December 1990 and divorced in 2001, also adopted a daughter, Isabella, three years before they welcomed their son.

Isabella Cruise

Isabella “Bella” Cruise is Tom Cruise’s eldest child. Bella was adopted by Cruise and his then-wife Nicole Kidman during their marriage, which lasted for a decade until 2001. Like her dad, Bella is a notoriously private person. What we do know about her is that she’s currently based in London, where she works as an artist and owns her own company. Bella is also married to Max Parker, an IT consultant.

When Bella got married in 2015, there was some speculation that she was estranged from her mother and father because neither attended the wedding. The artist has since shut down those claims, telling the  Daily Mail  in 2016, “Of course [we talk], they’re my parents. Anyone who says otherwise is full of shit.”

The marriage eventually ended in 2001, with Cruise agreeing to pay "tens of millions" in child support for the pair's two adopted children, Connor and Isabella (via Daily Mail ). Since the couple's very public relationship ended, both children have mostly managed to stay out of the spotlight ... until now. 

Bella Kidman-Cruise posted a rare selfie to her Instagram Story

Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise's daughter, Isabella "Bella" Kidman-Cruise, posted a rare selfie in July 2021 to her Instagram Story while watching England vs. Denmark in the Euro 2020 semi-final (via Daily Mail ). Along with the black-and-white photo (similar in tone to the one above), Kidman-Cruise included the caption, "My face during extra time ... fingers crossed," punctuated by the flag of England emoji (via Instagram ). 

Kidman-Cruise lives away from the spotlight in South London. Her website,  Bella Kidman Cruise , features a number of designs including totes, prints, and t-shirts. While the artist was married in 2015 to computer programmer Max Parker (via E! Online ), neither parent nor her brother was present for her nuptials. It is alleged that Kidman is estranged from both of her adopted children, as both Kidman-Cruise and her little brother have followed in their father's footsteps as practicing Scientologists.

Kidman has stated that she "utterly" respects her adopted children's beliefs and calls them "generous, kind and hardworking" (via E! Online). It's unclear what kind of relationship Kidman-Cruise has today with her mother, stepfather Keith Urban, and half siblings, Sunday and Faith, but Kidman-Cruise turned heads when she began liking her mother's Instagram posts in the fall of 2020 (via Daily Mail ). We hope the Hollywood royalty clan can heal their rift and become a family once again.

As Suri Cruise reached her 18th birthday, rumours have swirled that she is no longer in contact with her famous dad Tom Cruise .

Suri celebrated her big day with her mum, Katie Holmes , spending the afternoon shopping in the New York sunshine.

Tom, 61, was nowhere to be seen and is currently filming for a new project in London with no word on whether he sent any birthday wishes.

Their relationship is said to be so strained that Suri has decided to ditch her last name, going instead by Suri Noelle — her mother’s middle name.

In 2016, a US outlet reported the teenager  has a huge rift with her father and the pair have not been in contact for years.

Tom, who has two more children, hasn’t been pictured with Suri for years but is believed to have been paying child support as per his and Katie’s divorce settlement.

Was Tom Cruise involved in Suri’s childhood?

In April 2006, Katie and Tom revealed to the world they had welcomed a baby girl and five months later they graced the cover of Vanity Fair with Suri in their arms.

They married in a Scientologist church months later and lots of pictures of Tom out and about carrying his newborn cropped up.

‘My whole life I always wanted to be a father,’ he gushed to the publication at the time, having adopted Connor and Isabella with Nicole Kidman previously.

‘I always said to myself that my children would be able to depend on me and I would always be there for them and love them — that I’d never make a promise to my kids that I couldn’t keep.’

Things seemed to be going swimmingly until six years later when the Dawson’s Creek star filed for divorce while Tom was away filming Oblivion.

When was Tom Cruise last seen with Suri?

Around the time of the divorce was the last time Tom was publicly pictured with Suri, taking her to Disney World in 2012.

At the time, a spokesperson for the Top Gun star said: ‘Kate has filed for divorce and Tom is deeply saddened and is concentrating on his three children.’

The high profile split was said to be in part due to Katie’s fears around Scientology, after members of the group moved into their home.

Speaking to  the Daily Mail before his death, founder Ron Miscavige said the decision ‘didn’t sit so well with Katie, of course, and it hurt the marriage.’

When the divorce was settled, the Batman Begins star was granted sole custody plus $400,000 (£315,456) per year in child support until Suri turned 18.

It’s reported that Tom has not seen Suri in the 10 years since, with the pair being no contact for the last three years.

A source told Heat magazine: ‘Tom is feeling guilty about missing so much of her life, but insists that he hasn’t completely shut Suri out of his life, and does get updates from time to time.’

Has Katie Holmes said anything about Suri and Tom’s relationship?

Katie has not commented on Tom’s relationship with their daughter but has been incredibly open about how protective she feels over Suri’s privacy.

‘What has been really important for me with my daughter, because she was so visible at a young age, is I really like to protect her,’ she told Glamour last year.

‘I’m very grateful to be a parent, to be her parent. She’s an incredible person.’

‘I love her so much,’ the mom-of-one told InStyle in 2020. ‘My biggest goal has always been to nurture her into her individuality, to make sure she is 100 percent herself and strong, confident and able.

‘And to know it. She came out very strong — she’s always been a strong personality.’

Tom Cruise’s Kids: Everything to Know About His Mysterious Relationships With Connor, Isabella & Suri

Tom Cruise may be the biggest movie star, but he's also a family man! We've got all the details on Tom Cruise's relationships with his son Connor and daughters Isabella and Suri.

Tom Cruise is an iconic actor, but more importantly, he’s a father. The Top Gun star, who has been married three times , shares two adopted kids — Connor Cruise  and Isabella ‘Bella’ Cruise  — with his ex-wife, Academy Award-winning actress Nicole Kidman . He also has one biological child, a daughter named Suri  with his other ex-wife, Katie Holmes .

Tom lives an extremely private life, despite being a major movie star. While he may hit the occasional red carpet if he has a movie premiering, the actor is rarely photographed anywhere else, or with his kids. Though, he does have a relationship with all three. Tom was most recently seen in a photo in December 2023 with his and Nicole’s children, Connor and Bella, after athlete Derrick Brooks shared a group shot to Instagram .

Isabella Cruise

Tom and Nicole adopted Connor and Isabella during their decade-long marriage in the ’90s. Isabella, who was born on December 22, 1992, took a page out of her father’s book by adopting a lifestyle away from the spotlight, however, she recently resurfaced on her Instagram  with a selfie on August 25, and fans went wild. The new photo came four months after she last shared a photo of her face online, so her followers were elated to see her sharing a new picture of herself.

The London-based artist owns a company with the title of her namesake, “Bella Kidman Cruise,” which sells phone cases, tote bags, and more. As far as her personal life is concerned, Bella married Max Parker , an IT consultant, in an intimate ceremony in London in September of 2015. Neither Bella’s nor Max’s parents attended, which led to speculation that she was estranged from her parents. Though, that was later proven not to be the case .

“Of course [we talk], they’re my parents. Anyone who says otherwise is full of sh-t,” Isabella told Daily Mail in March of 2016. When asked if it was hard not to have Tom walk Isabella down the aisle to give her away, Max admitted, “Yeah. It is what it is.” Isabella also has a good relationship with her mother, whose last name is included in her company’s name. And, she’s close with her brother, Connor, which is evidenced by various social media posts.

Isabella caused a slight stir in July 2021 when she and brother Connor both posted a selfie – a rare thing from these private kids – on the same day. Bella’s selfie was taken during the Euro Championship when England took on Denmark. “My face during extra time. Fingers crossed,” she captioned the shot. It clearly worked, as England prevailed. Earlier in the year, Bella posted another selfie – a black and white photo advertising prints in her shop. When Isabella shared a snap in September 2021 , fans thought she looked amazing.

Connor Cruise

Just like his sister, Connor, who was born on January 17, 1995, also enjoys living a private life. Though, he was very much in the spotlight in the past. Connor briefly followed in his parents’ footsteps and starred in two films — 2008’s Seven Pounds and 2012’s Red Dawn remake. The well-accomplished DJ eventually pursued his passion for deep-sea fishing, though, and now spends a lot of time in Clearwater, Florida, as seen on his Instagram page. Connor is very close with his sister, which was further proven by a cute throwback photo he shared to his Instagram in August 2019.

Connor appears to be quite close with his dad, too, as the two were most recently spotted together in October 2019. The father and son bonded over the actor’s love for helicopters, according to People — which reported that Tom took Connor on a chopper in London to show him “some aviation basics.” In 2012, Connor tweeted a black and white baby photo of himself, along with Isabella, in the arms of Tom.

While on a fishing trip in Costa Rica in February 2021, Connor showed off a catch that was almost bigger than him. “ Yellowfin were chewing today ,” he captioned the shot. He became an “ influencer ” in March of that year, launching the @connorsmeatshack IG account with his friend, Kim Joyce . The BBQ-themed account featured Connor’s love of grilling, and the man knows his way around a “rolled cap of ribeye and some lobstah tails,” as he put it . When the summer months rolled around, Connor decided to shave off his hair. “ New face, who dis? ” he captioned a June 8 IG story.

While on an August 2022 fishing trip with friends, Connor showed off his catch – a massive fish he hauled in from the ocean. In his most recent post, Connor revealed that he and his fishing buddies donated a large portion of their catch — “108 pounds of grouper” to be exact — to a charity. “I know it was tough to fit that in the truck but glad the fish was able to go and help those in need of it!!,” he wrote. Overall, Connor is enjoying a life of fishing, grilling, and living in the great outdoors.

Suri Cruise

Following his 2001 divorce from Nicole, Tom went on to marry Katie Holmes in 2006. They welcomed their only biological child, a daughter named Suri, that same year on April 18. Suri made her magazine debut on the October 2006 cover of Vanity Fair with her then-married parents. The accompanying photoshoot showed the family smiling while cuddled up together. Unfortunately, the trio didn’t have a happily ever after. Tom and Katie eventually divorced in 2012, and the actor has rarely been seen out with his daughter since the split. Believe it or not, one of their last photographs together was at Disneyland on January 25, 2012.

Tom’s relationship with Suri is a tumultuous one , multiple sources have expressed to  Hollywood Life . “As challenging as things have become for him and his daughter, he still loves her,” an insider told us in April 2019. “Tom never intended to be estranged from his daughter when he decided to have a family with Katie, and he looks forward to repairing their relationship one day,” the source said. Tom and Katie have never spoken publicly about his estranged relationship with Suri. And it’s unclear when the actor and his now teenage daughter last saw one another. Suri resides with her mother in New York City, where she attends school.

While Tom and Suri’s relationship has remained strained, she has continued to have a positive connection with her mother. Suri and Katie are often seen together on the streets of New York City. Suri turned 18 in 2024.
