I purchased a solar system and a whole home back up generator. In my proposal my estimated new electric bill was $26 per month plus $130 per month for the solar so basically a wash which I would be totally fine with. Since my solar has been installed and up and running because it did take Clay Electric several months to switch my meter which is not Solar Trek's issue. $206 + $130 $178+ $130 $213 + $130 $202 + $130 $127 + $130 $132 + $130 I also have a home in California with solar and its a little larger and too date my bills are $0 or negatives every month which makes me question the quality of my system by Solar Trek. In December my solar payment jumps to $185 per month so do your homework before you buy. I'm giving them 2 stars because they did a nice job on the generator(generator alone is 4 stars)and they always come out when I call them but I don't think solar is their area of expertise.

Called to report a leak in my water heating system. They have put me off for over a week. Said to just turn it off. Said they are only in the area on Tuesdays and my call too late to get in tomorrow. So totally dissatisfied. Worked with this company in the '80s and '90s and they were great. No more.

To Patrick A. (Solar Trek) I would like to thank you and your crew that repaired a roof leak caused by my solar panels pool heater brackets. On 11/09/2021 you sent two great techs to evaluate, find and repair the leak on my roof. They spent about 1 & 1/2 hours finding and resealing the mounting brackets, I was super pleased with their expert knowledge of the repairs they made. Matt and Elijah were two of the nicest techs I've ever met. They were very professional and seemed very caring and thorough with the repairs they made. I can't say enough good things about this company. The original system was installed in 2012. When I asked Matt for the bill, he said it was covered under warranty. That just goes to show you, Solar Trek stands behind their work, even after 9 years! They really do care about their customers and their reputation. This company has some of the finest workers in Citrus. They installed my pool heating system several years ago and barring the squirrel problem its been a wonderful addition. They responded to the squirrel hole quickly and efficently and all was done at a very fair price. I just had my roof replaced and needed Solar Teck to remove and then reinstall after the roof was complete. They were here right on schedule and didn't stop till installation was complete. Can't say enough good about this outfit. DON'T HESITATE TO CALL THESE FOLKS FOR ALL YOUR SOLAR NEEDS.

Solar Trek installed the solar heating system for our pool several years ago. When I noticed that a salt water leak from a valve in the system had dripped salt water and badly rusted the cabinet housing my chlorine generator, almost to the point of exposing the generator to the elements, Kris and Nate from Solar Trek came out and replaced it. The computer inside the cabinet was very close to being exposed to the elements and, had they not intervened, I would have had to pay more than $1,000 for a new one. They also relocated the valve and gave me some useful information to help me better utilize my generator. Even though I could have (maybe should have) realized what was happening earlier, they took responsibility for the problem and cheerfully corrected it. Thanks guys... really appreciate it!

My husband and I purchased both Pool Heating Panels and Solar Panels from Solar Trek. We met with Mr. Jim Schwed, Senior Engergy Advisor, who was absolutely amazing. He was trustworthy and highly knowledgeable about his products and knew exactly what we needed and wanted. He met with us as often as we requested without any hesitation. The installation process was a breeze and the quality of care was above standard. We are extremely pleased with our investment and made a wise choice to trust Mr. Schwed. We got everything he said we would get with no disappointments or regrets. My husband and I highly recommend Solar Trek and Mr. Schwed.

We had mad our mind up with another company. But Jim insisted on sitting down to see if we were getting a good deal. It turned out, the other company was ripping us off by $10k. Needless to say, we immediately canceled with the other company and went with Solar Trek. Jim ended up showing us a system less expensive and upgradable if JEA lawsuit is finalized. We ended up with a system costing $44k vs. All American Solar charging us $67k. You need to give Jim a call first and save yourself time and money.

Solar Trek came out to give us a quote in a very efficient timeline. The sales rep (Jim) wasn't pushy, but extremely informative and helpful. If you are looking to install solar panels, they should definitely be considered to gain your business!

I called Solar Trek to fix a rooftop leak in my pool heating system. They were recommended by my pool service guy who doesn't climb on roofs. They came out and fixed the leak in my 14 year old pool heater. Fast service reasonable price.

I am so incredibly happy we were referred to Kyle and Solar Trek! After we got completely screwed over by another solar company in the area, Kyle came to our rescue. I spoke with him on the phone around noon and he was here at 5pm to help us! He knew exactly what needed done and made the repairs on the spot! He was able to answer all our questions about the system that we've had for 2 years and never been able to even to turn on. We paid Solar Trek to put in their Solar Pool Heater in October 2022. They did not get the required permit and installed the work illegally. They told us they HAD the permit when we scheduled the work. They did not. We are only in Florida for the winter months and they knew this from the beginning. To our surprise, we discovered their Solar Heater does not work well in the winter months! The pool has only been warm enough to swim 2 times so far. Then we discovered the Solar System had not been attached to our roof properly! Only 7 out of 23 lag screws (the ones we can see) were attached to the roof trusses as promised and required by their engineering specs and the manufacturer. They failed to install 64 screws that connect the 2 halves of the clamps that hold the solar collectors to the roof. This is also required by their engineering specs and the manufacturer. Then, they tried to sell us a Heat Pump for more money. We turned that down because they had lied to us repeatedly, lied about getting a permit and didn’t do the work properly or as designed. Now we are in a battle to get this resolved. Our pool is too cold to us 95% of the time, and they won’t even send someone to look at the terrible work they did! On 12-21-23 we asked them to remove the Solar Trek System from our roof and give our money back. Patrick Altier, Solar Trek, Inc. owner, said they would send a refund check out that day and remove the system the following week. They never sent the check and never came out! A week later they sent a “Release and Covenant not to Sue”. They said they would not give us our money back or remove their system from our roof until AFTER we signed and notarized this document. They also wanted to “PATCH” the 42 holes they put in our roof! These patches will leak, but we will have no right to sue, and would be stuck replacing the roof ourselves! We are completely dissatisfied with this company. All we wanted was to get what we paid for, nothing more nothing less. What they did to us is a crime! Robert S. The Villages, FL

Experienced a small leak after three years. Solar Trek, Ocala Florida responded immediately, fixed the problem and is paying to repaint entire ceiling effected. Been a customer of solar York for thirteen years and after this outstanding effort on their part, a customer for life.

SOLAR TREK, Inc. is a privately held Florida corporation founded by Vincent Biel in 1981 and then purchased by Mr. Biel's son-in-law, Patrick Altier in 2010. Starting as a manufacturer of thermosiphon solar domestic hot water systems, SOLAR TREK continues to manufacture solar hot water components from patents held by the company. The company has evolved to a full service solar renewable energy company to include solar pool heating systems, solar air conditioning and solar electric. About the president

Patrick altier graduated high school in ponca city, oklahoma and went on to oklahoma state university. after a long career in banking, the economic downturn of 2008 had him looking for new challenges and opportunities. an opportunity presented itself as vince was ready to retire after 30 years in the solar business. after the years of winters in chicago and new york, the warm weather of florida and a burgeoning solar industry seemed like the right decision. after working with vince for several years and obtaining a state certified solar contractor's license, it was off to the races. utilizing his years of banking experience to show the financial feasibility of solar and the knowledge gained by working with one of florida's most experienced solar contractors, solar trek has grown over 300%. the move turned out to be a great decision. in addition to his responsibilities at solar trek, patrick has the pleasure to serve as president of the florida solar energy industries association (flaseia)..
