Enjoy The Journey DSP Card

Sale-A-Bration is half way over and Stampin’ Up! has added Mini & Annual catalog items to choose for FREE with qualifying orders. One of those items is the gorgeous Enjoy the Journey Designer Series Paper pack. I created this quick, simple, but lovely card with the He’s All That stamp set and the On the Ocean stamp set. Start with a Highland Heather cardstock card base. Cut a Starry Sky cardstock panel and an Enjoy the Journey Designer Series Paper panel. Stamp the birds from the On the Ocean stamp set in Starry Sky ink above the mountains on the Enjoy the Journey Designer Series Paper panel. Glue the panels together. Wrap the panels with the White Crinkled Seam Bidding ribbon twice and then tie in a knot on the bottom right of the panels. Snip off the excess ribbon tails. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the wrapped panels to the card base.

Die cut a Basic White cardstock circle and a Starry Sky cardstock scalloped circle with the Layering Circles dies. Stamp the compass rose from the He’s All That stamp set in Starry Sky ink on the Basic White cardstock circle.

Glue the stamped circle to the scalloped circle and then use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the circles to the left side of the card front overlapping the wrapped ribbon. Add a Solid Faceted Gem to the center of the compass rose for sparkle.

Don’t forget to add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Stamp the birds and the sentiment from the On The Ocean stamp set in Starry Sky ink. Add a strip of Starry Sky cardstock to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.

Project Recipe

Start with a Highland Heather cardstock card base. Cut a Starry Sky cardstock panel and an Enjoy the Journey Designer Series Paper panel. Stamp the birds from the On the Ocean stamp set in Starry Sky ink above the mountains on the Enjoy the Journey Designer Series Paper panel. Glue the panels together. Wrap the panels with the White Crinkled Seam Bidding ribbon twice and then tie in a knot on the bottom right of the panels. Snip off the excess ribbon tails. I have been playing around with the BRAND new Enjoy the Journey Suite. I designed two drastically different cards using the same set.

Stampin’ Up! Enjoy the Greatest Journey Among the Stars with Video Tutorial

Good morning, y’all!  For some reason, I’ve been thinking the Super Bowl was today.  Why did I think it was played in January?  You can see I keep VERY close tabs on professional football, right? 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

My card today is a really cool one (she says modestly) using the new Greatest Journey bundle and one of my favorite DSP designs ever – from the coordinating Enjoy the Journey DSP !  Take a look-see:

I was trying to re-create a cold Colorado mountain night.

What do you think??  Did I hit the mark?

The layout is from the Global Design Project sketch challenge this week.

I started by adhering a star-field-strewn piece of Starry Sky paper from the new Enjoy the Journey DSP onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock.

The mountain is another piece of Basic Black cardstock that I cut the top of using the edge-die in the Greatest Journey die set.

Using a Sponge Dauber and swiping from the top-down, I brushed the top edge with Whisper White Craft ink.

Then I adhered the mountain to the card front with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and popped the whole thing onto the front of my Starry Sky card base with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used another Enjoy the Journey die to cut out a Basic White moon, which I adhered with Liquid Glue.

Using the two larger cloud dies, I cut out four Basic Gray Clouds.  These also got the sponging with Whisper White ink using the Daubers.

I stamped the Greatest Journey sentiment in Versamark Ink on a piece of Starry Sky cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder and set the powder with my Heat Tool.  Once it had cooled, I cut it out with the smallest wide Stitched Rectangle Die .

There’s a fun stamp in the Greatest Journey set with a bunch of little stars – so I used that to stamp around the sentiment in Whisper White Craft ink.

I adhered the sentiment and the clouds with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the Greatest Journey sentiment in Starry Sky on a piece of Basic White cardstock.  Across the bottom I stamped the trees image a few times in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Basic Black mat and then into my Starry Sky card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Tuxedo Black Memento ink trees on the front…

…and some more of the beautiful starry Enjoy the Journey DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Well – as I mentioned on the video (link below) – I really struggled with the clouds – there are a LOT of die cut clouds in my trash bin!! – but…I am so happy with what I settled on – they ended up to be very close to the idea I had in my head!  The sweet dies from the Greatest   Journey are great for cutting clouds and mountains – and tents, and lanterns, and hikers and and and….I barely scratched the surface! And the amazing Enjoy the Journey DSP is simply stunning!

As I was looking back at a few pics I’ve taken – I found this one…

Sometimes it takes more help than others.

But – the thing that made me snort my Diet Mt Dew out my nose is…his eye.  Look at Finn’s eye! 😂😂😂

He looks so intent – and a little frantic!  The whole thing just made me laugh out loud!

Greatest Journey & Enjoy the Jounrey

Yesterday I shared some cards using the Greatest Journey stamp set and Enjoy the Journey DSP.  Did you get the feeling those items would only work for “guy cards”?  It’s easy to get in that mindset, but don’t get stuck there!  Although I feel like the dies lend themselves toward more masculine images, the stamp set really isn’t masculine.

Check it out.

You can focus more on the plants and scenery in this set for a less masculine look.

Here’s an example.

Look at those flowers with that lovely background!  Isn’t that pretty?  This card is very similar to one pictured in the Annual Catalog, however, I expanded it for a normal card size instead of a square card.

Picturesque Scenery Card

I love this scenery card I got in a Demonstrator card swap, from Laurie Alexander in Burlington, ON.  Laurie used the Stampin’ Up! Picturesque stamp set and the Enjoy the Journey Designer Series Paper (see the full list of supplies at the end of the post).  Both the Picturesque stamp set and the Enjoy the Journey Designer Series Paper are both available in the current Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalogue. The pieces of the stamp set fit together to make a scene.  I’ve labelled the stamp set so you can see how the stamps fit together.

You can also check out this video , where I show how to use and layer the Picturesque stamp set.

The card fold on this card from Laurie is called a gatefold card.  The measurements/instructions for this offset gatefold card are:

• card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
• score card base at 2 1/2″  x 6  3/4″
• Fold both scored ends into the middle.
• Designer Series Paper left-hand side: 5 1/4″ x 2 1/4″
• Embossed cardstock right-hand side: 5 1/4″ x 1  1/2″
• Square on front: 3″ x 3″

Tent Under the Stars from the Greatest Journey

Card photos, card supplies, more from the new 2023 mini catalog, greatest journey card.

You belong among the stars ~ inspirational card from the Stampin’ Up! Enjoy the Journey Suite . This is a fun card for anyone on your list, but especially for your outdoor lovers.

I used the Greatest Journey stamp set for the words. The stars background is from the designer series paper, which is available for purchase OR you can get it free during Saleabration . I added sparkly Rhinestones among the stars in the DSP. The tent, clouds, moon and ground edge lit are from the Greatest Journey die set.

My Elegant Cards

Liz bailey – independent stampin' up demonstrator, enjoy the journey dsp.

This week I’m focusing on the Enjoy the Journey DSP, another product I found in my unused stack. I can’t imagine how that happened, this is lovely paper. 

The Enjoy the Journey DSP was cut to 5 1/4 by 4 inches and then added to a white card base. I tried out a few sentiments but it detracted from the paper’s beauty so in the end, as you can see, I left it blank.

I will be making this card, along with 2 others using this paper at my Facebook Live on Sunday at 11am. You can watch live, see the replay or check it out on YouTube.
