Riff-monsters Crobot conjures up the kind of rock ‘n’ roll that has grooves so powerful they throw you around the room and hooks high enough to shake the heavens. They take the sweet-sounding nectar of the gods and pour it down your throat until you’re wailing along like a banshee.

With tens of millions of streams, countless shows and acclaim from the likes of Metal Hammer, Classic Rock, Kerrang, BBC Radio, SiriusXM Octane, Loudwire, Guitar World and more, Brandon Yeagley [vocals], Chris Bishop

[guitar], Tim Peugh [bass], and Dan Ryan [drums] realize their vision like never before on their fifth full-length,  Feel This  [Released June 3 via Mascot Records].

Feel This  is the follow-up to 2019s Top 10 Heatseekers album  Motherbrain – whose c umulative streams have surpassed 30 million. 20 million of which were for the goliath single “Low Life” – a US Top 10 at active rock radio on the Billboard Mainstream with a 29-week run.

“This is the record we’ve been wanting to do ever since we started,” exclaims Brandon. “We’ve always thought of ourselves as a live act,” he continues. “When Jay Ruston described his process of recording, we were beyond excited about getting in and getting our hands dirty. It involved performing live as a unit and finishing all instruments on a song before moving on to the next. We recorded 16 songs in 21 days, which is a feat in itself.”

Feel This  is a tale of perseverance. “Through constant struggles, we learn more what it’s like to be human. Our shortcomings and strengths alike make us a unique species,” Brandon reflects. “Feel This very well may point to our biggest strength of all, our ability to feel emotion (for better or worse).”

Human nature is threaded throughout the album, from volatile relationships [“Dizzy”] to imperfections and learning from mistakes on “Holy Ghost.” Its warbling harmony wraps around the wah-drenched guitar straight out of Seattle; Brandon’s grunge-y wail rings out on the hook, “I am not the holy ghost. I won’t ever save your soul.” There’s “believing in something  so much ” on “Set You Free,” which spirals towards a seismic crescendo and emotionally charged guitar lead from Bishop.

Around the psyche-digging lyrics, they are never far away from thunderous rock ‘n’ roll. “Electrified” kickstarts the album as a rip-roaring livewire anthem. “It’s your classic rock ‘n’ roll tune about Frankenstein boots and being invincible!” Brandon says. There’s an epic anti-hero tale on “Without Wings,” and then there’s “Dance with the Dead.” Forgetting your troubles over an irresistible groove, the song struts with high-register harmonies and the infectious chant of “Let’s go dance with the dead. They know how to kill it!”

“Golden” is a soaring homage to a god-gone-too soon. “When it came to the lyrics, we collectively wanted it to be a tribute to Chris Cornell,” says Brandon. “We’re so influenced by everything he and Soundgarden have done. We ran with the song in honor of his legacy.”

They made waves with  Legend of the Spaceborne Killer  [2012],  Something Supernatural  [2014], and  Welcome To Fat City  [2016]. However,  Motherbrain  [2019] represented a high watermark. They’ve crisscrossed the US and the world in road-warrior style, playing with the likes of Anthrax, Black Label Society, Chevelle, Clutch, Volbeat and more. They’ve lit up festival bills and the annual Shiprocked! Cruise. “We tour the pockets off of our pants and sleep in our van for half of the year. To some, that may seem like misery, but to us – it’s Heaven baby!” the frontman says. Something they highlight on the new song, “Livin’ on the Streets”.

2019 ended with a US tour supporting Steel Panther, and then Covid19 punched the world in the face. As the Global Pandemic descended upon us, Chris and Dan hunkered down in Austin to jam and cut demos, sending ideas to Brandon back in Pennsylvania. 2021 saw the boys enter Orb Studios in Austin with producer Ruston [Stone Sour, Anthrax, Steel Panther]. Since the world has begun to open up, the band have not stood still.  Rat Child  EP was released last summer and featured a mighty cast of  Frank Bello  [Anthrax],  Howard Jones  [Light The Torch/ex-Killswitch Engage] and  Stix Zadinia  [Steel Panther]. They’ve also headed out on headline tours, played ass-kicking performances at festivals such as Rocklahoma, Aftershock, the Jericho Cruise and supported Halestorm.

You’ll feel rock ‘n’ roll comes to life in Crobot’s hands. “We never want to make the same album twice,” Brandon leaves off. “There is something for every Crobot fan out there as well as newcomers. At the same time, we’re having fun. We want to be taken seriously, but not too seriously—because this is monkey hour after all.” “That’s the fucking line right there,” agrees Bishop. “We want you to walk away smiling. If I can make you smile, I’ve done my job.”

02/28/2020 CROBOT show at Capone's in Johnson City Tennessee

First off...I must say, that I needed this outing really bad. My spirit needed to be energized back to full power. And I couldn't of picked a better band to accomplish this.

CROBOT gets the job done! Well rounded, high energy, theatrical performance, lyrics with substance and weight, with a tempo and enough volume to get the blood flowing and sweat going. I am a fan.

The guys were fun to listen too, and meet. Very hands on kinda guys too. They love the fans and it shows. It was a blast on this particular evening as it was a homecoming for one of the members. One big happy family...that's how it felt at this show. And I was glad to be part of it!

I LOVE CROBOT! Only my second time seeing them, but loved them so much the first time I flew from Cincinnati to New Orleans to see them again! I only wish they had been the headlining act so I could have heard more. This band is a true Rock 'n' Roll band. They songwriting is really unique...more so on the first album...I hope they get back to some of those quirkier lyrics, but the second album didn't disappoint. The musicians are tight too...although the regular bassist wasn't there, they still sounded great. Thank you Crobot for giving me something to be excited about...it's been awhile! If you haven't seen this band...you've got to!

Crobot was great. The lead singer is entertaining & the music is great. Love the venue although surprised how few people came out to see them. I'm a stage hugger & fully expected a crush when they started. The crush never came. Mardi Gras beads for man boobs. I got one. Austin is the best city for live music. I grew up in the NY Metro area & live in the Philly Metro area now! Very impressed with both my trips here

Crobot is a great live band. Lots of fun and energy. My son and I saw them live in Greenville at a small place and met the lead singer Brandon. Even for the small venue and even smaller crowd (Sunday night on a work/school night) they put on a great show not pulling back any energy. Brandon is very animated and entertaining on stage and brings a lot of energy. I highly recommend catching them live.

i was very excited for this gig, i really was but i was disappointing the lead singer was overly arrogant and swore every over word in his unbuttoned poser shirt. the mixing above all else was naf as i couldn't understand or even here the vocals over the guitars, overall not a great experience!

Six things you need to know about Crobot

Meet Crobot: the Pennsylvanian quartet who aren't only rock’n’roll, and we like it

A photograph of Crobot holding strange dolls in a junk shop

A giggling, hairy embodiment of marijuana , heavy metal and fantasy fiction, Crobot seem like any group of cheerfully immature geeks. That is until you hear them play. Since forming in 2011, they’ve mastered an explosive blend of classic rock, metal and funky sensibilities, with electrifying gigs to match . So it seemed appropriate to photograph them at London art installation House Of Dreams – a place with similarly explosive, trippy qualities.

“I think with our new material we’re definitely stretching the ends of the spectrum,” says vocalist Brandon Yeagley, a softly-spoken guy compared to his hair-helicoptering on stage persona.

“We’re about seventy-five per cent pot,” deadpans Tennessee-born guitarist Chris Bishop. “But it’s adrenaline equally, because we love the music.”

Crobot have embraced all shades of rock.

Co-founded by Yeagley and Bishop, Crobot began with their families’ classic rock records, before moving on to metal.

“I wanted to play fast,” Bishop explains. “I tried all the [Dimebag Darrell , who played guitar with Pantera and Damageplan] and Metallica stuff, and loved Killswitch and metalcore when that came out. As those trains sort of died, I ended up going back to the stuff I originally learned, bands like Clutch and Led Zeppelin.”

“There was Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple and Black Sabbath, of course,” says Yeagley, “but my dad was really into Dio too, so I grew up listening to that, and also to bands like Uriah Heep and Orange Goblin.”

They get hurt a lot.

At the age of 15, Yeagley – a sporty teenager – was hit by a truck. “That pretty much ended my sports life,” the vocalist says. “So I sat in my room and learned to play guitar. I have a titanium rod in my leg still. It’s my robot leg.”

Not that it hinders them today. Crobot gigs are ferocious affairs, with mammoth grooves, propulsive riffs and a lot of flying guitars. Bloodshed and hilarity ensue.

“I smashed my face open with my bass one time,” hyperactive bassist Jake Figueroa says, nodding, to peals of laughter. “Blood was just pouring down.”

“I smashed Brandon in the head with my headstock at one of our early gigs,” Bishop recalls. “It’s never on purpose though.”

  • High Hopes:

Sci-fi is important to them.

Yeagley has made their 2014 debut, Something Supernatural , into a comic, and for Welcome To Fat City he drew from the likes of Hunter S Thompson and Douglas Adams.

“When we were writing the song Welcome To Fat City I was digging into [Thompson’s] The Rum Diaries ,” Yeagley says, “and watching some Hunter S Thompson documentaries. His debauchery was just fascinating.

“And Dio is a huge one for lyrics. I try to keep some sort of mystic quality in the stories. And I’m a huge fan of Neil Fallon from Clutch. That guy can tell a story no matter how weird or wacky it is. And Josh Homme from Queens Of The Stone Age. He’s clever as fuck.”

They like to get funky.

For all their heavy Purple/Zeppelin/Sabbath influences, Crobot pack in a lot of funk, inspired by the likes of George Clinton and Funkadelic. Yeagley even has a picture of James Brown tattooed on his ‘good foot’.

“That’s what makes chicks dance,” Figueroa says of the funk. “It’s a big one for us.”

“Things are getting funkier,” reckons Yeagley (who often opens shows with “Let’s get funky y’all!”), “and sludgier and heavier at the same time.”

But metalheads still love ‘em.

“Even the real macho heavy guys,” says Bishop. “We can disguise the Funkadelic-y stuff through what we do, so they don’t realise how much they like it. From the beginning of this group, it was nothing but metal bands who we were put with. And they loved us! We’re very lucky to be able to cross over into different genres.”

They do a mean Total Eclipse Of The Heart .

“After a show in Hamburg we got together with the guys in [sludge metal band] Black Tusk and did a karaoke Total Eclipse Of The Heart ,” Figueroa laughs. “There were seven-part harmonies.”

“We were in this really nice karaoke bar. The girl before us was singing Britney Spears. We’d been on tour a long time…” Bishop adds.

Danzig have announced a block of tour dates across the United States this spring that will include one complete performance of the Glenn Danzig -led metal band's classic second album,  Danzig II: Lucifuge . Joining Danzig on all dates will be  Cradle of Filth and Crobot .

The Lucifuge  show is scheduled for May 7 at Toyota Arena in Ontario, Calif., just east of Los Angeles. Two days prior, Danzig will play in Reno, Nev., before they hit Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Louisiana, Missouri, Ohio and Texas over the ensuing days.

Lucifuge emerged as the sophomore Danzig effort in 1990. It followed the act's 1988 self-titled debut, which contains the single " Mother ." It preceded 1992's Danzig III: How the Gods Kill , 1993's Thrall-Demonsweatlive EP and 1994's Danzig 4 . Those releases feature the classic Danzig lineup, including guitarist John Christ, bassist Eerie Von and drummer Chuck Biscuits.

These days, Danzig include guitarist Tommy Victor (Prong), bassist Steve Zing (Samhain) and drummer Johnny Kelly (Type O Negative). In 2020, Danzig released the covers album,  Danzig Sings Elvis .

An auteur on top of being a musician, Glenn Danzig last year released his second motion picture, the "vampire spaghetti western" Death Rider in the House of Vampires . It followed his directorial debut, the 2019 horror anthology Verotika , based on his  Verotika comic series.

Crobot Concert Tickets

Get your hard rock on when you buy Crobot tickets at TicketSmarter. The band was founded in 2011 by Brandon Yeagley and Chris Bishop. While the lineup has changed over the years, the original formation of the band included brothers Jake and Paul Figueroa. A year after the band came together, they released their first effort in a debut EP, The Legend of the Spaceborne Killer . In 2013, after the release of their first EP, Crobot signed with Wind-up Records. Their first label-supported release was a self-titled EP, which dropped to positive reviews from music critics and fans alike. The first single from the EP, "Nowhere to Hide," reached number sixteen on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart.

Crobot tickets rose in demand after their successful release and a string of tour dates supporting groups like Chevelle and KYNG. With music compared to groups like Wolfmother and Queens of the Stone Age, the group quickly found their devoted fanbase. The group saw even more success in 2019 with the release of their third studio album Motherbrain. Motherbrain was produced by Corey Lowery of Seether and debuted to very positive reviews. The single "Low Life" from the album quickly became one of the group's all-time most popular songs. Throughout their three studio albums and a healthy history of performing across the nation, Crobot has undoubtedly planted the seeds for their continued success in the hard rock arena.

Crobot Ticket Prices

The price of Crobot tour tickets may vary due to several variables. Common factors that influence the cost of TicketSmarter seats are ticket demand, seating section options and city of performance.

How much are Crobot tickets?

Crobot Tour Dates & Concert Schedule

Crobot Seating Chart

Crobot performs at venues that range widely in their capacity. They may perform at The Black Sheep in Colorado Springs, CO, which holds under 500 guests, or the Fillmore Silver Spring in Silver Spring, MD, which holds about 2,000. One thing that tends to hold true for most Crobot shows, however, is that entry is often general admission and standing-room-only. Even at venues that contain balconies, such as the Fillmore Silver Spring, such elevated views are available on a first-come-first-served basis. As such, you may be advised to arrive early and claim your favorite viewing spot in the venue.

Crobot also may be seen performing for tens of thousands of guests at music festivals. Rock USA Music Festival in Oshkosh, WI, typically sees about 95,000 fans in attendance annually.
