The visa team of East Coast Tours carefully prepared the following requirements to apply for Singapore visa based on the information’s / instructions given from time to time by the Consulate General Of the Republic of Singapore in Chennai.

The standard visa processing fee charged is INR Rs. 1800 ;
The service fee charged is INR Rs. 650;
Applicants would be issued with a receipt upon payment of visa processing fee and service fee;
Applicants would be notified by the Authorized Visa Agents on the outcome of their visa application.

Documents Required:

Passport with at least 6 months validity from the date of arrival; and old passports (if any);
Duly-Filled Form 14A + 2 photographs (please indicate name behind photo) Cover Letter to indicate work designation, travel dates, travelling companions details, who is the sponsor for the trip and purpose of travel.
For applicant who is self-employed/ Doing Business should provide with Company registered certificate / GST certificate.
Latest 3-month Pay slip and bank statement required for employed.
Unemployed to provide latest 3-month bank statements in lieu of salary slips.
V39A Form if application is supported by a Singaporean company/contact, or Letter of Invitation if application is supported by a Singapore employment pass holder.

5. Hotel booking confirmation for duration of the entire stay. (If booked)

6. Salary Slip or bank statement for the past 3 months.

7. Residential proof in Southern India (If passport is issued from outside Southern region)

Business visa:

Additional supporting documents may be required on a case-by-case basis.

*The local contact must be either a Singapore Citizen (SC) or a Singapore Permanent Resident (PR) who is at least 21 years old with a CorpPass account. If you are applying for an entry visa for business visit, the local contact must be acting on behalf of the Singapore-registered business entity.

LOIs issued by your Embassy can also be accepted if you are unable to secure an LOI from a local contact to support your visa application for business visits.

Social visit:

1. Original Passport with minimum validity of six months from the date of return (Please provide old passports, if any)

8. Additional supporting documents may be required on a case-by-case basis.

*The local contact must be either a Singapore citizen (SC) or a Singapore permanent resident (PR) who is at least 21 years old with a SingPass account. If you are applying for an entry visa for business visit, the local contact must be acting on behalf of the Singapore-registered business entity.

LOIs issued by your Embassy can also be accepted if you are unable to secure an LOI from a local contact to support your visa application for social visits.

The Visa processing fee and Visa service fee for each application are 30 Singapore dollars* and INR 650 respectively. Visa processing fee and Visa service fee are paid on application. The processing fee and service fee are non-refundable, regardless of the outcome of the application or withdrawal of application after submission. Please do check with your respective Authorised Visa Agent on any other administrative / miscellaneous fees which may be levied.

*The Visa processing fee charged by the Authorised Visa Agents when converted to India rupees may vary based on the latest exchange rate on the day of application.

Processing Time

Your Visa application will be processed in 3 to 5 working days after your application has been submitted to an Authorised Visa Agent. This excludes the day of submission, weekends, and public holidays. Some applications may take longer to process.

If Spouse is Philippino then Spouse Name should be indicated in the Visa Applicants passport copy and report of Marriage issued by the Philippines Embassy or Philippines Govt.

Application Form: A Visa Application Form that is completely filled and signed by the Applicant. (Tip –Use only one pen to fill the form; overwriting /using whitener is not allowed.)

Cover Letter: Covering letter from Applicant addressed to ‘The Visa Officer, Consulate General of Singapore, Mumbai’ stating name of the applicant, designation, nationality, passport number, purpose of visit, period of stay with dates and saying that all the expenses including medical, boarding and lodging will be borne the Applicant. In case applicant is travelling with someone, their name, relationship with the applicant and passport details should be mentioned on the covering letter.

Financial Statement: Updated Bank Statement of the last 3 months for first time travellers. If applicant has traveled to Europe/USA/UK/Australia/New Zealand on a valid passport, then bank statement is not required.

Affidavit: Notarized Affidavit on Rs.100 Stamp Paper signed by both the Parents (If current photo & photo on passport doesn’t match each other).

Air Ticket: Confirmed Return Flight Tickets as well as internal tickets, if any.

Any two of these - Current Electricity bill, Mobile/Landline bill, Society Letter (Original), Agreement copy of Flat, Credit Card Statement (All document should be on Applicants Name)

Each visa application and its validity will be considered on its own merits. The minimum visa validity is 9 weeks.

Passport: Original Passport with one blank page and it should be valid for at least 6 months. In case of damaged passport, a declaration letter is needed stating that Riya Travel is not responsible if applicant faces any challenge at the time of travel. Handwritten passport will not be accepted. (Note - Attach all old passports, if any).

Application Form: - Form 14 A to be duly filled and signed by the applicant. One photograph should be pasted on the visa form and signed across.

Cover Letter: Letter from Applicant addressed to ‘The Visa Officer, Singapore High Commission, New Delhi’ stating name of the applicant, designation, passport number, purpose of visit, duration of stay in brief (Note - The covering letter on Letterhead if applicant is Self-Employed or on plain paper if employed. Applicant's contact number must be mentioned on the cover letter).

Occupation Proof: Personal Bank Statement of the last 3 months. Proof of business ownership or NOC from the company on its letter head along with a copy of employee ID card.

Honeymooners: Original or well-scanned copy of the Wedding Card is needed.

Invitation Letter: If visiting family, relative or friend, an invitation letter is needed from the invitee with their Singapore address, contact, FIN/NRIC number of invitee with relationship details. The letter should be addressed to ‘The Visa Officer, Singapore High Commission – New Delhi’. Also, other documents including PR card copy, Passport copy (bio data pages), relationship proof and NRIC card copy are needed.

Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Union Territories of Chandigarh, NCT of Delhi, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura

Passport: Original Passport that is valid for at least 6 months while entering Singapore. Hand-written Passports are not acceptable. Old Passports should be enclosed, if available. If old Passport is misplaced or damaged, same should be mentioned in the covering letter.

Application Form: Duly filled and signed Visa Application Form is needed. The form should not have any corrections made using whitener and over-writing words/statement is not allowed. In case of minors, both parents should sign the form.

Cover Letter: A covering letter addressed to the consulate containing complete address and contact number of applicant is needed. It should be signed by principal applicant.

Occupation Proof: For self employed applicants copy of business registration or GST copy is required.

Financial Statement: : 3 months computerized bank statement. In case of unemployed, married female travelling without husband, husband’s financial and employment documents should be submitted. For an unemployed, young person travelling without parents, father’s financial and employment documents should be submitted.

Only Confirmed tickets are needed. If not confirmed, do not provide. However, original ticket/s is mandatory for Transit Visa.

Only confirmed Accommodation proof is needed. If accommodation is not confirmed, do not provide.

Minor children travelling without parents, NOC from parents with their signature proof is needed.

If spouse’s name is not endorsed in passport, Marriage Certificate is needed.

Honeymooners don’t have marriage certificate or spouse’s name is not endorsed in passport, marriage confirmation letter from parents with signature proof and wedding invitation copy is needed.

For Transit Visa, original ticket copy is required.

Agent Authorisation Letter to be collected from the client, for sub-agent booking.

For incentive tours, letter from the company sponsoring the tour with the complete details of applicants and business proof is needed.

For group tours, letter from the tour operators with the complete details of applicants required.

Applicants residing in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Pondicherry and Andaman & Nicobar Islands are eligible to apply in Chennai Consulate. The applicants who are residing in the above locations, but their passport issued outside of the Jurisdiction need to submit a government authorised document for address proof.

It should also contain the name and designation of the authorised signatory with Company Seal. Form V39-A, Letter of Introduction (LOI) required from sponsor along with FIN (Foreign Identification Number)/ NRIC.

V39A form is required for business meetings only and person signing V39A should have NRIC number starting with:

a) UEN No./registration number must be mentioned in invitation letter & form V39A as well.

b) NRIC no. must be mentioned in invitation letter only Singapore national.

Cover Letter: A covering letter addressed to the consulate containing complete address and contact number of applicant is needed. The letter should be addressed to ‘The Visa Officer, Consulate of Singapore, Chennai’.

Invitation Letter: A letter from Indian Company explaining the purpose of visit. Letter from Indian company explaining the purpose of visit. An invitation from invitee company country in Singapore along with V39A- form from the invitee company with their passport copy and Singapore Visa copy, if applicable.

Please note, though most of the Singapore Visa Applications get approved in 2 working days, standard time declared by the consulate is 3 to 5 working days for an application. Consulate may not respond to us if we approach them to grant a Visa for an urgent case within this period, hence plan your travel accordingly. Clients or agents should not call the Consulate to know the status for any reason.

Photograph: Two matt-finished, coloured photographs with white background. It should be an 80% face close up and 35mm x 45mm in size. The photograph should not be older than 3 months. (Tip – Do not wear white-coloured clothes while clicking the photo).

Invitation Letter: Invitation letter from Invitee counterpart addressed to ‘The Visa Officer, Consulate General of Singapore, Mumbai’ stating name of the applicant, designation, nationality, passport number, purpose of visit, period of stay with dates and with the detail of expenses taken care by invitee, Passport copy of the invitee. If the invitee is not a citizen, a copy of valid residence permit is needed.

Photograph: Matt-finished, coloured photographs, 35mm x 45mm in size with white background (4 numbers) are needed. It should be an 80% face close up and should not be older than 3 months. The photo should not have been used in earlier visas.

Occupation Proof: Recent Employment ID card and salary slip of the last 3 month are needed for employees. While for businessmen, their visiting card and business registration proof is needed. In case of students, copy of their ID card is needed.

Financial Statement: Original bank statements for 6 months with good balance.

Invitation Letter: Invitation from relative with complete home address, their PR copy/work permit copy and passport copy is needed. Any supporting document to prove the relationship between the invitee and applicant will be required too.

For Transit Visa, original ticket/s copy is required.

In case of unemployed, married female travelling without husband, husband’s financial and employment documents should be submitted. For an unemployed, young person travelling without parents, father’s financial and employment documents should be submitted.
