The colossal Red Fort in Delhi was the home of the formidable Mughal emperors for around 200 years until the British took over it in 1857. The Red Fort still a historical and architectural wonder.History of Red FortThe construction of the Red Fort started in 1638 with the Emperor Shah Jahan deciding to leave Agra to create a new Mughal capital, Shahjahanabad, which is presently known as the Old Delhi. With architect Lahori’s work at Agra Fort, Shah Jahan was so impressed that he asked him to work on this fort as well.However, despite having elaborate and grand illustrations in the early years, the shine and glory of the Red Fort eventually faded when Shah Jahan fell ill and had to go back to Agra to recuperate. Since 1658, Shah Jahan’s son Aurangzeb, who was known to be power hungry, took the charge of the fort and kept his father imprisoned at Agra Fort for over 8 years until he died.The opulence of the Red Fort and the fortunes of the royal family started diminishing with Aurangzeb ruling the last phase of his reign which was bristled with uncertainty, unfaithfulness and treachery. Persian ruler Nadir Shah attacked the fort in 1739 and looted several valuables, including the Peacock Throne and the Kohinoor diamond. In 1752, the fort belonged to the Maratha kings who defeated the Mughals in a battle.The Marathas had to melt down the silver ceiling of the Diwan-e-Khaas hall in order to raise funds to save the capital from the attack of the Afghan invaders under the leadership of Ahamd Shah Durrani. In 1857, the Britishers made the Red Fort their army base and looted further valuables. In 1947, after gaining independence, the Red Fort was chosen as the main site for public celebration.

Had the opportunity to experience the Golden Triangle Tour with Taj Nature Walks Agra and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The 5 nights/6 days tour was all-inclusive, providing us with a stress-free and enjoyable trip. The tour started in Delhi, where we were greeted by our friendly and knowledgeable guide. We were taken to the iconic sites of Delhi, including the Red Fort, Qutub Minar, and Humayun's Tomb. Our guide provided us with interesting historical facts and stories about each place, making the tour even more enriching. Next, we headed to Agra, where we were blown away by the magnificent Taj Mahal. Our guide took us on a Taj Nature Walk, which was a unique experience. We were able to explore the beautiful gardens and learn about the flora and fauna surrounding the Taj Mahal. It was a peaceful and serene experience, away from the crowds of tourists. The tour also included a visit to the Agra Fort, which was just as stunning as the Taj Mahal. Our guide again provided us with a detailed history of the fort, making it a fascinating visit. One of the highlights of the tour was the visit to the abandoned city of Fatehpur Sikri. It was like stepping back in time and our guide's storytelling skills made it come to life. We also got to try some delicious local cuisine in a nearby village, which was a nice break from the busy cities. The last leg of the tour took us to Jaipur, where we visited the majestic Amber Fort and the City Palace. Our guide showed us the hidden gems of the city, taking us to local markets and giving us a taste of the vibrant culture of Jaipur. Throughout the tour, we were provided with comfortable accommodations, delicious meals, and hassle-free transportation. The best part was not having to worry about any additional costs, as the tour was all-inclusive. Overall, the Golden Triangle Tour with Taj Nature Walks Agra was an amazing experience that I would highly recommend to anyone. 4. Jim Corbett National Park

Jim Corbett is the oldest national park in the foothills of the Himalayas in Uttarakhand. Home to the endangered Bengal tiger, it is part of the Corbett Tiger Reserve. Housing multiple resorts on the riverside, the national park is famous for wildlife safaris, during which you can witness 650 species of rare migratory birds. Public Notice: Moratorium Message

Dated: march 31, 2020.

Dear Customers,

Today, the entire world is facing a crisis in the form of Covid-19, and it is during these times that we all need to come together to support each other and to act responsibly.

In light of the recent nationwide lockdown, we at Hero FinCorp are providing a three months moratorium to our loan customers as per eligibility and guidelines issued by RBI. This moratorium facility is only applicable for EMIs due between March 01, 2020 and August 31, 2020. EMIs / over dues prior to March 01, 2020 are not eligible for moratorium.

Please note, if you opt for the moratorium, interest will continue to accrue for the duration of the moratorium period at the currently running interest rate on your loan. This additional interest will be collected from you by extending the original tenor of your loan. We will also share an updated loan repayment schedule which would include all relevant details.

We urge customers to use this option only if absolutely necessary. This facility has been especially designed for those customers whose cash flows have been severely affected and they do not have sufficient savings or other income sources which they could use for paying their EMIs. The downsides of opting for the moratorium include:

• 1. Higher interest costs
• 2. Longer loan tenor
• 3. You pay more overall

If you can, then you must continue to pay EMIs as per your existing Repayment Schedule. This would be a far superior option in the long run as it offers several benefits, it is easier, simpler, and cheaper to do, so choose wisely!

To apply for moratorium, please send us a request from your Registered Email Address, along with your Loan Account Number and Registered Mobile Number. Post which we shall initiate the moratorium for unpaid EMI of March 2020 (if any), and for EMI of April and May 2020.

IRCTC launches seven-day tour package to Sri Lanka

Bringing cheer to those who are planning a trip to Sri Lanka, the Indian Railway Catering Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has rolled out a week-long travel package from July 14 to the teardrop-shaped island. The tour will be a golden opportunity to walk through the trails of the ancient epic Ramayana and explore other tourist spots in Sri Lanka. The package will take the tourists from Colombo to the snow-capped Nuwara Eliya mountains. The flight from Kochi, which departs at 10.20 am, will reach Sri Lanka at 11.30 am on July 14. The tourists will first visit the Manavari Munneswaram Temple, which is on the way to Dambulla, where they will stay for the night. The second day kicks off with a tour of the Sigiriya Fort and the Dambulla Cave Temple. Later, the travellers can offer prayers at the Thiru Koneswaram Temple and the Sree Lakshmi Narayana Perumal Temple.

The visitors can explore Kandy on the third day. First, they will be taken to the Royal Botanical Gardens and Peradeniya. The itinerary includes a visit to the Kandy cultural exhibition and the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. The fourth day of the package starts by offering prayers at the Bahiravakanda Buddha Statue. The afternoon is packed with visits to the Ramboda Hanuman Temple and the tea factory in Nuwara Eliya. The fifth day is dotted with trips to Gayatri Peedam, Sita Amman Temple, Gregory Lake and the Divurumpola Temple. After visiting the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, the tourists will travel to the capital city of Colombo where they will visit the Panchamukha Anjaneya Temple and the Kelaniya Buddha Temple. As part of the Colombo city tour, the tourist will get an opportunity to see the Clock Tower Light House, Galle Face, Colombo Harbour, Beira Lake, Independence Square, National Museum and Nelum Pokuna Theatre and Town Hall. The next day the tourists will board the flight to Kochi.

During the seven-day tour, the travellers can visit all the tourist spots and the spiritual and pilgrimage centers associated with the ancient Indian epic Ramayana. The package includes round-trip air tickets, food, three-star accommodation, AC vehicles, entry tickets, visa expenses, an English-speaking tour guide, travel insurance and tax.
