Tom Cruise has touched down in Sydney ahead of the highly anticipated premiere of his new movie, Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One.

The Hollywood superstar arrived in the Harbour City by private jet on Saturday morning, two days before the blockbuster film premiere at Darling Harbour’s International Convention Centre (ICC) on Monday night.

The 60-year-old will walk the red carpet at the event, accompanied by director Christopher McQuarrie and co-stars Simon Pegg, Hayley Atwell and Pom Klementieff.

Upon disembarking from a private jet in Sydney this morning, Cruise – wearing a dark coat, pants and New York Yankees cap – was taken straight to his penthouse suite at the Park Hyatt Hotel in the city.

The five-star hotel is positioned on the banks of the gorgeous harbour, overlooking the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House, which Cruise couldn’t help but admire.

In the movie, the actor once again plays the role of highly skilled field agent Ethan Hunt in the action-adventure – this time, Hunt and the IMF team must track down a dangerous new weapon that threatens all of humanity.

Although it is the seventh instalment in the franchise, Cruise – who famously does all of his stunts in his action films – believes it can draw in both returning and new audiences.

“[It has] submarines, it has the desert, it has Rome, beautiful locations in Abu Dhabi, Norway, a train that we built, action on the train, and a very engrossing story with a really beautiful cast, an amazing, very charismatic cast,” he told Collider recently.

“I think when you look at this movie, it really defines what I think about cinema and why because you look at this kind of cast, you look at a brilliant ensemble cast, and the kind of story is very engrossing.”

Cruise and the cast are fresh from their visit to South Korea, where they promoted the film to thousands of fans in Seoul.

He also happily took a backseat to his female co-stars – Atwell, Klementieff and Vanessa Kirby – when he played photographer and allowed them their moment to shine.

“This guy loves to give his leading ladies the spotlight,” Atwell captioned a video of the moment she shared on Instagram.

Tom Cruise celebrated his birthday in style.

The Hollywood star turned 61 on Monday and was greeted with well wishes from fans at the Australian premiere of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One .

While he spent most of the day on the red carpet where he took selfies and signed autographs for fans, he was surprised by his co-stars inside the ICC Sydney theatre.

Simon Pegg rolled out a birthday cake for the actor – a large black square with the film’s title and a falling motorcycle in fondant. They were joined by co-stars Hayley Atwell, Pom Klementieff, Rebecca Ferguson and Vanessa Kirby, as well as director Christopher McQuarrie.

The actor shared photographs of the night on Instagram, writing: "It was great to spend my birthday with fans today. Thanks for coming out to the premiere!"

Last week, the cast and crew were at Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi for the Middle East premiere of the anticipated action film.

The venue was decked out with branding from the film, and there was also a band performing a Middle Eastern variation of the famous theme song ahead of the screening. A Fiat 500, which features heavily in the film, was also displayed near the red carpet.

Cruise told The National that he looks forward to his visits to Abu Dhabi.

He said that filming in the UAE capital was always memorable, particularly for its photogenic locations and the professionalism of the local crew.

“It’s great to be back,” he said. “The people are amazing. I’m very grateful for the opportunity to come film here. Now I have so many friends [here]. Also, the film crew that we had here, that we worked together with, it was a wonderful experience.”

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is out in UAE cinemas on July 9, three days before its US and global release on July 12

Leisure Travel Vans Wonder RTB feature #1: Rear Twin Beds

Rear Twin Bed is what RTB stands for. After years of converting a sofa into a bed and, most recently, setting up and taking down a Murphy bed on our previous LTV Unity FX model, the idea of having two beds in the rear of our unit all made up and ready was something we both really wanted. Those twins, by the way, can easily be pushed together into a Queen, as seen in the video .

Leisure Travel Vans Wonder RTB feature #2 – The “Garage”

We like small motorhomes because they are small. Meaning maneuverable. But all of our previous RVs just did not have enough storage space to bring along all the things we wanted. I'm not talking about a crazy amount of stuff. I'm talking a couple of gravity-style lounge chairs.  Maybe some inflatable kayaks. Golf clubs. Cross country skis and poles.

Our new Leisure Travel Vans Wonder RTB model has a huge pass-through storage area in the rear that we call “the garage.” It can hold up to 500 pounds of cargo! I can even get a couple of bicycles in there.  (The RTB model is the only LTV Wonder model that has the garage.)

Leisure Travel Vans Wonder RTB feature #3 – The Ford Transit AWD chassis

I wrote a detailed blog post that you can read about why we chose Ford Transit chassis versus the Mercedes Benz Sprinter chassis that our other RVs were built on. You can read that HERE . But let me just say that as an RV journalist, I feel I need to know and experience the Ford Transit as an RV because it is becoming so popular in the industry.

Add to that All Wheel Drive, which assures great traction on snow and ice (we love winter camping) and navigation over backcountry two-tracks (we love boondocking), and you can see why we jumped at the chance to get a Leisure Travel Vans Wonder with AWD.

Leisure Travel Vans Wonder RTB feature #4 – A standup dry shower

Look at the video and you'll see how the self-contained, standup dry shower in our Leisure Travel Vans Wonder can accommodate someone 6'2″.  It even has a sunroof to let in lots of natural light. The RV comes with the Truma Aqua Go instant hot water heater which means water is always hot and you don't waste by having to leave it running to warm up.

Turn it on and it's instantly warm, and because the shower is totally separate from the rest of the RV, there's nothing that needs to be toweled off and dried. Except you, of course. The “wet” showers on the Class B RVs we used to have always required more time to dry the bathroom than it took to shower.

Leisure Travel Vans Wonder RTB feature #5 – Separate areas for sleeping, working, eating and lounging

The door on the shower has a double function. It can be used to seal the bedroom area at the rear of the coach from the front galley and lounge area. I'm an early riser. I get up about 5:30 AM. Jennifer (and Bo) like to sleep till around 7.

I can block off the back ( check the video to see how that works) and make my morning coffee, read, work, and putz around the front of the RV without disturbing them.

The show was always intended to have a three-season arc. "We are writing it like that," Brett Goldstein, who plays Roy Kent, told Sunday Times of season three being the last. "It was planned as three. Spoiler alert: Everyone dies," he joked.

"I think we've always meant it to be three seasons," Brendan Hunt, who plays Coach Beard, told EW . "I think it would be pretty cool if, in the face of how much everyone likes this show, that we stick to our guns and really just do three seasons. But even as committed to that idea as Jason may have been, none of us were prepared to the degree to which people love this show. Usually shows don't have that kind of effect if they say the word 'f---' so many times. Actor Tom Cruise will star in a “gnarly” rated R movie from director Christopher McQuarrie .

Cruise and McQuarrie recently released their new spy action movie Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One in theaters. This marks another of a history of collaborations between the actor and the filmmaker. McQuarrie previously directed Cruise in Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, Mission: Impossible – Fallout, and Jack Reacher. He also co-wrote the scripts for Valkyrie, Edge of Tomorrow, The Mummy, and Top Gun: Maverick.

In 2020, McQuarrie voiced his intention to make a darker, grittier movie with Cruise that would be rated R, as opposed to their previous PG-13 films. “It’s a very un-Tom character, and we have plans for an even more un-Tom character that we’ve been talking about, which I’m hopeful about in the future,” said McQuarrie.

McQuarrie recently shared an update on the project. “There’s a movie that Cruise and I are talking about doing next or in some probable next, that Erik [Jendresen, writer] and I developed together – what has been referred to on the internet as ‘The Gnarly Movie’,” he said. “It’s that movie that they’re all asking for, and that we want to do.” They will begin work on the movie after finishing Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two.

This would be a departure for Cruise, who has spent the better part of the past decade appearing in PG-13 blockbusters. His only R-rated movie of the 2010s was American Made. He played darker, grittier roles earlier in his career in movies like Collateral, Magnolia, and Eyes Wide Shut. It may be interesting to see Cruise in a role where he can shed his famous movie star persona.

Los Angeles: Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise will be seen headlining Alejandro G. Inarritu's new film.

Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment are in talks to acquire the package, which marks Inarritu's first English-language film since the Leonardo DiCaprio starrer The Revenant nearly a decade ago, The Hollywood Reporter reported.

Inarritu, Sabina Berman, Alexander Dinelaris and Nicolas Giacobone have penned down the film's script. More details regarding the project have been kept under wraps.

The project comes after Cruise inked a splashy (but not exclusive) deal with Warner Bros. last month, leading to rampant speculation over what the pact would yield. The feature also fits the bill of rumours that Cruise is eager to work with auteurs after spending much of the past decade on franchise projects, including the Mission: Impossible films and Top Gun: Maverick, all at Paramount.

Inarritu last directed the Spanish-language Netflix drama Bardo. Before this, the director was in theatres with The Revenant, which earned over USD 500 million at the global box office and landed him the best director Oscar. This followed his 2015 best picture, director and original wins for Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance).

Cruise has been nominated twice for best actor, in Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1990) and Cameron Crowe's Jerry Maguire (1997), and once for supporting actor in Paul Thomas Anderson's Magnolia (2000). Inarritu directed DiCaprio to Oscar gold in The Revenant and helped Michael Keaton land a best actor nom for Birdman. The pairing of Cruise and the filmmaker is sure to raise the notion that the actor is hoping for a prestige play.

The collaboration between Cruise and Inarritu's is bound to create buzz among moviegoers across the globe, especially considering the duo's past hit projects.

While several of her co-stars were present to pay tribute to the Australian actor, it was another actor, her ex-husband Tom Cruise , who got a veiled shoutout in her acceptance speech, as per The Hollywood Reporter . What Nicole said

While accepting her award, in a part of her speech, Nicole thanked her co-stars and talked about learning from them. “Some of them you may never meet again and some of them you do meet again. Some of them you have incredible laughter and jokes with and you cry with; some of them you fall in love with, some of them you marry,” she said.

Nicole and Tom were married for 11 years, from 1990 till 2001. They met in 1989 on the sets of Days of Thunder. They adopted a son and a daughter during their marriage. She later clarified that she had a miscarriage at the end of their marriage. In an interview to Ladies' Home Journal, Nicole opened up on her marriage with Tom. “He was huge; still is. To me, he was just Tom, but to everybody else, he is huge. But he was lovely to me and I loved him. I still love him,” she had said.

Nicole is now married to country singer Keith Urban . She teared up when Keith said she showed him “what love in action really looks like” when his substance abuse problems emerged almost immediately after they wed in 2006.

“Four months into our marriage, I’m in rehab for three months,” Urban said, looking at Kidman where she sat on a dais with their two daughters and other family. “Nic pushed through every negative voice, I’m sure even some of her own, and she chose love. And here we are 18 years later," he added.

Nicole said the night was the first time she allowed their teenage daughters to join her on a red carpet.

Nicole will be next seen in the movies A Family Affair, Holland, Michigan, and Babygirl, along with the shows, The Perfect Couple and The Last Anniversary.

The camera is used for pedestrian detection for emergency braking and road sign recognition, etc. ICC and forward emergency braking utilize the front mounted radar. The side radars are used for cross traffic alert and blind spot monitoring. The sonars are used for parking and rear automatic braking.  

So if someone painted a speed limit sign to read 85 instead of 65, would the camera display that sign, or do you think it would show a blank, white icon?  

This vehicle really requires you to study the manual to understand how everything operates, and how to tune it to your preference, IMO...  

Uhh.. why not ask "the salesman if it could be disabled, and he said yes."  

Uhh... why bother posting a response if you're just gonna be a snide dick about it instead of being helpful?  

I come from the software development field, I can well understand why software is the way it is... It's complex, with many people involved over an extended period of time... Just a guess on my part, but I think they want your choice of non-ICC to be a very intentional act, not something that can be done inadvertently or without intention. The reason being once you're accustomed to ICC, not having it could cause you to rear-end somebody if non-ICC was activated without intention... I believe they only added this feature to '19 and on. Probably due to complaints from earlier 3rd gens owners when some radar units were defective and thus disabled any cruise control until the expensive radar unit replaced either under warranty or at the owner's expense...
