Busted is back, ITV News' Faye Barker reports

Boyband Busted has announced a comeback tour to celebrate their 20th anniversary.

The British trio, comprised of Masked Singer winner Charlie Simpson and bandmates James Bourne and Matt Willis, have announced 15 tour dates across the UK to mark their 20th anniversary.

The Year 3000 band also announced a new single called Loser Kid 2.0 featuring Simple Plan which will be released in April.

American pop band Hanson, best known for their 1997 hit MMMBop, will join the trio on tour.

In a video posted to Instagram on Thursday morning, Bourne said: "A decade is a long time. Two decades is an even longer time."

The clip showed footage from the band's past music videos including Air Hostess, You Said No, and What I Go to School For.

"We were writing songs that made us laugh and the songs that made us laugh made other people laugh and feel good," Bourne said.

He added that they have that "special feeling - like it's Busted time".

Simpson, who later went on to front rock band Fightstar, said Busted "really broke the mould" when they started making music in 2000.

"It's about celebrating what Busted meant to the fans and it's about us being able to go out and share that experience with them," Simpson said.

Event Details

Busted have announced that they will be celebrating their 20 th anniversary with an arena tour which is heading to The O2 on 10, 27 September and 10 October 2023. The band will be joined by special guests Hanson and The Tyne.

Impossible though it may seem, it’s been twenty years since Busted bounced into the charts with the irrepressible pop-punk energy of their debut single ‘What I Go To School For’ . It kickstarted a succession of hits for the trio, including the #1 smashes ‘Crashed The Wedding’, ‘Who’s David’ , ‘Thunderbirds Are Go’, ‘You Said No’ and the Top 3 singles ‘Year 3000’ , ‘Air Hostess’ and ‘Sleeping WIth The Light On’. Now Busted celebrate their 20th anniversary by announcing details of a major UK arena tour, alongside a series of new versions of fifteen of their classic hits to be released in the build-up, with some very special guests

The tour will see the original much-loved trio - James Bourne, Charlie Simpson and Matt Willis - play their hits and fan-favourites this September. The first track to launch the 20 th anniversary celebrations will be a new version of Busted’s song ‘Loser Kid’ featuring Simple Plan, which will be released on 14 April. Loser Kid featured as the final track on their self-titled debut album and was co-written by Bourne, Simpson and Willis.

Busted’s many successes spread far beyond the singles charts. Three of their four studio albums also peaked at #2, with 4.5 million sales leading to eight Platinum certifications as well as a total of 25 weeks in the Top 10 and two 5x Platinum selling albums. They have won two BRIT Awards - Best Pop Act and Best British Breakthrough - while multiple sold-out arena tours have seen them sell more than 2 million tickets.

Busted’s 20th anniversary tour follows Charlie Simpson’s recent triumph as the winner of 2023’s ’The Masked Singer’, adding to his other projects which have included four solo albums and four albums with the rock band Fightstar. James Bourne is a renowned songwriter, with credits including McFly, The Jonas Brothers, 5 Seconds of Summer and The Vamps, as well as his band Son of Dork and two recent solo albums ‘Safe Journey Home’ (2020) and ‘Sugar Beach’ (2022). After releasing his debut solo album, Matt Willis famously won ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’ leading to a successful television career as well as acting roles which have included the recent West End hit ‘2:22 A Ghost Story’.

Noughties pop-punk boyband Busted has announced a UK-wide reunion tour, set to take place later this year, 18 years after they confirmed their split in an emotional press conference.

In the five years they were together between 2000 and 2005, the three-man band – Charlie Simpson , James Bourne and Matt Willis, all now 39 – had four UK number-one singles, won two Brit awards and sold more than 5 million records.

The band reformed for a brief stint in 2013, fusing with childhood friends and fellow pop boyband McFly to form spin-off band McBusted, releasing an album and performing a few comeback tours and one-off gigs.

Heralded as the UK’s answer to Blink-182, Busted became one of the most iconic pop-rock bands of the noughties. Their debut self-titled album released in 2002 featured some of their biggest hits “Year 3000”, “You Said No” and their debut single “What I Go To School For”. Going onto win several accolades including Favourite Newcomer at the National Music Awards and a few BRIT awards saw Busted reach new heights as they released their follow-up album “A Present For Everyone” which went triple platinum in the UK. Their successes continued growing with every single released reaching the top 3 in the UK charts accumulating a number of eight- seriously impressive! With their teenage appeal and emulating a rebellious nature, it’s no wonder that they attracted thousands of adoring fans to their live performances. Opening with classics like “Air Hostess” sees the trio of Matt Willis, Charlie Simpson and James Bourne air jumping as they run across the stage, surrounded by a chorus of screams. Their energy is infectious as the crowd jump up and down, waving their arms in the air to “What I Go To School For” singing along word for word. Their tongue-in-cheek lyrics feed into their banter with the crowd, mirrored by some of the banners that audience wave emphatically. “Year 3000” sends the crowd wild, as the bright lights dart across the stage. “Crashed The Wedding” sees energy levels soar through the roof while ballads like “Sleeping With The Light On” slowing down them temple equally sees the biggest reaction, as the audience sway their arms in the air with the camera lights in the air. If you came to be entertained, Busted will definitely make sure you have a good time.

Amazing performance. Lots of energy and love from Charlie, Matt and James. The new tracks they played from the currently unreleased new album were out of this world! I loved every second of it, I was part of the Pigsty Which was ablsolutly isane to see all those people in the crowd and have a different perspective of a gig was a once in a lifetime opportunity. Charlie looks especially happy to be back he was extremely happy and energetic throughout. The lads gave great vocals and played well all night. Very much enjoyed it. Cant wait to see them next time!

After Busted split up I was devastated and when u heard they were having a reunion tour I just knew I had to go! After gettin to see McBusted which had James and Matt this was even better! Play all of the classic songs and I never sat down once. Support acts were great and was an amazing atmosphere. Such funny, talented and down to earth lads. Music sounds even better live. All busted fans must see them!

I've been waiting to see them live for the best part of 18 years and the day before my 21st I finally got to see them.

Best show of my life and I've been to well over 150 gigs in the past 2 years.

Professor Green didn't suit the lineup at all and didn't gain much of a crowd.

Scouting For Girls however were a perfect opening act. Massive crowd with everyone singing along. Brilliant.

Amazing concert, nice to hear the old and new song. Duration was a little short. The band played with the audience to entertain us. Stage was fine, lights were good. I missed the opportunity to shake hands and ask for autographs of the band (there were no VIP tickets)

Iron Maiden announce UK and Europe tour dates for 2025

Iron Maiden will return to the UK and Europe in summer 2025 for a monster 50-year celebration tour

Iron Maiden announce UK and Europe tour dates for 2025

Celebrating 50 years as a band in 2025, Iron Maiden have revealed details of a mammoth tour for next year, focusing entirely on their first nine albums.

Dubbed the Run For Your Lives tour, the heavy metal icons will hit the UK and Europe throughout summer next year, playing some absolutely massive venues – including the London Stadium, home of Steve Harris' beloved West Ham.

“My love of football and my support of West Ham is no secret, and I know many of our fans around the world have shared that with me too. So we’re all very excited to be playing at the London Stadium as part of the Run For Your Lives tour," says Steve. "And of course, it’s not just London – the whole UK tour is going to be a real celebration for all of us. To be able to bring this very special show to all our fans across the UK and Ireland next year is going to be a great way to mark 50 years of Iron Maiden. We can’t wait to see you all there!”

“Next year is a very special one for Iron Maiden and we’re going to be giving our fans a once-in-a-lifetime live experience," adds Bruce Dickinson. This is a tour that’s gonna put a smile on your face and a cheer in your throat. If you’ve seen us before, then get ready to take that experience to a whole new level. If you’ve never seen us before, then what the hell have you been waiting for? Now’s your chance to find out what you’ve been missing! Iron Maiden’s definitely gonna get ya!”

“50 years of Maiden and I have seen 46 of them!" says manager Rod Smallwood. With well over 100 million albums sold and almost 2500 shows in 64 countries and counting, to countless millions of fans, we are all still loving every second and consider every tour a new challenge to bring something different and exciting to our fans. And for this very special one we’ re pulling out all the stops!

"We will cover classics and fan favourites from the first nine albums, from Iron Maiden to Fear Of The Dark, many of which we haven’t played in years and many we will likely never play again in the future. We have already been hard at work for months putting together an even more spectacular and elaborate new show which will bring the songs to life more than we have ever been able to do before. This is going to be a huge couple of years for Iron Maiden, and Eddie of course, and we are very excited about what we have up our sleeves for you fans throughout the whole of our 50th year. I promise you are all going to be very happy indeed!”

The band will be joined on tour by a rotating cast of Halestorm , Avatar and The Raven Age , depending on the city.

Tickets go on sale next week. Catch Iron Maiden at one of the dates below.

busted tour uk dates

British heavy metal band Iron Maiden on Thursday revealed plans for a world tour — including London and other UK cities — in 2025 and 2026 to commemorate their 50th anniversary.

The Run For Your Lives tour will only feature songs from their first nine studio albums between 1980 and 1992.

This period includes the classic Run To The Hills, The Trooper, Can I Play With Madness and Bring Your Daughter... To The Slaughter.

Iron Maiden have revealed only the UK and European dates for the tour, involving 27 stadiums between May and August 2025. Further dates for the rest of 2025 and 2026 are expected to include North America and other continents.

The band will play in UK cities including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, and Belfast.

The tour will begin in Budapest and Prague in May 2025 and include other European capitals such as Paris and Berlin.

American rockers Halestorm will be special guests for the first half of the tour, including the London and Dublin outdoor shows but not the UK arenas. Sweden’s Avatar will be the support act for the second half of the tour.

The British metal band, The Raven Age, will open all UK and Ireland shows.

Lead singer Bruce Dickinson said: “ Next year is a very special one for Iron Maiden and we're going to be giving our fans a once-in-a-lifetime live experience. This is a tour that's gonna put a smile on your face and a cheer in your throat.

“If you've seen us before, then get ready to take that experience to a whole new level. If you've never seen us before, then what the hell have you been waiting for? Now's your chance to find out what you've been missing! Iron Maiden’s definitely gonna get ya!”

Iron Maiden were formed in 1975 and are known for their complex guitar work, powerful vocals, and theatrical live performances. With renowned albums including The Number of the Beast and Powerslave, they have become one of the most influential bands in heavy metal history.

The band are performing in countries such as Australia and the US as part of their The Future Past tour between September and December 2024.

Kylie Minogue reveals major world tour news - her biggest in more than a decade

"There will be a whole lot of Padaming!" Kylie Minogue has promised, with the announcement of her biggest tour in years. The star will start the gigs in her home country, Australia, before bringing the show to venues across the UK later in 2025.

Kylie Minogue has announced her biggest tour in more than a decade - as well as a new album.

The pop star's Tension tour will open in her home country, Australia, before heading to Asia and reaching the UK in May 2025. More countries and dates in Europe and North and South America are set to be announced over the coming weeks.

It comes after huge success last year with her viral sensation hit Padam Padam and album Tension, as well as a Las Vegas residency and a big show at Hyde Park in London earlier in the summer.

"I am beyond excited to announce the Tension tour 2025," Minogue said in a statement sent to Sky News. "I can't wait to share beautiful and wild moments with fans all over the world, celebrating the Tension era and more!

"It's been an exhilarating ride so far and now, get ready for your close up because I will be calling Lights, Camera, Action... and there will be a whole lot of Padaming!"

The UK dates include shows in Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield, Nottingham and Birmingham, and two at London's O2 Arena.

Minogue first teased the news as she announced her new album, Tension II, earlier today - revealing the sequel will be released in October, with the lead single, Lights Camera Action coming on 27 September.

"But wait! There's more..." she added.

The tour announcement followed this afternoon. It will be Minogue's first since her Golden shows in 2018 and 2019 and her biggest since the Aphrodite: Les Folies tour in 2011, which followed the Aphrodite album and hits including All The Lovers and Get Outta My Way.

The new album includes the dance hit Edge of Saturday Night with The Blessed Madonna, as well as collaborations with Orville Peck, Bebe Rexha and Tove Lo, and Sia.

"The Tension era has been so special to me," the star said. "I can't possibly let it be over just yet!"

Minogue, who rose to fame on Australian soap Neighbours in the 1980s before becoming a pop mega star, has had hits throughout the decades ever since - from I Should Be So Lucky, Hand On Your Heart and Better The Devil You Know, to Confide In Me, Spinning Around and Can't Get You Out Of My Head.

Padam Padam, released in 2023, marked another reinvention with a move into electronic dance, and became a viral hit.

Earlier this year, she was named a global icon at the Brit Awards, and won the Grammy for best pop dance recording for the single.
