Award-winning musicals opening on tour in 2024

Take a look at what’s going to be opening in UK locations in 2024!

threee 1

There are a plethora of celebrated musicals opening up on tour over the next year or so, and we thought it might be useful to assemble a list of award-winning gems for you right here on WhatsOnStage. For the purpose of this article, we’ve selected titles or performers that have previously triumphed at either the Tony, Olivier or WOS Awards.

How many will you be attending in your hometown?

Blood Brothers

Willy Russell’s seminal tale of two Liverpudlian twins separated at birth won the Olivier Award for Best New Musical back in 1983 and it features such classics as “Tell Me It’s Not True” and “Marilyn Monroe”. Opening on new tour on 16 January

Bonnie and Clyde

MicrosoftTeams image 6 2.jpg

Following two spells in the West End and a WhatsOnStage Award win, this musical, based on the story of two outlaws who become infamous celebs, is ready to “Raise a Little Hell” on tour. Casting has now been revealed – with a variety of familiar and new faces involved. On tour from 22 February

Come From Away

Winner of Best New Musical at both the Oliviers (2019) and WhatsOnStage Awards (2020), Come From Away has warmed the hearts of countless audiences at the Phoenix Theatre and is gearing up to launch its first-ever UK and Ireland tour at Leicester’s Curve next year. Celebrating the generosity of spirit of the people of Gander, who took in stranded travellers from across the globe during the aftermath of 9/11, the musical is a must-see for 2024. On tour from 1 March

Dear Evan Hansen

DHE Tour 2

It already feels like for forever since we waved goodbye to the award-winning Dear Evan Hansen  in the West End, but it hasn’t disappeared for long – the show is already being remounted in a brand-new production directed by Nottingham Playhouse’s Adam Penford. Seeing a UK creative team have their own take on the material is a very exciting prospect, and the show is embarking on a major tour into 2025. On tour from 9 September

Little Shop of Horrors

lil shop 2

Another fan fave back in a brand-new production, the sci-fi, comedy, horror musical from the minds of Alan Menken and Howard Ashman will be touring a variety of venues across the spring. Lotte Wakeham directs, and if you want to know who’s going to star, maybe check in with WhatsOnStage soon…   On tour from 1 March

& Juliet

data 1 2

It was larger than life when it was in the West End, and we expect no less from the WhatsOnStage and Olivier Award-winning jukebox show once it hits the open road – replete with some of the best musical bangers of the last 30 years. Telling a very revised take on  Romeo and Juliet,  expect some big vocal performances and exciting casting… from what we’ve heard so far.  On tour from 8 July

Grease thumbnail.jpg

After two very successful West End seasons,  Grease  is very much the word for 2024! The WhatsOnStage Award-winning production returns for a new tour, so expect some major choreography and big ballad numbers. There’s a reason this one has stood the test of time!  On tour from 12 April

The Book of Mormon cast

Hello… again! After a triumphant tour a few years back,  The Book of Mormon  is back on the road with its broad assortment of shocks, spooky scares and side-splitting comedy. The show basically won every award going, and continues to see audiences turn out in their droves for the tale of two missionaries in over their heads.  On tour from 9 September

a chorus lined.jpg

Curve Leicester’s major revival of the nine-time Tony Award-winning musical was a breath of fresh air when it was seen in late 2021, and it’s very exciting to see the show back in a new production touring across the nation later this year. With a spell back at Curve and a stint at Sadler’s Wells in London, we can definitely see this being a singularly sensational hot ticket for the coming year.  On tour from 28 June

Hairspray Brenda Edwards Mark Senior.jpg 2

Stage and screen legend Brenda Edwards, who has appeared in the show on a number of occasions, will be in the director’s chair this summer for a new touring production of Hairspray.  Featuring some of the best written musical numbers in recent canon, this one is a certified hit! On tour from 16 July

Goodnight... and what a night it was

We're all catching our collective breath after an incredible performance from Taylor Swift at Murrayfield Stadium.

Thanks for following it with us.

The editors of this live page were Paul McLaren and Craig Hutchison. The writers were Mark Savage, Ashleigh Keenan-Bryce, Megan Bonar, James Delaney, Jonathan Geddes and Morven McKinnon.

Goodnight from us all.

Swift is a force of nature

uk musicals on tour

Mark Savage

BBC Music correspondent reporting from Murrayfield

And that’s a wrap.

I’ve seen the Eras tour a lot of times, via livestreams, TikToks and in the cinema. But nothing can prepare you for the live experience.

Taylor is a force of nature.

Three-and-a-half hours in the spotlight, yet she makes it seem like she’s singing to every individual audience member.

So many little moments were tweaked to make the show specific to Edinburgh - which, she said, inspired the lush, arable soundscapes of her Folklore album.

The fans around me were rapt, from young children to grandads in sparkly jackets.

And on the other side of the stadium, a proposal.

It’s amazing to think Taylor will have to perform this 210-minute feat of endurance again tomorrow and Sunday. If you can scrounge a ticket, don’t miss it.

Karma seals the deal

This is it: The last song of the night.

Karma is a weird and funny entry in Swift’s catalogue – an ode to her former enemies, as she watches their downfall with a cat purring on her lap, thus making her the pop equivalent of Ernst Blofeld.

But there’s a valedictory air to the song that makes it a fitting concert closer. The lesson, Taylor appears to be saying, is that good things come to those who wait; and bad deeds will catch up with us.(She says it without the clichés, though).

And just as Miss Americana set out the opening thesis of the show, Karma is a celebration of the star's longevity.

“Ask me what I learned from all those years / Ask me what I earned from all those tears.

“ Ask me why so many fade, but I'm still here / I'm still here, I'm still here."

Get ready for the confetti cannons!

Taylor: One more song Edinburgh, is that alright?

taylor swift

It's time for the final song of the night, it's time for Karma.

Ahead of the song, Swift addresses the crowd once more: “Edinburgh you have given us everything you could possibly have given us tonight.

"I would like to ask for one more song of your time. Is that alright?”

Drawing to a close

For Swifties, it's been a dream of a day of making new friendships and singing at the top of their voices but night one of the UK Eras Tour is drawing to a close.

The crowd shows no signs of letting up though and joins Swift in singing Mastermind.

Midnights like this

Next up on the Midnight era, it's Midnight Rain.

Continuing with fan favourites from her 10th album, Swift performs Vigilante Shit followed by Bejeweled.

Time for another classic... it's Anti-Hero

Undoubtedly another classic in Swift's arsenal, it's time for catchy earworm, Anti-Hero.

The lead single from Midnights, Anti-Hero was played over 17.4m times globally in the 24 hours following its release on Spotify, making it the biggest opening day for a song in the platform's history.

A look into the Lavender Haze

Where has all the time gone? It only seemed to begin a couple of minutes ago, but we’re already in the final era of The Eras show.

This is Midnights, her 10th album, from 2022, which marked a return to pop after the acoustic musings of her pandemic-era albums.

The sequence begins with Taylor’s infamous“stage dive” stunt, after which she re-emerges in a faux fur coat, to sing the breezily upbeat love song Lavender Haze.

Coming up in this section, we’ll also see a giant-sized Taylor terrorising a city during Anti-Hero, and a Fosse-style chair dance during Vigilante.

Welcome to Midnights

We are on the final era of the evening but the party is not over yet.

Swift kicks off the Midnights era with Lavender Haze.

Second surprise...

Before we move onto the final era of the evening, there is one more surprise song.

The second surprise song is...

'Tis The Damn Season, from the Folklore album.

What were we saying about Taylor having the fans in the palm of her hand?

Well, it must have taken its toll as the singer has to have another pause when her hand seizes up.

“This has never happened before, it’s so embarrassing. It’s like a claw.”

After massaging her palm for a second she’s able to keep going.

Swift pauses to check on fans

Taylor notices some people having difficulty at the front of the audience and holds a chord for a looooong time.

“I’m just gonna keep playing until someone notices them. We’re not going to keep singing. We’re going to keep talking until the people in front of me get help.”

“Are we good?” she says as the medical team reach them.

Time for the surprise songs...

“Welcome to the acoustic section,” announces Taylor.

“This is a tradition I started on the Eras Tour where I do a different thing every night.

“Tonight I have a feeling the song I want you to hear is going to match up with what you want to hear.”

Her first choice is Would’ve Should’ve Could’ve from Midnights.

The secret is just about out

And now to the moment a lot of fans have been waiting for – the acoustic set, where Taylor traditionally performs two “surprise songs” that don’t feature in the usual setlist

.Fans have been speculating all day about the tracks she’ll pick for Edinburgh. Some suggested Castles Crumbling, from Speak Now, as a reference to Edinburgh Castle.

Others were predicting Guilty As Sin, as it references the Glaswegian new wave band Blue Nile.

It won’t be long until we find out.

A look at I Can Do It With a Broken Heart

I Can Do It With A Broken Heart is the last song of the Tortured Poets segment – and it’s an intriguing addition to include on the setlist.

The lyric is essentially about the Eras Tour itself, with Taylor talking about the stamina and determination she needed to keep performing last year, while simultaneously dealing with a brutal break-up.

“Breaking down, I hit the floor / All the pieces of me shattered as the crowd was chanting, ‘More’.”

“I was grinning like I'm winning, I was hitting my marks / 'Cause I can do it with a broken heart.”

As the song starts, she appears to collapse onto a sofa in the shape of a broken heart, and two circus ringmasters appear to revive her and force her back out to face the crowd.

This is either an incredible feat of meta-narrative dexterity, or the moment where the snake eats its tail.

It's almost time for some surprises...

The Tortured Poets Department era is drawing to a close for the evening and anticipation is building in the arena for the much-speculated-upon surprise songs.

First though, it's I Can Do It With A Broken Heart.

Every song an instant classic

The phenomenon of the Tortured Poets Department was announced to fans during an award acceptance speech by Swift in February.

Despite being only released in April, it's clear the songs are instant classics in the eyes of the fans.

Swift continues by performing the Smallest Man Who Ever Lived.

Two-and-a-half hours into the show and there is no let-up...from Swift or the crowd

The Murrayfield crowd belts out the lyrics as Swift kicks off Down Bad followed closely by Fortnight.

Truth, dare and spin the bottles

Continuing with the Tortured Poets Department, it's So High School.

The song echoes the sound of music Taylor Swift and other millennials would have enjoyed in high school, being likened to Avril Lavigne.

Then it's... Who's Afraid Of Little Old Me?

"You should be."

IN PICTURES: Swift has the Swifties in the palm of her hand

It has been an awesome show so far, with Taylor Swift leaving the Murrayfield crowd breathless.

Joe Alwyn breaks silence on Taylor Swift split and references to him on Eras Tour

Joe Alwyn has opened up about his split from Taylor Swift and the public scrutiny that followed, amid rumors that he's alluded to in her latest album .

The 33-year-old actor and the 34-year-old singer-songwriter were believed to be together for six years before news broke of their separation last year. Taylor is now dating NFL star Travis Kelce , while Joe is also thought to have moved on. Speculation has been rife that Taylor dropped songs referencing their breakup in the album The Tortured Poets Department, which dropped in April and quickly topped the UK charts, breaking several records along the way.

Now, weeks later, Joe has spoken out about the speculation surrounding him and his break up with the Grammy-award winning artist. He acknowledged that navigating the end of a long-term relationship can be "hard," especially when it's under the public microscope.

Speaking to the Sunday Times Style Magazine , as reported by PA Media, he said: "I would hope that anyone and everyone can empathise and understand the difficulties that come with the end of a long, loving, fully committed relationship of over six and a half years. That is a hard thing to navigate."

Joe, known for his roles in films such as The Favourite (2018), described the public scrutiny following a break up as "unusual and abnormal." He expressed his discomfort at how quickly personal matters become public news, allowing everyone to "weigh in," leading to speculation and distortion of facts.

In an interview during Taylor's Eras Tour in the UK, he shared: "There is always going to be a gap between what is known and what is said." He also admitted that he has come to terms with this reality. He revealed that both he and Taylor chose to keep the intimate details of their relationship under wraps, insisting it was never meant to be commercialized.

Joe maintained that he sees no reason to alter this stance now. Reflecting on his life a year after their split, Joe confessed that he feels "fortunate" to be in a good place both professionally and personally, stating that he feels "really good."

The interview coincides with Taylor's ongoing Eras Tour, which has recently arrived in the UK. She has already graced stages in Edinburgh and Liverpool, with upcoming performances scheduled in Cardiff and London. The tour will then continue to Ireland and other European locations.

Watch as Taylor Swift takes a swipe at ex boyfriend as she performs on Eras Tour in UK

  • Tilly Pearce
  • Published : 8:30 ET, Jun 15 2024
  • Updated : 10:32 ET, Jun 15 2024
  • Published : Invalid Date,

TAYLOR Swift appeared to take a swipe at ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris on the latest show of her phenomenal Eras tour.

The Fortnights singer is currently doing the first UK leg of her international tour, and on Friday performed at Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium.

Taylor has been wowwing millions across the world on her Eras Tour

As has become tradition throughout her tour - where she’s celebrating the album’s she’s released to date - Taylor dropped two surprise songs unique to the gig.

The first was a mash-up of Gold Rush from her album Evermore, and Calvin Harris track This Is What You Came For.

Taylor co-wrote the track while she was dating the DJ - real name Adam Wiles - back in 2016, but it was later given to Rihanna .

Officially, Taylor isn’t credited on the song, with the singer opting to use the pseudonym Nils Sjöberg instead.

Before singing the song in Liverpool, she told the audience: "Every single time I have an acoustic set, I'm always trying to think of things you might want to hear — maybe things that might be a little bit unexpected.

“Let's see how we did tonight.”

Her involvement on This Is What You Came For was only confirmed after her split with Harris in June 2016, with her rep confirming Taylor and Nils Sjöberg were one and the same.

Before that point, Harris had told Ryan Seacrest on his US radio show he would never work with Taylor, which reportedly caused upset given the smash hit the song became.

This sparked off a huge feud between the two after their split, with Harris later going off on a rant on Twitter (now X), accusing Taylor’s team of “trying to tear him down”.

He wrote: “I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do.

“Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though.”

“I wrote the music, produced the song, arranged it and cut the vocals though,” he added.

“And initially she wanted it kept secret, hence the pseudonym. And she sings on a little bit of it too. Amazing lyric writer and she smashed it as usual.”

Harris later rescinded his statement and said he was "blessed to work with her", doubling down on the sentiment in an interview with GQ in 2017.

During the chat, he said he “snapped” and was “protecting what he sees as his one talent in the world being belittled”.

So fans were delighted at hearing her perform the song.

"Taylor Swift deciding to sing (for the first time ever!) This is What You Came For while in the UK, aka the song she co-wrote with Calvin Harris, is UNHINGED, I love her," one said on X.

"Taylor Swift sings Calvin Harris This Is What You Came For in Liverpool - The best surprise songs of the tour last night in my opinion," added a second.

Taylor’s Eras Tour - which started in March 2023 - will finish at the end of 2024.

The singer confirmed the news on stage, marking her 100th performance of the staggering three-hour show.

"This is the very first time I’ve ever acknowledged to myself and admitted that this tour is going to end in December," she told the audience.

Paul will bring his acclaimed Got Back Tour to South America later this year!

Fulfilling his promise to 'get back', Paul will return to Uruguay, Argentina, Chile and Peru. His first show of 2024 will take place on 1st October in Montevideo.

With songs like ‘Hey Jude’, ‘Live and Let Die’, ‘Band on the Run’,  ‘Let It Be’ and so many more, the Paul McCartney live experience is everything any music lover could ever want from a rock show: hours of the greatest moments from the last 60 years of music – dozens of songs from Paul’s solo, Wings and of course Beatles catalogues that have formed the soundtracks of our lives.

Paul will return for his first live performance in Montevideo in ten years. He has previously performed in Montevideo twice (2012, 2014) and this will be his third time at Estadio Centenario. This will mark his first live performances in Bueno Aires in five years - in 2019 he played at Campo Argentino de Polo. For fans in Córdoba the wait has been even longer as it has been eight years since Paul visited the city. Paul played his first solo show in Argentina in 1993 and has played eight shows there since. Santiago will see him return after five years - he has previously performed in the city four times, starting in 1993. And lastly, Paul will return to Lima after ten years, and this will mark his third time performing in Peru and his second visit to the Estadio Nacional.

Paul launched his Got Back tour in 2022, completing 16 huge shows across the US before performing what the British Times newspaper described as the “ best gig ever ” with his history-making set at Glastonbury in June 2022. In 2023 Paul performed 18 incredible shows as the Got Back tour rocked through Australia, Mexico and Brazil.

When is Glastonbury, who’s on the lineup and can you still get tickets?

Coldplay, dua lipa and sza are headlining the pyramid stage at worthy farm this year, while shania twain will take on the coveted legends slot, article bookmarked.

Glastonbury, the world’s most famous music festival, returns this month and will see thousands of fans flocking to Worthy Farm in Somerset.

Co-organiser Emily Eavis and her team are preparing to welcome revellers to the site and play host to some of the biggest artists across pop, rock, indie, R&B, rap, punk and soul.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the big weekend.

When is Glastonbury 2024?

The gates to Glastonbury Festival 2024 will open at around 8am Wednesday 26 June, with the event running until Sunday 30 June. The majority of the live music performances take place between 29-30 June, with many of them also shown on TV.

A word of warning: there is no entertainment or facilities in the Glastonbury car parks, and guests are expected to remain in their cars until the festival gates open. Car parks will be open from 9pm on Tuesday 25 June, allowing festival-goers to avoid the worst of the traffic and arrive through the night.

Who’s playing Glastonbury this year?

Dua Lipa is headlining the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury 2024

After months of speculation and rumours that several bookings had fallen through, this year’s festival will be headlined by Dua Lipa, Coldplay and SZA , while country-pop superstar Shania Twain will take on the Legends Slot.

It was rumoured that Madonna was a strong contender to headline, as Eavis has previously expressed her desire to have the pop icon play the Pyramid Stage. However, The Independent understands that negotiations collapsed due to various requirements from the “Hung Up” star’s team, including the estimated cost of putting on a show that would match her 2024 Celebration tour.

Other rumoured artists in the running were Stevie Nicks, Cher and Stevie Wonder.

Other artists on the lineup include Avril Lavigne, Cyndi Lauper, Little Simz, Seventeen, Idles, The Last Dinner Party, Camila Cabello, Burna Boy, London Grammar, PJ Harvey, Janelle Monae, Fat White Family, Sugababes, Fatboy Slim, Michael Kiwanuka, Bloc Party, Two Door Cinema Club, Jessie Ware and Paloma Faith.

Are there any Glastonbury 2024 tickets left and how much do they cost?

A reveller sings along as Lewis Capaldi performs on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury 2023

The Glastonbury resale took place in April and, due to typically high demand, sold out in just 22 minutes. The cost of getting into the 2024 festival was £360 per person including the booking fee, up from £340 last year.

Eavis justified the hike last year in a statement that said: “We have tried very hard to minimise the increase in price on the ticket but we’re facing enormous rises in the costs of running this vast show, while still recovering from the huge financial impact of two years without a festival because of Covid.”

Are there any other ways to get into Glastonbury festival?

Besides the general resale, another great way to get into Glastonbury is by volunteering. Registration to volunteer for charities WaterAid and Oxfam has closed, but spaces do occasionally become available if people drop out.

Greenpeace also offers free entry to the festival and three meals a day to volunteers. In return, you are expected to work a minimum of five eight-hour shifts during the festival between 25 June and 1 July. However, applications for 2024 are now also closed.

WHAT IS MAMMA MIA THE MUSICAL ABOUT?

From West End to global phenomenon, MAMMA MIA! is Judy Craymer’s ingenious vision of staging the story-telling magic of ABBA’s timeless songs with a sunny, funny tale of a mother, a daughter and three possible dads unfolding on a Greek island idyll.

To date, it has been seen by over 65 million people in 50 productions in 16 different languages. In 2011 it became the first Western musical ever to be staged in Mandarin in the People’s Republic of China. MAMMA MIA the musical became the 8th longest running show in Broadway history where it played a record-breaking run for 14 years.

The movie version is said to have been the highest-grossing live-action musical film of all time upon its release in 2008. A second film, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, opened in July last year and is reportedly the most successful live musical movie sequel of all time.

With music and lyrics by Benny Andersson & Björn Ulvaeus,  Mamma Mia!  is written by Catherine Johnson, directed by Phyllida Lloyd and choreographed by Anthony Van Laast.

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour UK setlist and surprise song predictions

Taylor Swift in a white dress performing onstage on the Eras Tour

The Lover House is burned down, Speak Now is fighting for her life, and we’re all afraid of little old Taylor Swift as she brings the Eras Tour to the UK, with the nation preparing for her first concert tonight.

The 34-year-old’s mammoth three-and-a-half-hour set has sold out arenas in Edinburgh, Liverpool, Cardiff, and six shows in London, kicking off in Edinburgh on Friday night.

UK-based Swifties have really gone all out, with Capital FM releasing a radio station dedicated to the All Too Well icon.

Paris night one revealed an entirely new tour version as the Tortured Poets Department took centre stage and the entire Eras Tour was changed, from bodysuits to choreography.

Fans had already speculated there might be a switch up after she released the Eras Tour film before her tour had finished but this was more than our wildest dreams.

It’s no surprise that Taylor has added in the new album but as the Eras Tour was already incredibly long, some songs were left on the cutting room floor.

The Archer, tis the damn season, and even the last great American dynasty were all brutally ripped from the setlist.

New glittering bodysuits and dresses were rolled out for every era except Reputation, which is the last in the album in the show to get its Taylor’s Version.

So far no vault track appears on her main setlist, only core album songs have a permanent place on the Eras Tour.

Swifties have been left in utter disbelief as Folklore and Evermore were combined into one era, known as the sisters era, to keep the time down.

Speak Now was reduced back down to one song — RIP Long Live — and debut remains reserved for surprise songs in the acoustic set.

Let’s be honest Taylor could perform for six hours and fans would still want more but even she would probably find that exhausting.

After so much upheaval, let’s see what Taylor Swift’s setlist has been left looking like and what that means for the UK.

We’re still going strong opening with Lover but even her seventh studio album and big opener couldn’t survive Taylor’s great setlist war. We’ll miss you, The Archer.

  • Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince
  • Cruel Summer
  • You Need To Calm Down

Fearless Era

The album that made her a superstar remains unscathed but since there were only three songs for this era it’s hardly surprising.

However, a new tasselled bodysuit was revealed and it looks incredibly similar to one worn on the Our Song hitmaker’s original Fearless tour in 2009.

  • You Belong With Me

I’m never recovering from this pic.twitter.com/rNTY9smbVH — B R I T T A N Y 🤍 (@sobrittgoes) May 9, 2024

In a position switch up, the setlist now moved from Fearless into Red instead of Evermore but the songs remain unchanged and All Too Well remains firmly in pride of place.

  • We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together
  • I Knew You Were Trouble
  • All Too Well (10 Minute Version)

Speak Now Era

Justice for Speak Now, already balding but now scalped as Long Live has been once more removed.

We’re begging Taylor, I will sacrifice I Knew You Were Trouble for just one more purple-painted dream.

Reputation Era

Yet to have its Taylor’s Version released, Reputation remains unchanged on the mammoth set but has been moved to after Red and Speak Now rather than before.

It’s also the only section that has not had an outfit change, the day that red and black bodysuit goes we’re all going to lose our minds.

  • …Ready For It?
  • Don’t Blame Me
  • Look What You Made Me Do

Folklore/Evermore Era

Once separate totalling 12 songs, Taylor’s lockdown albums have been combined into one – with a lot of casualties.

‘We have reunited the sister albums,’ the singer told the Paris crowd, joking it could be called ‘everlore’ or ‘folkmore’.

Removed from the setlist are: Tis the damn season, the last great American dynasty, invisible string, and tolerate it.

  • Cardigan (folklore)
  • Betty (folklore)
  • Champagne Problems (evermore)
  • August (folklore)
  • Illicit Affairs (folklore)
  • My Tears Ricochet (folklore)
  • Marjorie (evermore)
  • Willow (evermore)

Mother’s favourite child remains safe and sound with no changes and still following the Folklore set. Honestly, we would have loved to see some of this swapped out for the vault tracks which stormed the charts last year.

Bad Blood remains on the setlist, we wonder if Kendrick Lamar is free to come do a surprise live feature…

  • Blank Space
  • Shake It Off
  • Wildest Dreams
this 1989 outfit is EVERYTHING 😭 pic.twitter.com/hr01OgoCzz — Je ϟ (@_jeanea) May 9, 2024

The Tortured Poets Department

Initially, Swifties weren’t sure if this would be added and if so how could the 31 tracks possibly be whittled down into just a handful?

A new era brings blessings of brand new outfits, a floating stage set piece, gunshot choreography, and of course some insane vocal moments.

Taylor has spoken and these are (probably) her favourites off TTPD.

  • But Daddy I Love Him
  • So High School
  • Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me
  • The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived
  • I Can Do It with a Broken Heart

Taylor Swift singing into a microphone wearing a white dress

The stage she’s gliding around on during Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me? IS A MIRROR!!!!! The audience can see themself in the mirror as she’s singing “You caged me and then you called me crazy. I am what I am ’cause you trained me” 💀💀💀 pic.twitter.com/YuV6A21dLs — 🩶beatriz🤍 – ttpd (@coneyisland131) May 9, 2024

Surprise songs

Each night Taylor plays two surprise songs from her vast discography, these have included This Love and Clean from 1989 and Dear John and Last Kiss from Speak Now.

Also known as the acoustic set, Paris Night One fans were (obviously) treated to Paris from her album Midnights played on piano and loml on guitar from TTPD.

In this leg of the tour, Taylor has taken to singing some gut-wrenching mashups and announced she could sing whatever she wanted so any song is on the table.

There are some songs it’s likely she’ll reserve for London, such as London Boy and So Long, London but the rest as up for grabs.

Since the slate was wiped clean with this new leg, and Taylor’s penchant for singing You’re On Your Own Kid repeatedly, there’s no way to predict the Mastermind’s moves.

this might be the best midnights bodysuit yet pic.twitter.com/edqJw45yYC — Tayvis Nation 🏈🫶🏻 (@tayvisnation) May 9, 2024

Midnights Era

Closing out the show is the iconic era which gave us ‘Karma is the guy on the chiefs ’ and that chair choreography — Midnights.

Her 2022 album gets sparkling new outfits, although the Lavender Haze fluffy lilac jacket has not been swapped out.

  • Lavender Haze
  • Midnight Rain
  • Vigilante Shit

What is the old Eras Tour setlist?

With so many changes, here’s what Taylor’s Eras Tour used to look like for a setlist run

  • tis the damn season
  • champagne problems
  • tolerate it
  • invisible string
  • the last great american dynasty
  • illicit affairs
  • my tears ricochet

When is the Eras Tour in the UK?

The Eras Tour comes to the UK from tonight , beginning in Edinburgh for three nights before heading to Liverpool, Cardiff, and London .

Who knows what Taylor will have in store for fans given her love for keeping everyone on their toes.

Given the huge overhaul, this is likely to be the setlist for the UK gigs and all her European dates but might have minor tweaks thrown in.

Of course, if you’re sad your favourite track is not on there is always a chance it could be one of the surprise songs as she has no rules around what she can and can’t sing here.

We’re hoping for Picture to Burn, Suburban Legends, The Black Dog , or Hits Different but that tells you far too much about us.

What is Paramore's Eras Tour setlist?

The iconic pop punk band Paramore will be opening for Taylor Swift at the UK gigs and they revealed their setlist in Paris.

Of course, it is much shorter but still packed with hits from the chart-topping band, fronted by Taylor’s long time friend Hayley Williams.

  • Hard Times (+ Heart Of Glass)
  • Burning Down The House
  • Still Into You
  • Caught In The Middle
  • Brick By Boring Brick
  • The Only Exception
  • That’s What You Get
  • Ain’t It Fun
  • This Is Why
