Buffalo Boat Tours, a vibrant family-owned venture, stands at the forefront of Canalside following Buffalo’s spectacular waterfront metamorphosis.

We started our company in 2009 running tours and charters on the Spirit of Buffalo and have continually grown and expanded offerings ever since. We are passionate about delivering impeccable customer service and exceptional experiences on the water. We love sharing our rich, local history and waterways with our guests and welcome you aboard to experience Buffalo and Western New York in a whole new way.

We have three beautiful and unique vessels: Harbor Queen, Spirit of Buffalo, and Big Kahuna. Each is equipped with restrooms for your comfort. Our vessels all have full bars on board to enhance your experience. We offer refreshing water, sodas, beer, wine and enticing mixed drinks. Bagged snacks are also available for purchase. We accept cash and all major credit cards. Please note that outside beverages and food (including coolers) are not permitted onboard.

Our custom built Tiki Boat, “Pau Hana” can accommodate up to 40 guests. Our boat has unique features such as an attractive palm thatch canopy and cushioned seating! The tiki boat is also equipped with a surround-sound speaker system, LED lighting for evening cruises, a restroom and full bar serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages!

Rates/Pricing

Pricing: $1,200 (plus fees) for up to 25 guests $1,400 for 26-40 guests

Rates include a two hour exclusive Private Tiki Cruise! Additional time may be available. Tier 1 Additional Hour: $600 , Tier 2 Additional Hour: $700. All prices do not include any bar packages! 

Don’t have a confirmed guest count for your party yet? You can book your reservation for the minimum guest quantity, and then add additional passengers up to 48hrs prior to your cruise date.

Why book a Private Charter? You get the entire boat to yourselves, you can bring food onboard and control your own music!

Daytime Charter Times : 11:00am-1:00pm, 1:30pm-3:30pm, 4:00pm-6:00pm

Evening Sunset Charter : 6:30pm-8:30pm or 7:00pm-9:00 Mid Summer *Evening departure times vary throughout season.

A 50% deposit is required to reserve your date. Please visit our policies page for details on weather cancellations and refunds.

If your party is larger than 40 people, we may be able to accommodate you with an additional boat in our fleet! 

Catering Options Available from many local restaurants! 

Our local restaurants at the Riverfront are great to work with and will deliver the food prior to your guests arriving. You may also bring your own food. We recommend easy food to eat on board!

Coolers must be approved. No alcoholic beverages or glass bottles may be brought on board.

Our locations, take a tour with us.

Our tiki boats are a thatch-covered floating tiki boat with bar and bench seating. Our vessels are perfect for your next trip out on the water. Just book your tickets, get your group, climb aboard and drift away with us!

When you book a tour with us, you will be chartered around the water for 75 minutes on a tour. Enjoy a ride around the water while you sip on your favorite drink and listen to your favorite music!

From start to finish it was great. Our captain and his lovely first mate were so accommodating and sweet...and fun! We will be back soon!

It started with a concept we loved...

Floating tiki boats have taken over several lakes and waterways in recent years! Early on, our team was always very interested in getting 'on board' with the concept, and so we did. Most people in water towns and cities are familiar with the 'party on the water' and the adventure it brings visiting patrons. One of our owners decide to have a tiki made for personal enjoyment. He soon realized the roar and attention this was getting all over the lake. Knowing people were eager to experience this new style of boat chartering, the business was born.

Then, we started moving...

Our flagship location is on Lake George in upstate New York. Our first boats were six passenger octagon boats. Seeing immediate success our first season on the water, we were quickly on our way to building another boat to accomodate the stampede of people looking to get a tour. Within a couple seasons, we decided to design and build a larger tiki boat, one that can hold 12-14 people instead of hosting a tour for just 6. This was quite a game-changer for our business! It allowed us to attract all styles and sizes of gatherings.

And here we are now...

We have learned that by doubling the capacity of patrons we can invite on for a tour, our business has seen quite an up-kick in versatility. Bachelor/bachelorette events, birthday parties, corporate affairs, and so many more groups of people are looking to get away, get out on the water and have a great time! Our 1 hour and 45 minute leisurely cruise on our tiki boat "Rum Shaker" takes us to the Lynnhaven River Basin and Broad Bay waterways all year long. Price is $450 plus taxes for the recreational bareboat rental and $120 to pay the boat operator of your choice separately for 7-12 people or provide your own qualified operator. We are as flexible as possible to provide a great experience on the water.

Captain Mike is the owner/main Captain with over 25 years of experience navigating boats on the waterways of Florida.  Captain Mike is a Master Captain and fully licensed.  He is CPR certified and a fantastic entertainer.  He knows the best spots for photo opportunities, and you are sure to see some wildlife with him!

Meet Captain kye!!!

Captain Kye is a native of New Smyrna Beach with over 15 years of experience on the water in New Smyrna and Ponce.  Captain Kye is a Master Captain and fully licensed.  He is CPR certified and a great entertainer.  As a local, he knows all the perfect sandbars and has great suggestions for restaurant and bar stops.

All of our tours are BYOB.  You can bring food on the tour or we can make arrangements for catering or a restaurant stop on many of our tours.  We provide water, a cooler, ice and cups for your convenience.  

Yes!  Our tours are all private tours so it will be just your group of people along with the captain and a first mate if necessary. 

There is a very small port a pot on the boat that is strongly encouraged to be used for emergency purposes only.  

Absolutely!  We have a great blue tooth speaker system that you can access and play all of your favorite tunes.  There is also a charging port for cell phones on board! 

Our vessel holds six guests, along with a captain and first mate. Children are allowed on the boat but children under the age of 6 must wear a life vest.  Life jackets are available upon request so please notify us in advance if your party includes small children.  

Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow time for boarding of the vessel.  Parking for all tours is a public boat ramp parking lot.  There is a fee to park (approximately $10 per vehicle) unless you have a Volusia County Resident parking pass.  

Inlet Shores Tiki Tours reserves the right to cancel any cruise at any time due to inclement weather, safety, mechanical, or behavior concerns. The captain has the discretion to terminate a trip when they believe passenger safety has become a concern due to weather-related or behavioral issues. If a tour has been canceled due to weather concerns or cut short within the first 45 minutes, you will receive a gift certificate to reschedule another tour based on availability.

In the event of potential inclement weather, a “captain’s call” will be made if conditions on the water appear too hazardous for a tour. If it is a passing storm where the following tour is vacant, the captain can opt to wait and delay the tour.  The captain, scheduling manager, and guests will need to be in complete agreement for this to occur.

If your tour is canceled or terminated early due to behavioral issues or visible intoxication, there will be no refund or rescheduling.

 Yes!  Our captains work for tips, we encourage a 20% gratuity. They are very experienced, knowledgeable, and highly trained and work hard to ensure your safety while providing a fantastic experience. 

Bring any food and drink that you desire, an ID showing that you are over 21 if you intend to consume alcohol on the boat, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, phone with your favorite music playlist, and cash for tipping the captain!  If your tour includes swimming please bring towels. If your tour is an afternoon or evening tour, it is recommended to bring a sweater or light jacket. 

Swimming is only permitted on tours with a duration of greater than 2 hours and a waiver must be signed stating that you are an experienced and knowledgeable swimmer.  All swimming is at your own risk with no certified lifeguard.  

There is a slight booking fee to book a reservation online which will be applied as you checkout.  To avoid a booking fee, you may call or submit an inquiry to reserve your tour but it cannot be guaranteed that the date and time will be available.  Calls will be returned within 24 hours.  Booking online is in real time and all current availability is listed.

Book Online with BOOK NOW! Choose/Select the tour date and time and number of guests (min of 4). Credit card checkout using our secure booking software. You will receive an email or text message with your confirmation. OR you can use the QR Code available that will take you directly to our booking and website. You can call us to book by phone or if you have questions at 941-500-2990

All tours are private, we do not pair or share you with another group. Your tour is PRIVATE and is just you, and your guests. We have a minimum of 4 guests and a maximum of 12 guests and you, the “charterer”.

We tour 7 days per week weather permitting. Our Captains determine if a tour needs to be canceled due to weather or mechanical issues that may arise. You will be properly notified. Some Holidays will be excluded from tours.

Each day tour offered is 90 minutes and Sunset is 2 hours. Custom tours are always welcome but must be scheduled in advance.

Day Tours: $39.95 per guest – 11 am- 1 pm- 3 pm- 5 pm (90 min) Sunset: $59.95 per guest – 7:00-9:00 pmChoose your date/time and number of passengers for your tour. After you book if you need to add more folks, you can make changes simply by giving us a call. NOTE: Hours change during daylight savings time. All hours and pricing are subject to change at any time.

Cancellations must be made 72- hours in advance to receive a full refund or reschedule. Cancellations made after this 72-hour window will be non-refundable, Same day bookings are also final sales and non-refundable including but not limited to you arriving under the influence of alcohol or drugs or arriving later than scheduled departure time, and not having a valid government photo identification. No-shows and personal emergencies will be treated as non-refundable. Cancellation Due To Weather – In the event we are faced with bad weather, we keep a close eye on thunderstorms and may need to cancel. If so, you will have the option to reschedule to a future date with a gift card or a refund back to the card used at the time of booking. This is Florida and we have showers every day and we do not cancel for what we call “Charlie Brown Rainclouds” However, we are not going to put you in harm’s way of thunder, lightning, and heavy rain. Yes, if it starts to rain while on the tour and not a heavy downpour, we have rain slickers on the boat to protect you and your clothing and will finish the tour. Our sun pops in and out a lot! Forecasts are not always exact. Example: It can be raining in Port Charlotte but not in Punta Gorda, on one side of the street but not the other. Yes, this does happen!

Reschedules made before 72 hours can call 941-500-2990 or email at [email protected] with the new date/time for a rescheduled tour, and we will do our best to make those changes. We would be happy to apply your credit to gift cards for future tours.

Dress for fun! Probably not a good idea to wear those red sole Jimmy Choo sandals, but everyday flip-flops or sandals are perfect. Watch out for water/splashes, the floor might get wet. Dress for comfort and remember it can get chilly so grab a jacket, especially in the evening. WEATHER: We keep a close eye on the forecast and will determine if the weather is to nasty for your tour. A little rain may not stop us but certainly lightening or severe climate will. We are here to help you have a lot of fun. Your Captain will reach out to you with updates.

Yes, you can bring your Food and Beverages (yes alcohol is okay). NOTE: If you look younger than thirty years of age, have your ID ready to be checked by the Captain. We have guests who order online from Publix in the catering section and pick up the food to bring on the tiki boat, it is that easy and very yummy. We provide plenty of ice in the coolers, and bottled water, so bring your snacks, appetizers, and beverages of choice

Yes, we have a clean private restroom for your convenience. This is a big plus! No need to wait, we’ve got you covered.

Yes. Our Tiki boat is equipped with a Bluetooth Audio system that can play music from your phone or ours. We have a huge selection of music available. Let’s not forget we have Karaoke music and microphones for you singers, along with our Disco Ball, Tambourines, and more. We say there is no such thing as a bad singer, just not perfect.

No, We have a strict nonsmoking/vaping policy on the boat for fire safety purposes and insurance.

We too love dogs, but unfortunately, we do not recommend bringing your dog, unless it is a certified service dog that has a valid certification which will be required and checked by the Captain. Are Children Allowed? We love children and are family-friendly, so yes kids are allowed. We require kids 5 and under to wear their USCG life vest/jacket and recommend they have their own. Many young children don’t enjoy the tours much, 90 minutes can seem like forever for them. For their safety, children need to stay seated and not walk around during the tour.

A US Coast Guard-certified captain is available for all tours. We have a list of vetted and qualified captains who are experienced and Red Cross-trained for medical emergencies, and very knowledgeable of Charlotte Harbor.

Yes, yes, yes, we encourage a 20% or more tip for the captain and crew. The captains do not own the vessel and most captains are seasonal and appreciate the tips.

If your loved one has been cremated, and you would like to have a celebration of life onboard and sprinkle the ash in the water, that is a service we offer. We will mark the location on your map if you would like to return back to the site.

Halifax meets the Caribbean: All aboard the tiki tour!

S tephen Jeddry realized his dream in 2023 when he built his own tiki vessel to start a tour business in Halifax, N.S., after seeing them around the Caribbean.

The one downside, however, was the weather during his inaugural year.

“Nova Scotia had the worst weather in our history," he shared with The Weather Network. "We had raging forest fires and raging floods. This impacts us greatly as tour operators. A lot of people will shy away from coming to Nova Scotia when we have extreme weather conditions like this. So we picked up the pieces; the rest of the summer we had a good summer; we made it through the winter, and now we're back again.”

He even doubled down and built a new, larger addition to what he calls his 'tiki fleet'.

“When people see [a] tiki, they see relaxation, they see the Caribbean, they see warmth, and they see cold drinks. So, when people come to me, that’s what they’re looking for. I tell everyone, the stress has to stay on the dock,” said Jeddry.

Most of the lumber used is Atlantic white cedar, with the hut itself made in Fredericton and shipped to Halifax to be added to the boat.

If there are any weather warnings on the harbour, Jeddry will cancel his tour and issue a full refund.

“I’ve been working seven days a week since February, and to see the excitement, the pleasure, and the happiness of the people on the docks that see my vessels go by and see people have fun, it’s humbling, and it’s a sense of pride.”
