Taylor Swift in Madrid: dates, timings, setlist and everything you need to know

The Eras tour has arrived in Europe – here’s everything you need to know about her upcoming shows in Madrid

Llorenç Julià Ruiz

Swifties of Madrid , your wait is nearly over. Following the release of her brand-new double album The Tortured Poets Department , Taylor Swift has finally landed in  Europe with the Eras Tour (the highest-grossing tour in history, we’ll have you know).

The tour kicked off in Paris last night  and she’ll be heading to Madrid at the end of May. Got tickets? Lucky you. This is everything you need to know about Taylor Swift’s upcoming shows in the Spanish capital.

When are the Taylor Swift concerts in Madrid?

The global popstar will perform twice at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium , on May 29 and 30 .

What time will Taylor Swift come on stage?

The show on May 29 will start at 8pm, while the performance on May 30 will kick off earlier, at 6.30pm. Based on the timings of her first Paris show, we estimate she’ll take to the stage between 9 and 9.30pm on May 29, and between 7.30 and 8pm on May 30.

When will the concert end?

The Eras Tour shows tend to last over three hours, and some have lasted almost four. Depending on any surprise songs or guest appearances, t he shows should end at around 12.30am on May 29, and 11pm on May 30.

Are there any tickets left?

Sadly both Madrid shows have completely sold out.

How much are the tickets?

Ticket prices range between €85 and €226.50, while VIP passes cost a whopping €589.

Taylor Swift wearing a yellow dress

Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour touches down in Madrid next week, and in the words of Swift herself, “it’s best that [you] move fast” if you’re planning on snagging last-minute tickets.

Swift is playing two back-to-back nights at Madrid’s Estadio Santiago Bernabeu next Wednesday, May 29, and Thursday, May 30, and she’ll once again be joined by rock band Paramore as the opener.

Ahead of the two-night run, the tour stop made news as the Real Madrid football club filed a request to move up the final day of the La Liga season in order to give Swift’s team adequate time to construct the stage. It appears the match was moved, as Real Madrid will take on Real Betis tomorrow rather than the originally scheduled Sunday.

Enthusiasm is clearly at an all-time high, but prices on these shows are dropping to new lows. In fact, you can currently snag tickets for under $200; that was unheard of during last year’s United States leg of the Eras Tour, where tickets frequently went for over $1,000 last minute.

Sometimes it pays to procrastinate, and now is definitely one of those times.

Want to catch the show for yourself? Here’s everything you need to know about The Eras Tour in Madrid, Spain.

Vivid Seats is a verified secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

Taylor Swift ‘Eras Tour’ news

Our team has been following the ‘Eras Tour’ closely since it kicked off in March 2023.

Over the past few months, we spoke to a Swiftie who  shared some helpful tips  about seeing Taylor live, reported on  dropping ticket prices  and  came up with a list of all the most exciting fan trends .

Taylor Swift new music

As noted above, Swift’s  “The Tortured Poets Department”  was released at midnight (and subsequently at 2 a.m.) on Friday, April 19.

While every listener will likely come away with their own favorites, the ones we’re spinning on repeat include the piano-driven “Peter,” TTPD’s track 5 “So Long, London,” and the slow-building “The Black Dog.”

If you want to give it a listen — if you haven’t already, that is — you can find “The Tortured Poets Department”  here .

The Hayley Williams-fronted pop-punk rockers are opening for Swift in Europe from May through August this year after a short run on The Eras Tour in the United States last year.

This may come as a bit of a surprise to their fans considering that the group mounted a successful arena tour of their own in 2023, but Williams and Swift are longtime friends, and Williams even featured on a vault track on “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version).”

Paramore’s Eras Tour setlist also spans their eras as a band; it includes songs from their latest album , like “This is Why” and their recent cover of Talking Heads’ “Burning Down the House,” plus older hits like “Misery Business” and “The Only Exception.”

Huge stars on tour in 2024

Although it will cost an arm and a leg and maybe even some international travel to see Swift live this year, there are much more affordable concerts you can attend this year.

Here are just five of our favorite artists you won’t want to miss live, especially if you’re a Swiftie.

•  Olivia Rodrigo

•  Kacey Musgraves

•  Pink

•  Chappell Roan

•  Billie Eilish

How to buy Taylor Swift tickets: Eras Tour dates and prices compared

Taylor Swift's reign continues as she ramps up for the next leg of The Eras Tour. The singer-songwriter will kick off the European portion of her world tour in Paris in May, which will continue throughout the summer. From there, she'll return to North America to tour Canada and a few remaining US cities in the fall. If you're hoping to attend, we've compiled all of the details of The Eras Tour, including how to get Taylor Swift tour tickets.

Swift's Eras Tour has taken the world by storm since March 2023. The three-plus-hour tour features hits from each of Swift's album eras, from "Lover" to her Grammy Award-winning "Midnights." Each show also features surprise songs and occasional guests, so fans never quite know what they're in for. Swift released her latest album, "The Tortured Poets Department," in April, so the Swiftie hype will continue through the summer.

Getting tickets has become its own battle and many fans have waited hours in the Ticketmaster queue to hopefully snag some seats, if they could get a presale ticket code in the first place. While Swift continues to extend the tour, including new US dates, tickets remain hard to come by.

Below, we've put together a guide on everything to know about The Eras Tour, including the tour schedule, ticket purchasing details, resale ticket prices, and the concert film streaming options . You can also peruse resale vendors like StubHub and Vivid Seats at your leisure.

Taylor Swift international tour dates

The Eras Tour international dates resumed on May 9 in Paris. The European tour will run until August 20 in London. UK prices are listed in pounds, and start times vary from city to city. Multiple shows have age restrictions for younger kids and specifics on seating and adult accompaniment. A few venues check that a ticketholder's ID matches the name on the tickets. US dates start in October and can be found under the following table.

Taylor Swift North American tour dates

The Eras tour will return to the US on October 18 in Miami. In addition to the Miami shows, Swift will perform multiple dates in New Orleans and Indianapolis. On November 14, Swift will head to Canada for several shows in Toronto and Vancouver. All North American shows start at 7 p.m. local time.

How to buy tickets for Taylor Swift's 2024 tour

Original standard tickets for Taylor Swift's 2024 sold out long ago for both international and domestic dates. All US tickets and many international tickets were sold through Ticketmaster , although select international locations used different services.

Tickets for most dates are available on resale websites like StubHub and Vivid Seats . These are generally higher-priced than the originals, which are no longer available. Keep in mind that some countries have rules regarding reselling tickets.

On StubHub, UK tour dates come with a note that ticket terms don't permit resale through unauthorized channels and might not be valid for entry. If this ends up being the case, StubHub notes that its FanProtect Guarantee will cover purchasers.

How much are Taylor Swift tickets?

Ticket prices vary by date and location. International resale tickets tend to be a bit cheaper than US resale tickets. It's worth noting that some of the cheapest tickets have restricted views.

StubHub's cheapest European tickets ranged from $190 (Madrid, Spain, on May 29) to £954 (London, England on August 19). The latter is around $1,200 in USD. The lowest prices for most shows are around $200 to $1,000. On Vivid Seats , the cheapest tickets for these dates go for $278 and $963, respectively.

When it comes to North American shows, the cheapest StubHub tickets range from $1,447 (Vancouver, Canada, on December 7) to $2,520 (Indianapolis, Indiana on November 2). Most of the cheapest tickets are priced between $1,500 and $2,250. On Vivid Seats, the cheapest Taylor Swift tickets on these dates start at $1,368 and $2,227, respectively. The two resale vendors generally have similarly priced offerings, but this varies from show to show.

Who is opening for Taylor Swift's tour?

Taylor Swift has a variety of opening acts, from up-and-coming singers to established groups. Opening acts vary by date. For the European leg of the tour, Paramore will open for Swift. In the US and Canada, Gracie Abrams will be the opening act.

Will Taylor Swift add more dates to the Eras Tour?

Taylor Swift has already added additional stops to her tour due to popular demand, including her US tour dates this fall. She also added additional dates to some of her European city stops, including bonus performances in France and the United Kingdom, among other locations. It's unknown whether Swift will end up adding even more tour dates, but by the end of the upcoming US leg she will have been touring for almost two years, so fans shouldn't be surprised if she takes a break.

Will The Tortured Poets Department be a part of the Eras Tour?

It's good news for fans of "The Tortured Poets Department," Swift's new album that dropped on April 19, 2024. Swift is incorporating several of the new tracks into the Eras Tour, as evidenced by the first shows of her European leg. "The Tortured Poets Department" songs currently featured on tour include "But Daddy I Love Him," "So High School," "Down Bad," "Fortnight," "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?," "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived," and "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart."

Since the Eras Tour is already pretty long, this means that Swift is also cutting down a few songs from past Eras that previously made the tour setlist. The songs that were removed from the setlist include "The Archer," "Long Live," "The 1," "The Last Great American Dynasty," "'Tis the Damn Season," and "Tolerate It."

Where can I stream The Eras Tour concert film?

If you'd rather watch The Eras Tour from home, you could always stream it on Disney+. Check out everything you need to know about streaming The Eras Tour concert film in our guide .

Note: Certain services and regions prohibit the resale of tickets. Business Insider does not endorse or condone the illegal reselling of tickets, and entry into an event is at the venue's discretion.

With a capacity of 65,000 spectators in concert format, it has the advantage of being located in the center of Madrid , being very well connected and easily accessible from anywhere in the city.

Another advantage is the complete renovation of the interior, including the latest technological advances, a tremendously avant-garde design, and a large number of options and spaces for eating and drinking.

If you want to get tickets for the Taylor Swift 2024 concert in Madrid, pay close attention as you need to follow all these steps correctly and, above all, good luck!

  • First, you have to register before June 23 at 23:59h on Ticketmaster to get a code for purchasing a ticket. It is essential to know that registering does not guarantee that you will receive a code.
  • If you are one of the lucky ones, you will receive the code and the ticket purchase link on July 12, to buy the tickets from July 13 . Each code allows you to buy a maximum of 4 tickets.
  • If you have not received the code, you will be on the waiting list in case the early access sale is not fully completed. Unfortunately, this is unlikely due to the high level of anticipation generated.

The tickets for the second Taylor Swift concert in Madrid on May 29th will be only available for a limited number of fans who pre-registered for the previous concert.

The tickets will be randomly selected and, if you are lucky, you will receive an email notification starting from February 28th with steps to purchase the tickets.

The ticket prices for the Taylor Swift 2024 Concert in Madrid range from 73 euros , the most affordable option, to 230 euros.

Additionally, VIP tickets are available , priced between 280 and 600 euros. These VIP tickets offer early access and an official merchandise pack from the singer.

If you have not been fortunate enough to receive the ticket purchase code, you should know that the prices of resale tickets have reached exorbitant levels on platforms like StubHub or Viagogo.

Given the high demand for resale tickets, the Ticketmaster website has reminded fans not to trust advertisements on unofficial social media or platforms offering tickets. Unfortunately, scams are common in such events.

To fight against resale, Ticketmaster has started to use nominative tickets. This means that each ticket will contain the buyer’s details and that the ticket holder’s ID card could be requested at the venue to gain access.

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift  transformed the renovated Santiago Bernabéu Stadium into a musical party on Wednesday (May 29), performing to a euphoric crowd of approximately 65,000 fans. It wasn’t only a night full of music and excitement but a triumphant return for Swift, who had not played in Madrid since 2011, with only about 4,000 people in attendance at the WiZink Center. Much has changed since then, and now Swift hangs the “sold out” sign at each of her concerts.

From the first moment she stepped on stage, Swift made it clear how special this night was for her. “It’s an honor to be able to say this so many years later,” she said in English before exclaiming in Spanish, “ Madrid, ¡bienvenidos al Eras Tour! ” Thus began a show of more than three hours where the audience sang non-stop, dancing and vibing with every note. The stadium’s energy was electrifying from the first chord to the last applause.

Swift opened her first of two dates in Madrid with an impressive 45-song set list, organized into 10 sections representing each of her musical eras: Lover , Fearless , Red , Speak Now , Reputation , Folklore/Evermore , 1989 , The Tortured Poets Department , and a surprise set of songs from 2022’s Midnights to close the night. Each era was a journey through time, remembering and celebrating the evolution of one of the world’s most beloved artists.

The singer was visibly moved by the audience’s support and did not miss the opportunity to refer to those 13 years of waiting, promising that “it will never be that long again” until she returns to Spain. With another show scheduled at the Bernabéu Stadium on May 30, Swift’s magic continues to ignite hearts in the Spanish capital. Here are our favorite moments from the special night.

Speaking in Spanish

The artist began the night by greeting the audience in Spanish, demonstrating her effort to connect with local fans. “ Buenas tardes, encantada de veros ,” Swift said after performing the first two tracks from the album Lover , translating to “Good afternoon, nice to see you all.” Throughout the night, she continued to use Spanish phrases, including, “ Madrid, bienvenidos a The Eras Tour ” (“Madrid, welcome to The Eras Tour”).

One of the most applauded moments occurred during the song “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”, when the singer surprised the audience by passing the microphone to one of the dancers, who completed the phrase with an emphatic “ ni de coña ,” which is local slang that roughly translates to “no way.”

Another exciting moment came when Swift performed songs from her 1989 era, wearing an outfit designed by Roberto Cavalli that made a clear nod to the flag of Spain. The star emerged with a red strapless top and a yellow skirt , leading the whole Bernabéu to cheer in approval at the top of their lungs.

Throughout The Eras Tour, Swift has been combining tops and skirts in different colors, from pink and green to yellow and blue at one of her concerts in Sweden. During the Folklore era in Madrid, she wore an Alberta Ferretti dress for the first time in blue, having previously worn it in green and in yellow.

Celebrities in Attendance

Among the thousands in attendance were multiple local and international celebrities, from singers Aitana and Manuel Carrasco (both soon to perform at the same stadium) to the Haim sisters, and Hollywood actors Blake Lively  and Ryan Reynolds with their children.

Aitana arrived at the concert a few minutes after Swift jumped on stage, being greeted with screams and applause from the audience. The “Alpha” singer, who will also fill the Bernabéu for two nights in December, expressed her excitement on Instagram: “Taylor, we LOVE YOU. This is being a dream. I can’t believe that in less than 7 months I’m going to be singing here. December 28 (sold out) and 29 (last tickets left).”

One of the most touching moments occurred before Swift performed “Betty,” when she smiled at Lively and Reynolds’ three children, mentioning that her favorite Folklore characters are James, Ines and Betty. The family enjoyed the concert with special poignancy, given that the children’s names inspired the song. These details underscored Swift’s ability to create an intimate and personal atmosphere in a stadium filled with thousands of people.

The Surprise Songs

Taylor Swift always takes advantage of the acoustic segment of each of her shows to perform unexpected songs, and Madrid was no exception. For her first night in the capital, she chose “Sparks Fly” and “I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can)” to play on guitar, and “I Look in People’s Windows” and “Snow On The Beach” on piano. It was a special and intimate moment in which the audience sang every lyric along with her.

During the performance of “Snow On The Beach,” a trap door on stage opened, causing a surge of excitement among the audience. With her trademark sense of humor, Swift quickly interjected, “I’m sorry, but it’s not Lana [del Rey],” sparking laughter and applause from the audience.

A Sweet Gesture to a Fan

Among the most memorable moments of the night, Swift gave her hat to a young girl in the audience during the song “22.” The star approached her and spoke to her for a few seconds, as cheers from the audience filled the stadium. It’s not something she hasn’t done in the past, but still, the gesture was touching and surely unforgettable for the young fan.

Taylor Swift: Which Eras Tour Songs Didn’t Make Concert Film & Which Surprise Songs Got In

Every show on the Eras Tour involves an acoustic set where Swift performs at least two songs custom to that night’s show. At first, she wouldn’t allow herself repeats unless she messed up the lyrics to a song, but now, she has done away with that rule and gotten more creative by combining songs in mashups and playing up to four in a segment. Every Time Taylor Swift Paused the ‘Eras Tour' to Help Fans in the Crowd

Taylor Swift 's Eras Tour has taken the world by storm, and while the three-hour show is all about celebrating her discography, the singer's No. 1 concern is the safety of her fans.

Swift has even paused her show multiple times during her world tour to alert security of struggling fans in the crowd in hopes of getting them assistance quickly. The Eras Tour has featured cutting-edge technology with its lighting designs and laser effects, and Swift has previously discussed how her performance isn't the only thing that requires a lot of planning.

Before embarking on her Reputation tour in 2018, Swift said she was deeply impacted after 22 people were killed as a result of a bombing during Ariana Grande 's concert in Manchester.

"I was completely terrified to go on tour this time because I didn't know how we were going to keep 3 million fans safe over seven months," Swift told Elle in 2019. "There was a tremendous amount of planning, expense, and effort put into keeping my fans safe. My fear of violence has continued into my personal life."

Taylor Swift Mashes Up 2 New Songs for 2nd ‘Eras Tour' Show in Lyon

The Eras Tour has been an even bigger endeavor for Swift. In December 2023, it was reported that an estimated 4.35 million tickets had been sold across her 60 concerts in North America, Argentina and Brazil before she embarked on the international leg of her tour.

Keeping fans safe is no small feat, and in addition to copious amounts of preliminary safety measures and a top-notch security team, Swift takes personal responsibility for her fans' experience - even when she's on stage.

Keep reading to see every time Swift paused the Eras Tours to ask security to help with a distressed fan.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Swift interrupted her performance of "Bad Blood" during a May 2023 Eras show to call off a security guard who got into an altercation with a fan.

"She's fine," Swift could be heard yelling into the crowd, apparently frustrated by what she saw from her security team. The singer paused again to add, "She wasn't doing anything," before yelling, "Hey, stop" two more times.

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Swift and her fans braved extreme heat during the string of shows in Brazil in November 2023. One concertgoer, Ana Clara Benevides , died of heat exhaustion before a Rio show.

Swift did her best to help fans, and during her performance, she repeatedly asked her off-stage team to provide water to the crowd.

"There's people that need water right here, maybe 30, 35, 40 feet back," she said on stage during the Evermore set, pointing to a floor section of the crowd. "So whoever is in charge of giving them that, just make sure that happens. Can I get a signal that you know where they are?"

Lisbon, Portugal

While Swift was sitting at her piano performing "Champagne Problems" during a May concert, she quickly interrupted her song to alert her security team of a situation .

"Ajuda por favor. Help them please," she said while pointing in the distressed concertgoer's direction. No details about what happened to the fan have been shared.

Stockholm, Sweden

Swift paused her acoustic set to check on fans during a show in May.

"Someone in the front row, can you tell me yes or no to this question: When you guys are putting a bunch of flashlights up in a group, does that mean people need help?" Swift asked the crowd. "We're at the end of the night, so if I see that again, I'm gonna try to point it out. I just didn't know if you were … waving at me."

Every Time Taylor Swift's ‘Eras Tour' Became the ‘Errors Tour'

Madrid, Spain

Swift paused her live performance of "Betty" during her Folklore section in Madrid to help a fan in need of assistance.

"Ayuda por favor," Swift said during a May show, which translates to "please help" in English. Swift also stopped strumming her red acoustic guitar to point at the concertgoer. It is not known what happened.

Taylor Swift’s Eras tour is one of the weirdest in history – here are 9 bizarre things that actually happened

A compilation image of Taylor Swift performing onstage and a mysterious shadowed figure at her Eras Tour show

Is Taylor Swift haunted? Some fans believe so after spotting an eerie shadowy figure at her Madrid show.

The Cruel Summer singer, 34, is currently taking her mammoth Eras Tour across the globe, making a stop in the UK from today with 15 dates at four of the biggest stadiums.

The tour – which boasts an extensive three-and-a-half-hour show at each date from the pop songstress – has seen plenty of bizarre moments, from storms threatening to shut shows down to Taylor accidentally swallowing a bug onstage and Taylor Lautner’s impressive backflip .

And with it kicking off at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium tonight, there’s sure to be plenty more weird and wonderful antics instore for UK fans – hopefully not any more earthquakes .

Here are some of the shenanigans we’ve seen on the Eras Tour so far, from a surprise relationship or two to a venue controversy that went wild online.

A mysterious figure appearing at her Madrid show

The tour appears to have taken a sinister turn with fans speculating a spectre was present at the last of her shows at Madrid’s Estadio Santiago Bernabéu – or possibly a scorned ex.

A shadowed figure standing in the crowd of Taylor Swift's Madrid show

Multiple Swifties spotted a mysterious shadowed figure watching the show from an area inaccessible to the general audience, leaving many on social media speculating who it could have been.

Some jokingly suggested the mystery attendee was Kanye West , with who Taylor has had a longstanding feud after he interrupted her speech at the MTV VMAs after winning the best female video award.

Others suggested it could be her ex Joe Alwyn , with the couple splitting in 2023 and their break-up providing inspiration for her latest album, The Tortured Poet’s Department .

Scooter Braun was also among the suggested identities following his and Taylor’s widely-publicised dispute over the master files of the songs she produced with him under his company Big Machine Records.

‘That was billie eilish who couldn’t afford the ticket,’ X user Lustforlifestan cheekily jabbed, while Whiteh0tpeppers theorised: ‘Knowing Taylor Swift, she’s probably behind this and she’s teasing something.’

Taylor’s boyfriend Travis Kelce was thought by some to be the mystery figure, while others thought it had a more supernatural origin.

Lovingcmila may have solved the mystery, writing: ‘It was literally a security man, i was near to that section and he was standing there and checking on us all the time.’

UK fans will surely be keeping their eyes peeled for more strange sightings as the Lover songstress kicks of her latest stretch of the Eras Tour at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium.

It will kick off in  Edinburgh , where the megastar will take to the stage for three concerts over the weekend.

Taylor accidentally swallowing a bug

Bug-gate had Swifties in a chokehold after the singer accidentally swallowed an insect onstage in Chicago.

During the Evermore portion of her epic set, the star was snapped by fan  Catalina Garcia H  recoiling in horror before explaining her reaction by revealing she had eaten an insect.

‘I swallowed a bug, I’m so sorry,’ she laughed, while visibly cringing onstage.

‘Delicious,’ she joked, as the crowd roared with laughter while she tried to Shake It Off by repeatedly saying ‘it’s fine’ and ‘it’s just so stupid’ while attempting to spit out the bug.

‘Is there any chance none of you saw that?’ she asked the audience, before coughing a little more and admitting she swallowed the creepy crawly.

‘This is gonna happen again tonight,’ Taylor predicted. ‘There’s so many bugs. There’s 1,000 of them.’

The janitor cart theory actually being confirmed

A wild Taylor theory that she arrives backstage in a janitor’s cart was actually confirmed sending her fans into a frenzy.

https://www.instagram.com/reel/C3aU6XCPq23/?utm_source=ig_embed&ig_rid=b7529807-01ae-4804-a82d-2e28beebd8c0

Since the Eras Tour began, fans have been wondering how the singer secretly managed to slip backstage, with many suggesting she used a cleaning cart to enter venues incognito.

Well, this bizarre piece of trivia was confirmed in multiple social media posts as fans spotted the pop icon laying low in a caretaker’s cart while being pushed backstage.

Many implied that this seems to confirm the long-held theory among Swifties that Taylor is carried around in a suitcase – yes, really.

This began when a photo agency released a picture of several men carrying an enormous suitcase, which the agency said contained Taylor.

There has been no confirmation from Taylor that she was, in fact, in the suitcase, but many believe that it’s simply too bizarre to be false.

A couple got married in one of her crowds

There have been plenty of proposals during the Eras Tour, but one couple actually exchanged rings instead of friendship bracelets in the crowd.

@rene_hurtado Just Married 🥹 Story time coming soon! We are so tired from the excitement and are enjoying this time! @taylorswift @taylornation #glendaletstheerastour ♬ original sound – René Hurtado

René Hurtado and Max Bochman got married at Taylor’s Glendale, Arizona concert with the video of the nuptials instantly going viral on Tiktok.

How many couples can say Taylor Swift sang at their wedding?

‘I thought that was a good idea,’ René told Today . ‘I felt like, why not?’

She continued: ‘I died because I’m walking down the aisle to Invisible String and it was just so perfect.’

Storms of biblical proportions threatening shows

It wasn’t going to be sunny at every show – but some crowds had it worse than others with one of Taylor’s Sydney dates being battered by storms.

Taylor Swift fans in ponchos in the rain

In a post on X, Accor Stadium informed fans ahead of the show that start times had been delayed ‘due to  weather .’

It continued: ‘Stay undercover until further notice and follow venue screens and staff instructions.

‘Stay safe and remember to be kind to those around you.’

After around 80,000 fans piled into the venue ready to exchange friendship bracelets and dance the night away, at around 6pm – as Sabrina was due to begin her set at 6.20pm – those sitting on the floor and lower levels of the stadium were evacuated after lightning struck just 10 kilometres away.

After staff members rushed to mop up the water flooding the venue, fans returned to the venue ready for the show to get underway, but the  Sydney Herald  reported that support act Sabrina Carpenter would not be performing.

A baby was left on the floor in Paris

Swifties were left enraged after a baby was pictured lying on the floor of one of the star’s Paris shows.

A baby on the floor at Taylor Swift's Paris show.

After Paris’ La Defense arena revamp had fans in a frenzy, this quickly turned to shock and horror over spotting a very small attendee in the crowd.

In a picture posted to X, a baby was seen placed on the ground of the venue surrounded by a blanket and Swift merch.

The tot was thankfully wearing ear defenders in the sold-out crowd, but many fans aired their concern that they were lying down and could go unnoticed among the 45,000 screaming fans at the show.

A spokesperson for the La Défense Arena told Page Six that the ‘general terms and conditions of sale stipulate that all minors (without any age limit) holding a ticket for a concert at Paris La Défense arena must be accompanied by an adult.

‘Under 18 children remain under their legal guardian responsibility, it’s venue policy. For spectators with a young child in the floor, an alternative seating arrangement has been proposed but refused by ticket holders.’

There is technically nothing prohibiting a parent from bringing their baby along, although the website notes it’s unwise for those under four.

Keith Urban accidentally outing Bo Burnham and Phoebe Bridger’s rumoured relationship

There have been plenty of celebrity guests at the Eras tour, from Selena Gomez to Emma Stone, Shania Twain, and Emma Watson.

During Taylor’s Philadelphia show, Keith Urban and his wife Nicole Kidman were dancing along to the songs – and accidentally caught Bo Burnham and Phoebe Bridgers kissing in the background of a video.

@keithurban we love ya @Taylor Swift 🫶 #erastour ♬ Style – Taylor Swift

After posting the clip to social media, Keith apologies for accidentally hard-launching the couple’s romance, admitting that he felt ‘awkward.’

‘Phoebe, I’m so sorry,’ he told Entertainment Tonight. ‘It felt very awkward. I felt bad. I was just digging on the concert! You never know what’s gonna happen.’

Phoebe had been linked to Bo since 2022 following her breakup with Paul Mescal.

Comedian Bo previously dated Lorene Scafaria for more than a decade until they reportedly split in 2022.

Taylor-ception

Among the celebrity guests on the Eras Tour was Taylor’s ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner , who joined her onstage at her Kansas City show.

resley Cash, Taylor Swift, Joey King and Taylor Lautner speak onstage

There was clearly no Bad Blood between the former couple, despite Taylor  re-releasing Speak Now , which is thought to  include songs about their romance .

Taylor (Lautner) even showered his former girlfriend with praise, telling the audience: ‘I just wanna say one thing quick – I respect you so much, not for the singer you are, the songwriter, the performer, but truly for the human you are.’

And there was another Taylor in the mix as Twitter users had also captured Taylor’s wife Taylor at Taylor’s concert.

Taylor (Lautner)  married Taylor (Dome) , who is a nurse-turned-influencer, in 2022. In the tale of three Taylors, the trio hung out backstage with Taylor (Lautner) posting on Instagram a picture of them recreating the iconic Spiderman meme.

Travis Kelce shooting his shot – and succeeding

After announcing her split from Joe, fans were quick to speculate who Taylor’s next partner would be.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce kissing

She was rumoured to be dating The 1975 singer Matty Healy during the Eras Tour, but has since confirmed her relationship with American football legend Travis Kelce .

In fact, it was this very tour that brought the adorable couple together as he attempted to give Taylor his mobile number via a friendship bracelet. He really knows his Swiftie lore.

In a new episode of his New Heights  podcast , the athlete opened up about trying to meet the Grammy-winner backstage, but it didn’t quite go to plan.

‘I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,’  he told his brother, Jason Kelce .

https://www.instagram.com/reel/CvKYmMqgLSk/?utm_source=ig_embed&ig_rid=b8205ac0-fbfb-42a2-8800-0588f433d23d

‘I was a little butthurt that I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.

‘If you’re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelets, and I received a bunch of them being there, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it.’

When asked to clarify if he meant his jersey number or his phone number, Travis coyly replied: ‘You know… She doesn’t meet anybody, or at least she didn’t want to meet me, so I took it personal.’

However, their Love Story had a happy ending with his mentioning her on the podcast prompting the two to hang out, and eventually a romance blossomed .

A mysterious, shadowy figure appeared at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour show in Madrid, sparking a swarm of wild conspiracy theories about Travis Kelce, Joe Alwyn and more.

The spooky silhouette was spotted watching the three-hour concert from a high point at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium at the end of May.

Several Swifties flooded social media with theories and jokes about what the ghostlike apparition could be after a video of it surfaced on TikTok earlier this week.

A shadowy figure

“I think that’s Travis kelce,” one person wrote on X of the “Cruel Summer” singer’s boyfriend.

“Literally, just Travis,” a second agreed of the towering outline.

Others, however, were convinced that the shadow belonged to Alwyn, whom Swift dated for six years until their breakup in early 2023.

“Joe Alwyn hiding in the rafters,” one fan joked.

“Joe alwyn what are you doing there,” another fan inquired, with a netizen adding, “Must be one of her exes .”

“Its matty healy actually,” one social media user wrote of the 1975 frontman, with whom Swift had a fling before beginning her serious relationship with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end last summer.

Another supporter suggested that the shadow could be Swift’s nemesis Scooter Braun, who infamously bought the masters of her music catalog in 2019, prompting her to re-release her first six albums as “(Taylor’s Version)” to reclaim ownership of her work.

“Scooter still harassing her i see,” the fan commented.

Other hilarious guesses included Jesus, Slender Man, Spider-Man or just an “alien having a good time.”

“Thats just batman without his costume vibing,” another person wrote.

“Dancing phantoms on the terrace,” someone chimed in, quoting a lyric from Swift’s song “LOML.”

“I wouldnt be surprised if this was Kanye,” a social media user joked of the “Lover” singer’s other nemesis, Kanye West.

“Someone who doesn’t have to pay for tickets,” another quipped of the pricey shows.

While many fans were left dumbfounded by the “creepy” creature, others said the shadow was likely someone who worked at the stadium.

“The ‘mysterious figure’ just being a human,” an X user wrote.

“it was literally a security man, i was near to that section and he was standing there and checking on us all the time,” another witness claimed.

“It could be the tech people that does the lights and stuff,” another offered.

“It’s called a worker,” one more agreed.

Swift has been traveling the globe on her blockbuster tour since May 2023. She is set to perform at Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, Scotland, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Well that's all from us tonight, thank you for following along.

If you are heading back from Murrayfield Stadium, get home safe, and if you're already in bed, have a good sleep.

Rest those vocal cords Swifties - Tay Tay will be back tomorrow.

Sadly, the show has come to an end.

Taylor Swift fans will definitely be hoarse tomorrow after constantly singing, cheering and shouting for more than three hours.

Before we close our live coverage, here's a look at some of the best pictures from tonight's concert...

By Katie Spencer , arts and entertainment correspondent at Murrayfield Stadium

Taylor Swift has smashed a triumphant set in front of enormous crowds in Edinburgh on her record-breaking Eras tour, telling fans it was "the wildest way to welcome a lass".

As she welcomed the crowd, she announced it was officially the highest attended stadium show in Scottish history.

"Oh hi," she casually told the more than 70,000 people who came to see her perform.

The 34-year-old star initially took to the stage in a diamante encrusted corseted leotard and bejewelled cowboy boots.

She later admitted: "This tour has been the most fun I've had in my entire life….my one regret now is that I really should have come to perform in Scotland more.

"I can't stop staring at you, I'm captivated by this audience."

Blasting through her biggest hits in a set of 40+ songs, on stage for more than three hours, she promised to take fans on a "grand adventure" they'd never forget. She certainly did that.

"After tonight, you're going to think about us and the memories we made," she promised.

The evening was "unforgettable", she told the crowd, while her last song of the night, Karma, was dedicated to the crowd.

"Edinburgh you have given us everything you could possibly give us tonight."

It was a pinch yourself evening for Swifties fortunate enough to get a ticket. Lyrics memorised, costumes perfected.

The show a musical marathon which demonstrated not only why Swift is arguably one of the greatest songwriters of modern pop music but also one of the world's most accomplished performers.

The show itself, paced perfectly to hold the audience's interest with slick dance routines and theatrical, at times fantastical, staging.

The screams of support for her most famous hits were deafening. Countless fans leaving Murrayfield hoarse after she told the story of her eight Eras whilst delivering the ultimate singalong.

This was a long day for many, a hardened few sat outside since dawn to be among the first in-line to secure a front row spot.

"Anything's worth it for Taylor," Julia had told me at 7am outside the stadium. Her friend admitting she'd "sell my kidneys, probably both lungs" to get close to the star.

Why does she elicit such a reaction? Despite her billionaire status, Swift has somehow remained an artist whose voice remains real, authentic and honest.

Her songwriting - a shared diary of sorts - resonating all the more for her openness about her flaws, bad break-ups, sharing with fans not only the joy of falling in love, but the heartbreak.

The crowd at Murrayfield were word-perfect for her hits like You Belong With Me, the stadium echoing with noise during We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together

If performing songs from her Tortured Poets Department Era - her latest album written about her ill-fated London loves - took on more poignancy for Swift this being the UK leg of her tour, she gave no indication on stage.

An all but faultless performance but for the acoustic section of her show, where the star was forced to briefly stop playing the guitar, saying: "My hand has frozen in a weird cramp... this is so embarrassing... its like performing with a claw. No one relates."

While it's understandable that many balk at the stupidly expensive price of some VIP packages, few could question Taylor's commitment to offering her fans the ultimate experience. The confetti canons and fireworks, a needless distraction really from what she does best - singing out.

A one-woman economy boosting machine, Swift's 15 UK shows are projected by some to boost the UK economy by almost £1bn with fans shelling out, not only on tickets, but accommodation, travel, and pre-show parties.

I spoke to people who travelled here from Spain, The Netherlands, America, India and even Australia.

Fans who'd spent months planning their costumes, painstakingly threading bracelets, embroidering jackets, which is undoubtedly half the fun.

While this level of pop obsession is nothing new, that one artist can still achieve this in an age where we are swamped with musical choice speaks volumes as to the power of Swift's music.

Forget about politicians touring the country, Taylor Swift's whereabouts will be what's dominating the national conversation for vast swathes of the country over the next month.

While some may scoff at the tweeness of swapping friendship bracelets, dressing-up and glitter - there is a delightfulness to being a part of the Swift crowd which is a warm and welcoming world.

Swift's proving herself to be, not only a prolific songwriter, but the ultimate showwoman.

That's it Swifties, the first UK Eras tour show has come to an end.

Taylor Swift closed Murrayfield Stadium with a huge confetti cannon display as she performed Karma for her adoring fans.

The superstar has been performing for more than three hours and the crowd has spent that time cheering, clapping and singing their hearts out.

She will be back at the stadium for another show tomorrow night, and the night after, being moving on to Anfield Stadium in Liverpool.

Rewinding slightly to the start of the show, here's the moment Taylor Swift spoke to her fans in Edinburgh during her opening act.

The superstar welcomed them to the Eras tour, telling them the last time she was in Scotland was more than a decade ago.

"Tonight's concert is the most highly attended show in Scottish history," she said.

"This is the wildest way to welcome a lass to your city."

Murrayfield Stadium was lit up by fans during Taylor Swift's performance of Daylight from her Lover album.

Thousands of fans held up their glowing bracelets and phones during the song.

Here's a clip...

The show is almost coming to an end and Swift is going out in her Midnights era.

She kicks off with a rendition of Lavender Haze, emerging on the stage in a faux fur purple coat and black knee-high boots.

Taylor has moved to her acoustic section now - a moment fans have been waiting for.

This is the time the superstar performs two surprise tracks, which change at every show.

Many had thought she might pick Castles Crumbling from Speak Now as a reference to Edinburgh Castle.

But as she begins the set, with Would've Should've Could've from Midnights, she is forced to briefly stop playing her guitar.

"My hand has frozen in a weird cramp…this is so embarrassing….its like performing with a claw," she tells the crowd.

"No one relates."

A baker has created a Swift-themed cake to celebrate the star's arrival and is hoping it makes it to her.

Cathryn Klawikowska, 34, took eight hours to bake the nine-layer red velvet treat.

Edyta Matysiak took three days to make the figurine.

Ms Klawikowska, head designer at 3D Cakes near Murrayfield, hopes it will end up backstage at the stadium.

She added: "I'm hoping to get this to Taylor though."

Swift turns now to her latest album - the Tortured Poets Department.

She kicks off the era with But Daddy I Love Him and comes out wearing a gorgeous white gown covered in lyrics.

"I love you, it's ruining my life" can be seen across it - lyrics from her biggest hit of the album Fortnight.

Why is Ohio suing Ticketmaster and Live Nation and what does it have to do with Taylor Swift?

tickets eras tour madrid

Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost and attorneys general from 29 other states joined the U.S. Department of Justice in suing Ticketmaster and Live Nation in May, alleging they monopolize live events.

Live Nation, which generates $22 billion annually, owns and controls 265 concert venues in the U.S., including 60 of the country's top 100 locations, according to the Department of Justice.

The company, along with their fully owned subsidiary Ticketmaster—the nation's largest ticket vendor — are accused of using illegal business practices to threaten competitors with retaliation, locking venues into long exclusive contracts, buying competitors, punishing artists that don't use their promotion services with lost access to venues and more, according to DOJ .

“Ohioans deserve transparency, fair prices and vibrant competition. This lawsuit is a critical step toward dismantling the stranglehold that Live Nation and Ticketmaster have on the market and ensuring that consumers and businesses are no longer at their mercy," Yost wrote in a May 23 press release published the day the DOJ lawsuit was announced.

The result of these illegal practices are increased ticket prices and fees for consumers and a monopolistic, outdated live concert industry that harms performers and venues, according to DOJ.

What does Taylor Swift have to do with Ticketmaster?

She didn't cause the lawsuit, but she drew a lot of attention to Ticketmaster's business practices in late 2022.

In November 2022, a verified fan presale for tickets to Taylor Swift's "Eras" tour faced major delays and errors in the queue to purchase tickets, USA Today previously reported .

The November 15 presale, which was supposed to only let in 1.5 million verified fans actually let in 14 million users which included bots.

Two million tickets were sold that day, forcing a Capitol One cardholders presale to be pushed back to November 16 while Ticketmaster cancelled general public ticket sales originally scheduled for November 18.

This caused tickets for the tour to balloon in price, sometimes exceeding $10,000 on third-party websites.

The controversy drew swift condemnation from politicians who called for the Department of Justice to investigate the company. Following the public outcry, The New York Times revealed a few days later that the DOJ was already investigating the company before the Taylor Swift ticket fiasco.
