Adam was a fabulous guide. And the dolphins came out to play. It was a beautiful night on the Chesapeake A good time was had by all, I highly recommend

We were a party of four that included a child, non swimmer & inexperienced kayakers…but it was amazing! We had a perfect condition weather wise (partly cloudy, calm ocean & not windy). We took a 5:30 tour & it was perfect..we spotted dolphins for about an hour or so! Our 3 guides were great & definitely experienced. Watching dolphins in the ocean (without any baits offered) was worth for us

Very relaxing to just be on the water and was an extra bonus to see dolphins including babies. Location and guides were great. Was nice they took photo of us on the water so we could just enjoy the evening.

This was amazing. The guides were great and educated us on the ecology of the the area and some history of the surroundings. The weather was great and seeing the dolphins was breathtaking to be that close to them. Would recommend this to all visitors. Thank you!

Can’t say enough good things about this experience. Everyone rates it a top outing for any vacation, ever. Matt answered questions wonderfully, both a few weeks out (about a non swimmer, anxious child and weight limits) and then the day before as we had an illness come up and he was so helpful working that out. Then, the tour was so special!!! Great bunch of guys, friendly, putting everyone at ease, genuinely seem to love their jobs, made a group of 20 double kayaks seem intimate. And then, we had dozens of dolphin sightings. Literally almost constant, within a few feet of the kayaks. Truly an unbelievable experience. Thanks to Brody, Troy and Nate and a couple others. Really grateful we got to join them.

These guys were knowledgeable, friendly, organized, and fun. The trip was relaxing and saw tons of dolphin. Being a local I will highly recommend him to anyone and everyone. Awesome time.

We had a great time with our guides David and Carson. They were smart with the course we took knowing the tide was coming in so we went toward the ocean to start and allowed the current to help us back to landing. Seeing the dolphins at play and so close up was incredible. This is a workout and if the waves are out and you get motion sickness you will notice it. Prepare accordinly

Matt and I share a love of the outdoors and teaching others to enjoy it and have worked together for large groups and small because our common goal is to serve our guests and meet their needs.

We could not ask for anyone better than Chesapean to care for our guests. They operate very similar trips as we do and have a very successful summer camp at First Landing State Park. We are thrilled to turn our operation over to such capable wonderful people

Kayak Nature Tours is a highly recognized outfitter in the Hampton Roads area and has been in operation since 1996. We offer a wide variety of kayaking tours throughout various waterways and our tours are specifically planned and designed to give our customers a truly educational, exciting and memorable adventure.  From our remote, tranquil tours of the Eastern Shore to our Dolphin adventure tours into the Atlantic Ocean, we offer something for everyone. No previous paddling experience is necessary.

Kayak Nature Tours is proud to be a “Virginia Green” business and is recognized as such on the Virginia Beach City and Virginia State web sites. We are also the outfitter of choice for the Norfolk Botanical Gardens’ sunset tours. We have been featured in such publications as Southern Living, The Virginian Pilot, Portfolio Magazine, Link Magazine, The Richmond-Times Dispatch along with several others.  Kayak Nature Tours Ltd. is recommended by many major travel guides such as Frommers and Lonely Planet and on sites such as Trip Advisor.

We are longtime members of the Paddlesports Industry Association, the American Canoe Association, and the Virginia Professional Paddlesports Association. Kayak Nature tours is proud to have been chosen to participate in  Old Dominion University’s Internship program where students majoring in Recreation/Tourism spend a semester with us learning all aspects of running an outdoor recreational business.
