SPILL THE FEELS | SEVENTEEN’s world tour in Asia, Disney+ concert film elicit euphoric reaction from CARATs

  • 5 minute read

CARATs were in a frenzy last Wednesday, September 25, as PLEDIS Entertainment dropped the much-awaited announcement for SEVENTEEN’s Asia tour dates. The excitement was palpable as fans eagerly awaited the news, and into a downward spiral — but more of that later.

The tour will kick off in Bulacan, Philippines, with two shows scheduled on January 18th and 19th. Following the Philippine leg, the group will head to Singapore, Jakarta, and Bangkok.

CARATs across Asia are counting the days to see their favorite boy group live in action.

The electric memories of the Follow Tour

The moment I read the announcement for SEVENTEEN’s Asia tour next year, I was flooded with memories of their previous concert . The jitters, the joy, the excitement – it all came rushing back. I could vividly recall the anticipation of securing tickets, the overwhelming joy of success, and the unforgettable experience of seeing them live.

A swirl of memories rushed through me as I recalled the details of their last concert. The highlight would be them saying in Tagalog that they’ll come back for Filipino CARATs (and to eat our meals? If that’s not saying I love you indirectly, I don’t know what is). It was a heartwarming gesture that made us feel truly appreciated.

The last concert was a picture-esque day in every way. The weather was ideal, with clear skies and a gentle January breeze. It was as if everything had aligned perfectly for us to meet our favorite best boys.

As I look forward to this upcoming tour, I can’t help but hope that it will surpass the incredible experience we had during the FOLLOW tour. SEVENTEEN and CARATs are each other’s Headliners, so no matter what happens — it will still be a great day.

What I’m most excited about would be the setlist, since SEVENTEEN will be having a comeback in October, my theory is some of their new songs will be in next year’s setlist. (But I wish some of their “older” songs were in the setlist too). I’m looking forward to what the stage will look like, and will there be another festival like the last tour?

Let’s see how it goes!

Whirlwind of Emotions

Another surprise was in store for CARATs. While many expected LiveNation to handle the tour, it was actually Applewood, a relatively new company specializing in “hosting performances and fan meetings by Korean artists in major cities across Asia” that would be taking the reins. Since further updates are needed to know for ticketing, where it will be held, and what the seating arrangement will be, CARATs have their speculations and requests:

  • Sana Stadium ulit (I hope it’s in the Stadium again)
  • Seated VIP please!
  • The ticket selling will most likely be on the first week of November again — Make it first week of December, please
  • Applewood handled their last concert in Bangkok — hope everything goes well in Bulacan, too.

There were also emotional reactions from fans who were still grappling with the recent announcement of Jeonghan’s mandatory military service (scheduled Thursday, September 26):

  • Bakit niyo kami lalapagan ng tour dates? 😭 (Why did you drop tour dates at us)
  • #WALANGPASOK dahil papasok na si Jeonghan sa military (#NOCLASSES because of Jeonghan’s enlistment)
  • Seungkwan, please don’t freak out if you see your name in the trending list today (Note: CARATs say his name three times to manifest getting tickets because in one episode of GOING SEVENTEEN, Seungkwan said, “Say Seungkwan’s name three times to make your wish come true. Boo Seungkwan, Boo Seungkwan, Boo Seungkwan”)
  • Me rn telling myself its okay Jeonghan’s gonna come back soon, two years will go by so fast, he can still come to SVT concerts, he can still communicate with us, he’s just living as civilian Yoon Jeonghan for two years and not SEVENTEEN Jeonghan for a while
  • OO NA ETO NA SEVENTEEN, MAG-IIPON NA
  • PLEDIS BAKIT NGAYON KA LANG NAGLABAS NG ASIA TOUR DATES KUNG KELAN UBOS NA PERA KO (Note: And I say, I second the motion 😭)
  • I JUST REALIZED.. SINCE WE’RE THE FIRST IN THEIR ASIA TOUR STOPS, WE DON’T HAVE SPOILERS FOR THEIR SETLIST IN ASIA
  • SEVENTEEN Concert Essentials: Me inside the concert grounds

This tour would be the second time 2 members of the group won’t be present (the last tour, FOLLOW, leader S.Coups, and Jeonghan weren’t present due to health concerns). This time, members Jun and Jeonghan won’t be present. It’s bittersweet, but as Jeonghan said, “You’re supposed to wait endlessly for people you like”.

However, the anticipation for the tour remains high, and fans are eager to see the remaining members perform.

Relive the Follow Tour while waiting for ticketing announcements

Starting October 17th, CARATs can relive the unforgettable experience of SEVENTEEN’s FOLLOW AGAIN tour through the group’s concert film, available exclusively on Disney+.

Many fans, including myself, had the opportunity to watch the film on the big screen last August 25th and were transported back to the electrifying energy of the live concert. The encore show featured new songs from their recent comeback, including the hit “MAESTRO” and captivating unit performances by the Hiphop (“LALALI), Performance (“Spell”), and Vocal (“Cheers to Youth”) Units.

Filmed from multiple angles during the FOLLOW Again Tour in Seoul’s World Cup Stadium, the concert film showcases the stunning visuals of the performance, especially as the sun sets and the stadium is filled with a sea of swaying lightsticks.

image002

While the upcoming tour might be bittersweet due to the absence of Jun and Jeonghan, the remaining members are sure to deliver unforgettable performances. As CARATs prepare for the tour, they can anticipate new surprises and experiences.

So, while waiting for SEVENTEEN RIGHT HERE tickets, let’s gather our CARATBONGs and get ready to relive SEVENTEEN’s FOLLOW tour on Disney+ starting October 17th.

As a multi-stan, Disney+ is also a K-pop fan’s paradise . In addition to SEVENTEEN’s concert film, you can find a wealth of BTS content. (Perfect for ARMYs who can’t watch the boys live — Philippines when?)

You can relive BTS’ first ten years in the business with BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star , enjoy their electrifying performance in BTS: PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE — LA , get a glimpse into Suga’s creative process in SUGA: Road to D-Day, and discover J-Hope’s journey to creating his solo album in j-hope IN THE BOX .

With Disney+ giving us titles such as the ones mentioned, let’s just hope they include this upcoming tour, and BTS’ comeback next year. (Hey, an ARMYCARAT can dream!)

But that’s not all. Next month will also see the release of Spill The Feels , SEVENTEEN’s 12 th mini album giving CARATs yet another reason to wax euphoric. Pre-orders for the much anticipated release began as early as September 13 and the album comes in several variant packages, each one a collector’s item for true blue fans.

CARATs’ Reasons for Their Smile

SEVENTEEN’s upcoming Asia tour is a long-awaited event for CARATs in the Philippines. The group’s previous concert, FOLLOW, left an unforgettable impression, and fans are eagerly anticipating what this new tour has in store. With two shows scheduled in Bulacan, the Philippines will have a unique opportunity to experience the group’s electrifying performances.

This tour is slotted to be a celebration of SEVENTEEN’s music, their connection with fans, and the enduring spirit of CARATs worldwide. Get ready for a night (or two nights if you’re going on both dates) of unforgettable memories as SEVENTEEN takes the stage in the Philippines.

Bulacan will be rose quartz and serenity again soon, CARATs!

Recent tour reviews

Seether never disappoints, just one hit after another. Rock solid performance.

The venue itself was unfavorable, no seating availabe at all. It was extremely hot and very hard to get shade. Re entry was 10 bucks thats not even fair to ask people to stand 10 hours without being able to go out to rest in their vehicles. Smoking everywhere not confined to one area. And there was a definate need for trash cans!!!!

This was my first concert with Seether and I really enjoyed it. The Huxleys in Berlin is a very cool location. An old theater with much space to mosh and jump.

The opening act with Sons Of Texas was absolutely awesome. Combining metal and the slap bass was just pleasing my ears. Great songs and the power of the band was an amazing opener.

The second opening act didn't even introduced themselves. They were not bad, but after Sons Of Texas their style was more chilly than metal. Kind of a bummer when you we're heated uo by a nice slap bass and frenzy riffs. The effect-tool they used was in one song way to much. The sound technician should have catched that and ease out some highs. They also played metal, but later. It was still good.

Seether was great act. I love the band and their songs. Singing at the top of my lungs and having little left of my voice afterwards, isn't worth mentioning. Seether played some great tracks. The new stuff, classics and was rocking the hall. Even though they hadn't played Careless Whisper, but Broken was stunning. The singer Made a lot pauses between the songs, talking to someone and drinking stuff. That time added up would have been two extra songs. Also the sound technician was probably dozing or staring at girl in the crowd, but he modulated it a bit too much. Also he failed the mics sometimes. You couldn't hear the singer or just barely. Nevertheless, I would go again!

Well the actual show was fantastic. As for the band making a connection with the audience they sucked. They never said Hello Dallas or anything. Not even an encore. The lead singer did say thank you once after a song but that was it. No Glad to see Dallas NOTHING! Was very disappointed in the way they treated us. They played and got off the stage. As for the performance they were robots just playi8ng the song list and get off the stage. This was the 2nd concert for seeing Seether and I don't think I will go see them again.

Exclusive: These are the international cities Oasis will be playing on their 2025 reunion tour

Be Here Now: the Gallaghers are heading to the US, Canada, South America, Asia and Australia

NME can exclusively reveal the cities that Oasis will be playing on their upcoming 2025 reunion tour.

  • READ MORE: Stand by me: all the players who could be in the Oasis line-up in 2025

The Britpop heroes first announced their long-awaited reunion last month , with a long string of gigs in the UK and Ireland. They stated that these would be their only shows in Europe, but vowed that – while they will not be playing any festivals next year – other headline dates around the world were planned .

Now, with the announcement believed to be in the coming week or so, sources close to the tour have revealed to NME the locations that the Live ’25 tour will supposedly visit next year – with Liam and Noel Gallagher heading to the US, South America, Asia and Australia. Check out the list here:

Toronto, Canada        Chicago, US East Rutherford, New Jersey, US   Boston, US Los Angeles, US      Mexico City, Mexico Seoul, South Korea Tokyo, Japan Melbourne, Australia Sydney, Australia Sao Paulo, Brazil   Santiago, Chile    Buenos Aires, Argentina

The exact venues, dates and ticket sale details will be announced soon.

The initial run of dates sparked controversy after fans experienced long queues and technical difficulties in the scramble for tickets , along with a large number of tickets being presented and sold to them at inflated prices due to “dynamic” surge pricing . In response, Oasis provided “a small step towards making amends for the situation” and announced two extra Wembley Stadium dates that were sold in staggered batches via invite-only ballot. They also said that they themselves “at no time had any awareness that dynamic pricing was going to be used” .

Recommended

“It needs to be made clear that Oasis leave decisions on ticketing and pricing entirely to their promoters and management, and at no time had any awareness that dynamic pricing was going to be used,” they said in a statement.

“While prior meetings between promoters, Ticketmaster and the band’s management resulted in a positive ticket sale strategy, which would be a fair experience for fans, including dynamic ticketing to help keep general ticket prices down as well as reduce touting, the execution of the plan failed to meet expectations. All parties involved did their utmost to deliver the best possible fan experience, but due to the unprecedented demand this became impossible to achieve.”

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has since launched an investigation into the practice of dynamic pricing .

Speculation also surrounds who’ll be in the reunited Oasis line-up alongside Liam and Noel Gallagher , with original guitarist Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs reportedly coming along for the tour dates, with other rumoured members including guitarist Gem Archer and bassist Andy Bell. Drummer Alan White also sparked rumours on his social media, but NME is led to believe he will not be part of the line-up. Liam has since teased that the line-up could feature “a few new faces “.

As well as speculating over who’ll be joining Liam and Noel on stage at the huge gigs , fans have been discussing potential support acts – with the likes of Blossoms , Kasabian and Richard Ashcroft among those being mentioned. Earlier this month, it was reported that Liam was seeking “established acts” to open for Oasis in 2025, but it currently looks unlikely to be Suede or Fontaines D.C. with the frontman hitting out at both bands online.

Liam and Noel have not performed together since Oasis’ acrimonious split in 2009 , following an “altercation” between the pair at Paris’ Rock en Seine festival, just hours before their headline appearance.

Following on from his victorious Reading 2024 headline set , last weekend saw Liam perform Oasis classics ahead of the Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois boxing match at Wembley Stadium, before hitting out at “SHITC**T” critics who complained online about the sound his vocals . He then bid farewell to his band as he played his last scheduled solo show in Malta.

Overall, planning a trip between October and March maximizes comfort and enjoyment while exploring Asia.

How Do Seasons Affect Travel Plans in Asia?

Seasons significantly impact travel plans in Asia by influencing weather conditions, local festivals, and tourist crowds across different regions.

Weather conditions play a crucial role in determining the best times for travel. In general, Asia experiences distinct seasons: – Dry season: Often considered the best time to visit countries like Thailand and India. For example, the Indian monsoon runs from June to September, leading to flooding in certain areas. – Winter: Northern Asia, including destinations like Japan and China, experiences cold temperatures and snowfall, drawing winter sports enthusiasts. The ski season runs from December to February in these regions.

Local festivals usually coincide with specific seasons and can be both an attraction and a hindrance: – Spring festivals: Tet in Vietnam and Holi in India celebrate the new season with vibrant celebrations. Travelers may want to plan visits to experience these cultural events. – Summer festivals: Events like Gion Matsuri in Japan and Obon in Japan occur during summer. These festivals attract large crowds, and accommodation may be scarce. – Autumn festivals: The Moon Festival in China highlights the harvest season. This can be a peak travel time due to increased interest in traditional celebrations.

Tourist crowds also fluctuate with the seasons, impacting pricing and availability: – Peak season: High-demand months like December to February in tropical areas often lead to higher prices for flights and accommodations due to increased tourist influx. – Off-peak season: Traveling during the rainy or colder months may result in lower prices and fewer tourists, offering a more peaceful experience.

Considering these factors can help travelers make informed decisions about when to visit Asia, ensuring they enjoy the best weather, cultural experiences, and travel rates.

Buses : Buses serve urban and rural areas alike. In cities like Bangkok and Jakarta, local buses can be a cost-effective choice. Long-distance buses facilitate travel between cities, often at lower costs compared to trains. For example, the intercity bus services in Vietnam connect major tourism hotspots.

Rickshaws and Tuk-Tuks : In countries like India and Thailand, these vehicles offer a unique and efficient way to navigate short distances. They provide an intimate view of local life while being quick in traffic-congested areas.

Ridesharing services are widely available and tend to be safer and more convenient than hailing a cab on the street. Services like Grab and Gojek operate in multiple Southeast Asian countries, and they often provide options for private cars, motorcycles, or shared rides, making them flexible for different budgets and group sizes.

Domestic flights are essential for traveling between regions or countries in Asia. They are often the fastest way to cover long distances. For example, low-cost airlines like AirAsia or Scoot offer competitive pricing for flights across Southeast Asia.

Travelers should also consider regional trains. Countries such as Japan offer advanced rail systems like the Shinkansen (bullet trains) that provide comfortable and timely travel between cities. This network lowers travel time significantly, such as traveling from Tokyo to Osaka in about 2.5 hours.

Understanding local transport etiquette is crucial. For instance, in Japan, people form lines and wait patiently for trains. Learning a few local phrases or using translation apps can ease communication.

Domestic flights save time on long journeys, especially in countries with large land areas or extensive travel times by road. For instance, flying from Bangkok to Chiang Mai is much faster than driving. When schedules are tight, flights allow you to maximize your time at destinations. If you need to travel to regional areas with fewer road connections, flights can provide direct access. In addition, consider flights when weather conditions can impede ground travel or when safety concerns exist for long-distance bus or car travel. Each of these reasons connects directly to the need for efficiency and accessibility in Asia’s diverse landscapes.

Integrate urban outdoor spaces: Seek urban parks, botanical gardens, or waterfront areas where city dwellers interact with nature without leaving the city. These spots allow for relaxation and informal recreation. Research indicates that urban green spaces contribute to improved mental health (Kuo, 2015).

Engage in activities that connect both worlds: Participate in guided city tours that include nature elements, such as bike tours or walking tours in botanical gardens. Engage in recreational activities like outdoor yoga or urban hiking. According to the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), such multifaceted approaches attract a diverse audience and enrich travel experiences.
