road trip columbus ohio to washington dc

What route are you taking? I-70 east into PA and then down to DC? Or do you have another route planned?

We haven't decided our final route yet--we're willing to detour if something is worth it. I just know our final destination is Rosslyn, preferably avoiding DC traffic.

road trip columbus ohio to washington dc

I recommend taking I-79 south at Washington, PA and then I-68 East near Morgantown, WVa for an easier, less traffic way of getting to the DC area. You will get back on I=70 at Hancock, MD using that route.

Two good stops would be Harpers Ferry National Historic Park in Harpers Ferry, WV and Antietam National Battlefield in Sharpsburg, MD. Both are very scenic and historic and would be great stops along the way.
