Orden Ogan unleash title track music video and launch “The Order Of Fear” pre-orders and announce exclusive album release shows

Listen up and stand in awe as the title track of the new  ORDEN OGAN  album,  “The Order Of Fear,”  is finally ready to take over the metal world! In addition, the German power metallers are excited to share further details on their much anticipated new record which will see the light of day on July 5, 2024, through  Reigning Phoenix Music (RPM) . Graced by another brilliant  Dan Goldsworthy  artwork with layout duties handled by  Tim Eckhorst , the band’s very own vocalist,  Sebastian “Seeb” Levermann , took care of the eleven new tracks’ mixing and mastering at his own Greenman Studios. The album continues their career-defining saga of  Alister Vale  in a spectacular but also grandly dark way while marking a new era for the group. Promised to be a  “clearly downscaled, more metal and to the point”  according to Seeb , the second appetizer from  “The Order Of Fear,”  its title track, shows that  ORDEN OGAN  aren’t a band of empty words and delivers a powerful, straight forward, and highly melodic piece of heavy metal, including a larger than life trademark chorus.

They claim to be able to help him, luring him to their residence, and tell him that the only way of getting rid of his curse was to do something even more cruel than what was done to him: shedding the blood of one true friend in the moonlight. A philosophical question: What weighs more? The death of many or the death of one? But there’s always two layers when it cames to  ORDEN OGAN  lyrics: On one hand, they tell the story of  Alister Vale , an undying character spreading death and sorrow; on the other hand, they appeal to humans who fight anxiety and depression and tell them that they’re not alone. Simply put:  ‘My Worst Enemy’  deals with being one own’s worst enemy most of the time by being trapped in negative thoughts and making the same mistakes over and over again.

“Seeb”  concludes,  “I’ve been thinking of this track for years, and I always wanted to record it. Now I’m glad that it finally found its way out of my head.”

Reigning Pheonix Music [Release date 05.07.24]

Album number eight by the power metal veterans Orden Ogan (well, they have been around since 1997 under the Orden Ogan name!) and their first for their new record label, Reigning Phoenix Music.

Mainman Sebastian “Seeb” Levermann relates the interesting story behind this album, in that the band had hit a musical writer’s block and not sure how to proceed with the album. Then a hardcore fan from Uruguay caught the band’s attention via his cover versions of Orden Ogan tunes. They made contact with him, decided they hit it off, decided to start songwriting with him and voila we have this album!

The story of Vale and the monks of Ravenhead continues through the course of the album, although you don’t have to know the backstory from the previous albums, as the songs have all the classic power metal tropes from massed choral parts through to guitar solos that shred.

Plenty of memorable power metal tunes to enjoy including ‘Moon Fire’ and the title track. Orden Ogan get that mix of metal and melody spot on and the shorter song structure seems to suit them better.

‘My Own Worst Enemy’ is a powerful ballad, that builds to a pomptastic ending! The sort of song where this band really come into their own.

The two epics lie at the end of the album, namely ‘Anthem to the Darkside’ and ‘The Long Darkness’. Both have a grand cinematic style, although the shorter, concise songs on the album make it that extra bit special.

Must admit not paying much attention to their albums since 2017′s rather good ‘Gunmen’, however, the Orden Ogan I loved back then is back on full power. One of their heaviest, yet still melodic, metal albums to date and all the better for it. ****

‘My Worst Enemy’ is a special pick as first single from »The Order Of Fear« since ballads aren’t the usual way to evoke excitement for a new record, but it’s a world-class song, tells the beginning of the album story and additionally deals with a sensitive topic. Like many other ORDEN OGAN songs, it also has two layers when it comes to lyrics: On one hand, ‘My Worst Enemy’ features Alister Vale , an undying character spreading death and sorrow, which has been accompanying the band’s work since their early days; on the other hand, the track appeals to humans who fight with inner demons. ORDEN OGAN Announce Gunmen Tour With Special Guests RHAPSODY OF FIRE

The German melodic power metal institution Orden Ogan will embark on their next headlining European tour this October and November. With them on the road: their new studio record Gunmen and the special guests Rhapsody Of Fire.

Orden Ogan, Germany’s premier power metallers, have exceeded themselves with their new (5th) studio album, titled Gunmen (out July 7th via AFM Records). Undoubtedly, the band has delivered their heaviest but at the same time also most melodic piece of work. With their latest studio album Ravenhead (2015), Orden Ogan toured Europe supporting HammerFall and later Powerwolf too, before running their first own European headlining tour in March 2016. Ravenhead became a chart success in several European countries, with #16 in the German album chart marking their all-time best result. Now Gunmen continues the band’s track record, combining classic Teutonic metal with a modern production on international top level. 

On October 13th, the band’s next headlining tour will kick off – and it’s about to become one of the year’s best melodic metal tours for sure. Italian symphonic power metal masters Rhapsody Of Fire will be Orden Ogan’s special guests this time and another high-class supporting act will be announced soon as well. Rhapsody Of Fire have just released their new album Legendary Years that features rerecordings of old classics and was mixed and mastered by Orden Ogan singer/producer Seeb. On this tour they will present new singer Giacomo Voli and the new drummer Manuel Lotter (ex-Emil Bulls).

Orden Ogan recently released the second single from their new studio album, Gunmen, out on July 7th via AFM Records worldwide. “Fields Of Sorrow” is one of the ten tracks featured on the new release, which also offers a guest appearance of former Leaves’ Eyes/Theatre Of Tragedy vocalist Liv Kristine on the song “Come With Me To The Other Side”.

Band leader Seeb Levermann: ““Fields of Sorrow” is a special song for us in many ways: besides the (virtual) title track “Gunman”, it is the only song in Orden Ogan’s history which I wrote together with our guitarist Tobi. Also, “Fields Of Sorrow” is quite likely the most melancholic song we’ve ever recorded. Lyrically we enter a kind of “Dark Fantasy/Wild West/Civil War“ world, telling the story of a man who loses the love of his life on the battlefield and has to bury her right there - while the Civil War is still raging on. The lyrics show his dark, heartbreaking thoughts in these minutes, a sad but realistic picture of human existence. With its epic-melancholic chorus, modern grooves, heavy riffs and orchestral arrangements, “Fields Of Sorrow” features all of Orden Ogan’s trademarks.”

The album was once again produced by the band’s guitarist/vocalist Seeb Levermann, who just recently had also handled mixing & mastering duties for Rhapsody Of Fire’s latest release, Legendary Years.
