Made from 100% stainless steel, this Viking Harley Davidson Touring luggage rack is designed specifically to go with Tour-Pak lids. The rack is built using copper as a base coat, followed by nickel and chrome which is then hand polished to create a long-lasting, rustproof, and waterproof coating. Lightweight steel tubing with high-quality welded joints for longer excursions which is sturdy and built tough for the wear of the road. The Harley Touring tour pak rack has a total weight capacity of 10 lbs and comes with the all necessary mounting hardware. To compliment your riding style, this rack is also available in matte black.

How To Install A Luggage Rack On My Tour-Pak

If purchased new it should have come with a template. If not, you need to measure. I did mine in a very unconservative manner. I trashed the template and put 4 pieces of masking tape on the area where I wanted to mount my rack. I put 4 thumb tacks inside the screw holes on the bottom of the rack and placed it on top of the masking tape. Using slight pressure, the thumb tacks put marks/holes on the masking tape. I drilled through the holes on the masking tape for a perfect fit. Maybe I did it the hard way but mine came out perfect.  

Take your time and look at some other bikes to see how far back you want it. After you decide positioning, use some two inch masking tape about where the legs will mount .Use four pieces of two inch by two inch . Now all ya have to do is trace around the legs on the masking tape and drill. I also had my bike standing straigt up when positioning the rack  

I just used the template, marked the holes, used masking tape so the paint didn't crack and drilled away. Now bag rails that is another whole bag of worms lol  

did just like big g to a tee , cept I did put a tape measure to it to try to get even closer , one leg is off about a 16th , but you'd never know by puttin an eyeball to it also I have some white lithium grease aerosol and give the threads a shot of that as well JtB  

I went the other way Jack and used loctite on the threads. I figure the only way I'm taking the rack off again is the hard way. lol  

I just put the HD Airwing luggage rack on my Tour Pak and the instructions said that the templet was only for use if the tour pak had the optional spoiler. I put painters tape in the area when I knew the legs would end up, positioned the rack as close as I could by eyeball, and walked around it, carefully checking from every angle before marking and drilling! If it's not perfect you could never tell by just looking!

I masked mine off with painters tape. Once where I thought it was right I put double face tape on the little black spacers, sat the rack back on the lid, removed the rack, the caps stayed on the lid and I drilled there.
