8 Drake Lyrics that Make Us Want to Travel

By Katie Stanwyck

Published on May 20, 2021 | 6 min

Regardless of your musical taste,  it’s hard not to love some good Drake lyrics. He’s  one of the world’s biggest  musical  artists and  has dominated global charts for  over  10 years wi th his infectious mix of Rap/ Pop and R&B bangers.  Plus,  he’s  a former Degrassi star  ( a  TRUE  Canadian treasure ) and the best unofficial mascot that the Toronto Raptors could  ask  for.  It’s  thanks to all of this, and more, that  Drake has  just  been named as Billboard’s Artist of the Decade .

Drake lyrics tell us he loves a lot of things; his bed,  his mom, his son, and travelling  all  top the list of things  h e  tends to  sing  and  rap about. So, w hile we eagerly await the release of Certified Lover Boy and the answer to  all  our summer playlist prayers,  let’s take some time to reflect. What are we reflecting on? Why, the amazing Drake lyrics that his songs have put on the map! Other than his hometown of Toronto of course…

Add these 8 destinations to your bucket list and celebrate Drake’s big win with us…

“Just say your piece and peace up like Ibiza” – Ratchet Happy Birthday

Drake m ay  love his hometown of Toronto, but when he wants to let  loose,  he takes his private jet and  heads  to Ibiza.  From the gorgeous beaches to world-famous nightlife ,  the second you land in Ibiza  you’r e going from 0-100 no matter where  you’r e from.  Drake lyrics tell us love for Ibiza goes beyond just the boat parties and clubs  though,  becaus e he loves his secluded beaches so he can get his tan and swim on with views of the Mediterranean Sea.

“I move through London with the Eurostep” – Nonstop

Between London and  Gyalchester  (w hich is w hat  he’s renamed the city of Manchester), Drake lyrics show us that he loves a good UK vibe .  Drake’s London influences are all over his music and  he’s  been working with  more and more   g rime  and UK rap artists  throughout   his pro jec t s .  H e ’s   spent a lot of time in London , loves UK shows like Top Boy , and even wears some of their top  indie  de si gne r s .  W e ’d   love to tag along as he visits some of their most exclusive clubs and restaurants, and we ho nes tl y  w oul dn ’t   be surprised if the London Eye or Buckingham Palace  ma d e  it into a music  vi de o  s ooner o r l at er   either.

“Only lyin’ I do is lyin’ out in the Tropics” – Is There More

Despite his Canadian -ness , Drake lyrics showcase his love for  warmer weather, and talks about it almost endlessly.  Like us ,  h e craves a good  tan,  and loves recording  music  and relaxing in Jamaica, Barbados,  Dominican Republic, Belize … and  anywhere in the Caribbean basically.  His love for the Tropics shines through in a lot of his song samples  ( and even his occasional accent ) , and  the tropical vibes  help  him solidify his song of the summer status year after year.

“Come with me, fly you out to Greece, Full speed, survoler Paris” – Greece

Going  along  with his  recurring  water theme, Drake lyrics dropped all about this Mediterranean paradise this year, and we’re  not at all surprised  it’s  his  vibe .  Greece has some of the most stunning scenery in all of Europe, and the blue and white Greek hues are some of his most used  colour  schemes creatively.  Plus, Drake loves a good sunset which Greece is famous for,   and  on top of that  the pool and beach parties are right up his alley.  As he mentions in the song, h e can even  fly over  Paris and pick up his son Adonis on the  way;   if   w e’re  invited  to  Greece, he  can bring whoever he wants  if you ask us …

Greek Island Hopping

“Two-thirty, baby, won’t you meet me by The Bean?” – Chicago Freestyle

All Drake lyrics definitely hint at him spending a lot of time in the USA, and although Atlanta is an old fave , he’s given some love to the windy city more recently.  We can just picture him in a back room of a Chicago pizza joint, eating some  delicious  deep dish with a bottle of champagne to wash it down. He’s also a big fan of Michael  J ordan, so whe n he’s not meeting  someone  at the famous Bean (aka Cloud Gate) sculpture, he’s likely watching a Bulls game courtside, and w e’d  love  to be his plus one  at the United Center.

“I’m posted in Stockholm” – What’s Next

When  he’ s  looking for some down time and something a little different , Drake lyrics tell us that he parks himself in Stockholm for some Scandinavian chills. Drake may not be visiting Stockholm to  party  (who are we kidding, he always fits some of this in) ,  but   we’r e guessing he  heads to the city to take  in the views  and focus on writing some new lyrics.   It’ s the  colourful  buildings, countless bridges and  Baltic Sea views that are  probably doin g the trick for him.

Scandinavia

“Make a set sail in Croatia to get a leverage” – Lemon Pepper Freestyle

Scroll through Drake’s IG  and  you c an see  he ’s  a ll about that fancy ya cht life.   Ther e are few places more  beautiful to see by boat than the coasts of Croatia , and we can guess by his recent shoutouts to the country that he’s been spending some time there too. Drake lyrics prove that he loves to chill out on a boat o r spend time on a jet ski on vacation, and we’d love to join him on one of these aquatic adventures in Croatia one day.  H e ’s  also a Game o f  T hr o n e s   f a n ,   s o  w e ’ re   no t   su r p ri s e d   i f   h e ’s  scouted out his own piece of King’s Landing to buy in Dubrovnik.

“I wanna move to Dubai, so I don’t never have to kick it with none of you guys” – Free Smoke

If  Drake lyrics prove to us that he’s  into anything  it’s  luxury ,  which  means  Dubai’s the perfect spot for him to go when h e’s  feeling more  boujie  than normal.  Here he can really sit back, r elax  and treat himself to all the lavish things he deserves after being named Artist of the Decade by Billboard.  We could totally picture him  sandsurfing  (h e’s  p robably perfect  at it) during the d ay then heading on a yacht for some time to spend with the friends he brought with him.

Is drake bi recent lyrics spark questions about his sexuality.

drake travel lyrics

Canadian rapper Drake has been a dominant force in the music industry for over a decade. In recent months, a lyric from Drake’s latest album has sparked speculation about his orientation, igniting conversations within the LGBTQ+ community and the music industry at large. The ongoing dialogue surrounding Drake’s potential bisexuality highlights the complex interplay between celebrity, personal identity, and public perception.

As an influential figure in contemporary music, Drake’s image and public statements have always been subject to intense scrutiny. While he has been open about many aspects of his personal life, the topic of his sexual orientation has remained largely unexplored.

It is crucial to recognize that coming out is a deeply personal process, and the decision to do so publicly is one that should be made solely by the individual.

What are his lyrics?

Recently, Drake’s lyrics have ignited speculation about his sexual orientation . In his song “Members Only” from the album For All the Dogs Scary Hours Edition , Drake sings, “Feel like I’m bi ’cause you’re one of the guys, girl.” While he follows up with “all jokes aside,” the line has sparked discussions about Drake’s identity and his understanding of bisexuality.

This is not the first time Drake has faced scrutiny for his lyrics related to the LGBTQ+ community.

In his 2021 album Certified Lover Boy , he claimed to be a “ certified lesbian ,” which drew criticism from some listeners who felt he was misrepresenting and trivializing LGBTQ+ identities.

Understanding bisexuality

Bisexuality is when someone finds more than one gender attractive. Even though it’s getting more recognized and accepted, a lot of folks still get it wrong. Some common myths are thinking bisexuality is just a phase, that bisexual people can’t make up their minds, or that they’re into everyone equally.

When it comes to bisexuality in the media, there’s not a lot of it. When there is, it often sticks to clichés. Accurate and nuanced portrayals of bisexual characters are crucial in promoting understanding and acceptance within society.

Community response to Drake

drake travel lyrics

Public figures openly discussing their sexual orientation can have a significant impact on the LGBTQ+ community. When celebrities come out or express their identity, it can help to normalize and destigmatize diverse orientations. Visibility matters because it provides representation for those who may be struggling with their own identity and shows that they are not alone.

Because of this, Drake’s lyrics generated backlash from fans and the LGBTQ+ community. A lot of people have criticized him for his problematic portrayal of bisexuality and for seemingly using LGBTQ+ themes as a punchline or for shock value. Others enjoy it for promoting the LGBTQ+ community and it being a great lyric.

The conversation surrounding Drake’s lyrics highlights the need for more accurate and respectful representation of LGBTQ+ identities in music and media. It also emphasizes the importance of education and understanding when it comes to diverse sexual orientations.

So is Drake bisexual (or lesbian)?

Drake hasn’t actually confirmed his sexuality. The buzz about him being bisexual stems from lyrics in his songs that he mentioned were made in jest. While the debate surrounding his intentions and understanding of the topic continues, it is crucial to prioritize respect, inclusion, and accurate representation.

Whether Drake identifies as bisexual or not, his lyrics have opened up a dialogue that can lead to greater understanding and acceptance. Let us use this opportunity to listen, learn, and work towards a more inclusive world for all.

He’s dreadful. Who cares.

drake travel lyrics

What a weird, desperate article. Y’all could have written another cliche, shallow bi acceptance article without trying to wrap it around a condescending Drake lyric to a song that came out a half year ago.

We really are in the age of promotion and desperate “inclusion” mattering more than integrity and respect and not being a messy/problematic person.

drake travel lyrics

Kendrick bodied Drake. Nuff said.

drake travel lyrics

Who cares? I do along with millions of others , He’s not dreadful he’s pretty brilliant..

Millions think t rump is pretty brilliant. What’s your point?

@Kangol2, yes, what an odd time to try to use a lyric from an old Drake song to promote “bi acceptance”. Considering all the things that have transpired over the past year with Drake, I really couldn’t care less if he’s very much in the g e n der, s e x ual, romantic, emotion, commitment spectrum. If that is the case hopefully he’ll get the help he needs and won’t abuse or victimized anyone. Honestly, same could be said for Kendrick. There’s a lot of Diddy-like dudes in the industry.

There’s so much obsession with people’s s e x ual dimensions and wanting everyone to be “included”, that so many have thrown holding people accountable for their f v ck boy behaviors, harmful behaviors, insecure behaviors, problematic perspectives completely out the door.

15 of Drake's catchiest and most relatable lyrics about life

drake travel lyrics

Drake is a multi-millionaire , but his music has a way of making the average listener still feel they can relate to him. Since his  So Far Gone  mixtape brought him fame in 2009, Drake has given a massive audience lyrics for all moods: heartbreak, paranoia, the day-to-day hustle and bustle, frenemies, fake deepness and pettiness. It's likely that some of his lines have been the caption, social media status or text that you've sent at some point and there's nothing to be ashamed about. Drake is one of us, a proud spokesman for the overly sharing and often gray area obsessive millennial generation.

On Saturday, the rapper is releasing his latest project, the More Life playlist, and he promises the music will live up to its theme. Fans are surely hoping for new standout verses to add to their Drake bible. Until we get More Life , here are 15 of Dizzy's most catchiest and relatable lyrics ever. Lyrics via Genius.

1. "We live in a generation of not being in love and not being together/ But we sure make it feel like we're together"

— "doing it wrong" .

Here Drake calls out situationships , and the headaches they can be, as he's gone through some of his own.

2. "You know you gotta stick by me/ Soon as you see the text, reply me"

— "one dance".

Drake honestly needs to show a little bit more patience in his texting game. Even he doesn't like being ignored or left hanging.

3. "Pray the real live forever, man/ Pray the fakes get exposed"

—"know yourself" .

This prophetic lyric is clearly what we all feel about the people surrounding us in our lives.

4. "No new friends, nigga, we don't feel that/ Fuck a fake friend, where your real friends at?"

— "started from the bottom" .

Drake has issues with handing out the friendship title to just anyone. Discerning who's in your circle is a common issue that everyone faces. However, we'd like to add that new friendships can be good too.

5. "All I know if I die, I'mma muthafuckin' legend/ It's too late for my city/ I'm the youngest nigga reppin"

—  "legend" .

Everyone should feel like legends making their city proud no matter where they're from. This is the ultimate YOLO self-motivational moment.

6. "My license been expired I renew it after the weekend/ Fuck I know I said that shit the last seven weekends"

— "connect".

Even Drake has issues with procrastination. And in this song, forgetting to do a simple task might just cause him more problems. Such is life.

7. "Somewhere between psychotic and iconic/ Somewhere between I want it and I got it"

— "further thing" .

Whether working on that college degree, getting a dream job, business or relationship, the hustle to a better life is always on the forefront of many adults minds in their 20s and 30s. Once again, Drake is vulnerable in sharing this.

8. "Sweatpants, hair tied, chilling with no makeup, that's when you're the prettiest hope that you don't take it wrong"

— "best i ever had".

Drake is like any other person who is really into someone and can still see the beauty when they're in their most laid back moments.

9. "And this is the only sound you should fear/ Man, these kids wear crowns over here and everything is alright"

— "shot for me".

Drake is once again establishing his self-worth and proudly walks in it.

10. "I live for the nights that I can't remember with the people that I won't forget/ Spending all the money that I just worked my ass off for doing things that I won't regret"

— "show me a good time".

This line can take anyone back to the special times they've had with friends and family. Drake lives to make these priceless memories happen.

11. "And you don't do it for the man, men never notice/ You just do it for yourself you're the fucking coldest"

— "fancy" feat. swizz beatz & t.i..

On "Fancy," Drake gets some cool points for making an anthem dedicated to women who are focused on their own grinds. They're flawless whether with or without men and Drizzy is simply admiring it.

12. "I just take my time with all this shit, I still believe in that/ I had someone tell me I fell off, ooh, I needed that"

— "headlines".

As popular as Drake is, he still takes constructive criticism. While celebs look perfect from the outside, he let's us know he doesn't let the fame go so far to his head that he can't make adjustments.

13. "I'm Harlem shaking through the pressure/ I might put Diddy on my next shit"

— "digital dash".

This funny line is using the original Harlem shake, which Diddy popularized in music videos , as a metaphor for how to survive when it gets tough.

14. "I want to take it deeper than money, pussy, vacation/ And influence a generation that's lacking in patience"

— "from time" .

Drake sees our generation is lacking authentic connections, and as he reflects, he decides he wants to lead by example in his own relationships.

15. "Yeah, trigger fingers turn to twitter fingers/ Yeah, you gettin' bodied by a singin' nigga"

— "back to back" .

The infamous line calls out Meek Mill who made accusations against Drake on Twitter which led to their famous rap beef in 2015 . Drake is also criticizing the fact that Mill took his frustrations out online instead of addressing him in real life, a downfall in the age of social media that has lost folks jobs, relationships and ruined reputations.

About God's Plan

"God's Plan" is a song recorded by Canadian rapper Drake, released on January 19, 2018, through Young Money and Cash Money. Written by Aubrey Graham, Ronald LaTour, Daveon Jackson, Matthew Samuels, and Noah Shebib and produced by Cardo, Yung Exclusive, and Boi-1da, the track acts as a single from his second EP, Scary Hours (2018), and the lead single from his fifth studio album, Scorpion (2018). Musically, it has been described as pop, pop-rap and trap, whose lyrics talk about fame and his fate. "God's Plan" received mostly positive reviews from music critics, who called it a typical Drake song. An accompanying music video for the song was directed by Karena Evans and uploaded onto Drake's official YouTube channel on February 16, 2018. In the video Drake is giving away nearly one million US dollars to people and institutions in Florida. It received five nominations at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards, including for Video of the Year and three nominations at the 61st Grammy Awards for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Rap Song, winning the last one. Commercially the song became the 29th song in history to debut at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100, making it Drake's fourth chart-topper in that country, and second as a lead artist. The single topped the charts in fourteen countries, including the UK and Canada and reached the top ten in nine others. The song broke first-day streaming records on both Apple Music and Spotify, and was the most streamed song of the year on both services.   more »

A Timeline of Alleged Drake Reference Tracks Leaking

For years, it has been commonly known that Drake uses collaborators to help with his songs and, seemingly, his verses. Here are all the leaked reference tracks to leak so far.

By:  Miki Hellerbach

There was once a time when rappers (especially those who claim to be the best in the world) were expected to pen lyrics solely by themselves. Times have changed, and rap music—which is now more closely associated with pop—has updated the way the creative process works. It has become more common for rappers, producers, and singers to adopt a more collaborative process. No one has signaled this change more than Drake , the most dominant rap artist of the decade.

Since 2011, when there were very loud whispers about The Weeknd’s contributions to Take Care , it has been commonly known that Drake uses collaborators to help with his songs and, seemingly, his verses. (When a reference track leaks, it’s not clear if the artist is getting help with their verses or flow.)

But on July 22, 2015, Meek Mill officially broke the dam when he tweeted , “Stop comparing drake to me too…. He don’t write his own raps! That’s why he ain’t tweet my album because we found out!” Later that day, it was revealed that Atlanta rapper Quentin Miller had allegedly written Drake’s verse on Meek’s 2015 single “R.I.C.O.” Soon after, Atlanta rapper OG Maco tweeted a screen grab of the credits for Drake’s latest project at the time, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, where Miller was credited as a writer on multiple songs, including “6 Man,” “10 Bands,” and “Know Yourself.” The next day, Funkmaster Flex premiered an alleged Quentin Miller reference track for “10 Bands” on Hot 97.

While Drake ended up dominating Meek Mill in the short-lived rap battle that followed, there would be a new question mark around Drake’s hip-hop legitimacy amongst purists. Since then, ten more alleged reference tracks have been exposed adding fuel to the initial questioning of Drake’s lyrical validity. Seeing a credit is one thing, but actually hearing another person lay down seemingly original lyrics for Drake to copy has some fans question ing how much they can trust Drake’s pen at all.

In response to all the recent leaks (there have been four this year thus far and two in the last week), we have decided to track the history of all of Drake’s alleged leaked reference tracks.

Released Song: “10 Bands” (2015)

Leaked Reference Track: Performed by Quentin Miller (2015)

The reference track that started it all. Funk Flex dropped many bombs upon its premiere and it sent Drake fans and haters into a tizzy. Arguably the song’s best punchline “ My ex asked me where ya moving I said on to better things ,” is heard delivered clearly by Miller.

“10 Bands” has a quintessential Atlanta glitz to its tone which plays sweetly off the cold Toronto texture of the instrumental. There was even a section of the reference track that was, at one point, cut up and presented as another alleged reference for Drake’s 2013 hit “Started From The Bottom.”

Released Song: “Know Yourself” (2015)

drake travel lyrics

In a 2015 cover story for The Fader , Drake talked about being jealous of Wiz Khalifa for making “Black and Yellow,” which was an anthem for his hometown of Pittsburgh to sing along to. Drake then proclaimed: “I told myself, over the duration of my career, I would definitely have a song that strictly belonged to Toronto but that the world embraced. So, ‘Know Yourself’ was a big thing off my checklist.” Finding out Drake’s song for his city was partially created by someone not even from there is a wild revelation. Funkmaster Flex ended up leak ing this a week after “10 Bands.”

Released Song: “R.I.C.O.” by Meek Mill ft. Drake (2015)

drake travel lyrics

While this leak didn’t lead in any way to a Meek Mill advantage in his battle with Drake, it did leave a lingering impression. It seems like Quentin Miller just handed Drake a full verse. Funkmaster Flex was responsible for this leak, as well, which caused many to wonder if Meek Mill was the one who gave him all of the reference tracks in the first place. Flex eventually claimed that Drake gave Meek Mill this specific reference track to prove he wasn’t sending shots his way on “R.I.C.O.”

Released Song: “Used To” ft. Lil Wayne (2015)

drake travel lyrics

While it didn’t catch quite as much attention as “10 Bands,” “Know Yourself,” or “R.I.C.O.” Funkmaster Flex also premiered Drake’s Quentin Miller reference track for his collaboration with Lil Wayne from If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late . This one is a bit more interesting and funny to listen to because Miller is hilariously mumbling some of his flow ideas. One could deduce that this track was much more of a collaboration, but it still seems clear Miller had a lot to do with forming the track’s core elements.

Released Song: “Legend” (2015)

drake travel lyrics

Leaked Reference Track: Performed by Partynextdoor (2016)

“Legend” arguably contains one of Drake’s stickiest melodies. The song, which is the first on If You're Reading This It's Too Late , really set the tone for the most Toronto-sounding album he’s ever released. There is some irony that a monumental song about Drake’s legacy features such a heavy hand from another artist. Partynextdoor solely produced “Legend,” and there is also a writing credit from Miller.

Released Song: “Company” feat Travis Scott (2015)

drake travel lyrics

Leaked Reference Track: Performed by Partynextdoor (2016) (Leaked version titled “647”)

One of the interesting things about “Company,” is that Partynextdoor has no song writing credit on the final version. (It’s only Drake and producers Travis Scott and Ebony Oshunrinde.) It’s wild to hear some of the core melodies Drake used being created by Party.

Released Song: “Greece” by DJ Khaled ft. Drake (2020)

drake travel lyrics

Leaked Reference Track: Written and Performed by Oz (2019)

“Greece” is probably Drake’s least successful DJ Khaled collaboration. But it made a pretty good reference track. The song’s producer, Oz, actually posted a snippet of his reference track for the song on Instagram in 2019. When Drake’s version was released, people on the internet found that reference and exposed it to the world. Oz’s croons on the reference are at times indecipherable lyrically, but the main melodies are clearly all his. Should also be noted that Oz has an official writing credit on the song.

Released Song: “Jumbotron Shit Poppin” (2022)

drake travel lyrics

Leaked Reference Track: Performed by Lil Yachty (2024)

It has been no secret that Lil Yachty helped Drake with much of his 2022 album with 21 Savage, Her Loss . You can clearly hear his background vocals on many other tracks besides this one. This is, however, the only reference track leaked from the project. When you hear the Yachty version you can hear why Drake’s version worked so well when it dropped, but also how much it isn’t really his song idea. Yachty is officially credited as a writer and co-producer on the track.

Released Song: “Calling For You” ft. 21 Savage (2023)

drake travel lyrics

Leaked Reference Track: Allegedly Performed by Cash Cobain (2024)

This is the only reference track here that has flat-out been denied to be real. Bronx rapper/producer Cash Cobain has even claimed it was probably made by AI . Cobain's alleged reference track does sound incredibly believable though. Like many references before it, the song sounds more natural in his cadence than Drake’s. Cobain also produced the song so it would make complete sense—given Drake’s track record—that Cobain would send it to him with the melody and lyrics already intact. Cash Cobain is an officially credited lyricist on the song along with ten other writers.

Released Song: “Mob Ties” (2018)

drake travel lyrics

Leaked Reference Track: Performed by Vory (2024)

Vory famously contributed to Bryson Tiller’s breakout 2015 hit “Don’t,” which was released three years before “Mob Ties.” Given Tiller’s early affiliation with Drake, who almost signed him, it would make sense that they would share writers. “Mob Ties” doesn’t really sound much like other Drake songs. It uses a southern trap flow that seems a bit outside of Drake’s natural range and its lyricism is not credible coming from Drake.

Released Song: “Ratchet Happy Birthday” (2018)

drake travel lyrics

Leaked Reference Track: Performed by Partynextdoor (2024)

This is the most recent leaked reference and potentially the least surprising. When you hear Party singing it you realize how much the melodies are in his natural pocket.

Did Drake Write ‘Mob Ties’ From ‘Scorpion?’ The Vory Reference Track, Explained

Derrick Rossignol

Claiming that a rapper didn’t write their own song, especially when it’s personal in nature or regularly cited as among their best work, is a serious accusation in the hip-hop world. Drake is facing such an allegation right now, about his 2018 Scorpion highlight “Mob Ties.”

Did Drake Write “Mob Ties” From Scorpion ?

According to Complex , Akademiks said he had heard that it was actually Vory who wrote the song. Vory, by the way, is actually credited as a co-writer on the released song.

Now, what is supposedly a leaked “Mob Ties” reference track by Vory has leaked, adding credence to Akademiks’ claim. The reference track is largely the same as the version that appears on Scorpion , but it does contain some differences.

Since the apparent reference track surfaced, folks on social media have been debating the impact of the situation. One X (formerly Twitter) user wrote, “This doesn’t prove anything other than they worked on the song together. The lyrics in Drake’s version are completely different and way better if we’re being honest. Thank God this was Drake’s song and not Vory’s.”

Of course, given how convincing AI technology has become, it’s also possible that this reference track is fabricated and not legitimate. Whatever the case, people are talking.

Drake Raps Over Metro Boomin’s ‘BBL Drizzy’ Beat on New Sexyy Red Project

Drake raps over Metro Boomin 's "BBL Drizzy" beat on the new Sexyy Red song "U My Everything" off her new EP In Sexyy We Trust .

Drake Slides on "BBL Drizzy" Beat

On Friday (May 24), Sexyy Red dropped her latest offering, which features a guest appearance from Drizzy on the track "U My Everything." On the Tay Keith-produced song, which can be heard below, the beat flips in the middle of The Boy's verse to Metro's viral Drake diss beat.

"BBL Drizzy, they want a new body, they ask me for it/The last one drunk, he did it for free 'cause I sent over so many passports for him, for real," Drake raps over the instrumental. "Don't even worry 'bout all of that s**t/Just keep it natural for 'em, I swear/I got a passion for ya, I swear/I got attraction for ya, I swear, yeah/You think I'm a bastard girl, but I swear/You ain't get your masters but I still break in your back in the master bedroom, I swear/You send a pic in them shorts/And I had to send ya a cash and act like I was there/You the hood b***h of my dreams, Sexyy, girl, you just ask for me, and I'm there."

Metro boomin disses drake with a beat.

After Drake dissed Metro Boomin on the song "Push Ups"  by imploring the super producer to "Shut your b***h-a*s up and makes some drums," Metro did just that in the form of the instrumental "BBL Drizzy," which plays into the rumor that Drake has surgery done on his body. Metro offered a free beat to the person with the best verse over the track. He later upped the ante and offered $10,000 to the winner plus a free track, which prompted a wave of hilarious entries.

Drake responded to the beat  on social media, "You just cheffed a beat about my a*s?" Now he appears to be having fun with the viral track.

The Confirmed and Alleged Violent Moments of Diddy’s Past

Drake has his own solo song on Camila Cabello's new album without her: Here's why

drake travel lyrics

Drake is set to appear on Camila Cabello's album and she "luvs it."

The "I Luv It" songstress is set to release her fourth solo album "C,XOXO" since leaving "X Factor"-formed girl group Fifth Harmony in 2016 , and the Toronto rapper is slated to appear on two songs. In a new interview with Billboard, she opened up about the surprising collaboration and sliding into the streaming titan's Instagram DMs.

"I showed him the album when I felt comfortable enough and he really liked it. (The feature) came out of a non-transactional place. He had this idea of a song called 'Hot Uptown,' and it just felt like I was in the city. I was in Miami," she told Billboard.

Kendrick Lamar and Drake rap beef: What makes this music feud so significant?

Drake, who she called the "GOAT," also has his own solo track on Cabello's album – without her – called "Uuugly," a two-minute interlude directly following their collaboration "Hot Uptown."

"Why does he have his own song? Because selfishly, I just want to hear Drake on my own album. I love that for me — it's like that rebellious mood. Who says I can’t do that?" Cabello told Billboard, while her album co-producer  Jasper Harris added that the interlude was Drake's idea.

Billboard also shared that the lyrics on "C,XOXO" are all written by the "Havana" hitmaker. The album, which is due June 28, will arrive two months after Drake's highly publicized rap beef with Compton peer Kendrick Lamar . The beef came as the rappers traded barbs in numerous songs from Drake's "Family Matters" to Lamar's "Not Like Us."

Cabello has sparked criticism on the internet for her upcoming album , which features collaborations with several Black artists — including "I Luv It" collaborator Playboi Carti, Drake and Lil Nas X . One viral X post said, "From a racist to now depending on black people to try and sell this," adding "this rebrand sucks and she sucks."

Another X post said , "one thing about Camila, she's going to use blk culture for herself!" Cabello has been the subject of past accusations of racism. In 2019, she apologized, saying she was "deeply ashamed of" using language when she was younger that she "will regret forever."

"I was uneducated and ignorant and once I became aware of the history and the weight and the true meaning behind this horrible and hurtful language, I was deeply embarrassed i ever used it," she wrote on social media.

Drake, Camila Cabello collaboration comes after 'Call Her Daddy' comments about rapper

Cabello appeared on a March episode of "Call Her Daddy" and addressed rumors about a romance between her and Drake after confirming her past relationship with Shawn Mendes didn't "feel right."

"Call Her Daddy" host Alex Cooper asked Cabello about photos that  came out last December  of Cabello and Drake vacationing together in Turks and Caicos. The photos, which saw the artists riding on jet skis, smiling and laughing together on a yacht, came up during a conversation about what "single Camila" is like.

Camila Cabello opens up about Drake, ex Shawn Mendes on 'Call Her Daddy'

"I try to really prioritize that part of my life. It's just so fun. I honestly love being single," before later telling Cooper, "I will say, you know what, I love that man. I love him."

Camilla Cabello responds to 'I Luv It' criticism about 'C,XOXO' lead single

Cabello released her first single "I Luv It" for "C, XOXO," in late March and the internet did not, well, love it. She addressed the criticism of the song, which she called "weird" and "new territory," and has since became a viral sound on TikTok.

"The unpredictability of it is so different for me," she says. "It's such a kick-the-door-down moment, sonically, that it makes me feel strong and powerful," Cabello said. "At least for me, in this stage of my life, it would feel so unfulfilling to just have a song that was big but felt like something that I've already done before."

Drake helped the WNBA announce Toronto's expansion team and fans trolled him with Kendrick lyrics

I t was a banner day for Toronto basketball on Thursday as the WNBA officially announced the city would receive the league's first expansion team north of the border and all the big stars came out to celebrate.

Scottie Barnes made an appearance at the announcement. So did Kyle Lowry — who hasn't even played for the Raptors since 2021, but remains beloved by Toronto.

Drake was also there, and the second the internet found out, that kind of derailed any other talking point. After all, what is anyone supposed to do upon seeing him except snicker at how badly he lost a rap beef with Kendrick Lamar ?

For that matter, what is anyone at the announcement supposed to say to Drake right now? Imagine what making small talk with him must be like. It can't be anything less than awkward. Granted, it would be notable if Drake weren't at a foundational pro basketball event in his hometown , but it doesn't seem like his cooldown period has been long enough after the beef .

WNBA fans certainly weren't ready to let it go.

Snoop Dogg Thanks 'Nephews' Drake and Kendrick Lamar for 'Raising the Bar' with Their Rap Beef

The rap veteran says "the writing has been upped since the confrontation" between the stars began

The latest star weighing in on Drake and Kendrick Lamar ’s headline-making feud is none other than Snoop Dogg , and — spoiler alert — his advice was not to drop it like it’s hot .

The rap stars’ months-long back-and-forth has captured the attention of everyone from Tom Hanks to Uma Thurman , who offered Drake her Kill Bill costume . Now, the rap veteran, 52, is offering his two cents.

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight about the months-long rap beef (which has also included artists like J. Cole , Future , Metro Boomin and Rick Ross ) Snoop shouted out, not criticized, the rappers — and called them his “nephews.”

"Well, the only thing I want to say about that whole scenario is that I want to give both of them a shout-out for raising the bar as far as lyrics, as far as song-making and writing,” the rapper told the outlet, “because the writing has been upped since the confrontation or whatever you call it, whatever they went through.”

“Those are my nephews,” he added. “I'm not in the middle of it. I support both of them and that's personal business, not my business."

No stranger to rap beef, the “Gin and Juice” artist also said that the pair’s public feud — which has included everything from lyrical disses to Instagram call-outs — has upped the rap game as a whole.

"As far as what they did for the industry and the rap game, they made you rap again," he told ET . “You can't mumble your way and gimmick your way to a song no more, buddy.”

“So, thank y’all,” he added.

Contrary to his new comments, Snoop was already "in the middle of" Drake and Lamar’s beef before his ET interview — although it wasn’t necessarily by choice.

As Drake, 37, waited for Lamar, 36, to respond to his leaked "Push Ups" diss track in April, he released another song, "Taylor Made Freestyle,” aimed at the "Be Alright" rapper, and it controversially featured AI verses from Snoop, as well as the late Tupac Shakur . (It also featured a Taylor Swift name-drop .)

In his AI verse, the “Drop It Like It’s Hot” rapper disses Lamar before Drake comes back in with: “Yeah, unc', that's the truth.”

Sharing a confused reaction to the unexpected feature back in April, Snoop posted a video on Instagram. In the clip, which he captioned, “🤷🏾‍♂️🎤👀🤣⏰ 🤖," the rapper slowly creeped into frame and said, “They did what? When? How? Are you sure?”

After a loud sigh, Snoop continued: “Y’all have a good night and to all … Why everybody calling my phone, blowing me up? What the f---? What happened? What’s going on?”

"I’m going back to bed," he finished. "Good night."
