Deck layout and review, review of disney magic deck 6 (cabins).

Cruise cabins from 6000 to 6654, of which Interior cabins (categories 11A and 11B – Standard), Oceanview cabins (category 09A – Deluxe), Oceanview with Veranda cabins (7A – Deluxe with Navigator’s Verandah; 5B, 5C and 6A – Deluxe).

On Deck 6 are located 2 staterooms (plus 6 on Deck 5) that are oceanview but can be booked as "Category 10 inside". Their views are from obstructed porthole windows. The obstructed view is by the canisters holding liferafts. Deck 5's "Secret Porthole cabins" are located near the "Flounder’s Reef Nursery" and "Buena Vista Theater". These staterooms also benefit less foot traffic and noise. For comparison, most Category 10 cabins are without windows and located on lower decks (many under nightclubs). "Secret Porthole cabin" numbers are 6006 (less obstructed), 6506 (less obstructed), 5020, 5520, 5022, 5024 (connecting, most obstructed), 5522, 5524 (connecting, most obstructed).

"Secret Balcony cabins" (aft on decks 6 and 7) are in Category 7A but unlike Category 7A's enclosed "navigator’s veranda" they have a regular (step-out) balcony. These staterooms have a slightly obstructed view due to deck location (at the ship's very end). These cabins numbers are 6134, 6634, 7120, 7620.

Disney Cruise Line reveals ship deployment plans for late 2025, early 2026

P ort Canaveral, Florida, will get to keep three Disney Cruise Line ships in late 2025 as the sailing plans for six of what will be eight ships in the fleet were revealed.

That includes Disney Treasure, set to debut this winter, and 2022’s Disney Wish as well as older ships Disney Magic and Disney Fantasy trading off sailing duties.

The new homeport and sailing plans for Disney Destiny, a sister ship to Wish and Treasure, were not announced, but they're slated to be delivered to the line at a yet-to-be-revealed date in 2025 and could end up at DCL’s new second Florida home in Port Everglades.

Also debuting in 2025 will be the Asia-bound Disney Adventure, but for now, DCL only revealed sailing plans for its two original ships, Magic and Wonder, its two decade-plus-old ships Dream and Fantasy and its two most recent ships, Wish and Treasure.

Port Canaveral will continue to host Wish sailing short three- and four-night Bahamas trips, while Treasure will continue with seven-night Caribbean sailings.

Disney Magic, which arrives to the port in summer 2025, will remain through October and then be replaced with Disney Fantasy in November, doing a four- and five-night set of itineraries through May 2026.

Wish, Magic and Fantasy all have some trips that visit Disney’s newest private Bahamas destination, Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, which welcomed first guests this month. Some sailings visit both Lookout Cay and the line’s original Bahamas private island, Castaway Cay.

Many of the September and October sailings will take on the popular Halloween on the High Seas theming while November and December sailings will have the Very Merrytime holiday theme.

Disney Magic has not sailed from Port Canaveral since 2016, and as the line’s oldest ship has been tasked with bouncing around the world for short-term stays at various markets. It will do so again after October, first heading to Puerto Rico for a series of seven-night Caribbean sailings, and then making its way to Galveston, Texas, for four- to seven-night western Caribbean trips through May 2026.

Disney Dream will keep sailing from its new year-round home in Port Everglades, which opened for business last fall. It will tackle three- to five-night Bahamas trips visiting either Lookout Cay, Castaway Cay or both, as well as some stops in Nassau through May 2026.

After a summer of Alaska sailings, Disney Wonder will continue its late 2025 duties in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific, returning to the West Coast homeporting in San Diego beginning in March 2026 for three- and four-night Mexican Riviera sailings. This will be the third season Disney Wonder has sailed from Australia.

Bookings for the new itineraries open to the public June 28, with earlier dates available for the line’s variety of club-level members, but details can already be found on disneycruise.com.

I Just Took a Cruise to Disney’s Brand New Island Destination—Here's Why It's a 'Can't-Miss' Getaway

All ashore! Located in the Bahamas is Disney Cruise Line 's new island destination, Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point , a tropical paradise with, of course, a sprinkle of Disney magic. I was among the first to experience the breathtaking retreat in June of 2024. The Caribbean haven is one port of call that cruise line guests (the Disney Dream, Disney Magic and Disney Fantasy cruise ships will all sail to Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point) will want to plan to disembark at, not just because of the island's crystal-blue waters, but also for the entertainment on shore. Here's everything you need to know about the new island destination—including things to do, how it differs from Castaway Cay and so much more.

Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point Review

Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, which is steeped in Bahamian culture, is home to a colorful, can't-miss show called "RUSH! A Junkanoo Celebration." Local Junkanooes parade to the Goombay Cultural Center twice a day, introducing guests to the vibrant Bahamian festival. DCL passengers can expect to see Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy dancing during the celebration, dressed in looks by Bahamian fashion designer Theodore Elyett that embody the spirit of Junkanoo. You should 100 percent make an effort to catch one of the "RUSH! A Junkanoo Celebration" performances. Apart from the breathtaking beach, the vibrant show was a highlight for me! Disney partnered with the National Junkanoo Committee to bring the celebration of Bahamian culture to Lookout Cay.  Kishlane Smith , a member of the National Junkanoo Committee, tells  Parade , "Disney should be commended for its investment, its thought process, but more importantly the fact that they listened and they wanted to work with the Bahamians that are here in the Bahamas, for our culture, to safeguard it and to allow our visiting, viewing audience to partake in what we know to be the best cultural expression in the world." Guests with little ones will also want to swing by the Play-Play Pavilion for the "Disney Fun in the Sun Beach Bash," where they can participate in games like limbo and ring toss with Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale. While there is plenty to do for young passengers and families, including areas like Rush Out, Gush Out Water Play and Sebastian’s Cove, guests 18 years and older can escape to an adults-only area called Serenity Bay. Whether you're on the beach for families or adults, the island's turquoise clear waters and sandy shores provide a picturesque setting to relax and make magical vacation memories with loved ones. Less than 16 percent of the site was developed by Disney Cruise Line, leaving the majority of land in its natural state. "We realized very early on that we did not have to do much here at Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. Our focus has been to preserve and to feature the stunning natural beauty of the site,"  Joey Gaskins , DCL's Regional Public Affairs Director for the Bahamas and the Caribbean, tells  Parade.  "So whether it is the myriad of blues that you see in the water, or the pink sand... the rock structures at the end of the beach, it's really about bringing Bahamian culture to our guests," Gaskins added, "But also allowing the natural environment shine." And in the words of Mickey, "Oh boy," does it!

How to get to Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point?

The Disney Dream, Disney Magic and Disney Fantasy cruise ships will all sail to Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.

Does it take long to get to the beach?

The walk from the ship to the security check area on the island clocks in at under 15 minutes, so definitely apply sunscreen before leaving your stateroom. After the walk, you'll then have to board a tram that takes you to the main area. Overall, it's a little bit of a journey to the beach, but well-worth it once you see the pristine waters.

What can you do on Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point?

Apart from swimming, eating, drinking and enjoying signature Disney entertainment, there are a variety of activities, including the “Sights and Sounds of Junkanoo” family workshop, where you can learn Junkanoo traditions and crafts from local artisans. Guests can also go snorkeling, or discover the beauty of Eleuthera with a nature trail that can be walked or cycled. A banana boat, catamaran sailings and buggy tour are among the port adventure options. And, of course, you'll be able to do shopping while on the island. Pop into Treasures of Eleuthera for artisan crafts, or Disney T’ings for island-inspired Disney merchandise.

Can you eat on the island?

No need to worry about running back to the ship for lunch. Food is included—and don't sleep on the delicious chocolate chip cookies! You can grab a bite to eat at True-True, True-True Too BBQ, or at the adult dining area, Serenity Bay BBQ. Disney also has self-serve ice cream machines on the island. As far as drinks go, there are self-serve soda and water stations. Meanwhile, beer, cocktails, seltzers and alcoholic drinks can be purchased on the island. Beverages are served at Bow & Ribbon Bar, Watering Hole Bar and Reef & Wreck Bar, the Blue Hole Bar for adults, while you'll find specialty frozen drinks at Sandsational Smoothies, and specialty iced coffees at Mangroves and Go.

How is Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point different from Disney's Castaway Cay?

If you've sailed onboard a Disney Cruise Line ship before, you might be familiar with Disney's private island in the Bahamas: Castaway Cay. "We've been really thoughtful at Disney Cruise Line about creating Disney Lookout Cay as an opportunity to complement what our guests have experienced at Castaway Key," Gaskins tells  Parade . "So, the story of Castaway Key is that it is a place that our guests wash up on... [It] doesn't really exist in the Bahamas. It's kind of an imaginary place that has a lot of Disney influence... It's special. It's the perfect beach day. Our guests have come to love that experience." "Disney Lookout Cay is, again, inspired by the culture and heritage of the Bahamas," Gaskins continues. "We acknowledge that this is a real place, that we are on an island in the Bahamas, and that we are engaging with Bahamians."

Disney Cruise Line Announces Fall 2025 & Spring 2026 Itineraries

Disney Cruise Line has announced a new block of itineraries, covering September 2025 to May 2026. This announcement covers sailings on the Magic, Wonder, Dream, Fantasy, Wish, and Treasure. We expect information about sailings on the upcoming Destiny and Adventure ships to come at a future date.

Booking for these sailings begins on Monday, June 24, for Pearl level Castaway Club members with progressive openings until booking becomes available to the general public on Friday, June 28.

For the ships in this itinerary release, there are few surprises. DCL continues to use Port Canaveral and Port Everglades (Fort Lauderdale) in Florida as year-round home ports.

The Magic will make sailings from Port Canaveral, Galveston, and San Juan Puerto Rico, with several Bahamian and Caribbean itineraries. She will cross the Panama Canal in April 2026, repositioning to San Diego.

The Wonder will again visit the Hawaii, the South Pacific, Australia, and New Zealand, as well as Mexico and Baja, California itineraries.

The Dream will be based at Fort Lauderdale, primarily alternating three and four night Bahamian sailings, with a few five night sailings in the mix.

The Fantasy will undergo a dry dock in fall 2025, followed by a return to Port Canaveral where she will sail four and five night Bahamian trips from Port Canaveral.

The Disney Wish will sail alternating three and four night trips from Port Canaveral. And the Treasure will make seven night sailings in the Caribbean.

Characters and spaces revealed for Disney Cruise Line’s new ship, Disney Adventure

Disney Cruise Line’s new ship, the Disney Adventure, will include seven themed areas inspired by Disney, Pixar, and Marvel stories.

In late 2022, Disney Cruise Line acquired the Global Dream — an under-construction ship for the bankrupt Dream Cruises — and later announced it would become the Disney Adventure . The ship will home port in Singapore and offer its maiden voyage in 2025.

Announced today, themed areas for the Disney Adventure are inspired by Disney, Pixar, and Marvel stories and include venues not found on any other Disney Cruise Line ship. Similar to the lands of a Disney theme park, the Disney Adventure offers seven uniquely themed areas, each with dozens of characters and experiences.

Seven Unique Areas to Discover Aboard the Disney Adventure

The seven areas of the new Disney Adventure ship are described by Disney this way:

Disney Imagination Garden

The heart of the Disney Adventure is Disney Imagination Garden, an enchanted valley, charming garden, and open-air performance venue all in one. Inspired by 100 years of heroic and heartwarming Disney adventures — from Moana on the high seas to Mowgli in the jungle — this imaginative gathering space will be guests’ gateway to an unforgettable journey all their own.

Disney Discovery Reef

At Disney Discovery Reef, families will shop and dine in an ethereal and ever-changing retreat evoking favorite aquatic characters and nautical stories from Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios, including “The Little Mermaid,” “Lilo & Stitch,” “Finding Nemo,” and “Luca.”

San Fransokyo Street

San Fransokyo Street is inspired by the eclectic world of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Big Hero 6.” This family entertainment area will pulse with the energy and atmosphere of a vibrant street market and boast an assortment of interactive games and activities, shops, cinemas, and more.

Wayfinder Bay

At Wayfinder Bay, guests will be called by “the line where the sky meets the sea” to an open-air oasis under the sun, where relaxation and exclusive entertainment await. The sophisticated yet casual poolside retreat will reflect the Pacific Islands-inspired artistry of Disney Animation’s “Moana,” offering some of the most stunning views of the sea and sky aboard the Disney Adventure.

Town Square

Town Square will be a celebration of Disney royals — a magical land dedicated to those who wish upon a star hoping their dreams will come true. This fantastical forest filled with shops, lounges, cafes, restaurants, and entertainment venues will exude the enchanting feeling of summer in full bloom with nods to “Tangled,” “Cinderella,” “Frozen,” “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” “The Princess and the Frog,” and more.

Marvel Landing

At Marvel Landing, heroes unite in a destination for fans of all ages. As a celebration of Marvel’s larger-than-life personalities, this area will offer Avengers-level adventure, with all-new attractions and experiences that showcase imaginative representations of guests’ favorite super heroes.

Toy Story Place

Toy Story Place will inspire guests to explore, create, connect and have fun in a whimsical, interactive play land with themed food venues and water play areas, where the world of Pixar’s “Toy Story” movies and shorts springs to life in surprising and inventive ways.

Disney Cruises in Asia for the First Time

“We’re bringing the magic of Disney Cruise Line to Asia for the first time ever, and we want to give our guests the cruise relaxation and Disney fun they can only experience aboard one of our ships,” said Sharon Siskie, senior vice president and general manager of Disney Cruise Line. “When they set sail on the Disney Adventure, guests will find incredible, immersive areas that bring the worlds of Disney, Pixar, and Marvel to life in ways like never before — and these uniquely Disney experiences will inspire families to reconnect, recharge, and make unforgettable memories that they’ll cherish forever.”

A New Adventure on the Horizon

Upon its launch in 2025, the Disney Adventure will sail three- and four-night cruises from the Marina Bay Cruise Centre in Singapore until at least 20230 as part of a collaboration between Disney Cruise Line and Singapore Tourism Board.

Disney Adventure will easily be the largest of any ship in Disney Cruise Line’s fleet. Disney Cruise Line estimates the passenger capacity of the 208,000-gross-ton Disney Adventure to be approximately 6,700 with around 2,500 crew members.

Disney Adventure is Among Three New Disney Cruise Ships

In addition to the Disney Adventure, Disney Cruise Line is currently completing the Disney Treasure, launching in December 2024 with a maximum capacity of approximately 3,500 passengers and 1,500 crew members.
