Euro 2024, Copa America and USWNT

We will have full coverage of the European Championship from Germany and the Copa America, based across the United States. We’ll also be across the early days of Hayes’ tenure as head coach of the USWNT as she takes in friendlies in June and July before their bid for Olympic gold in France.

The Euros will be packed full of Premier League, La Liga , Bundesliga , Serie A and Ligue 1 stars, while Lionel Messi will get the chance to follow up his record-breaking MLS season at Inter Miami by looking to retain its South American equivalent with Argentina .

How will The Athletic cover the international games?

At the Euros, we will have a team of reporters based in Germany for the tournament, which starts on June 14 and ends on July 14.

For the Copa America, our writers will be stationed across the U.S., covering how the USMNT, Canada , Mexico , Brazil, Argentina and the rest get on from June 20 to July 14, when the final will be held at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.

The United States is the destination of choice for many clubs this summer, with Liverpool , Manchester United and Arsenal confirming they will be heading there and facing off against each other while Manchester City and Chelsea will take part in the Soccer Champions Tour alongside Real Madrid , Barcelona and AC Milan .

Wrexham, too, will also be in attendance in the States again after last year’s wildly successful tour there.
