The best thing about London Comedy is we love to laugh at ourselves!
Embarrassing moments, awkward encounters and clumsiness are all considered funny..
In London (and then UK) you can’t take yourself too seriously. We love to laugh at our own flaws and make light of our failures. It’s this self-deprecating humour that makes us seem more approachable, humble and relatable.
Participant guidelines
Minimum age: 12 (under 16s need to be accompanied by a paying adult, parent or guardian) the tour is unfortunately not suitable for those with mobility difficulties..
The experience content may vary from tour to tour.
You’ll get more than just a laugh!
There's whole city to explore.
With so many sites and attractions to pass as we make our way through the tour, there will be plenty of London’s eye-catching scenery to see on the tour too. So whilst filling your boots with plenty of laughter, don’t forget to take out your phones and take pictures of your friends and family members in front of some amazing picturesque backgrounds.

Why did we decide to launch London’s History of Comedy Walk & Tour?
Basically, because there isn't one (!) and Soho offers such a rich history and depth of Comedy. We will also strive to make the Tour as interactive as possible and include you, the group (or audience!) as much as possible. WSell even hello you make your best joke funnier!
History of London comedy
British comedy has had its own query identity and charm for centuries. shakespeare incorporated many chase scenes and beatings into his comedies, such as in his play the comedy of errors. .
The quarrelsome couple Punch and Judy made their first recorded appearance in Britain in 1662, when Samuel Pepys noted a “pretty” puppet play being performed in Covent Garden, London. The various episodes of Punch and Judy are performed in the spirit of outrageous comedy — often provoking shocked laughter — and are dominated by the anarchic clowning of Mr. Punch.
In early 19th century England, pantomime acquired its present form, which includes slapstick comedy and featured the first mainstream clown - Joseph Grimaldi.
Comedians who honed their skills at pantomime and music halls across London include Bob Hope, Mr Bean, Joe Lycett, Ken Dodd, Jimmy Carr, Stephen Fry, Sandi Toksvig, Peter Cook, Charlie Chaplin, Ricky Gervais, Joan Rivers, Charlie Chaplin, Laurel and Hardy and even William Shakespeare.
The UK is primarily known for satire and has had many fine examples on both TV and stage. From the 1960’s to Spitting Image and modern day comics, satire is used to criticise those in power, especially Governments and Fat cats. Freedom of speech is used to an extreme within Comedy and in dark times, may be the only form of protest that actually has any effect.
Interestingly, in Poland, the saying "British humour" means "not funny." But us Brits are proud of our humour. Its unique mixture of surrealism, satire and just plain silliness is one of things that define the British character.
Most cities have a particular sense of humour, finding some things much funnier than their neighbours and that is certainly the case with London. We love a sense of irony and enjoyment of sarcasm – often known as ‘banter’ and is a common and often hard-to-interpret trait.
With London having their own unique stamp on comedy that is simply hilarious, and with us being the only London Comedy Tour in town, surely that makes us London’s Funniest Tour!

One of my favorite vocations is writing about an hour and a half of humorous musings and friendly songs, with the aim of traveling around the planet to deliver them to you in person.
In this region of my website you can glean all the details you might require in order to come and see me run on at the mouth and play my guitar in a theatre near you.
Looks like the 2024 tour is currently all out of events.
Check back later.
An evening of deliberative talking and light dance that will compel you to chuckle whilst enjoining you to brandish a better side of humanity than the one to which we have grown accustomed. You will find me draped in a magnificent squirrel blouse, hand-crafted by Fort Lonesome of Austin, Texas.
While still uproariously funny, Offerman’s set was almost relaxing at parts... His performance was just so natural and very conversational in nature, seeming as though he was simply having a chat with his buddies. No matter what his topic was, his jokes landed effortlessly, eliciting laugh after laugh from the audience. Offerman can definitely be described as a more jovial version of his iconic “Parks and Recreation” character — opinionated, to-the point and well-spoken. Offerman’s “All Rise” was a highly entertaining, yet beautifully simple experience. Even though Ron Swanson once said “Never half-a** two things — whole-a** one thing,” Offerman proved he could master comedy, song and storytelling in one hilarious package. David Berman
This special yields a substantial amount of focus on personal hygiene and grooming techniques. But then I delve into other iterations of that titular phrase. I talk about preparing oneself to live in a survivalist way, fully in the bush as it were, which also involves making things with one’s hands. Implements of survival. I talk about loving one’s family, loving one’s neighbors. Meaty stuff, but always with a chuckle.
If you didn't catch the tour you can now pretend you were there from the comfort of your living room. Full Bush is now available as a comedy special. Rent or buy it here .
Summer of 69
This collaboration between myself and my astonishing bride Megan Mullally, otherwise known as “Queen of the Pixies”, is an entirely melodic and ribald pageant which might make you giggle and, more importantly, inspire some romance in your own life.
If you didn't catch the tour you can now pretend you were there from the comfort of your living room. Summer of 69 is now available as a comedy special. Rent or buy it here .
American Ham
Handkerchiefs. Red meat. Minor nudity. In my first comedy special, I enumerate my “10 tips for Delicious Living”. I gained about 30 pounds for this show, so as to appear more relatable. Filmed at New York City’s historic Town Hall.
If you didn't catch the tour you can pretend you were there from the comfort of your living room. American Ham is now available as a comedy special. Rent or buy it here .
The 2023 Tour
Join Nick for a night of deliberative talking, mirth, and music. An evening that compels listeners to chuckle while also causing them to honestly countenance the aspects of humanity about which we have to laugh so that we don’t attack one another with shovels. If the evening is light on dance, the audience has only themselves to blame.

Comedian Tommy Tiernan Unveils North American Tour Dates For Fall 2024
EXCLUSIVE : Following the April release of his 10th comedy special, Tommy Tiernan: Tomfoolery , and a sold-out U.S. theatre tour in 2023, Irish comic Tommy Tiernan has announced North American theater tour dates for his new show, Tommy Tiernan: tommedian , which will see him visit 13 cities from coast to coast in October and November.
Produced by WestBeth Entertainment, Tiernan’s new show is described a a fun-fueled trip through his comic imagination - a wild, uninhibited and fiercely physical display of stand-up featuring a madcap parade of characters, memories and ridiculous flights of fancy. Tickets go on sale Friday, June 7 at 10:00 a.m. Local Time.
Also an actor, talk show host, writer and podcaster, Tiernan has been performing stand-up for close to 30 years. Outside of stand-up, he’s perhaps best known for starring in the hit Channel 4/Netflix series, Derry Girls , which won an International Emmy, a BAFTA and other accolades in 2023. The host of the improvised talk show The Tommy Tiernan Show , which recently finished up its eighth season on RTE One, Tiernan has also recently been seen in Hulu’s Conversations with Friends , among other projects.
In April, Tiernan wrapped up the run of his acclaimed podcast Tommy Hector & Laurita , which hit over 30 million downloads in just over 3 years, with listeners in 175 countries around the world. Voted Ireland’s Funniest Living Person, he also notably holds a Guinness World Record for the longest stand-up comedy performance at 36 hours and 15 minutes.
